I forgot to post this earlier in the week, but I was at a meeting on Wednesday or Thursday with several fairly high-ranking people at the company. The subject was social media and the lone woman in the room was talking about Twitter or sending a tweet. She wanted the past tense of tweet, but instead she used a vulgar term for a woman's private parts.
And an awkward silence descended on the room. Someone finally changed the topic and we went on. Her face was beet red when she realized what she had said.
I felt bad for her then. Still do, but I am now laughing at it all, too.
I learned on BookFace last week that those are not Easter Eggs
I thought of BK again this morning when the renters across the street brought their party out to the front yard at 3 a.m.
Nice kerning game.
Up till a few few years ago, I'd never heard of the word. Now there are a couple of web sites (not this one) in which I always seem to notice bad kerning, and it's finally in my vocabulary.
peeps pic!
TCB - they didn't have an understudy? That would have been a great lesson on the importance of understudies.
Last month I got an email from our local theater that the next day's performance was canceled because of an injury to a cast member. I was stunned that there was no understudy.
and how exactly do bunny rabbit, eggs and chocolate become part of the religion?
Congratulations on all you do, vixmom.
I know this is a special week, but frankly, almost every week's postings from you sound like this! :)
Good morning, all! Last night was not a good night for me. I tried a new prescription for Ropinerole, and it did nothing to calm the shooting pains in my left ankle and the throbbing in the ball of my right foot. I am assuming this means that all of my nerve problems are the result of the lower back discs, and not restless leg syndrome. So after suffering this madness for about 2 hours, around 1:15am, I took a flexerill, which calmed things down and I finally got to sleep sometime after 2:00.
I have work here: some orchestration, some writing, and DVD catchup. Easter has never been the favorite holiday of this lapsed protestant, although I am listening to Bach's Easter Oratorio at the moment and perhaps I'll listen to Handel's Messiah next.
DR Jane, nice DC photos.
DR TCB, sorry to hear about the show. How old are the young actors?
A lost Shakespeare play, rediscovered?

back from two Easter services - the first I served as assisting minister, the Vixter was an acolyte and we had the brass band, the full adult choir, the string choir and the bell choir. We all processed in and out and I had to give "mission minute"
the second service I just had to do the mission minute so I hung out in the back until it was my turn - the second service was the same groups except with the children's choir and the service was bilingual
both services were lovely
This is kind of fun: a kerning game!

My latest review, BE A GOOD LITTLE WIDOW with Caroline Aaron, is posted in the Now Playing section of the site.
Having a two o'clock call, and a 3:00 p.m. performance has kind of left me in limbo. I woke up too late for church, and I don't really have time to go anywhere or do anything before the show.
Some of the casting for Skip's 54 SINGS TIME AND AGAIN is on the 54 Below site.I wish I could see this show, or, at least, hear it.
It looks like they will have different casting between the 7:00 vs. the 9:30 show on May 11.

This is interesting in that in a recent BroadwayWorld interview with Randy Rainbow about 54 SINGS APPLAUSE, Penny Fuller mentioned that for that show also, the early show and the late show would not be exactly the same, or something to that effect.

So they confirmed that the young lady is OK today?

Well, I have head nothing, so I am assuming that we will have a performance, even if Scott has to play Meg.

LOL! My stupid keyboard sticks. As a result this was the original post.

Thanks for the opportunity to plug T&A, TCB! :)
Hope everything goes well today, TCB!

DR Jane, nice DC photos.
So - did you leave the theatre angry tonight?
Sounds like a fun sedar. Is it common for people in LA to have a sedar during Passover but not on the first two nights? I've only heard of having them on the first two nights.
This s a photo (I hope) of Aunt March and Meg. Meg is the injured cast member.
Thoroughly enjoyed Skip's songs, DR FJL. Thanks for posting those links.
Nice links DR FJL.
DR Elmore, Fr. Richard has now been present for the deaths of 2 parishioners and has presided over the funerals of several others. Mr. B's service will be at the church next Saturday. Richard is exhausted, both physically and emotionally. Easter weekend is his busiest time (3 services in 4 days) and he spent much of his "day off" yesterday at the hospital.

I hope he doesn't have any plans for tomorrow except a to exercise.
This is a short film I first saw when I was 11 years old, and I've never forgotten it.

That's my hope, too. I've just had a second dose of Tylenol and a big glass of wine, which should help.
Nice spread : turkey, ham and salmon, cauliflower casserole, turnips, corn, three kins of stuffing: pork sausage, cranberry and plain;mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, those little phyllo triangle thingies with spinach and cheese filling
for desert, angel food cake, whipped cream and strawberries, Italian rum cake, eclairs, chocolate frosted fudge brownies, ice cream cake, pudding, vanilla cream cake ....

Gee, I had a frozen dinner.
I find it ironic that ABC Television decided not to broadcast an episode of their new hit drama, RESURRECTION, on Easter Sunday.
how many more to six?
hmmm - I wonder where that quote came from?
good night Tommy, Imusytt be up in 5 hours for work
and how exactly do bunny rabbit, eggs and chocolate become part of the religion?
Happy Easter!
And for Easter, here's my favorite Peep show: Sunday in the Park with Peeps!
Upped my score to 85!
But that's all for now. If they used different words I might try again sometime, but they're the same ten.

Nope. No understudies. Since this is a youth theater / school they would probably have to double cast the show, so that the understudy could be given an equal number of performances. Community theaters never have understudies either.
