Well, you've read the notes, the notes were all about the final day of November, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - apparently they won't be home on the final day of November.
-
And the word of the day is: WIGHT!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Good morning, all.
Hope everyone is warm and inside. I have to leave soon and am not really looking forward to it, except the food will be excellent.

BK - re the notes, is there a business tie between Lucasfilm and Debbie Reynolds in the auction world because of Carrie Fisher? Or just a fluke that the same company handles Debbie Reynolds and Lucasfilm?
-
Good morning, all.
Slept pretty decently, and the day is mine -- all mine. Which I greatly appreciate.
This evening I'm attending the closing night performance of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE. I look forward to seeing my friends in the cast again (three of the four were especially good) and to finding out how Ethel Tofflemeir progressed (or not) on the piano in these intervening weeks.
More coffee, methinks.

Good morning, all! Another poor night of sleep, and I wanted to sleep in but I've got errands to run and a visit with DJ, my cohort in crime on CHRISTMAS UP THE HOLLER. I haven't seen him since much earlier this year, so it will be fun to catch up.
As soon as I finish this coffee, I'm heading out to accomplish a few things. The bed is made and for the first time since July, my floor isn't littered with books and music. I need to clear ff my work table, and I'll do that when I get back.
-
I'm in the process of writing a new Hollywood-based play, and as part of my research, I watched an old "B" western yesterday because one of the people I'm writing about is in the cast.
As far as I'm concerned, PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE has lost its status as the worst movie ever made. That honor now goes to TRAIN TO TOMBSTONE. Writing, directing, acting, editing: I have never seen a sloppier, more inept movie in my life.
:P

Saturday morning greetings! Richard and I just finished washing the last of the Thanksgiving dishes and I got all of the glassware put away. Now it's time to deck this house in maize and blue for today's Michigan/Ohio State game. I'm afraid it's gonna be a bloodbath.
-
Good morning. My project for today is making soup.

My bank is open until noon today. The check is deposited. Thank you, Jesus!
Now I have to hit the market.
-
Errands run. I won $53 on 4-5 lottery tickets, and I have supplies in the house. DJ should be here after noon, and I may take him to the Cafe 82 for lunch on my winnings.
The street now smells of pine: the Christmas tree vendors are set up on the corner by the market spit's beginning to look a lot like a certain holiday.

Laura, I think you might have a vegetarian or a vegan on your hands!
-
Larry, glad to know your bank was open, that you were able to tidy up a bit and that you won $53!!! That's what keeps people playing the lottery, those small wins that buy lunch and supplies.
-
I need more coffee as well.
-
Bye for now.

Have you ever taken a look at the dirt some of those vegetables come out of?? :)

FJL, perhaps Carrie made the suggestion, but who knows.

I'm up, she of the Evil Eye is here, and I'll be jogging shortly.

And the word of the day is: WIGHT!
And The Song Of The Day Is: GOD BLESS THE CHILD
-
Glad everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! Mine was pretty swell, also.
-
I went out on Black Friday for a few hours.
Since I lived downtown, that is where I ventured. First stop was Rite-Aid to pick up a prescription, then to the T-Mobile store to buy a new phone (which I must now train myself on), then to India Palace for lunch, over to the antique mall.
I then wandered through J.C. Penney's a bit just to look around, but didn't seen anything that I needed; Kohl's also, but the lines at the registers were so long I decided that even if I found something to buy, I would not want to wait in those lines. So I left. Checked out Macy's and tried on a few shirts. Then walked back home and took a nap.

By the way, actress Jane Kean passed away the other day. Some might remember her on the color episodes of THE JACKIE GLEASON SHOW.
I met her years ago at one of the Hollywood Celebrity shows in Burbank. We had a nice chat about her sister Betty Kean, who I was a big fan of. Betty was a comedic actress who worked in a lot of Universal films of the 1940s, including MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM...one of my favorite films!

I saw Jane Kean onstage is this 2002 concert production of 70 GIRLS 70 at the El Portal.

I believe she's the voice of Belle and sings "Winter Was Warm" in Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol.

I will meet DJ in 30 minutes at Cafe 82 for lunch. Excellent!

Good morning/afternoon
-
Went to a friends yesterday for Thanksgiving #2, it was a lot of fun. Ended up at Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a Keurig coffee maker for my apartment on the way home.
-
Came home, watched some TV and did some work on the computer.
-
Miss Kean was also the star of Ankles Aweigh, which is the one show my mother saw on Broadway.
-
Today, some more work at home (First Sunday of Advent this weekend!), then off to church. Then I'm seeing a local production of 110 in the Shade this evening. Looking forward to that.
-
Stopped at a Half-Price Books on my way home this morning. Found a Victor Herbert bio (I think it's the one you didn't care for Larry), plus a few CDs. One is a Kenward Elmslie musical called Postcards on Parade, the other is a Kurt Weill set with two symphonies plus a bunch of John McGlinn recordings tacked on to it and last, a Cole Porter/Rodgers and Hart CD with some fairly obscure stuff like You Irritate Me So and A Tree in the Park.
-
Also found a Liz Callaway Christmas EP online. Didn't do my homework. One of the cuts is her Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas from BK's A Broadway Christmas album.

Lotta unanswered questions here, but I'm happy there's been a break in the case.
-
Am I credited on the CD, pray tell - or does she think the cut produced itself? And is Lanny Meyers credited?
-
And i am home from a deelighful lunch with DJ.

Back from a three-mile jog, some scrambled eggs and an English muffin, banking, and picking up no packages.

If it's the Neal Gould bio, it's a mess. Miles Kreuger was asked to write a blurb and turned it down.It has some good info, but so much off-the-wall misinformation.

It was purchased as a download. There was really no info with it, except a credit to Ann and to Nicholas Callway Foster.

No. that was Adam Aceto.

I read this story yesterday and it made me really teary. I just love this woman.
She only started writing 2 years ago, never really intending for anyone to read her books. And now she is one of the #1 authors in the New Adult genre. And her books are amazing. I've read all 6 of her books. And I think I gave 5 of them 5 stars. I only gave maybe 6 other books 5 stars this year (out of 108 I've read this year).
What a lovely story. I am so happy for her.

Reading the article it seems difficult to believe they have the guilty person. It is so very sad. I don't even know if they have leads on our local young man who was brutily murdered shortly after Vixter's friend. Does she know the suspect?

I'm finishing up the horrific 6-part BBC series THE FADES tonight. Episode 4 was really good, with one of the funniest conclusions to a resurrection ever. Our teen hero, who was hit by a truck at the end of episode 3, spent episode 4 as a spirit while his body lay brain dead; at the end of the episode, the angelics brought him back to life and he was not happy about it. Two episodes to go. I cannot believe the BBC didn't renew this thing. It's good. Gross and often disgusting, but really good.
-
I'm very sleepy. I hope I can last for two more hours.
-
After being so very good and reducing my sugar and fat intake I kind of blew it on Thanksgiving. OK, not too bad as it is only one day but then the exhibit was next to this bakery I like and I ate some of the bread and muffin I purchased. Still not bad as the rest of the bread went into the freezer once we returned home.
But then in the mailbox was a surprise gift of goodies from
Glaser bakery (http://www.glasersbakeshop.com/specials.html) in New York.
OMG was it good. Unfortunately I have eaten almost all of it since yesterday early evening. This morning I was up 4 pounds and dread what tomorrow morning will bring.
-
I doubt I'll last to page 4!

PACKING AND MOVING VIBES FOR DR SAM!!!

Sleep well tonight DR elmore!

I guess DR TCB was too tired for a report on the show.
-
Not a lot of posting today. Maybe everyone is decorating or shopping.
-
You are back. When do you leave for the theater?
-
I guess DR TCB was too tired for a report on the show.
Let's jsut say that last night was the worst nightmare in my 57 years of acting. i went up on my lines, not once, but twice. That has never happened before. The show was good. I sucked. Maybe it is time to hang it up.
-
Oh, I was hoping you just were tired and didn't say anything because it didn't go well. Try not to think of that tonight (you do have a show tonight-right?)
-
Had a very good stumble-through with only a couple of stumbles, lyrics-wise, but some piano issues we had to fix - tempos and feels - but all should be in order now. Hadley Miller's dad brought cranberry pot roast, corn and string bean pudding, and pie. Everyone feasted but for a couple of us - we went to Hugo's where I had pasta papa, which was smaller than usual, a good thing. When I got home, I sampled about an ounce of the pot roast - great - and the corn and string bean pudding thing, which was beyond great. I'll have a sliver of the chocolate mousse pie now.
-
I sat on my couch like so much fish and promptly went out like a light for about forty-five minutes.
-
Hi just stopped in to say good night - I am sorry but this was not a good day for us and i am not in posting frame of mind
see you tomorrow vibes for all

MEGA SHOW VIBES FOR DR TCB!!!!
-
Sorry DR Vixmom. Hugs and vibes!!!

It was a lovely run-through at BK's today with some wonderful voices and festive music and fun!
Tomorrow's show will be a joy!!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! :D
-
It sounds like you are DR ryacko :)
-
Just finished THE FADES, which reminded me a bit of Stephen King's THE STAND. There was a lot of angels & demons angst, but it was also a good zombie series. I guess when the production team learned the BBC wasn't renewing, they gave the series a nice, bleak resolution.
What to watch tomorrow?
-

Don't you dare give up, you old fart! Your performance will be better tonight, and you'll be back in fine fettle. Is this your first role in a wheelchair? I'm wondering if this might have something to so with it.

Page four? Really? Not very sporting.

I watched one motion picture and am too tired to watch another.

Ironically, after the post about Liz's CD, I heard from Liz - I wonder if someone mentioned the post to her? She's sending it to me.

Good late evening, all. VIBES to all who needs 'em. Hope tomorrow is better for the Vixfamily. And TCB, whose lines will no doubt be spot on. And DR Jane, who we all hope will not weigh in at 400 pounds tomorrow. And all the rest of yez.

I read this about as soon as I turned on my computer to check my e-mail. I didn't know that he had a 15 year old daughter. :(
-
TCB, it's happened to every performer. It's happened to 99% of the wonderful and extremely professional singers who do the Kritzerland shows. They don't suck - and neither do you!
-
I think a good bitch-slapping is in order for the errant and truant, don't you? I'm not even posting the new topic until we have a few more posts in this one.
-
I've seen TCB in a few shows and he's a very good actor. I can't wait to see "It's a Wonderful Life"! ;D
-
110 in the Shade is quite the great show. Very simple and cute with a great score. Glad I took the time to see it. My best friend played Noah, he was quite scary!
-
I love the score...I've never seen the show, only "The Rainmaker" put on by a local theater group. It was a very good production.
-
Right now, I'm watching the first episode of "Atlantis." You REALLY have to suspend disbelief with this one.
;)
-
But so far, it's fun, in a totally anachronistic way...as a lot of shows can be.
-
I can't find my Blu-ray to "Shrek on Broadway." I have the cardboard sleeve, but I don't know what I did with the actual case and disc. :P
-
I was thinking about recording the Macy's Parade show performances (both the NBC and CBS broadcasts) to my DVD burner, but I am burning a DVD of the last four "Glee" episodes, so my DVD burner is in use.
-
Doesn't that just thrill ya?
;)
-
"Atlantis" plays fast and very loose with the Greek and Roman myths.
