So what was your baby cousin named?
And the word of the day is: PAROL!
And yesterday, I forgot to mention one of my favorite pianists - Mr Jonathon Edwards....here playing while his wife Darlene sings "Cocktails for Two".... This is dinner music for people who aren't very hungry.

Mr Edwards has said that he considers the sheet music just a suggestion of what should be played.

Love Their Playing And Singing. And When You Know Who They Really Are It Makes The Experience Even Better
Greetings from Toyland!
I am glad you are a fan.

I stayed in bed this morning reading until 10:00. It was nice. I'm reading "Straight Man" by Richard Russo.

The version of BURN WITCH BURN on TCM had the prologue---a black screen with the voice of the narrator from WAR OF THE WORLDS and many other films---talked a bit a gave a protection invocation for those of us watching.
I am glad you are a fan.
Another fan here, too. I have all their albums! :)
DR Ben, I took a taxi. I had to much to cart5 from the apartment, but I will in the next 30 minutes take a No 7 Bus uptown. I accomplioshed much and i am quite happy to be back at work.
On Tuesday, I may take the bus back down, depending on how therapy goes on Monday.
I love Jonathan and Darlene, who did not perform much on the first recording "The Piano Artistry of Jonathan Edwards" or some such title. I believe it was the second album in Paris that established her as an artiste of the highest caliber. They and Anna Russell got me through college.

It is an interview with Richard Sherman. I believe it is from the CBS program Sunday Morning per the logo in the lower right corner. Not sure when it aired. It's more a "fluff" piece. Not much you can do in 7 minutes. It briefly touches on the new stage version of The Jungle Book and nothing on BK's cabaret show. It also doesn't mention the acrimonious relationship between the two brothers who when they weren't working together never spoke to or saw one another.

Of course the Documentary about them "THE BOYS" is a lot more interesting.

is that the one set in the college? I remember laughing hysterically at scenes in that book. Very farcical. Hope you enjoy it. I'm a big Russo fan.

I loved listening to the audiobook of that on a car trip a few years back.
This is what I am reading right now:

The second act has started and it looks like all the kids came back from intermission. That's good. A couple of the kids looked very scared during the first act, but evidently, they're going to tough it out. :)

Enjoyable light reading, sort of a gay P.G. Wodehouse, as I recall. Don't remember much of a plot, but I remember smiling a lot as I read it.

DR vixmom, you and Steve look so happy and wonderful in the photo!
G'night, John Boy.
I am totally stuffed from an early Indian dinner.

Vixdad isn't his real name?
I ordered BLUE HEAVEN....it sounds pretty funny....
I did find some books I've been wanting to read that weren't previously available, three out of about 30 I looked for. I'm especially excited about the new Jamie Ford book, SONGS OF WILLOW FROST, that came out last month. I'm 28th in the queue.
That is a better spot in the queue than the recently added Khaled Hosseini novel. I'm down from 55th to 53rd out of 107 holds with only 1 book.
That is better than the soon to be released John Gresham novel where I am 83 out of 134 people.

I'm 35th on the list for the CDs of Stephen King's Doctor Sleep. Maybe next year.
Thanks everyone for the nice words about my Scrooge pictures. I spent about two hours just going thru the second act looking for a particular shot, but I actually preferred some other photos more.
i've ben up since 3:00am this morning as I went to the local swap shop where around around 5am to wait in line to get a place to set up to sell stuff. I got rid of DVDs and Blu Rays I no longer watch. Also sold a bunch of CDs that are save on my laptop. I remember a time when you could sell your collection on Ebay for $$$$, but this is no longer the case, so it was sold for a fraction what I could get at one time. But I am glad to have got them finally out of the house. I will go back again sometime next month or early December to try and sell the balance. It nice to have some extra pocket $$$.

I've learned patience with the eBook library. I remember when I would rush out to buy a book or check it out shortly after a release date.
Last night Vixdad and I went out for our anniversary dinner

Vixmom, that's a great photo. And the description of dinner made my celery salad pale in comparison.

A celery salad? Sorry John, that sounds really boring.

we were allowed to hand crank the siren and to ring the bell
Almost time for THE AMAZING RACE which was delayed by football.

I was catching up - I see TCB has been making preparations to educate people, just in case anybody was wondering , I would dearly love to be educated

thank you Tommy, you are so sweet!
I love the Scrooge pictures - I do love a man with whiskers
TCB, love the Scrooge photos
I'm actually doing pretty well. Today the band rehearsed for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, took a break then played about a 90 minute concert. That's more than I think I'm ready for, but since we don't rehearse this week, I'm hoping I'll be fine for the next rehearsal which is 10 days away. Flute choir is next Sunday, but I can always sit out part of a rehearsal. Can't do that with a concert

I am sorry you weren't able to perform, Cilla; but probably the wise thing to do.

The only thing that i've been in a long line for at my library is Season Two of Homeland. I requested it way before they got it. But there were already 15 people ahead of me. So now i am #10. And we get dvds that are tv series for 1 week. So it will be at least December before I can see it.
