Well, you've read the notes, the notes had both oy and vey, and now it is time for you to post until the oy and vey cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MAUGRE!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
I have nothing to add to that.

Good morning, all.
Oy! When I saw that today's topic was Oy and Vey, I thought: Oy and Vey!
Coffee!!! Oh. Here it is.
-
It's Friday. Life is good.
-
And here I sit, waiting - once again - hopefully for the last time - for my electrician to arrive. Final connections are to be made today, then next week the generator people come out and start 'er up. Then the installation gets inspected, and Bob's my uncle.
Have I mentioned that, following a hilarious series of errors and misunderstandings regarding the price I was originally quoted, that I ended up going one model up, so now it's a 20kw? You read that right. 20kw. It's not a 17kw any more. 17kw is so passe, like, so "last week".
-
I've been completely off as to my days this week. It is indeed Friday!
TOD:
Finally getting to the James Dean Collection. First and foremost, GIANT, for which I have been waiting several years for a watchable copy. And that watchable copy will be in the player and on the screen...tonight!

Good morning, all! DR ChasSmith, I've had a hard time knowing which day it is ever since this infirmity began. Every day is like the other. Except for therapy days.
I am not going to Toyland today. It will be tomorrow. I slept poorly and it took me forever to get my act together this morning. Now that i am dressed, i have no idea what to do with myself.
TOD:
DVD: MIRANDA, several films
CD: Dearest Enemy, Guy Haines, New Girl In Town
VCR: zilch
-
good morning to all
-
dvd: barney miller and they included original pilot which I never had the opportunity to see. The first episode is the one with brownies laced with hash. It is my favorite episode from the series and one of my favorite episode from any tv series.
-
Friday morning greetings!
...
I am not going to Toyland today. It will be tomorrow. I slept poorly and it took me forever to get my act together this morning. Now that i am dressed, i have no idea what to do with myself....
DR Elmore, would you like to have brunch or an early lunch with us on your way to or from Toyland? I will call you today, either before Radio City or between that and MOTOWN.
-
Lovely TWELFTH NIGHT story DR GINNY.
-
Ten o'clock on Friday morning and I am going to take a shower. I must be retired.
-
Good morning, all.
Time for more barbecue.
-
Thanks, Ginny, for the notes on Twelfth Night, which has always been a favorite of mine, too. I guess because I read it back when I was at the point where the mockery of Malvolio had me in fits of laughter.

DR Elmore, would you like to have brunch or an early lunch with us on your way to or from Toyland? I will call you today, either before Radio City or between that and MOTOWN.
DR Ginny, the problem with Toyland is that I will go down between 8-9:00, and, with my walking, i figure I'm there until I leave. I may not see you before you leave tomorrow. Your schedule's much fuller than mine!
-

DR John G, Stephen Fry was quite wonderful in that role.
-
Seems somehow fitting that I have a browser tab labeled OY AND VEY.
EDIT: I'm going to leave it up all day.
-
My OY AND VEY browser tab is there as well.

Well the revamped Healthcare.gov site will not accept my password, so it asks me to click a link to reset the password, but then I don't get a reset email.....
Coverage is supposed to start with the first payment, but since my payment is covered by my subsidy....so I was trying to find out when my subsidy would be mailed the Anthem....
I guess I will just keep trying.
-
Touch me in the morning.....then just walk away.
We don't have tomorrow...but we had yesterday!
-
Only two full weeks of work left for me in 2013.
Sigh.
-
That's just ten days!
-
DR DOUG R - I enjoyed GRAVITY very much as well.....and it was only 91 minutes long, it did not overstay its welcome! And Sandra Bullock and George Clooney are very personable personalities..... What's NOT to like?
-
TOD:
FRANCES HA
DEXTER (Final Season)
MAD MEN (Season 6)
-
TOD, continued:
GIANT, to be sure, but how could I have forgotten OLIVER!?
That's one I never really appreciated back in the day. I was never totally crazy about the show, anyway, but finally seeing the movie made me appreciate the material more than I had before. But when I took a short preview of the Blu-ray the other night, I just about fell over at how magnificent it looks. And sounds. It's one for the big screen and the big speakers, and I'm probably going to end up loving it. The film, anyway.
-
And the word of the day is: MAUGRE!
And The Song Of The Day Is: FLY ME TO THE MOON
-
FLY ME TO PAGE TWO!
-
I'm up, I'm up - didn't fall asleep until three, so seven hours and it would have been more if the damn telephonic device hadn't run twice with those annoyance calls from people or concerns I don't know.
-

Quite a lot of modern films could similarly benefit from being only 91 minutes long!
-
DR Jennifer Ouch! I hope the swelling has gone down some.

Wow, were you one of the few people who actually got onto the site? Keith never could. Oregon gave up on theirs and now there is paperwork if you want it. He needs new insurance but can't seem to get any.
-
Sorry, I was E & T for most of yesterday. I didn't get home from rehearsal until after ten; and I was not in a very good mood. So, I went right to bed and read for a while.
-
DR TCB I expect you to be tired after rehearsals but not to be in a bad mood because of them-sorry.
-
I was one of the lucky ones DR JANE......but I won't really know until I hear something else. I was approved and accepted, but I have received no information since then.
-
Good luck DR Jrand. Extra frustrating is that Keith will have to change again in 3 months when he signs up for Medicare.
-

It's kind of shocking to think that in just over a year, I can be signing up for Medicare. Isn't that something OLD PEOPLE do??? :)
But believe you me, I shall not dally, as I'm in an expensive personal policy HELL HOLE right now.
-
I should have said HELL HOLE on Fire and Brimstone day.
-
Anyway... HELL HOLE. I like it. :)

And the insurance people are not going to let you forget. Since I turned 64 I've been inundated with literature and phone calls and it continues for Keith. Least I forget the waste from the government.
-
That reminds me, my application from my insurance company was acknowledged but I haven't received an acceptance.
-
I have about 19 months until Medicare.

Happy Friday, all!
I've gone missing for a day or two with a family health crisis which is happily mostly over. My younger brother went in for open heart surgery yesterday, but all went well and he's recovering nicely. It kinda made it hard to breathe for a couple of days there.
The good news is I got my New Kritzerland music to learn for Dec. 1st. Looks like it will be a very Merry Krtizmas! :D

I turned 65 in September. Have not signed up for MediCare or ACA.
Since I have a most excellent insurance with my employer until retirement, I'm not rushing into anything.

Page two? Really? Is this some kind of bad joke?
-
Had a patty melt and no fries or onion rings and have been doing lots of work that's show related and not writing liner notes, which I must do.
-
DR Jennifer Ouch! I hope the swelling has gone down some.
A little bit. I'm sure it will be fine in a few days. Just hard to wear shoes and walk.
-
I went to the new Target that opened on Wednesday. They had some really good sales on winter boots. Only they had none. Zero. All the shelves were empty. :(
-
And the sale started today.

The problem with injured little toes it is easy to tap them on something which doesn't help them heal. At least you didn't break it.
-
Even though it was a bit nippy out I had a beautiful autumn golden walk today.
-
DR Jennifer a friend of a friend wrote a book and dedicated to the grandfather of my friend's dog. It is only $2.99. I would buy it if B&N had it.
I'm pretty sure this is the author's first book but it looks like a quick one you would enjoy (http://www.amazon.com/Undercover-Matchmaker-Pearl-Romantic-Mystery-ebook/dp/B00GDPS4IG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&tag=libraryextension-20&camp=211189&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00GDPS4IG)

I seem to be all alone. I need to get moving and away from the computer. When I'm here I want to munch and I need to stop eating chocolate and sugar as my glucose is too high.

DR Ryacko, many vibes for your brother.
-
ChasSmith, I had to think of you tonight. During our fifth barbecue meal of the day, we had something so divine that you would have loved every morsel: Pimento Cheese Croquettes. Deep-fried balls of melted cheese with pimento in them and a smoky dipping sauce. On the side was a grilled romaine lettuce heart.
-
After a day of eating brisket, it was most welcome.
-
Good evening. Another day up and out the door before sunrise.
-
More vibes for DR ryacko's brother!

Just a few images from a long day.
-
Now, off to write.
-
Good evening, sorry I've been E and T. I unfortunately found a great game called Word Battle on FB. You get letters and go up against the clock and 3 other people. This has once again validated my nerdiness
-
Been busy at work and am still anxious about the ads coming out. I've made a number of corrections to the web ad and the vignettes for the JFK show next Thursday night. I saw corrections today that had new mistakes, sheesh! So I'm waiting for the final product. Still haven't seen the 15 and 30 second commercials. Hoping they are good.....
-
Don't really have anything else to say right now, other than I am very glad it's Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow
-
Though it started out as very cold this morning, it turned out to be a very nice fall day here in the DC area.
The last days of autumn before the dreary days of winter feels like a special gift.
-
And I am very happy Sebastian raked all my leaves yesterday. He was worth every penny. There are still a few falling and a bunch the [insert your favorite expletive] yard guys for my neighbor left in the street lining my yard, so one big wind gust and they will be all over my yard. I was very angry earlier, but decided it isn't going to help anything. If my shoulder doesn't hurt, I'll just deal with them tomorrow

I have never had this. I'm not sure I should tell Keith about it as I'm sure he will want some.
-
I think winter is bright and sparkly with the sun glistening off the snow and ice.....but maybe that's just me :)
-
I live in Iowa (where the tall corn grows) and I've never had it either DR Jane
-
LOL Cilla.

I like my corn sweet enough not to need anything on it.

I had corn for dinner, but it wasn't on the cob

Internet connection in this hotel is really spotty.

So, I'll say good night, all.
But first ...

Ah. Or you could just subscribe to Netflix. I will NEVER catch up.

Don't know if I mentioned it here, but yesterday a couple we helped with a fiancé visa and an adjustment of status stopped in to surprise us with chocolate cupcakes to help celebrate their wedding anniversary. The husband was one of those people who stopped in all the time all sad and depressed. He was nearly in (happy) tears yesterday and said thanks in a very heartfelt way, especially to Edith who talked to him every time he came in. The wife is from the Philippines and I was relieved to hear her whole family is in Manila and they are all ok.
-
I just gave my friend Sharry a copy of Sandy's Christmas CD
Page Six!
-
There was a wonderful classical music radio station in DC some years ago, WGMS. DR Jose recalls it, I'm sure, and DR Kevin may, too. I was introduced to much wonderful music there. Sadly, it is no longer.
-
It was especially nice to hear how happy they are together. They met online and in person a few times. You never know how it's going to be when you're suddenly together 24/7, but it's working for them. I'm so glad

I gave Sandy's Christmas CD as a gift last year.

I love it when they bring food....usually tamales around Christmas. Oh and one brings a cake on my birthday. It's extremely rewarding. A year ago I would have had to give it up if I had gotten the job as a judge. I'm so glad I didn't get it. I have no intention of leaving it now.

My attitude is if it's supposed to happen it will happen. I had to do a lot of thinking about what I'd give up if I got the other job last year and when I didn't get it, my commitment to my own business grew a lot stronger. I have to say I'm very happy with my life and I'm very thankful for that

And goodnight to you both.

That's a great story, Cillaliz!

Tonight, I worked concessions for a college production of "A Servant of Two Masters." The only thing that I sold during the pre-show was one roll of Mentos. Otherwise, I myself bought a double-chocolate cookie and some cashews. :-\ At intermission, no one even left the theater! I had no other sales at all. Oh, well.

Right now, the 1998 London production of Oklahoma! with Hugh Jackman is on PBS, right now. I have the region 2 DVD from England, but I'm watching it anyway.

I forgot that Hunky Hugh was shirtless in one scene. ;)

On my way home from the show tonight, my car rolled over 150000 miles!

Been back for an hour and on the phone ever since - there has, without going into detail (that's for later) been a lot of turmoil at the theater, mostly stemming from how the artistic director has been dealing with me and the show for the last two days. I don't respond well to certain kinds of things, and unfortunately that's what's been happening and it pretty much came to a head tonight and I came close to pulling the show. But she and I had a lengthy conversation just now, I told her what was not working in her approach and she apologized and said she'd try to do things in the way I need to have them done. My two cast members have also been unhappy because they've felt very negative vibes - hopefully that will now all change. I can't worry about anything other than now trying to get my cast where they need to be. Some of the show is working spectacularly well and some of the performances need a bit of work.

Good luck, BK! Hope it all works out!
