Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the crux, and now it is time for you to post until the crux of the cows come home.

Good morning, all! Around 9:45 I will walk over to the Fed Ex office and see if they are holding my package. Then I shall board a bus to take me to 28th Street and Seventh Avenue, from which stop I will walk to the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization and spend my ;aye morning and early afternoon looking at the archive for Chee-Chee.  On my way home, I will stop back at the Fed Ex office, if I didn't pick up the package earlier. When I'm home, I will listen to the masters of ROBERTA, which is due for release in less than thirty days now.

I missed the primary election yesterday, thanks to Fed Ex, and that's one more grudge to hold against them.

Good morning, all.

I woke earlier, crawled back into bed for another hour of sleep, actually got into a decent sleep, had a dream about being on a trip in some luxury hotel and finding my suitcase and belongings removed from my room before I was ready to check out, suddenly realizing (now I'm back in bed, in the hotel) that my plane back home was in the early afternoon, not evening, and I might be missing it as we speak, and jolting myself awake so I could get up and call the front desk to ask where the HELL was my stuff... when what happened was I was jolting myself awake right here at home.

So you see, kids, some days it just doesn't pay to go to bed.

DR VIXMOM that grandmother's grandson should have won the science fair.

While I was shopping at Dollar Tree yesterday, there was a woman a few aisles over who was talking to a couple from her church....they happened to be in the store at the same time.  The woman was talking about her operation....and the wife kept reminding the husband how they had prayed for the woman many times.....

The husband was not sure and kept confusing her with other people they had prayed for.  The woman had had surgery and her bowel had been nicked by a laser, and then she was in a coma for six months....and then she was on oxygen....but she weaned herself off of the oxygen....and I heard ALL about it....and then the wife filled her in on what she had missed at church during the six months she was in a coma....

It was all most enjoyable.

Last night, our lead actually did a good job....well compared to previously....our first act...with MOST of the lines...now runs about 97 minutes and the second act is always 47 minutes...so we are doing okay.

Mercredi afternoon greetings!  In the "first things first" department, Richard and I spent about 90 minutes this morning next door at Julice Laverie doing a load of lights and a load of darks.  Afterwards we went over a street to a wonderful open air market.  Bought lunch at the local boulangerie, ate in our room, and then walked to Luxembourg Gardens.  I had a manicure (in France, but not a French manicure) and now we're relaxing at the hotel.

Maybe North by Northwest, but certainly Li'l Abner, should it ever be released, which is pretty doubtful.

Good morning - Our first run with the orchestra was rocky at best.  I couldn't hear things clearly, the cast couldn't hear us well, the mix in my headphones was SOOOO off that I heard people talking in the dressing rooms, etc.  I'm told tonight will get better.  The orchestra is great and we are having a great time.  The show is great also.  Tonight we have a small audience of a cast from another show that can't see our show because we run at the same time.  It's still a rehearsal.  But then again, is life a rehearsal?

In all, not a bad day, but the lady at the local Fed Ex office is not the brightest bulb in the lamp. I got there at 10:00 and the package had nto yet arrived so I went to Rodgers & Hammerstein, photocopied what I wanted from Chee-Chee and headed back uptown. I stopped in at Fed Ex and was told by the same lady I'd seen in the morning that the package was not there, so I called Fed Ex, got the manager Andrew, who'd been so helpful yesterday afternoon when i was ready to kill, and he said, yes. It's there, arrived at 12:27.

So, he spoke to the idiot woman who'd claimed not 10 minutes before that the package was not there, she muttered a few things, and then she got it for me.

I'm now listening to the mastered CDs. They sound good.

I had expected Netflix to send us something on Friday when we signed up-nothing.  On Monday they shipped two DVD's which didn't arrive until today.  Their service used to be 1 day.  I wish I knew if our local warehouse has been closed, still if they were shipped from Salem or Portland 1 day should have been sufficient.

If you have Netflix, how many days does it take to receive your DVD?

Here's my Dollar Tree story, only it's the local supermarket this morning:

After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, I finally got my items on the conveyor belt. I finally get to the head of the line. As the customer in front of me gets their receipt, the register paper runs out. So the clerk puts in a new roll of paper, which crashes the register. "We're closing the lane, folks!" So I gather up my items, putting them back into the cart, but by this time all the people behind me in the line have scattered and joined other open lines, so I am back at the end of another line and have to wait ANOTHER 10 minutes to check out.

I know, first-world problem. But it was still annoying.        :)

So Monday  one co worker came in with her hand swollen to  1 1/2 normal size with red streaks running up her fingers to the first knuckle and up to her wrist....  She was bitten by a stray cat and was pooh poohing all our urgent pleas to go immediately to urgent care or the emergency room

I spent days in the hospital receiving antibiotics through an iv due to a dog bite.  I am very lucky to have my hand.

I recounted the two weeks my mother spent in hospital on intravenous antibiotics and the conversations that were held regarding possible amputation after she delayed medical assistance until 48 hours after her cat bit her.    To no avail

One of the vet techs at our vet practice had a serious problem due to a cat bite.

So when the boss came in I pulled him aside and  insisted he order her to the urgent care... He looked at me like I had two heads until I said cat bite and then he had his own tale to tell of a cat bite victim and her stay in hospital

BK, the Kritzerland videos are great! Looking forward to seeing what else you post.  :D

I've been reading about the new iPhones as well. I already have an iPad Mini, so the bigger phone would be redundant. And I hear it won't fit in your pocket. So, if I upgrade when they come out, I'll stick to the smaller one.

This morning another coworker was in an accident on her way to work, In fact she was right across the street from our office when some nitwit  who was not paying attention... (Not sure if texting, or phone was involved) crossed over the yellow line and crashed head on into my co worker.   Fortunately she has (had.   It's been totaled). A big old SUV and she survived with only bruises but she was rushed to hospital by ambulance. And spent a day getting xrayed and examined to be sure she concussion free and had no fractures

We had band tonight and there's something that is really bugging me.  I sit between two music teachers in their late 20s, one band one....well I thought she was band, but I'm not sure, anyway, we're playing a broadway medley and some other Broadway stuff.  Neither one of them know any of the songs.  We're talking 25 songs or so and they don't know any of them.   Does that make any sense at all?  How do you become a music teacher and not know basic songs?   Like Some Enchanted Evening, My Funny Valentine, Another Opening Another Show or the songs from Sound of Music.   I don't get it

Then there was our band director he was working with the trumpets and said "Does anyone know the words to this part"  I helpfully sang "O ho lay dee odl lee o, o ho lay dee odl ay..."  then added, of course I don't know if those are really words, lol

Not going to the Zoo friday for the seminar, but I got the materials today, so I can still learn the info even if I don't get credit and I can go to the retirement party for a very good friend and a really cool art exhibit opening. Artoretum.  It's the sculpture show out in the woods near a Neutra house.   Very cool every year.  I would have missed both events if I went to the seminar.  Decided friends are more important that the class.

Went to a new bar after tap class (long story) with some folks I guess I'm beginning to get to know. They're opening their own wings bar in the neighborhood. Anyway, I hadn't been to this place, but I soon became fairly impressed with the place. The food was great (fried pickled vegetables and amazing fried chicken), the drinks were good but odd (a Mexican beer with a Fernet Branca chaser). And on the TV: "The Creature Wasn't Nice." I don't know if some station was showing it or if it was a copy owned by the bar, but it was fun to see scenes from it again. I hadn't seen it in ages.

Well, I got a new cable modem/wireless router on Monday.  I just hooked it up and it works!  At least, the cable modem part.  Now that "America's Got Talent" is over, I'll string an Ethernet cable to my Blu-ray player to see if that works.

Tomorrow, I'll bring home my tablet to see if the wireless part works.  I won't be able to set up and test the wireless part until then.  But for now, I'm still connected to the Interwebs. :)

Streaming to my Blu-ray player works!!  I've always had trouble with any kind of router before and now I can watch Netflix movies AND be on my computer at the same time!

Ah, Queen with Freddie Mercury.  What an entertainer!

Loving the lively posts -- the zucchini was a crack up as for the black burger -- OY!

BK thanks for posting the videos.  Such a talented group of artists!  My heart is still smiling  :D
