Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of session one and the music we recorded, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently making MOOsic.
-
And the word of the day is: SWEVEN!
-
And a very happy haineshisway birthday to Swishy Sarah.
-
A Very Happy Birthday to former DR Swishy Sarah!!
-
From yesterday:
This "issue" will NEVER happen again.
That's good!
Dennis, one of the actors and one who has done work in The Midnight Sun, has a key and was able to lock the building. Otherwise, the show went quite well, again! I think that there were only two empty seats.
-
Tonight at 8pm will be the last performance for the second weekend, then we're off until Thursday.
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Good morning, all! First thing this morning, i have a trip to the bank and the market. Following that, I plan to do laundry and contemplate the cartons from yesterday.
-
Good morning from Western New York!
-
So much fun reading the notes, BK!
-
Good morning, all.

The Cartons From Yesterday: A Memoir

Thanks, Ben, for the news on Victoria Mallory. Her version of Soon is an ingrained part of me after 40 years.
-
Age 64, and pancreatic cancer! Horrible.

Age 64. YIKES!

Happy birthday to Swishy Sarah!!!
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! We went to Rob and Mary Linda's church this morning in 2 separate cars. After the service and lunch, the guys came home and Mary Linda and I proceeded to the Cincinnati 'burbs to shop at the Container Store. We both found what we went for and are now home playing with our new toys. I'm packing to leave for France tomorrow.
-
Happiest of birthdays to SwishySarah!

TWO!

How sad...
I saw her and Mark in A Little Night Music on Broadway in 1974 when I was in New York for ALA.
-
So . . . I've been through the cartons shuffling things about, I've done the laundry, spoken to Susanna Moross about flying to Dallas in October for The Golden Apple, spoken to my friend Matthew about getting together tomorrow afternoon, and listened to Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann. That's been my day.
I'm still pondering the geography of this apartment and what to do with it.
-
No posts in two hours? WTF?
-
Back from session two - we finished way early, got all the overdubs and now it's on to the final vocals on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wonderful work today from Lanny - simpler charts for smaller forces, but equally wonderful.
-
My meeting is concluded.

DR GINNY HAVE A SAFE, HEALTHY, FUN TRIP!!!

I'd read this earlier. Very sad. :(

Shortly I shall be on my way to the Bowl of Hollywood, but before I go, let me just say this and I want everyone here to comprehend it to the best of his/her/their ability - PAGE TWO? Really? This will turn ugly if we don't get some postin' goin' on.
-
Uh oh.....
-
I had a hard time getting on to the discussion board.
-
I had known for about two weeks that Victoria Mallory was dying, but for the life of me I cannot remember who it was that told me. She was so beautiful in A Little Night Music.
-
I got a breakdown of what the biopsies said. I am going ahead with the surgery, but not sure when I'm going to do it though
-
And on that, I am going to chill out, watch bit of TV, read a bit of my mystery, and go to bed.
-

Does the breakdown confirm you "only" have pre-cancer?
-
I've been sorting/stacking scores and books -- well, mostly scores -- per inspiration received from DR Elmore's moving and organizational activities... and I just got rid of well over a cubic foot of music (just have to figure out who to give it to!), and put another half a cubic foot of related paper into the recycling bin.
That doesn't sound like much, does it? Well, there's a lot more to go through. And in psychological/emotional terms, trust me, baby, it's a lot. And it feels good. Every little bit helps.
-
DR GINNY HAVE A SAFE, HEALTHY, FUN TRIP!!!
Merci, DR Jane! I'm as packed as I can be for now, so I'm doing my nails and watching TV with Richard.
-
Just said goodbye to my brother, sister-in-law, nephew and his wife. They came to DR Kate's for pizza, salad and wings.
-
This morning my brother and I went to see our niece cross the finish line at a half marathon.
-
Hello DR"S,
So sorry BK about being only on Page 2.
-
I feel that it is my duty to come to the Rescue :-*
-
The
-
quick brown fox,
-
jumped over the lazy's dog's back.
-
Now is the time,
-
for all good men,
-
I was shocked to see that we were only on page 2!
-
to come to the aid of their party. :-* 8) ;)
-
Oops sorry DR Kate!
-
TOD;
BK,
When are you going to write another book about my favorite character, Benjamin Kritzer in his early adulthood years?
I would really love to read it!
-
We are now on Page 3 :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Had a nice weekend so far with DR Kevin and my family!
Hope everyone else is having a great and safe weekend.
-
The hubby and I will be celebrating our 31 Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday, Sept 2.
-
I feel so bad about Joan Rivers. May God Bless her. Let's all pray for her recovery!
-
I am currently reading The Beach House by Mary Alice Monrow.
Have any DR"S read this, and if so, I would appreciate any comments.
-
Well Bk, I did do my best to come through for you.
Hope the last of your weekend is good!
-
Goodbye for now ;) :-* : :)
-
Forecast for tomorrow in West Seneca, NY: 83 degrees and 20percent chance of rain. I hope it won't be quite so humid
-
What's going in here? You'd think it was a holiday weekend or something !
-
Great photos from the recording session, BK!
-
Dear DR Kate -- can we please turn the a/c up ?
-
I must say it's taking a long time to post. Maybe it's just me.
-
It's a long way to page 4!

I haven't read it. Looking it up on Goodreads I was relieved to see it received far better reviews than The Beach House by Jane Green ;D
Are you enjoying it? My eBook library doesn't have it.
-
Dear DR Kate -- can we please turn the a/c up ?
;D
Craig said it is hot in Maryland/DC.

Craig said it is hot in Maryland/DC.
I imagine it's a lot warmer there than here in the Buffalo area
-
I would think so. He said it has been warming up.
-
Good evening.
-
Power outage!!!
And the ol' generator is humming away! :)
Might have been due to storms, since some outages had been reported earlier, but there was a loud "BANG!" when this happened, and I let them know a transformer down on the street might have blown. We've heard that sound before.
-
Kate, I hope your in-laws had a happy anniversary.
-
Been a busy day.
-
Went to a dance class after church. Got really tired from all of that stretching. It's been too long, and I really need to devote more time to this.
-
Then this afternoon was the Margarita Meltdown, which is what it felt like in the 95+ degree weather.
-
Followed by dinner at a place that's been getting a lot of press lately, including a six-page spread in the new Bon Appetit magazine.
-
Now it's time to watch some Blandings.
-
In air conditioning.
-
What a blessed thing air conditioning is.
-
Let's move on.
-
Four!
-
What a blessed thing air conditioning is.
Indeed.
-
So . . . I've been through the cartons
OHHH, I thought that said I've been through the cartoons...I couldn't figure out this sudden interest in getting through cartoons
-
And the word of the day is: SWEVEN!
Wasn't that a Bwad Pitt movie, with Morgan Fweeman?
-
Good evening. There was a storm south of town. Probably a microburst, lots of trees down and wind damage. We didn't have any wind and barely any rain. Of course we've had almost 30 inches since June- more than our yearly average- so no tears were shed over the lack of rain
-
It blew a semi-truck off the interstate and there are reports of gas leaks and all sorts of things. They've blocked off a couple towns so you can't get in until morning. Too many power lines down and they don't want looky-loos getting in the way
-
I had a pretty good day. I went to the office and panicked looking at all the work I have to catch up on. I knew storms were predicted so I packed up the work in a box and brought it home. I asked my lawyers email group for advice about the case I was most panicked about and I now know I have no reason to panic.
-
Since I don't normally panic, I decided that trying to get all my work done today so I could go see my parents tomorrow was pushing it too much. I took the day off and cancelled the trip tomorrow. I was just there last week so Mom was fine with it
-
I had a nice day. I puttered around, went out for lunch, played with the cats and .... I guess mostly just watched tv. It was very relaxing
-
Tomorrow I plan to do laundry and clean up the house. That always makes me feel good. Then I will do several projects for the office....or maybe just one, depends on what else is going on
-
I'm really looking forward to this week. Wednesday night we start band rehearsal. Woo Hoo. I missed it. I got out my flute today and played for a while just for fun. The first concert our first flute will be gone and the woman who played second chair moved away. So that means the third chair will play first and I'll likely be second chair. I'm looking forward to that. After this much time, I'm totally up for it
-
Saturday night is my friends annual hootenanny. it's not a real hootenanny but they get some musicians to play and everyone is free to join in. I didn't want to perform last year and the host asked me to please do it this year. So I'm going to take my flute and maybe sing who knows. I have a spare flute that's great for such things.
-
I got a great night's sleep last night. It was just what I needed. I'm hoping to do the same tonight.
-
Did I mention that Bob is very excited that I'm going to be signing a new lease. He really didn't want to move his office. He said "I'm staying! I'm staying!" lol.
-
Oh and the sirens went off tonight, but it was for the stuff south of town (it's like 10 miles as the crow flies) I'm sort of Paul's weather person because he doesn't pay attention and knows I do. He said he had just gotten settled in the bath tub when he heard the sirens. Lol I wonder if it made him jump....it did make him call me. I told him to get back in the tub

Very sad news. And only 64.

Decided to let Boo have her turn at the avatar. This is her irritated....what don't you understand about "I'm going to take a nap now" look
-
let's see what can we talk about
-
The rain is Spain stays mainly in the plain.....except this year when it dumped on us all summer
-
I did learn that mowing the yard is a great way to burn off energy when you're really mad about something. Sort of like stomping out of a room when I was a kid, lol
-
Did I mention I mowed the yard today
-
I'm getting very sleepy
-
So, as much as I want to get us to page 5, I fear I'll have to leave that for others
-
But I would be remiss if I didn't say "Hi TCB!!"
-
And just for good measure....Hi Guest, whoever you are
-
Safe and happy travel vibes to DR Ginny and DH Richard!
-
Very nice photo of Boo, Cillaliz.
-
Saturday night is my friends annual hootenanny.
LMAO! I thought you wrote animal hootenanny.
-
But I would be remiss if I didn't say "Hi TCB!!"
Hi, Cilla!
-
One more.
-
Page 5
-
I can't do this alone.
-
Where is Vixmom when you need her?
-
It is really tough when you can't post.
-
Post has been a problem again tonight.
-
Grrrrrrrr
-
I keep getting kicked out!!
-
Getting kicked out of where?
-
Site is working fine.
-
I need to know when there are problems with the site - but not when there are problems with Internet providers.
-
The Bowl was fun, concert was great, and will have more in the notes.
-
I got an e-mail from someone who knows someone in NY who knows someone who was working in the hospital where Joan Rivers was having her throat surgery. The implication was that something went wrong with whatever gas they were giving her and she stopped breathing, as has been reported. According to this fourth-hand account, she is brain dead and they will pull the plug this week - but I hate rumors so take it with a grain of salt.
-
But then there's this article from the Daily News - one doubts its veracity, actually, but it just shows that no one knows anything.

I had a hard time getting on to the discussion board.
By the time I had to leave to go to the theater, I got a message that the site was down, so I just left. :(
But I'm back. :)
-
I need to know when there are problems with the site - but not when there are problems with Internet providers.
For me, the site seems to take a long time to post just about every other post (or click) to maybe every two out of three clicks. I use Firefox, but it seems to be happening when I use Internet Explorer, also.
-
Did I mention that Bob is very excited that I'm going to be signing a new lease. He really didn't want to move his office. He said "I'm staying! I'm staying!" lol.
Good news for Bob!
;)
-
My last post took almost a full minute to post, but this post was instantaneous!
-
Decided to let Boo have her turn at the avatar. This is her irritated....what don't you understand about "I'm going to take a nap now" look
Very nice picture of Boo!
-
I'm now using Internet Explorer to see if there's a difference.
-
That last post was pretty quick.
-
So was that. As for tonight's "An Improbable Peck of Plays 3D," we had all of 9 people in the house. Four couples and my friend, Mark.
-
The show itself was pretty good...no major goobers from the actors or from the tech (meaning mostly ME).
-
;)
-
Now, we're off until Thursday. It'll be a nice break with tomorrow off from work, too.
-
I do have a LOT of laundry to do...
-
...and some TV/DVD watching, so it's nice to have the day off.
-
And some checking account balancing must be done, as well.
-
And some checking account balancing must be done, as well.
-
And since we're finally so close...
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
BK, that last post just took more than eight, count 'em, EIGHT minutes to post, and I clicked "Post" several times. :(
