Well, you've read the notes, the notes were working, and now it is time for you to post until the working cows come home.

Ask Bk

I've been reading up on what a "tipped in limitation sheet" is to understand what it is exactly (You might have explained it earlier but I am still catching up on postings)

Will the limited edition be a separate run  (bound in one) or will the autograph page be glued to a blank page?

Good morning, all.

Very nice news this morning -- about the album, about the next show, about Li'l Abner (except for still needing the damned lead), and it's always wonderful to hear about a visit with Robert A. Harris, whatever the occasion or the project.  I don't even have to ask -- indeed I wouldn't ask, and BK wouldn't tell -- it's just all good.

My, that was a long opening paragraph.  Coffee!

Good morning, all.

Suffered a bad allergy attack yesterday. Took a Benedryl, went to bed early, then got up in the middle of the night and had to take another Benedryl. Ugh.

Things are a little better today. I can at least open my eyes, for the most part.

I did finish our dance last night.....so we have about seven weeks to make it work....Sharon is going to the Bahamas for 10 days, so we won't get together again until a week from next Tuesday....which is fine.

Several other pairs don't even have their dances done yet, and at least one hasn't even met for a session as yet.....

My question for ASK BK DAY:

Do you have a favorite classic country singer?

Do you have a favorite contemporary country singer?

Good morning, all! This morning, I could not drag myself out of bed. Around 8:30, i called therapy and changed my appointment to 11:15, and went back to bed till 9:00. Hump day indeed!  So, I'll make the bed and head out in around 30 minutes.

I got an irritating email from the Man from Philadelphia this morning about communicating with the inhumane foundation i worked for from 2001-2011. No matter how often I tell the Man from Philadelphia about the frustrations and reasons that give me no desire to communicate with the organization, he clearly refuses to hear. It's working my last nerve. On a happier note, the mix pf all overdubs for ROBERTA sounds great.

Best of luck with the Abner search, BK! I love the reports.

Just a quick drop in to let everyone know that The Lovely Wife(tm) was successfully delivered of a baby boy yesterday afternoon. The latest addition came in at 8lb. 7 oz., took one look at his father, and immediately demanded to go back.

Much scrambling yesterday, dealing with the ACX deadline.

This audio book publisher (owned by Amazon) announced that they are reducing their royalties.  If you wanted your book to be eligible for the old higher royalties, contracts had to be signed by midnight last night.

Normally, the time change does not affect me much, but this time around it sure seems to be messing up my brain. I feel like I have been in a brain fog all week. Just yesterday, I drove clear across town for my dental appointment which turned out to be today.

If I may, I will answer DR Jrand's question of the day:

Glenn Campbell
Lynn Anderson

I have no current favorite country singers as I haven't really listened to much country music since the early 80s.

DR ChasSmith, the restaurant I was talking about last night is, indeed, Rookwood.  It's now The Rookwood (http://therookwood.com) and the menu seems a little more la-dee-da than when you could get an Erkenbreckerburger.

After 2 glorious spring-like days, we are back to blustery, wintery weather.  It snowed pretty hard and now we're having flurries.  It's not supposed to last long, but I did have to close the sunroof on my car for this morning's errands.

Thank you for that.  I couldn't remember exactly where it was located, and I'm a little sorry it's changed.  The times I was taken there would have been in the 1980s on visits from L.A.  I remember the look and feel of the place, and I remember liking the burgers.  And now I remember my mom and dad explaining the Erkenbreckerburger!

The piano recital last night (by Valentina Lisitsa, a Ukranian) was wonderful. They had erected a large screen with two cameras covering the keyboard, so that all in the Ordway (which seats 2,206) could see her hands, which was a welcome addition.

Miss Crystal Gayle - sister of Loretta Lynn - singing a nice song and wearing a stage costume that gives a nod to their Native American heritage.

I hate to think what the howling and Idina Menzel-American Idol crowd would do to this song today.

The phone call with the Man from Philadelphia lasted 90 minutes, and he had some good advice about the other institute and my problems with them.

My therapist today suggested that my HMO refer me to a neurologist for a nerve conduction test, and I've sent my doctor a request for that referral. We do what we can.

The US Post Office tracking site tells me: March 7, 2014 Electronic Shipping Info Received

And there is where it ends; where the fat hell is this shipment?

Oy.  Hope DR Elmore's package turns up somewhere soon.

I HATE this new system of shipping by one carrier who hands it off to another for delivery.  Talk about asking for trouble.  It's causing problems for a lot of people, and what really galls is that they can't even implement a tracking system that works.  On half the shipments like this I've had, the tracking would be there in some half-arsed way like it is for DR Elmore, and would NEVER get completed, even after I got the item.  It just beggars understanding, all of it.

DR Jennifer, 10 minutes after I began reading a new book, and 12 minutes after checking that my library didn't have anything available that I wanted to read, I received a notice that FEAR NOTHING was available to check out.  Within those 12 minutes 3 people had apparently returned their copies.

I'm guessing it will be a few days before I can begin reading it.

Back from a little meeting about one of our AAUW philanthropies.  It's fun to give money away!

I don't suppose you give money to 501(c)(3) registered non-profit theater groups in Washington state, do you?? ::)

Nope, DR George, sorry.  This batch is for 6th or 7th grade girls who want to attend science camp at Denison University this summer.

Well, I must be leaving work.  I think I'm getting a cold and I don't want to. :P I'm going to get some stuff that will hopefully stop or at least minimize the symptoms, and then take a nap when I get home.

Be back later!

It really is a nice peaceful way to end a Wednesday night

We used to have suppers before Lenten services. They were nice, coming from work before the service.

But tonight we had less than 30 there for the service. Sad.

I only expected to see about 25 or 30 midweek is often hard as so many members work in  city and often are not home until later - I was pleasantly surprised to see  nearly 50 showed up

I finished it a few days ago. It was good. But super creepy. Did you read the blurb about it?  Lisa Gardner is the Queen of creepy topics!

I'm off tomorrow to the Religious Education Congress in Anaheim until Monday.  Excited to go as I missed last year.  I'll be driving down with a friend.  We always go together.

Finished with season two of House of Cards and I must say have grown somewhat weary of it in the last four episodes.  Where they'll go with season three is anyone's guess, but because of where they've gone I can't imagine it being of much interest but we shall see.

I then watched the first ten minutes of the Brit original - it's very different in look and especially tone, at least so far.  The American version is very much in the David Fincher mode - it reeks of his "style."

I wish I could but I can't preorder or order anything at this time as I have to be on a very severe budget, which I started last month.  Today I confirmed that the two checks I was expecting from two lymphoma-related charities were apparently stolen from my mailbox and were forged in my name.  Besides losing the total of $2500, I've learned that there is nothing I can do to recoup since these funds are from charities.  I cannot prove to them that I did not cash the checks, or had the checks cashed in my behalf.  The situation would have been different if these were paychecks or Social Security payments.  The bank has been extremely unhelpful.  I filed a report but was told that it is unlikely that I will ever see that money.  As upsetting as this all has been for me, I will have to move forward and remind (convince) myself that I never actually had the money in hand.  It feels like being victimized twice, by losing the money and then by trying to prove a negative.  I have to be thankful that the cancer is in remission and that I am able to apply for work once again.  I cannot dwell on the bad that has happened, but look forward to better days ahead.

That is not a good story, Dan M - I've assumed you've spoken to the police about it?  The thief will ultimately rot in hell, that's a given, but the charities should should be more understanding, although they're out the money, certainly.  This kind of tale makes my blood boil.  Certainly preordering the book is the least problem you have, so don't even sweat that.

Yes.  It's a very difficult situation.  I was told that there's a lot of bank fraud and such particularly due to the illegal drug culture that stays just under the radar in this area.  I cannot allow myself to get as upset as I would like because the stress is not good for my health as it is at this time.
