Elmore I am sorry I forgot to take a picture I know how you like that;D
Today, I've been home doing not much of anything. I did a load of laundry and watched the Chris O'Donnell episode from last season's "Who Do You Think You Are?" Now, I have to take a shower and go to my parents' house for visiting and eating and game playing time. My sister and niece will be there. I don't know if my sister's boyfriend will be there. He just had a pacemaker installed last week. :o He's doing much better now, so that's good.
~ ~ ~ SUPER VIBES FOR A SUPER SHOW ~ ~ ~ for bk and his merrie Kritzerland crew!!!
I'm in the doghouse...

Music is everywhere in Austin. Even the grocery stores have live music. We went to one and heard a western swing band. Then we wandered around the downtown area, found a great burger at a dive bar, and then heard a rockabilly band playing at the Driskell Hotel.

Wouldn't have simply been easier for the Vixter to fly from Florida to Canada?
Consider this 3 week separation preparation for when you have an empty nest and enjoy your alone time with Vixdad.
We woke up to ash on the ground this morning.
I'm glad you enjoyed the show. The theater is beautiful. Didn't you mention you will be doing a show there in the near future?
Now I'm off to an Italian dinner prepared by Luca Della Casa from "Foot Network Star." The dinner is supposed to end before the episode is supposed to air, so I think we'll be watching that, too.

I think to someone who was born and raised in Ghana, rice balls are an American dish :)
I myself have never had a rice ball

we also bought the tickets for Canada before she bought hers for Florida

well you do live in Ash Land!
Back from PETER PAN, and it turned out to be a damned fine one.
This theater is to die for, and I would have enjoyed playing the show. The production looked to be better than the one I played there several years ago, and the 22-piece orchestra (in a real pit -- imagine!) was excellent.
Here's the theater. I took these ten years ago while playing in a production of WEST SIDE STORY. (scroll down)

Yes. I'll be playing in RAGTIME in November.
Seriously though, VIBES the fires stay far far away form you

The rest would have been a nuisance but possible to manage ;)

I may have to make a road trip for that one, Chas! I hope it will not conflict with the NYC Kritzerland show

But if it coordinates with the NYC Kritzerland shows, we could go, too!

she doesn't have a straight flight throught ot Florida - changes plans in Baltimore then the flight to Canada is three legs plus and items that she might have collected on her trip in Florida too much stff to be dragging around
is the site loading slowly for every one i or is it just me?
and don't ANY of you crowd Elmore keep to your own seats or I'll turn this van right around.....

I won't crowd anyone. Just save 1-1/2 seats and I'll be fine. :)
when is the Kritzerland show?
I think the Kritzerland shows are November 15 & 16, but BK will have to confirm. Alas, we won't be able to come in early enough to catch RAGTIME - I have an AAUW commitment here in Middletown on Nov. 10. We'll probably plan our NYC arrival for the 12th or 13th (Richard's birthday).
Boy, all this talk of HHW activity in the NY area makes me a wee bit homesick!

Great news that he's doing well.

It would be a good time for a return visit.
I'm listening to last night's BBC Proms broadcast of "Kiss Me Kate" with my friends Ben Davis as Fred Graham/Petruchio and John Wilson conducting.
A DC 10 Air Tanker has arrived to help out with the fires.

I concur, I am pretty sure Elmore's fire escape will be free in November
freezing but free
Back from a long day of church services and concerts (attending, not performing).
Now, we have thunder.

Indeed. And I took my typing lessons from the Vixmon School of Jamaican Foot Typing.
Luca's dinner was wonderful, and it was great to see the episode of Food Network Star while dining. He really showed on this episode that he has star potential, more so than ever before, and his pilot looked incredible, too.
He's just the nicest man. He saw me from afar and came up to shake my hand and thank me for coming to the dinner, even while others were trying to get their pictures taken with him. That made me feel good.

I have yet to see RAGTIME. A local high school did it a few years ago, and I'd heard that it was very good, but I couldn't get to it. I was involved in a show that had performances on the same days. I hate it when that happens.

Listening to Alban Berg's Lulu suite with Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra - I'm not in love with Berg or the suite, but boy is it well performed. And now Im Sommerwind by Webern, which I like very much.

I remember when I was in college, I had to listen to the opera "Lulu" with Teresa Stratas. I did not get it at all. However, I listened to Philip Glass' "Satyagraha" and loved (and still love) that.
