And the word of the day is: DAMSON!
The rabble need to be roused.
Criterion's THE ESSENTIAL JACQUES DEMY.
Tuesday morning greetings! I just cleaned out a cupboard in the breakfast room for Mary Linda to use and accumulated an entire box of audiocassettes for next year's AAUW book sale. She went back to work today after her 4-day moving weekend. Rob came home from work while Richard and I were finishing breakfast and he's zonked out now. He goes in again tonight at midnight and then is off until 8am Saturday.
It was kind of weird to sit at the breakfast table drinking coffee (me), tea (Richard), and beer (Rob).
I am a bit under the weather this morning....ugh.....it it was a work day.....it wouldn't be going.
I'm feeling somewhat more lifelike today.
DR Elmore, he worked 4 midnights in a row the week between Lauren's wedding and the move and said that was a bit much. He and Mary Linda didn't see much of each other that week.

A big whopping "Oy!" to DR Elmore. And:
TOYLAND VIBES!
If, after tomorrow, you can use some impromptu help in packing and carrying loads, I can do it. (Tomorrow I've got the car dealership and a couple of other annoying things.)
Criterion's THE ESSENTIAL JACQUES DEMY.
Picked mine up on pre-order during the recent online sale, and can't wait for it to be delivered! :)

Oh well......
I am a bit under the weather this morning....ugh.....it it was a work day.....it wouldn't be going.
Yesterday was not a good day for me. First thing when I woke up, I discovered that my laptop fell to the floor and the screen now looks like you're looking through a shattered window at night. I now have to buy a new laptop because to fix it would cost more than buying a new one. At work my right leg started to bother me so I started to favor my left leg. I must have done something because my left was ( and still is) killing me. I went home and change for my physiotherapy. It was then I noticed that my right leg had swollen up to three times its normal size. The therapist wanted me to go see a doctor as soon as I was finished. I went to the Workmen's Comp. place and they sent me to the emergency room of a local hospital. I got an ultrasound to see if there was a blood clot. Luckily there is not. But I have to stay home and keep my legs elevated. I however have to walk the dog. And I need to use a cane because my left leg is still in such pain. I am doing this posting from my iPhone because I don't have a computer. :-( If I can walk a little I will buy a new laptop this afternoon.
DR George, we too enjoy THE LAST SHIP and FALLING SKIES. Are you watching STRAIN or EXTANT?
My SONY Blu-Ray player, which is less than 2 years old, seems to have died. :P
Relief! A reprieve on revised ROBERTA booklet notes till August 4. That's one round of old hell off my plate.

The brew that is true.
Did you get it at Costco? They do an automatic double year warranty on electronics. My SONY Blu-Ray player, which is less than 2 years old, seems to have died. :P
No!! :o And it's probably cheaper to get a new one than to try and get it fixed...that seems to be the case for so many things anymore.

I haven't seen STRAIN or EXTANT, but I have notes to myself to check them out on OnDemand...when I can take the time.

I will indeed be playing Banjo in THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER, which is fine. I only wish Sheridan was being played by someone I really liked.....onstage OR off.....
I'm with y'all on these sequels:
The Godfather II and III
French Connection II
Aliens (I can enjoy the last two films, too, though good sequels, let alone great movies, they are not)
Back to the Future II and III
I know there are others, but they aren't coming to mind. Certainly there are worthy ones from the Universal and Hammer horror days, and from a few other "franchises" of various stripes.
In general, though, nowadays, the word "sequel" carries about as bad a connotation as "remake".

I didn't know that.
Very busy morning. But had breakfast with the helper - sausage and eggs and toast but only one piece of toast and no potatoes, then we did our Costco run. Picked up two packages and then I finally had to call the Apple Care and get them to do something about the horrendous behavior of the Mac Mail program. I couldn't even get it to launch and it was giving me all kinds of weird messages - I restarted the computer but it's been erratic for a year now and I can't deal with it anymore. I got an expert on the phone and did the thing where he can see my computer screen - he saw that Mail was trying to bring in 56,000 e-mails and when I told him it did that five or six times a DAY, he said something was definitely wrong. So he had me remove three folders from the mail folder and he had me rebuild everything and he said that other than bringing everything in one time, it should now know that mail is already there and doesn't need to be re brought in every time. Hopefully that will work. I'll probably know by this evening and I've got this guy's personal contact. And now to jog. Oh, and we had a little drama (not me personally) with one of the And the World Goes Round actresses - this person was the one person who came with the package - when I agreed to do the album I didn't want anyone from the production they'd just done but they insisted this girl was part of it and I thought she'd be okay and said yes. And she is okay. But she's now behaving poorly with the musical director, which is not smart as this would not have happened without he and his parents. People need to understand when they are given a gift. But, alas.

And don't bite the hand that feeds you.

When Keith was in school and worked nights often we would only see each other sleeping, or grunting a hello. In retrospect those days were much easier than the long stretches he would travel for work.
And the Man from Philadelphia continues to irritate me. If he'd simply pull his head out of his ass . . .
It was cloudy and a tiny bit rainy up here, also, DR Jane. It was a nice relief from that hot weather!
Alas, the forcast has us back in the 90s this weekend. :P
My niece has swimmer's ear so she cannot compete in the swim meet tomorrow. She is going crazy not being able to go to swimming lessons or swim team. :(
DR John your parent's have a wonderful group of friends.
VIBES THEY DON'T SUFFER DELAYED SYMPTOMS!

I thought you were going to say in retrospect those days were easier than when he was home LOL ;D

Thanks, DR TCB. Sheridan Whiteside is the role I auditioned for, but I also read for Banjo.....who would be a lot of fun to play. And he doesn't come on until the last couple of scenes...so that would be nice as well.
I should hear from the director sometime today. There was certainly someone else there Sunday who could play Sheridan, and I don't know who was there last night. So we shall see.

MEGA VIBES YOU WILL QUICKLY RECOVER!!!!
(Did Nurse Jane really say that?)
Afterward, I began to watch the first PLANET OF THE APES film on Amazon.com streaming. Got through 15 minutes of it when it would no longer load. I must remember to get Comcast to replace my modem, and soon!
TCB how are your ribs?
More downs than ups these days, DR ChasSmith. I told Rob, "Just shoot me."

Yeah, I'm worried about that. I told Mom that whiplash can take a few days before it becomes apparent. But she doesn't want to hear that, and, well, I don't blame her.
Vibes for DR John G's parents!
Indeed!
And to all the rest of yez's parents and siblings and friends and coworkers and servants and anyone else I'm forgetting!! :)
What a week. Damn that Mercury!
Back from a good meeting and two slices of Dino's great pizza (I was a good boy and didn't do three) plus a small piece of cherry pie that was given to me today as a gift - I brought it to the meeting so I wouldn't be tempted to eat it all tonight.
She must have been channeling Elmore
TCB how are your ribs?
And are they anything close to what you can get in the South?

That's him.
John G did I miss how to order your book?
John G Vibes for your parents --- will their car be repaired or has it been totaled?
I hope you not only see the concert but that she doesn't disappoint.
Being a referee this evening and did a pretty good job of it, actually.
