And the word of the day is: ALEATORY!
Happy to have DR GINNY and DH RICHARD home.....thanks for sharing your trip with us!
And the word of the day is: ALEATORY!
BK, had to look up the word of the day -- relating to luck and especially to bad luck.
Those words "bad luck" quickly brought back a memory from Hee Haw!
"Gloom, despair and agony on me-e!
Deep dark depression, excessive misery-y!
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all!
Gloom, despair and agony on me-e-e!"
;D :D ;D :D ;D
Welcome back, Ginny!
Something good vibes for DR ELMORE.
Welcome back, Ginny!
Thanks, DR FJL!
Welcome home, DR Ginny and DH Richard!!
I know the feeling -- this is my best friend in the kitchen!
It isn't that far down for you, Jane.
Jane why are you having such trouble bending down.? What did you do to your hip.
I do not remember if I welcomes Ginny and Richard back hoem but just in case.... welcome home!@
I have never been toa UPick (except for pumpkins) they used to be all over the place here but the farms have all turned into office blocks, shopping malls and neighborhoods...
Back from some lunch - once again the Hamburger Hamlet - ate too much, but boy was it all good. To start I had the side of Those Potatoes (hash browns with sour cream and green onions), then the California Market Salad (smaller than before, but that's a good thing), and for dessert an oldie but goodie Hamlet tradition making its return - egg custard Lulu. I've figured out almost all the songs for the next show.
There are a number of U pick places here - I've seen strawberries, asparagus, pumpkins, different fruit trees and probably more
The Roosevelts starts on PBS tonight here.
My brother went to The University of Miami for awhile. That was when Hee Haw was on the air. He used to watch it and tell everyone that's what it was like back home in Iowa. Some people actually believed him, lol
Jeanne - are you a memeber of Costco? We are very pleased with the specs we get there - LendCrafters wanted over $600 for my progressive lens eyeglasses -( I have astigmatism and a very strong prescription) - and that was AFTER the 30% AAA discount - I paid less than $200 for glasses at Costco and they are wonderful
Vixdad and the Vixter also wear glasses and also have difficult prescriptions - we now pay less for all three of us than we used to for just one of us and we have all been very satisfied with the glasses
It's so nice to have cool air (from the outside). My a/c is to be fixed on Tuesday.
The Youth Orchestra of San Antonio was performing in the larger theater and I was able to sneak in to see their version of Peer and the Wolf, which was well played and enormously entertaining. They closed out with a tango from Astor Piazzolla complete with youth chorus.
Anyone travel to Long Island to attend performances from the Star Playhouse at the Suffolk Y? My friend, Lois and her hubby, Sid work behind the scenes -- mostly on the sets. Excellent shows are upcoming: http://starplayhouse.com/
I am trying to find a car rental in Chicago for October goodness gracious they want more for 3 1/2 days for a "economy" car than we paid for 10 days for a 4x4 double cab truck in Canada
I never knew they had a theatre in the Y

I've had the best luck with Hotwire and Priceline -- name your own prices. I first do research on the going rate. If that fails, I use Enterprise with a discount code from -- http://www.couponcabin.com/ or http://www.couponmountain.com/ -- however, the latter is updating their website. And last, but not least, I use my local AAA -- always have discounts and coupons.

Here are the next two shows -- I loved Jekyll & Hyde the first go around --- Robert Cuccioli still makes my heart pitter patter. I couldn't believe when the PTB recorded the Hasselhoff version for release on DVD.
Back, from a nearly fourteen-hour day at the theater.
Which I believe is quite enough for one day. Yes sirree.
thank you! I actually just tried Kayak and got a price on a car from Alamo then I tried Priceline and they accepted my offer - and I ended up with the exact same car and its from Alamo and I saved $100 from the initial "bargain" price -
I'll have to check them out I wonder how old you have to be to get the senior price(and if they proof) LOL
The Roosevelts starts on PBS tonight here.
Today was well over 100 degrees and at nine-thirty at night it is a sweltering 93 in the City of Studio. I am quite ready for this to abate, but we're in for an entire week of it - not cooling off till Friday, IF it cools off.
And now, I must be off. I'm going to my sister's and we're going to watch the latest Captain America movie. She just got it from Netflix.
Until later. :)

Vibes and much love to Cilla.
Sometimes it feels like life is piling on too much garbage at once. But if anyone has the strength and smarts to come out of it on top, that's you.
DR Cilla what station is "The Roosevelts: An Intimate History" on? I set my DVR for this, however, it says coming soon to PBS.
It was in the 70s yesterday and in the 80s today. Felt like a nice break.
and a Happy 21st Birthday to you Tommy
