we will watch a Maggie Smith movie from 2009
From Time to Time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_Time_to_Time_%28film%29)
We read the entire series of books, not just the one on which it was based (The Chimneys of Green Knowe) and we're looking forward to watching the movie.
I watched MRS HENDERSON PRESENTS last night.....it always makes me laugh, although it's not Dame Judi's shining hour....she is amusing.
Director: Betty will be here, and I want you two girls to flank her.
Dancer: What?! You want us to what??!!
Director: I want you stand on either side of her.
Dancer: Oh....oh well all right, we can do that.....
Potluck? I'll bring the Christmas Candle Salad.

My cousins came down to see the final show and then we went to dinner with my sister and brother-in-law. I forgot to take my copy of the J. A Jance with me for her to sign. She said if I get it to her after I have finished reading it; she will get J. A. to sign it, also.
DR Jane your baking soda solution really seemed to help a lot. So thanks.
That cherry and banana mold photo just made me heave.
DR JANE - Bryan certainly gave that man a great gift!!!

I just love helping my fellow DRs to celebrate the holidays. :)

I got up at 6:30 this morning so we could call Bryan and wish him a happy birthday before he went to sleep. He has been working night shifts. We couldn't get through on his phone and kept getting a message "We could not complete your call please try again”. Fortunately a text went through and he called us back. They had gone out for a birthday breakfast. While talking he was enjoying a special beer before bed. It seemed funny for him to be drinking while I haven't even had breakfast, even if it was closer to lunch there.
Oh, he was able to save a life last night after working on a heart for over an hour. It took seven zaps to get the guy going again.
That looks positively obscene!
And the word of the day is: EUPEPTIC!
And Today Is Errant And Truant Son's Birthday...So Let's Give A Shout Out To CRAIG BROCKMAN Who Is One Year Older Today.

Happy Birthday to Bryan and great news on the life saving!
Well when I woke up this morning, I read on BookFace that my nephew Lance and his girlfriend Tracie were now ENGAGED.
Then I got a phone call from my sister to tell me that they are going to be married on Christmas Day! So we have a wedding coming up....
I am okay with this I think.....details forthcoming.....but....well....I'm just not on board yet....but I have a whole day to think about it.
There is a big age difference in that Tracie has at least one child that is the same age as Lance.....
Happy Christmas Eve Eve, everyone!

Hoping everyone is getting to that point in the holiday prep where it's fun again. :D And relaxing...
Hoping to make your Do tomorrow night, BK. Looks like I should be able to now.
My last gift left Indianapolis at midnight last night....so I am hoping it arrives in the mail tomorrow.
Remember the plumber and the leak several weeks ago? Well, I've just discovered that there is a huge leak and the bottom of my sink is flooding. This would be discovered a day before Christmas and while I would rather be sick in bed, Goddam it. What did that idiot do?
My wonderful super has just shown up to investigate the mess. When the plumber installed the new plumbing, he clearly forgot to finish it.
Tonight is the finale of the SING OFF which I may watch.....I like a couple of the groups on the show....
Good morning, all.
In Oaxaca, Mexico, this evening is known as Noche de los Rabanos, or Night of the Radishes. How will you be celebrating?
Happy Christmas Eve Eve.to one and all.

TOD:
I'd love a few things that money can't buy: A cure for my diabetes, a month with great sleep each night, the end of this book even close to deadline, a clean house (well, money could probably buy the latter) ...
My super and his son-in-law arrived, moped up the mess under the sink, and determined the leak is coming from the cold water fixture under the sink. It's been leaking for three weeks. The new sink was installed on Dec. 2.
A plumber will be called in the morning and will hopefully repair the mess tomorrow. Otherwise I have no cold water for three days.

I would settle for a quality reason for not getting a great night's sleep.

I have a friend who went to the radish festival there once. I do have radishes in the fridge....guess I'll eat some

Seriously? Sounds like a washer may fix it or a new part. I suppose with all the codes etc, they probably can't just fix it without a plumber. Will you have hot water? You can always pour hot water and let it cool :)
Oh, and the paramedics began the process of saving the guys life. This is what Rob does too :)

Yes, thank you for mentioning that.
Well, I need to leave work and brave the parking lot and aisles of Costco. I was just going to get some diet Pepsi, but my friend Margo called and asked if I could look for some Mr. Clean White Erasers. I said sure. I have a couple of DVDs that I need to get to her anyway, so I won't have to make a separate trip for that.
One of the DVDs is "The Sound of Music," which today I FINALLY mailed to John, Ginny and Vixmom...sorry about the delay. Let me know when/if you get them!

Many thanks, kind sir.

I'm having a German take on it. Pumpernickel, butter, Swiss cheese and salted radishes.
My beard doesn't look as nice as the one DR TCB grew on his face - but I will post a photo next week to indicate the progress I am making.

Mine will hopefully be gone tomorrow.
I have, once again, driven the throngs from the site.
I'm here.....it's 9 below zero air temp....-17 wind chill Where else would I be?
Skinny dipping in an indoor heated pool maybe
Now way, Ray. I've watched people do that. You wouldn't get me to do that Besides the lakes are all VERY frozen
Let's see - I made the tuna pasta salad - a double portion, which I've never done before and probably will never do again - all ingredients doubled, but the thing I put it into isn't doubled and it's VERY difficult mixing it all up in there with two pounds of noodles instead of one. I think I finally got it pretty mixed. And now begins the slicing and dicing, which will probably take two hours.
I don't thin I ever saw it.
Well I am completely satisfied with the winner of THE SING OFF - although my favorite group was sent packing last week. I like NOT having votes from the home viewers.....the judges are really good, so they know what they are talking about.
My favorite parts of the show were the 98 Degrees reunion and Jewel singing with Nick Lachey.....oh and Pat Benetar.

Why would you brave Costco just for those two products? Don't you have other supermarkets in your town?
George, you are much more organized than me. I doubt I'd have the time to get to a post office for another couple of weeks.
