And here I sit, waiting - once again - hopefully for the last time - for my electrician to arrive.  Final connections are to be made today, then next week the generator people come out and start 'er up.  Then the installation gets inspected, and Bob's my uncle.

Have I mentioned that, following a hilarious series of errors and misunderstandings regarding the price I was originally quoted, that I ended up going one model up, so now it's a 20kw?  You read that right.  20kw.  It's not a 17kw any more.  17kw is so passe, like, so "last week".

Good morning, all!  DR ChasSmith, I've had a hard time knowing which day it is ever since this infirmity began. Every day is like the other. Except for therapy days.

I am not going to Toyland today. It will be tomorrow. I slept poorly and it took me forever to get my act together this morning. Now that i am dressed, i have no idea what to do with myself.

TOD:
  DVD:  MIRANDA, several films
CD:  Dearest Enemy, Guy Haines, New Girl In Town
  VCR: zilch

DR Ginny, the problem with Toyland is that I will go down between 8-9:00, and, with my walking, i figure I'm there until I leave. I may not see you before you leave tomorrow. Your schedule's much fuller than mine!

Coverage is supposed to start with the first payment, but since my payment is covered by my subsidy....so I was trying to find out when my subsidy would be mailed the Anthem....

TOD, continued:

GIANT, to be sure, but how could I have forgotten OLIVER!?

That's one I never really appreciated back in the day.  I was never totally crazy about the show, anyway, but finally seeing the movie made me appreciate the material more than I had before.  But when I took a short preview of the Blu-ray the other night, I just about fell over at how magnificent it looks.  And sounds.  It's one for the big screen and the big speakers, and I'm probably going to end up loving it.  The film, anyway.

It's kind of shocking to think that in just over a year, I can be signing up for Medicare.  Isn't that something OLD PEOPLE do???  :)

But believe you me, I shall not dally, as I'm in an expensive personal policy HELL HOLE right now.

Happy Friday, all!

I've gone missing for a day or two with a family health crisis which is happily mostly over. My younger brother went in for open heart surgery yesterday, but all went well and he's recovering nicely. It kinda made it hard to breathe for a couple of days there.

The good news is I got my New Kritzerland music to learn for Dec. 1st. Looks like it will be a very Merry Krtizmas!   :D

DR Jennifer a friend of a friend wrote a book and dedicated to the grandfather of my friend's dog.  It is only $2.99.  I would buy it if B&N had it.

Don't know if I mentioned it here, but yesterday a couple we helped with a fiancé visa and an adjustment of status stopped in to surprise us with chocolate cupcakes to help celebrate their wedding anniversary.   The husband was one of those people who stopped in all the time all sad and depressed.   He was nearly in (happy) tears yesterday and said thanks in a very heartfelt way, especially to Edith who talked to him every time he came in.   The wife is from the Philippines and I was relieved to hear her whole family is in Manila and they are all ok.

I love it when they bring food....usually tamales around Christmas.  Oh and one brings a cake on my birthday.  It's extremely rewarding.  A year ago I would have had to give it up if I had gotten the job as a judge.  I'm so glad I didn't get it.  I have no intention of leaving it now.

Recovery vibes to your brother, DR ryacko!

Tonight, I worked concessions for a college production of "A Servant of Two Masters."  The only thing that I sold during the pre-show was one roll of Mentos.  Otherwise, I myself bought a double-chocolate cookie and some cashews. :-\ At intermission, no one even left the theater!  I had no other sales at all.  Oh, well.

Been back for an hour and on the phone ever since - there has, without going into detail (that's for later) been a lot of turmoil at the theater, mostly stemming from how the artistic director has been dealing with me and the show for the last two days.  I don't respond well to certain kinds of things, and unfortunately that's what's been happening and it pretty much came to a head tonight and I came close to pulling the show.  But she and I had a lengthy conversation just now, I told her what was not working in her approach and she apologized and said she'd try to do things in the way I need to have them done.  My two cast members have also been unhappy because they've felt very negative vibes - hopefully that will now all change.  I can't worry about anything other than now trying to get my cast where they need to be.  Some of the show is working spectacularly well and some of the performances need a bit of work.
