Well, you've read the notes, the notes were bewitched and Tabithad, and now it is time for you to post until the bewitched cows come home.

The real reason why the first pilot didn't sell is that they changed the name of the character.

She was TabAtha instead of TabItha

And a very special thank you to our host and dear friend, BK!

And good morning, all!  I have to work on my apartment today. I'm bringing books home from the office and I've no place to put them until I create some more space. I need to take my work area apart and completely rethink shelves and what's on them. This will hopefully offer me a chance to organize that section better.

Tonight, I will have dinner with my friend Bruce Pomahac, Until then, I'll wrk on the apartment and see what fresh hell rolls down the pike today.

Thank you, all, for the birthday greetings!

I loved reading about the TABATHA/BEWITCHED event.  I bought the DVD set that includes MR BK's pilot a few years ago.....and it is most enjoyable.  I liked the series....although mostly I liked Robert Urich.

I always kind of thought Adam would have been a better leading character for the series so that it could really go in a reverse BEWITCHED direction.....Lisa Hartman is okay....but she certainly is no Elizabeth Montgomery personality-wise or comedy-wise.....

WELL.....I must say that we had our best (and biggest) audience yet last night.  And the show was really terrific.  There are some slow spots due mostly to one particular person....but everyone else works at getting the pace up....so we are mostly forgiven.

AND I got applause TWICE during my scene and lots and lots of laughs which is always fun.  I added a couple of bits last night - of course I let Sheridan know, since any kind of change always leaves him at a loss - and both landed.

I am hoping there will be video evidence....time will tell.

From DR Bway:
Quote
Just finished my fourth week at the new job.  Still pinching myself.  It's been ages since I've had a kind employer.  The company is owned by a husband and wife -- she was a high school classmate.  They are thrilled to have me as a part of their team

You are very, very lucky :)

From what I can tell the major employer in Weed, the town that lost 150 building over the border from us, is a wood mill.  They are sending a good number of their employees to work in Oregon.  They will be paid whichever job was at the highest level, be it their job in California or Oregon.  Others will remain in Weed to repair the mill.  Those who won't have work will receive unemployment.  Best of all, all those who lost their homes will be found temporary housing by the mill.

Yes, I did indeed miss our DR George! This is most embarrassing. Maybe senility smacks you on the side of the head as soon as you pass 67?

Thank you, DR George!

I'm not even 50 and senility's already started smacking me. ::)

Congrats, Jrand!! :D

I had to pop in to wish a
Happy Birthday to DR Elmore!
I hope it's a joyous celebration day for you!

The Bewitched gathering sounds like it was fun. I loved that show.

I'm running amok amok amok this weekend, rehearsing the 29 hour reading of Where's Charley?, which performs Sunday night, and prepping for Ragtime which begins Monday. All I need it a maid and a laundry goddess. And a food shopper. And a winning lotto ticket to be able to pay them. Happy to be busy finally.   :D

Had a little hiccup this morning - a wire transfer that should have been made by the time I got up hadn't shown up, so I wrote the folks and they thought they'd paid it back on the tenth - but their system had put in the wrong invoice number into their computer, even though the wire on the tenth had the correct invoice for that payment.  In fact, their system had put in two wrong invoice numbers for that payment, including one that's not even due for another two weeks.  So, we got it all straightened out quickly as to what was paid back on the tenth and what was due today, and he got it done within five minutes, so whew!

No luck on finding the scissors yet.

DR Jane, no my nieces have not been over.  But they would not have touch them.  These are huge scissors. Not something you'd even think you could lose.

It is always strange to lose something like that.  Just don't stab yourself when you find them in an unusual place.

Yes. I'm meeting my friend Bruce Pomahac at the wonderful restaurant Good Enough To Eat.

I got a nice birthday phone call from Rob Berman this afternoon and a call from my adopted son Joshie.  Rob is in San Diego until early November with this Steve Martin bluegrass show Bright Star. I need to remind Jason to try to get to the Old Globe to see it.

Back a few months ago, I found out Ray Courts was doing a new celebrity show back in Burbank.  We chatted via e-mail and I told him I'd love to do it.  He wrote right back, saying he'd get back to me in a week.  But I never heard back from him.  Thankfully I got an e-mail about the show today and I'm on the list as being there.  It's tonight and tomorrow.  Obviously can't do tonight, but since I've already been at the Bewitched show, I'll simply do the Courts show from about ten to four, then go back to the Bewitched show.  What fun!

I wouldn't care if i lost a pair of regular scissors. But these are special scrapbooking ones that I need to work on my scrapbooking.  They are twice as long as regular scissors. So you'd think it would be very hard to lose them.

They look like this:

So, for DR Laura, the dinner report:
We began with drinks; Bruce had Tanqueray and I had gin and tonic. Then we began with delicious, flakey fried onion rings.  Really quite wonderful.

Bruce had the turkey dinner: turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, and corn; and I had meatloaf, green salad, mashed potatoes and gravy. Very wonderful.

For dessert, Bruce had a slice of coconut cake, and I had a huge 4-layered pumpkin ginger spice cake with a cream cheese frosting that was scrumptious beyond belief. I wish I had a slice for breakfast!

Thanks, I'm lucky indeed!

My heart goes out to the folks of Weed.  I couldn't imagine such devastation.  Thank goodness there are kind neighbors in Oregon.

In past episodes  we learned that Vixmom and Vixdad , on the day they returned from Canada, visited the local At & T store where they reactivated Vixdad's phone which had NOT been lost and/or stolen at the security checkpoint at LaGuardia airport but rather had spent the vacation alone and forlorn at home where Vixdad had forgotten it

Upon arriving at the At & T  the young man, (we'll called him Sean as that indeed was the name on his name tag) advised the Vixfolks that they were able to "upgrade" their phones

Since the phones were about 5+ years old they were quite pleased with this information

They were less than pleased to learn that each "free" phone would require a $40 upgrade charge.  Vixmom expressed her displeasure but  Vixdad wanted the new phones

Vixdad also  decided to add a mobile hotspot to the plan so he could use his laptop on the train... we were told that the hotspot  device would cost an additional $20 a month and of course there would be another $40 upgrade fee

so while Vixmom was expecting an additional $140 to be added to our usual bill she  was shocked when the ebill was delivered  it was for  over $508

It turns out that the phone plan did not cover use in Canada - it only covered calls TO Canada from the US  which means that  about $100 in roaming and out of area calls were also charged to the bill

well Wed Vixmom & Vixdad spent about 2 hours on the phone with "Marlon"  who promised to look into it and see if there was anything that could be done to reduce the bill

He promised to look into it with his manager and to call back on Thursday night between 7:30 - 8  so the Vixfolks  cam e home and waited and waited and waited for the call

finally about  9:45 PM Marlon called to say that the whole new Iphone 6 had thrown the place into turmoil and he hadn't gotten the proper sign offs from his manager.  But he promised to call Friday

So today  Marlon called and announced that since we had been such long term customers  nearly 30  years, and in all that time we never had a late payment he had managed to get us a credit --- of over $300!!
Title: Re: BEWITCHED, BEWITCHED
Post by: vixmom on September 19, 2014, 07:53:16 PM
he also manged to upgrade our plan so that our 4 shared phones and hot spot now have unlimited  minutes of talk time and unlimited texting  and its about  $20 over the payments we had before

so the saga has ended, and a much much better ending that either of us had anticipated

I want that pumpkin cake and I don't care what meal you serve it to me.

Enjoyed your book-promotion clip, John G. I would have liked to have heard more from you and Bonnie, but it's still good plug for the book.

Thank you, everyone. I wish I had the stomach to watch it. All I did was hear my voice while someone else saw it and it was enough to turn me off. Maybe tomorrow.

I was really blown away  the best I was hoping for was that they would waive the uprade fees or waive the roaming charges -  they waived everything!

Tonight at movie night my friends wrapped up a bunch of "cool stuff" they didn't want anymore and had us each pick out a gift.   I am now the proud owner of a very well done and framed paint by number painting of The Last Supper.   I actually like it

It has been thundering here for a long time.  Boo gets scared every once in a while and wants me to hold her.  Then she gets brave and wanders back, then runs back and wants me to hold her.  It's pretty cute

My parents asked me to record it for them, but they asked after the first episode, so I missed it.  I just looked (again) on OnDemand and it's there!  I can record it from that.

Well, I see it's now after midnight in my time zone.  And that means, 13 years ago today -- my dear Mom lost her battle with cancer.  I don't like to post pictures of myself online, but this was one of my favorites and the last picture we took together.  We were celebrating my birthday.  Miss You Mom!
