Still rainy and damp here.
It was in the mid-60s yesterday and today it's 43 with wet, drizzly rain!
Turns out I will see Happy Fella after all. A friend has an extra ticket so I will be going to the Sunday evening performance.
Yes Jr and 63, In the last few years I have become interested in reading about the Past.

Thanks, DR Elmore! Be kind to yourself this weekend...
And we're in the car on the road!
And we're in the car on the road!
I'm up, I'm up. Awoke at eight-thirty, an hour earlier than I'd hoped, stayed in bed till nine-thirty then had to rush to an impromptu breakfast with a friend visiting from out of town. I had eggs benedict. Then I delivered books to Mystery and Imagination, picked up no packages, did some banking and now I'm in and here and feeling twitchy and bitchy and manic.
Well, we can see how many men it takes to escort Ginny out on the town.
In the movie "The Prince and the Pauper" (the Errol Flynn version) one of the "princes" is asked what Ann Boleyn died of. He said she died from eating too many pomegranates. Of course, we know she died from separation anxiety when her head was severed from her body. But, oh! That Mark Twain!

Friday afternoon greetings from Greater Cincinnati International Airport, which is actually in Kentucky. As some of you heard, Richard discovered shortly after we arrived in Philadelphia that he'd lost his car keys and I don't carry my keys when we travel. We collected our luggage, had lunch, and he's at the car waiting for the AAA locksmith to arrive with new keys. If I disappear abruptly, it's because he's called to tell me he's on his way to pick me up.
Has anyone watch MR SELFRIDGE On PBS?
The hubby and I just watch the first episode of Season 2.
We enjoyed it very much.
And we're in the car on the road!
That's a good sign.
I heard from Alan's oldest daughter Elodie. He was cremated today and the memorial service will be tomorrow at Verity Lodge; is that on the MU-M campus?
Oh, we're home!

We only watched the first episode. I didn't even know it was still on.
I don't really yak on Facebook - I go there to drum up people for our shows and the signing - but this crap shows up on my newsfeed and I just have to respond. :)
But I'm glad you saw it because I meant to mention that gal who wrote me, to see if you knew her.
Well, it's time for me to leave work and head back downtown. I'm working concessions for Olympia Family Theater (http://olyft.org/)'s opening night performance of "Orphan Train (http://olyft.org/event-registration/?ee=111)."
Be back later!

I think you would like it. They switched things up this year. This is the first episode of the 2nd half of the season.
I attended two concerts yesterday and heard some amazing newly composed vocal music. Had a chance to chat with some of the young up-and-coming composers afterward.
There is so much amazing music going on in the Twin Cities, and I have been attending an average of 2 to 3 concerts per week. When I lived near NYC I certainly had the opportunity to hear much great music, but getting in and out of the city was such a hassle that I didn't always take advantage of the opportunities. Here, you can be home in 10 minutes. Well - when it isn't snowing. :)
I knew you'd love that about the twin cities

Congratulations to your theatre company, DR George! May you have a happy and successful tenure in your very own home.
