Well, you've read the notes, the notes were footnotes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently having a foot MOOsage.

Good morning, all.

Awake too early this morning.  So what else is new?  Not much.  Back to rehearsal tonight, and then four lovely days off from it.

Good morning, all! Still no refund from Santander Bank for the overdrawn fees, so I will shortly walk over there and raise some hell.

I have therapy late today at 1:00 since they are closed tomorrow and Monday and the schedule today is crammed. They asked me if i could arrive at a later time.

My Mac is dying, Last night, to keep the ghosts from playing on it, I shut it down. It did not wish to be revived this morning. I need a big jobsoon so I can afford to buy a new one.

bk, I am sad that you are no longer considering going to Jason G's weddng after the recording session on Saturday. Selfishly, I was hoping for your full report.     :)

I'm trying to figure out how to stop by Jason's.  If there's valet parking then I might.  He lives on one of those crazy tiny streets in the hills and parking is a nightmare.

I am a strong believer in the therapeutic benefits of massage. The paper I worked at in Florida used to bring in chair massage once a week. One week I'd get a neck and back massage, the other I'd get a foot massage. Both were incredible.

I'm due a massage soon.

I am not sure quite why, but today's topic title makes me think of either Shakespeare ("I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him") or Dylan Thomas ("Do not go gentle into that good night").

From DR George:
Quote
I'm watching a new show on BBC America (recorded on my DVR from Saturday) called "Intruders."  It stars John Simm and it's quite mysterious.  According to the IMDb plot:  "A TV series centered around a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others."

We watched it last night.  Keith wanted to give it one more try and I decided I don't want to watch it again so we will remove it from our list of shows to record.

Just finished two more individual interviews.   So, I've talked to 5 different commission members, 3 lawyers and 2 lay people.  (there are a total of 10) I was impressed with both of the lay people on the commission.  They are new to it and are taking it very seriously.  I actually think they asked better questions than the lawyers did and I know at least one of them contacted references.  I"m looking forward to tomorrow.

I had planned to get through a lot of the stack of work on my desk today, but alas, that hasn't happened. Too many thinks on my mind.   I did get fairly organized and sent out the notices of court dates etc that my clients need.   I doubt much more will get done today.  I am going to work at least one day this weekend, not sure which day.

The last baseball game of the season is tonight.  I think I'll go.  It may rain, but I think I'll take the chance.  There are fireworks tonight so it may be more crowded, which isn't a bad thing.  It's fan appreciation night, not sure what that means, but who doesn't want to be appreciated.

Rehearsal was really fun, and then Lanny and I had lunch with our contractor Joe Soldo.  This guy is amazing - in his mid-80s with more energy than five people half his age.  Plays tennis every morning at eight.  Great stories today, of Sinatra, Manilow, Streisand - all of whom Joe has worked for as contractor and/or player.

In Oregon, judges are appointed to fill vacancies. They would need to be re-elected at some point, in order to continue for another term, however.  Reason being that judges don't retire, die, or resign on any schedule, and it would be difficult to hold an election each time one leaves and it would also be difficult for the courts if you didn't replace the leaving judge as soon as possible.

I would guess Ohio is the same way.

Bryan thinks bow ties are cool and wears them.  Who is the guy on the left in the photo?  He looks like Bryan.

I'm pretty sure the Bryan look alike is Matt Smith aka the 11th Doctor Who.  Keith wants to know who the other person is.

Went to Costco tonight and saw two large stacks of "Barbecue Lover's Texas" on sale. That's the first store I've seen it on display. Felt good.

Page four?  Really?  Got rid of more DVDs, then finished watching the All That Jazz extras.  Not sure I'm up for a movie tonight.  But I must jog.  I only had a lettuce wedge and teeny-tiny thing of mac-and-cheese, so I will think about dropping by Jerry's for a cup of tomato bisque.

Watching "Dangerous When Wet." Esther Williams swims with Tom and Jerry (yes, a swimming cat). And William Demerest sings Johnny Mercer-Arthur Schwartz. It's fairly deranged.

I have an Esther Williams box set somewhere. I don't think I've ever watched any of them!

Went and had a cup of soup and came home to Time Warner being down.  Of course, they say they're NOT down, but clearly they glitched or were down - so had to unplug everything, shut the computer down and then restart everything.  It's working, but really poorly.  Hopefully it will be okay by the time I have to post the notes.

Since I woke up this morning the haze from smoke has been visible.  It seems to be blowing away now.  My longs feels ok.  I think it looked worse than it was.

So Jrand is talking about his shorts, and Jane is talking about her longs.

I'd like to hear some of those stories!

Especially the Sinatra stories?

There was one very amusing Sinatra story, but I cannot tell it if we're only on page four, which is rather pathetic and most unseemly.
