Well, you've read the notes, the notes welcomed 2014 with open arms, and now it is time for you to post until the 2014 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BOUNTIFUL!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!! ;D
-
That's what I'M talkin' about.
-
In bed now and ready to sleep.
-
I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open. I'm off to bed, too.
Good night, all!
-
New Year's Day greetings! We're home for the day, watching the Rose a Parade and college bowl games. Rob and Mary Linda will be here to cheer on the Michigan State Spartans in the Rose Bowl. In a little while I'll start chili in the crockpot and prepare a veggie tray.
-
Happy New Year. i can't believe I fell asleep during Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper's show.
-
Kathy Griffin had an interesting moment during Macklemore and Ryan's segment, where you could tell her mind was working on a joke, but then Macklemore got so wonderfully and touchingly sincere that Kathy Griffin had to NOT make a joke and you could see her suppressing a joke. (I think.)
-
Anyway, it's a post. :)
-
Good morning, all! Around 11:30, I decided that - much as I loved Coper and Griffin - I was ready for bed. I must has passed out quickly because I heard nothing after that. No fireworks, no yelling, nada. It was quite nice. I had to get up around 2:30, and some ass on the street could be heard yelling two and a half hours after the event. Isn't there a circle of hell in Dante for jerks like that?
Today, Trumpet 4 is waiting on my attendance. I must be finished by next Tuesday morning, and God alone knows what fresh hell awaits me before then.
-
So, Happy New Year, everyone! May 2014 be kind to you and to those you love.
-
Happy New Year, everybody!
-
Happy Birthday to my dear wife, Sandy!
(She was 10-11 before she realized that all the fireworks on her birthday were not for her.)
::)
-
Good morning, all.
And a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. May this one be the year we all need! :)
-
And a Happy New Year's Birthday to DR Druxy's DW Sandy!
-
Coffee!!
Let's get this New Year rolling.
-
Happy 2014, Everybody!
-
Happy New Year!
-
Happy birthday to Druxy's wife Sandy!
-
Happy Birthday to Sandy!!!
-
I was dead tired yesterday, so didn't post nearly as much as I would have liked last night.
Glad we got to 15 pages, but I checked back and on last NYE we hit 25!
However, as low keyed as it seemed, the result was second only to last year's, and there are only two days with higher counts than that. (First prize goes to last year's Oscar night!) So, the way it looks when I sort on number of replies, though it was a quiet one, we still made fourth place!
(Am I doing that right?)
-
Well I was watching an HBO series I had never heard of.....EASTBOUND & DOWN....and fell asleep about 10 p.m.
So much for New Year's Eve!
-
Happy New Year. It's January 1, 2014, what are you waiting for?
-
I enjoyed the photos from DR VIXMOM and all the posts from DR CILLA LIZ....and the linked in comment that MR BK sent....and all of the New Year's Eve posts!
Congratulations to HHW!!!

Did that, but one of those things kept un-trashing and re-enabling itself, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome. All is well!!

Happy New Year!!!

thank you for the kind words about our photos

Happy Birthday to Mrs Druxy

HAP-HAP HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDY
-
Happy Sandy-day!
-
It's a cold but beautiful sunny and clear winter day here. Too bad it's about to be followed by two days of a freezing white HELL.
-
Happy Birthday to Sandy!
-
Happy New Year!!
-
My sister mailed a Christmas present to my parents on December 10. They got it yesterday! At least they got it.
-
Happy Birthday to Sandy!
-
When I grew up there were never fireworks on New Years Eve locally. Now I live across the river from a state where the fireworks are legal on New Years. I think I liked it better without them. The booms really bothered the cats
-
Today I'm going to make a roast beef, haven't decided if I'll do it with rice or potatoes and carrots, but I love a good pot roast and decided it's a good way to stat 2014
-
I may venture out to the movie. I haven't seen Saving Mr. Banks yet and really want to
-
Chili's simmering in the crockpot and we're watching the Rose Parade on HGTV. Looks like a beautiful day in Pasadena!
-
Happy New Year's Day, all.
Happy birthday to DR Druxy's Sandy.
-
Great photos, Vixmom. I think I forgot to mention that last night.
-
Ah yes DR CHAS SMITH - at least that worked!
DR CILLA LIZ - I think it would be a good day to see SAVING MR BANKS.
-
Ah yes DR CHAS SMITH - at least that worked!
DR CILLA LIZ - I think it would be a good day to see SAVING MR BANKS.
I'm thinking about it. It's very cold outside. It would also be a good day for a nap
-
Happy Birthday to my dear wife, Sandy!
(She was 10-11 before she realized that all the fireworks on her birthday were not for her.)
::)
I have a friend with a July 4 birthday who said the same thing.
-
Happy New Year to us all. May 2014 be a great year for all of us!
-
And Happy Birthday to Mrs. D.!
-
One more chart finished. About six or seven to go!
-
One more chart finished. About six or seven to go!
And then on to Trumpet 5! :D
-
(Wait. Ohmygod. Did somebody over there forget to tell DR Elmore about Trumpet 5???)
-
I watched a little bit of the Rose Parade, then flipped through some channels till I came upon a marathon of the AERIAL AMERICA series on Smithsonian. I vaguely remember discovering this some time ago, but had forgotten about it. For my taste it's great, with incredible close, medium, and long distance aerial views of, literally, everything, and a decent enough narration of history and what not. Better than a coffee table book! I'll be returning to this through the day.
-
Good morning, 2014!
or
Good afternoon, 2014!
-
And the word of the day is: BOUNTIFUL!
I took a trip there, one time.
-
Happy New Year to everyone at HHW!
-
Oh my gosh is it freezing today!
-
Happy Birthday to DR Druxy's DW, Sandy!

And the word of the day is: BOUNTIFUL!

Is that the woman in MAN OF LA MANCHA?

Three!

T.O.D.
Ask BK Day
Do you have the new venue picked yet for the PURE IMAGINATION show?
-
Exit Musc and Bows are left! Almost finished.
-
I'm up, I'm up - over ten hours of blessed sleep - must have been the champagne.
-
The new venue for the show is right next door, the theater complex's larger space.
-
As soon as I de-groggify I shall begin writing.
-
It's sixty-three degrees in the house, and the heat is on but it's too late to go back to bed until it's warmed up.
-
Finishing vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Start-of-book vibes for BK.
-

I'll try and watch for that. I'm going to my parents' house in a little bit, so I'll watch it after I get back.
-
Happy Birthday to my dear wife, Sandy!
(She was 10-11 before she realized that all the fireworks on her birthday were not for her.)

And now, I'm off.
Have a good day, all!

She ends up saying something almost sincere, like these guys are real and don't lip-sync like other acts, She HAD to adjust to the very positive sentiment.
(I think Macklemore and Ryan are straight, yet did a gay love song that had a tremendous impact.)

Would you have imagined that on New Years 2013? Yay, TCB!
-
I opted for a nap and an early roast beef, potatoes and carrots dinner
-
CONGRATS TO TCB!!!! Welcome back to the theater!
-
We heard fireworks last night and could see them from our window. :)
The show lasted at least 10 minutes. We have no idea who set them off.
-
I've written the first four pages of a new book, and will now have some food. I'm sure I'll write at least another two or three pages, which is good for the start of a new book. While I would probably write more pages if it was a Hofstetter book, this is all new turf for me so it's much slower going, especially at the beginning, where I have to get the opening chapter just right.
-
DR TCB, how fantastic! I'm very happy for you.

I am going to try and make individual beef pies with the little babycakes pie maker the Vixter gave me for Christmas
-
I made a large breakfast - sausages, fried ham, bacon, broiled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms and poached eggs and whole wheat toast for Vixdad and me then I unfortunately dozed off and slept away almost the whole day
-
I am looking for a meat pie recipe to try in my new little pie pans.
-
I want vixmom's breakfast!
-
Wow! That is great, TCB! Congratulations! Damn! Where did I put that feather?

After each team's first possession in the Rose Bowl, we served up chili, veggies, ranch dip, salsa, and chips. Michigan State is only trailing by 3 at halftime, so - Go, Green!

Hello, everyone.
Happy New Year's Day to all.
-
I spent a couple hours getting organized for the new year. I like things tidy, but got a bit behind. Don't like that. I'll do an hour or two at a time until things are organized again.
-
Bruce, it sounds like you got a great start on the new book.

Would you have imagined that on New Years 2013? Yay, TCB!
Fred, Wayne Dyer says something like, "We don't know enough to be pessimistic." I agree. Any day, we could meet someone new who could (1)become a new love interest (ignore this one, as I know you're taken), (2) offer a lead on a new job or career, (3)offer a lead on any of the challenges we face or the goals we've set. Of course, it doesn't even need to be a newcomer; it could be someone already in our lives who has new information for us. I happen to like the idea of the newcomer--it's more dramatic. There are just so many possibilities that aren't on our radar, that we have no way to even fathom.
I don't mean to take any attention away from TCB's well-deserved glory--I just wanted to elaborate on the point Fred made last night.
-
Patina Miller did quite a beautiful vocal pefromance on the swearing-in of Mayor de Blasio today.
-
Who gives a flying Wallenda about Jessie 21's citations?
-
Jeanne - Very interesting quote and ideas. Thanks for that.
-
Went and had a cup of chicken corn chowder and then a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich and no fries or onion rings and came right back home and wrote another page-and-a half. I'll take a break now and then write at least another page and a half before the evening ends.
-
Is much open today? I would have thought most eateries are closed.
-
Jeanne - Has anyone pointed out that you're 22 posts away from a doozy of a milestone?
-
Congratulations to DR TCB!
-
Richard Sherman called and he'll be coming over tomorrow afternoon after rehearsal to work on our song. He read me some fixes he made, all of which were things I was about to suggest to him, so we're definitely on the same wavelength. It's really fun and better now, and when he comes I'll make my final little suggestion and that will be that.
-

Laura, how is Catch Phrase played? I know the term, but not the game.

Good on TCB!
-
Watching a motion picture and will be done with that in forty-five minutes, after which perhaps another page or two of writing.
-
Thanks everyone. Sorry for bragging, but I had to tell someone. My sister and her husband had already left to go drinking, so there was no point in telling them. And no one else seemed to be around.
-

It's not bragging when its the truth! I am sure we are all very pleased for you

The Vixter is off to Florida so we must be up at 3 to get to the airport by 5 so she can check in

Ginny! Congratulations on Michigan State.
I'm very happy for them and for all the MSU alums I know and love - especially Mary Linda's parents.
-
The vixter is going to Florida?? Is this to see "the boyfriend?"
-
Hmmmm. Anyone make any resolutions?
-
Finished with my viewing, and now I'm relaxing - may take a nice hot shower then try to write some more.
-
Hmmmm. Anyone make any resolutions?
I have resolved to read my magazines as they arrive in the mail rather than letting them pile up for several months and become outdated.

Oh, and from THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR.
-
Well, I guess I had better say good night.
-
G'night!
-
g'night
-
I was trying to figure out who James Avery played on THE CLOSER. Looks like he was one of the medical examiners. I didn't remember him playing that part
-
Wrote a few more pages - a total of eight, which is incredible for the first day on a completely new book that is completely different than every other I've written. Have no idea if it's good or not, but it's fun to write.
-
Just added Mickey Dolenz to our benefit cast. I'll talk to him in the morning and settle on his number.

The only other time I've collaborated on a song is with David Wechter - two of the Brain songs had partial music by him and in those two songs a handful of lyric lines were by him.

And I just read that Juanita Moore (http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/entertainment/20140101/US-Obit-Juanita.Moore/) died. She was "an Academy Award nominee for her role as Lana Turner's black friend in the classic weeper 'Imitation of Life'."

Have written another half page, so almost nine pages. It's all set up at this point, and introducing the major characters and trying to keep all that interesting and fun.
