Good morning, all! After all of the mess yesterday, I'm taking things very slowly and easy today.  I suspect there will been enough angst in doing laundry, now that the lift is running again.

At this point, I feel as though I'm waiting for another round of fresh hell I'd like to avoid; I doubt I'm going to receive any good news concerning possible employment before Jan 2014.

Last night I had a dream where I was premiering a few songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical "Stephen Ward - The Musical". It was taking place in a church that looked like a theatre with a brand new digital organ that somehow broke during the performance. Lloyd Webber and his "people" were the only ones in the church/theatre in the upper balcony. All I could remember was running around from the pit to the organ (which was no where near the pit) to make my cues on time and wondering if we had ever rehearsed these songs. The last thing I remember was running to the organ, and it wasn't there. A techie priest had taken the console and was replacing the digital boards inside the console. He said he'd be done in a week.

Congrats to DR JANE.

DR MATTHEW the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that you always try to please people with your music, but sometimes the very people you are working for cause you problems - you also at times seek an unrealistic perfection in your work.

Great. Listened to "Hermits" this morning on my iPhone. Hate hearing songs like that out of context and in a mix with the likes of my exercise music, etc., but this one is fun no matter in or out of context.

I've been on the phone for a while.  Mom's Monday test showed an esophageal stricture for which her doctor wants her to see a gastroenterologist.  I've talked to her, the gastro's office, her primary doc's office, and her again.  We're all set for Monday, Nov. 18.

I've also talked to a nice young lady at Artie's, who made a reservation in the name of Palmer for 6pm next Wednesday, November 13.  I told her 8 people because that's the only way I could get her to note that we'd like the big table in the back.

Well I actually was out of work on time today -  came home changed clothes, took out the garbage, tarted the dishwasher,  have one load of laundry in the dryer and one in the washer,  and caught up here and now I am off to church for a Bible study !

I was kind of hoping to have an hour to myself but alas, not happening.  Rehearsal was fun, ate, picked up packages and have to leave in ten minutes.  Friday, phone unanswered, one morning rehearsal, and that's IT.

So far, for next Wednesday, I have myself, birthday-boy Richard, Elmore, Ben, ChasSmith, Vixmom.  I've invited Jose, too, but I'm not sure about him.  Who else?

Yes, the "lateness" of Thanksgiving this year has thrown me off, too. Glad you have the extra prep week, bk.

Well, it's late this year, but it's always the fourth Thursday of the month...it just can't get any later than it is this year

Had a nice rehearsal and an actor made a very good suggestion so we'll incorporate it and it now requires shuffling a couple of things around in act two.  But I'm still playing with a one act version, too, and that's a bit easier to shuffle.

I do have the CD and I like it.  I've only listened to it a couple of times, but I enjoyed it.  However, I'm not surprised that it's closing as soon as it is.  I does seem like a small-theater show, not a big Broadway house-type show. :-\
