Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of a return, and now it is time for you to post until the returning cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FAINEANT!
-
"By the Sea" was very funny!
-
Wow...the way Emma plays the scene right after "Not While I'm Around" when she decides to let Toby make the pies...very powerful.
-
You can actually watch "Sweeney Todd" on PBS's website here: http://video.pbs.org/video/2365329433/
I had to log in to be able to watch it in hi-def, and I don't know how long it's be available, but you can watch the whole thing on-line.
:D

The choral concert last night was excellent, and when I got home I confirmed that the DVR had recorded Sweeney. So I'm good to go! :)
-
On tap this morning: breakfast with a friend from NYC who happens to be in the area.
-
There is an Estate Sale going on next door today and tomorrow. We don't know quite what to expect, but guessing that there will be a lot of extra cars and traffic. They're supposed to be handing out "numbers" at 8:00am. Will there be a line down the block? Who knows?
-
The DD appears to be just about wholly back to normal. Whether he picked up a bug at the kennel or just had a psychotic break, we're not sure - but we know one thing: we will never be boarding him again!

I'm not sure whether I'll be able to even check in here tomorrow, so wishing an early happy birthday to John G!
Or how about a happy birthday weekend!
Really enjoying "Barbecue Lover's Texas."

Good morning, all! I wanted to sleep in, but I had a phone call at 7:30 from a twit dialing a wrong number.
I'm experimenting with this lactose intolerant idea, so this morning I have had a cup of coffee with soy milk and a cup with almond milk. Soy wins!
At noon, I am having lunch with friends, and after that, who knows.
Now, about this PBS censorship: when the San Francisco Symphony concert of SWEENY TODD with Patti Lupone and George Hearn was shown on PBS several years ago, nothing was censored or bleeped. Does this mean a terrified PBS is kissing up to the far right idiots?
-
Regarding bleeping the "S" word, if that were the case, they wouldn't have shown "Sweeney Todd" at all, with its very mature subject matter and graphic elements. We are more sensitive in 2014 than we were in earlier times, and that's not PBS's fault. (Editing Downton Abbey, though, is another matter that i don't understand.)
It seems like ever since that famous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, and the government getting involved with fines and punishment in a way that dismayed so many people, the broadcasters have felt forced to be careful. Why not celebrate that PBS is bringing us this type of event at all?
-
And for those on other boards who bring up the "Dance Ten, Looks Three" number on the Marvin Hamlisch celebration, to me that number felt like an attempt at comedy that just didn't work somehow. They could have just avoided "Dance Ten Looks Three" entirely.

This "sensitivity" excuse is ludicrous. Why not celebrate the fact that censorship in any form is not to be tolerated?

My opinion is that it would be lovely for broadcasters to have great courage and take those risks, but I think blame goes to the government for scaring the broadcasters into leaving out certain specific words and images. I don't think the broadcasters are to blame for not risking being punished or having to defend themselves against fines, like others have been.
However, the bleep sound they used was not the way to go, i agree with those who hated that sound

Just got an email that my Amazon review of "Barbecue Lover's Texas" is now up and live on the Amazon site.

Good morning, all.
Got enough hours of sleep, but can't help but think that the Chinese army must have been marching over me all night.
Coffee!
-
I DVR'd Sweeney, but won't have a chance to sit down and watch it for a couple of days.
-
The sun is shining. We were supposed to have clouds and rain. But what do we get-- sunshine. >:(
-
This is great to even know they count stuff like this - the Amazon page calls my review of Dearest Enemy "the most helpful favorable review" of that CD, with 17 of 17 people finding it helpful.
-
I enjoyed SWEENEY TODD. I thought the Anthony and Joanna were the weakest links.....and there was that miscast useless lump of Tony-winning flesh that everyone thinks they can't do a show without.....but I actually thought the staging was good. The ensemble was good as well.
Emma Thompson was on the money - maybe not vocally - but acting wise.....and I liked Terfel, too. Some funny bits here and there....that helped relieve the unrelenting darkness....
The Hearn-Lansbury version is so ingrained in my brain, it is difficult to see anyone else, but this was fun and certainly - to paraphrase DR GINNY - not as bad as it could have been.
-
Hmmmm......meeting celebrities....well they don't often come to Indiana....and I don't get out much....but:
I enjoyed meeting MR BK and DR CHARLES EDWARD POGUE when they traveled here a few years ago.
Jane Powell was very nice when my sister and I saw her in a stock version of 7 Brides for 7 Brothers many years ago....she had a bunch of little dogs with her, and one of them peed on my shoe....but that was okay.
But my favorite was when Donna Douglas came to town. She wore her hair Elly Mae style and was just so much fun talking to everyone and signing photos and getting her picture taken. I happened to bring her a photo that Nancy Kulp had sent me which she liked...."Bless her heart" she said....and I gave her a photo book of her appearance in THE TWILIGHT ZONE...which she had never seen....
-
Here is photographic evidence of the meeting....

-
She had on tons of WHITE makeup....and she was freaked out by an Elvis impersonator who wanted his photo with her....and she almost didn't do it...but finally did....
After learning more about her relationship with Elvis - it was a wonder she didn't slap his face.
She wasn't very tall....maybe 5'....and still had a nice slender figure. As Jonathan Winters used to say: "Not much upstairs...but from there down...gangbusters!"
-
I have to get ready for lunch. I'm meeting friends here:
http://www.oceangrill.com

Looks like a nice place DR ELMORE....I need new glasses though....I thought the menu said Day Old Fries......but it was Old Bay Fries....

good morning to all
-
Saturday morning greetings! We have two football games to watch later - Michigan/Minnesota at 3:30 and Cincinnati/Ohio State at 6:00. After last week's performance, Michigan was demoted from ABC to ESPN2. We're having a homemade pizza party during the later game and hoping the Bearcats can pull off an upset.
Go, Blue! Go, Bearcats!

BK
Can you post that internet trailer you mentioned in the notes?

TOD
Working in film and TV in Montreal I had the opportunity to meet many many people.
At the top of my list
Christopher Reeve
Angela Lansbury
Genevieve Bujold
Michael York
and never worked with but
Stephen Sondheim
Jerry Herman
Jason Graae
Liz Callaway
Alex Rybeck
Larry Moore
and of course Mr. Bruce Kimmel who I first met in the audience at Hairspray.
-
My advance copies of ROBERTA just arrived!
-
TOD - Some of my favorite celebrity encounters have been with authors:
Amy Tan
Susan Vreeland
David Pogue
Mary Doria Russell
-
TOD:
I don't know if walking all the way up the aisle of the Norris Theatre at USC next to Orson Welles (ca-1981) can be considered an "encounter", since no words were exchanged, but it sure was a memorable celebrity moment. His entourage was all around, but I managed to fit in right next to him for those few minutes, long enough for a good close look and a good close listen to that voice, and to savor the "presence".
Getting Alfred Hitchcock's autograph following the premiere of FAMILY PLOT in Century City, just before his people hustled him out and away from other autograph seekers, was quite the thrill.
Edit: BK, did you by any chance attend that?
A nice memory from another former life is driving tenor Richard Tucker from the Hollenden House Hotel in downtown Cleveland out to Severance Hall for a rehearsal of our concert performance of Verdi's DON CARLO, ca-1970. Several of us were chosen to carry out such duties, and of those of mine that I recall, that one's the biggie. He sat in the borrowed station wagon, bundled up to the hilt against getting any kind of a chill, and was polite but said nary a word for the entire ride. I'm just thankful I got him there alive.

I am so pleased to hear he is on the mend --- what a scare you have had!
-
Well my encounters with Mr Larry Moore, Mr Bruce Kimmel, Mr Skip Kennon and Mr Fred Landau have been high points that I treasure and I continue to feel fortunate that they allow me to share in their lives
-
for those "one off" meetings I would have to say
George Takei who spent about a half hour in a conversation with the Vixter and myself after a lecture he gave at I-CON
A very nice man and I have developed a great respect for him after that conversation
Sylvester McCoy and Nichelle Nichols were also fun to chat with
DR Pogue's close and personal friend, Harlan Ellison was a hoot

I had to log in to be able to watch it in hi-def, and I don't know how long it's be available, but you can watch the whole thing on-line.

Hopefully they will repeat it sometime soon. Or I suppose I can buy the DVD (during the next Pledge Drive).

George could you please add me to your little list?

I know it is not "Ask BK Day". But I came home from a meeting this morning to find Vixdad watching Penn & Teller's Bull*bleep* this morning, specifically the episode where you are putting snails on people. He asked where it was filmed

The ones that come to mind immediately for the TOD:
Among mainly-theater celebrities, a person I'd so greatly admired before I'd gotten to meet her, and actually having the joy of getting to work with, is Rebecca Luker on a reading and demo recording of a character based on a story I'd created, on the show-in-progress "Tangled Webs"; and among nationally famous celebrities, Jim Lehrer, as we develop a musical based on his novel "Viva Max!."
On the workshop front, the ones I think of as widely-known celebrities are Maury Yeston, Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz and Joe Masteroff when they were teachers at the musical theater workshops.
Among people with no work connection, I'd say Joyce Brothers and Andy Rooney, whom I'd talked with a lot and met during law school days - just a thrill to have ongoing chats with both of them.
And of course, meeting Bruce Kimmel and Larry Moore on the chat boards.
-
Well my encounters with Mr Larry Moore, Mr Bruce Kimmel, Mr Skip Kennon and Mr Fred Landua have been high points that I treasure and I continue to feel fortunate that they allow me to share in their lives
I feel so privileged to be included on such a list!!!

Good Morning Dear Readers!
Thanks for the kind words about the family photos I posted the other night. September is a sentimental month as it's the anniversary of Mom's passing and my dear Nephew's birthday.
Completed the first billing cycle at the new office yesterday -- still happy! :D
Enjoyed Sweeney Todd -- loved the style change at the beginning. Pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face in the Ensemble -- Ron Sharpe. Not sure, if he enjoyed his close shave! Many moons ago, Ron played Marius in a Les Mis tour and was a frequent chatter on the prodigy musical boards.
Hope you all enjoy the weekend. The temps have finally cooled down on the west coast -- cracks me up -- a week ago it was 100 degrees and now it's in the low 80's! :)

Today is the last day of Banned Books Week. Why not use Sweeney as a means of showing the ignorance of such censorship. Was the line cut in the high school version of the play? I don't think so. The high school version of Bonnie and Clyde I saw earlier this year left all of the cursing in, and no one was shocked.

Audra? She had been a part of the show the last time they did with Patti and George. But she couldn't make the taping, so they did it with Elmore's least favorite piece of Tony-winning flesh, Victoria.

Hello, everyone.
-
Larry, you said your brothers have gotten realistic about selling the property. Has it actually been listed now?
Vibes this moves swiftly!
-
The DD appears to be just about wholly back to normal. Whether he picked up a bug at the kennel or just had a psychotic break, we're not sure - but we know one thing: we will never be boarding him again!
Sing, this sounds like an incident I had with my dog once. Many years ago I had to go to Europe on business. I was living in San Diego at the time, and my parents were in LA. Instead of flying out of San Diego, I drove--with the dog-- up to LA, left the dog with my parents, while I flew out of LA. It seemed like a really practical option. I was gone about two weeks. When I got back to LA, however, my parents were very upset. Pasha had stopped eating and was lethargic. They'd taken her to a vet, but the vet could find nothing wrong. She perked up when she saw me and once we were home she was fine.
I know this may sound silly, but in my rush to catch the plane I'd neglected to talk to her and tell her I'd be back and this was just temporary. I do feel there's a lot of communication between pets and their owners, and I try to always have this little talk. Animals suffer separation anxiety, just like people do. Well, dogs, anyway.

I'm experimenting with this lactose intolerant idea, so this morning I have had a cup of coffee with soy milk and a cup with almond milk. Soy wins!
Many people have trouble using soy milk in coffee because it doesn't have the same texture as cow's milk. Glad it works for you.
As someone with a lot of allergies, I've given up many foods. It's a nuisance at first, but it's sooo nice to NOT have the allergic reactions! My diet may be unusual, but it works for me and it's just a lot easier.

Larry, you said your brothers have gotten realistic about selling the property. Has it actually been listed now?
Vibes this moves swiftly!
DR Jeanne, rhey listed it four years ago after refusing to meet with the broker i'd been speaking to. And . . . they listed it at too high a price. That's why it never moved.

And I am home. It's a lovely restaurant. The food and staff were wonderful.
We began with the shrimp lobster spring rolls, and I had the crab BLT and parmesan-truffle fries.
Ned had the seafood cobb salad and his mother had fish and chips.
-
DR John G, yes, holding the CDs was indeed a thrill! I'm listening to it now. I'm very happy with the recording.
I think I need a nap.
BTW, I also think Audra, like Ms Clark, is a frighteningly overrated performer, but I don't think she has the "I'm not the star I deserve to be, dammit" chip on the shoulder or "see how hard I'm working" attitude I get from Ms Clark.

TTFN. A great weekend to all!

TOD:
Without question, it was Jimmy Durante.
He was also the first celebrity I ever met. I was 9 or 10 years old. My folks had taken me on vacation to Los Angeles, and we were dining at the House of Murphy restaurant.
Durante was seated in the booth across from us, and when I went to ask for his autograph he was so nice; sat me on his knee and talked with me for several minutes.
There will never be another like him.

The weather today is gloriously warm and sunny. I just went for a bike ride in a tank top and shorts (which i had to get out since i'd already put all my shorts away). i love this weather!

Absolutely.
Also, did you want a copy of when Barbra Streisand was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon...or was it someone else? I don't remember.

Today is my sister's 50th birthday! The first plan was that the whole family would have dinner at the Space Needle's SkyCity Restaurant (http://www.spaceneedle.com/information/)...it's terribly expensive! I've never been. However a few days ago, my sister said that they didn't get reservations in time. And now, I still won't go. :P So, then the plan was to go to another restaurant in Seattle and go on the Seattle Great Wheel (http://seattlegreatwheel.com/)! Tickets for that are only $13. But now that's not even happening. My sister told me but from cell phone to cell phone, I couldn't really understand what she said. Anyway, we're all going to Anthony's HomePort (https://www.anthonys.com/restaurants/detail/anthonys-homeport-olympia/) here in Olympia. It'll be good, just as exciting as it could've been.
-
Of course, it's not my birthday, so I really don't have anything to complain about. ;)
-
From DR Jennifer:
We had a big family dinner for Rosh Hashanah. So much yummy food. Potato knishes. Bean and barley soup with meat (this is one of my absolute favorite homemade soups). Brisket. Bean salad. Brownies. Yum.
Keith loves bean and barley soup, without meat.
Growing up I went to Services, however my family did not have special meals for the holidays. Keith's family had the dinners but didn't go to services.

Best of wishes to the DS of DR George on this LANDMARK birthday day!
-
She had on tons of WHITE makeup....and she was freaked out by an Elvis impersonator who wanted his photo with her....and she almost didn't do it...but finally did....
After learning more about her relationship with Elvis - it was a wonder she didn't slap his face.
She wasn't very tall....maybe 5'....and still had a nice slender figure. As Jonathan Winters used to say: "Not much upstairs...but from there down...gangbusters!"
She had a relationship with Elvis!?!

Seattle's GREAT WHEEL looks a lot like the LONDON EYE. Sorry you didn't get to go today, DR George, but I imagine you will sometime soon!
-
The London Eye moves so slowly that a trip around the wheel takes about half an hour or more. No complaints, as you get to linger over that view!
-
However, I did find that mirrors on poles that they used to check around each car (in an attempt to prevent terrorism) a bit alarming!
-
The Estate Sale next door wasn't too disruptive. A lot more traffic and parking on our street today, but no crowds or lines-down-the-block types of activity. I looked out the window right around 8:00am (when they were supposed to start distributing numbers) and didn't see a large crowd. But it does appear that there are a substantial number of people whose weekend entertainment is to scour the ads and tour the yard/tag sales and estate sales.
-
FOUR, by the way. :)
-
Thanks again for everyone's supportive comments about the dog!

Thanks, Singdaw!
-
Well, time for me to go. I'm going to my sister's house before the restaurant to hang out. We'll see what happens after the restaurant.
Have a good day, all!
-
...it's terribly expensive!
I just took a gander at the menu.
Wow! It certainly is! :)
-
Thanks again for everyone's supportive comments about the dog!
That is because he isn't "just" a dog ;)

Happy 50th birthday to the dear sister of DR George.
Today is my youngest's 35th. 35, how did that happen!
-
My advance copies of ROBERTA just arrived!
Huzzah! Can't wait for a listen when it hits the street.
And if you hadn't gone west, you might have been on it!
-
And that, children, is called laying guilt.

And that, children, is called laying guilt.
Gather round, children, and learn from a pro. ;D
-
Well my encounters with Mr Larry Moore, Mr Bruce Kimmel, Mr Skip Kennon and Mr Fred Landau have been high points that I treasure and I continue to feel fortunate that they allow me to share in their lives
I feel so privileged to be included on such a list!!!
-
You can actually watch "Sweeney Todd" on PBS's website here: http://video.pbs.org/video/2365329433/
I had to log in to be able to watch it in hi-def, and I don't know how long it's be available, but you can watch the whole thing on-line.
:D
Hopefully they will repeat it sometime soon. Or I suppose I can buy the DVD (during the next Pledge Drive).
or as we call them - Begathons
"Whining for Dollars" in our house.
I may have to steal that!
-
Happy Birthday to the Sister of DR GEORGE.
-
So glad to hear about the road to recovery for DD ZACH.
-
DR JANE - Elvis had his customary "leading lady" romance with Miss Donna, who for some reason took it much more seriously than she should have....and was shocked to get a cease and desist letter from The Colonel....
-
DR TCB - said Tony-Award winner is well-liked by many many persons....as is the irritating hostess of the program from last night....so let's just say - I am expressing only my own opinion.
-
Nice restaurant report from DR ELMORE....
Crabs self-amputate, you know.
I learned that from watching a movie titled A.C.O.D. [Adult Children of Divorce] - which is very funny and which I recommend if you are looking for something to kill 90 minutes or so.
It features Jane Lynch and Catherine O'Hara in fine supporting roles.....

A letter from The Colonel, charming.
-
George could you please add me to your little list?
Absolutely.
Also, did you want a copy of when Barbra Streisand was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon...or was it someone else? I don't remember.
George
I would love the Barbra/Jimmy Fallon show if it is not too much trouble
-
I've been tracking the National's game since Craig is celebrating his birthday there. Unless they are playing the Phillies he roots for them. They just won :)
-
DR JOHN G they must have been her companions on that tour....1975 or 1976.
-
But you're not that old.....hmmm......
-
The Colonel was a classy gent.
NOT
-
I don't know if it is my laptop or the site but it is certainly dragging when I refresh or post
-
Good evening! That reminds me---how great that you got Alfred Hitchcock's autograph, DR ChasSmith!
-
TOD: Of course, our own BK! And Mr. BB. And I'd have to say Lynn Redgrave at the Broadway Flea Market Photo Booth.
-
Wow, Doc Martin could use some training in beside manor!

LOL-THAT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

We sent our sweet little 5 year old Elinor, whom Bruce met in Portland and entertained with his phone app, a doll house. She loved it and said she needed to send us a thank you card. Awww. Her mother sent photos :) Now that we know she likes the house we will send a few extras to go with it. I'm searching for those now.
She needs a baby doll since her mother is about to deliver a real baby any day. It is a good thing I did my research first or I might have ordered the baby furniture set that does not include a baby doll. In fact the only place I can find the set with a baby is at a local store. I have them holding it for me since they only have one set.

Vixmom, I can't remember what mall that was - but it was a bit of a drive, that much I remember - nowhere near me.

Back from the Courts show.
-
Second day (the long day) at the Ray Courts Celebrities Fan Fest was, for me, a lot of fun. As an event it was a bit of a disaster in terms of attendance - very, very light, perhaps the worst attended celebrity show ever. Apparently there were one or two other events today and that was probably a problem. But I hope Ray sticks with it, because frankly he's the only one who really knows how to do these things and who actually respects the celebrities and everyone I chatted with HATES the people who do the other show, Ray's old show. I sold some books, some Blu-rays, some CDs and some photos today, all good.
But the real highlights were chatting with the wonderful Diane Baker and Millie Perkins (we were all in the same row) and Don Murray. I'd actually never met Mr. Murray before, but I finally got to tell him the story that back in 1971 I'd written a musical version of To Kill a Mockingbird, which I called Atticus. My new agent at CMA (now ICM), Frank Levy, loved it, we did a little homegrown reading, and then he actually got a theater (Seattle, I think, or maybe San Francisco) to agree to produce it - and he got us Don Murray to commit to playing the lead. It didn't happen because, of course, I'd never actually gotten the rights to do the adaptation and when we went to Harper Lee, she ultimately said no - she actually loved my songs, but just didn't want it to be a musical and she was probably right in that. Don remembered all of that, the minute I told him. So much fun. Most beautiful woman in the room - Mariel Hemingway, looking incredible. I won't go into the most horrifying, but the person it was was a winner by a country mile - so much plastic surgery that you would never have recognized this person in a million years and I"ll just leave it at that - unless someone guesses :)
I do have photos and we'll put them up in the notes.
-
Vixmom, I can't remember what mall that was - but it was a bit of a drive, that much I remember - nowhere near me.
thanks - He was hysterically laughing at the bit
-
I think the slowness was me --- I just cleared out my history cache and the laptop seems to be running much faster

I guess my most memorable celebrity is Ray Bradbury, though he didn't feel like a celebrity. He and my uncle were in the same high school class. I sat with one of his daughters on the bus to high school, for the short period I actually road the bus.
He is the most memorable because I met him on multiple occasions and he was simply a nice, warm person.
-
Checking a quick list....I would guess MR BK is writing about Miss Dyan Cannon.
-
DR Jane there was non-meat bean and barley soup too. But I absolutely love homemade bean and barley with fall off the bone meat in it. It was a big hit.
-
On my bike ride today I went down a street that I thought had a bike path. Well it has a bike path along the side of the road. But I guess for some reason they decided that this wasn't a real bike path anymore. And they took down the signs that said bike path/no stopping (but there is still a white line marking the path). It was so annoying because there were cars parked in the path. and I could not figure out why (it looks like it's a bike path). I wonder why the city did that. :(
-
For the TOD: I won't count anyone who I just said hi to (or who autographed something). I'll count those who I at least had a conversation with.
Ruthie Henshall. For quite a while she was my absolute favorite musical theatre actress. I was obsessed with her. I was so scared that if I met her that she would not possibly be as nice as I hoped that she would be. But she was absolutely lovely.

You didn't make your honey cake. I thought, not that it was for my family, honey cake was popular on Rosh Hashanah. The small market near us with the good bakery had samples of their honey cake today. It was good. Now I want to try your recipe. I had hesitated after I remembered I'm mildly allergic to honey.
-
I have not picked up any acorns today. I had better do so now.

I will be posting the movie marathon trailer at some point. Watching it, I only saw the problems - it's funny, but there were sound issues when we were both filming and in post and today those would be easy to fix in Pro Tools. I also want to do a hi-def of it so I think what will happen is I'll take it over to Foto-Kem, get the image done in hi-def (right now it's 4.3 letterboxed), and then get the sound into Pro-Tools and let my engineer fix it up. In the film noir spoof, for reasons I no longer remember, the gunshots are totally lame and our voices (Candy Clark and I) are slightly sped up so we sound about twelve. I'm hoping we can fix all that and I would also have Dave Strohmaier, who edited it, recreate the end titles so they're smooth and all spellings have been corrected.
-
Be the best that you can be.
-
Jrand is closing in on 60,000 posts.
-
Just watched MOONSTRUCK on Channel 13, and it, too, was censored. No beeps, just holes where the four-letter words had been. Still, I loved seeing it again. I hadn't seen it in around 20 years and I had forgotten how wonderful it is.
-
DR JOHN G they must have been her companions on that tour....1975 or 1976.
It was the same tour. Played the heartland.

I love Ruthie in "She Loves Me." There's a fragile quality that makes her heartbreaking.

I went to the Ray Courts website to see who else was there.
Who is Mr. Jim Forgetta who some of the celebrities were there through his courtesy?

Had a pre-birthday dinner with friends tonight. Went to a bar called Faust that serves up some wonderful lowcountry food, including great fried chicken, a collards samwich and fried shrimp and grits fritters.
Then we walked around the corner for a new New Orleans place. We started with shrimp and corn cake followed by a Creole-style pork schnitzel with crab meat on top. Excellent food. It made me very happy.
-
Sounds like a great pre-celebration, DR John G.!

BK, that was a tantalizing description of what must have been an amazing day. Looking forward to the notes, and to pictures.
-
I am sneezing and wheezing, my throat is sore and my ears are itching
I hope its allergies and not illness- I just bought tickets so the Vixter and I can see GWTW Wednesday and From Here to Eternity on Thursday
-
How goes the show Chas?
-
It goes well, I am happy and relieved to say. And now, to bed I must go. We just had two consecutive very good nights, and now we must all be fresh as daisies for a matinee tomorrow.
-
I might (or might not) go to the GONE WITH THE WIND, since I watched it just a few months ago. But if BALLYHOO friends decide to do it, then I might join them.
I don't know if we're getting FROM HERE TO ETERNITY. If we do, I could catch that one.
-
Sneezing, wheezing and sore throat BE GONE vibes to vixmom!!!
-
Well my encounters with Mr Larry Moore, Mr Bruce Kimmel, Mr Skip Kennon and Mr Fred Landau have been high points that I treasure and I continue to feel fortunate that they allow me to share in their lives
Well, I have met three out of four, and love the fourth like a brother; so I agree with you on them.
-
Had a delightful day with an old friend, lunched with Taco Salads and all the fixings! We shopped and then to a local park for hours of chit chatted -- temps in the high 70's with a breeze -- delightful indeed!
Hope all enjoyed this autumn day! :D
-
Good night, all.

Happy 50th birthday to the dear sister of DR George.
Today is my youngest's 35th. 35, how did that happen!
Thanks, Jane! And Happy Birthday to your youngest!

I think the slowness was me --- I just cleared out my history cache and the laptop seems to be running much faster
My browsers are set to automatically clear when I close them, so that shouldn't be my problem. :-\

Well, dinner at Anthony's HomePort was...not great. I had the Alaskan cod (fried in tempura) and fries. It was too greasy and the fries weren't fresh-out-of-the-fryer hot. I don't know if it was because they put the fish right on top of the fries and maybe they sat around a bit while other meals for our table were still cooking and the fries got steamed (not a euphemism) by the heat of the fish, or what, but it was all just okay. Fortunately, it wasn't terribly expensive as compared to some of the other meals. :P
-
I think most everyone else liked their food, so that's good. My sister did. :)
-
I was on FB a little earlier and I saw this ad! 10 points to anyone who can say why it's significant. ;)
-

I really want to see FHTE. I kind of want to see GWTW, but I probably won't. My niece would LOVE to see GWTW, but she has problems with her ears, so she can't.

I went to the Ray Courts website to see who else was there.
Who is Mr. Jim Forgetta who some of the celebrities were there through his courtesy?
Have no idea - probably a talent wrangler.

Back from a play and some supper.
