Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like a big burrito, stuffed with everything under the sun, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently eating a big MOOrito.
-
And the word of the day is: MATUTINAL!
-
A Very Happy Birthday to Doug R!! :D
-
He hasn't been around since January...I hope he's okay. :-\
-
DR Jane --
I laughed when I read your post from yesterday.
DR Bway the mouse didn't just walk up to me and climb up my arm, so relax a bit ;)
It was in a kitchen drawer munching on a wooden spoon at the same time I happened to reach in and pull the spoon out of the drawer. I was only an extension of the spoon and I assure you it was equally as frightened as I was.
We had an invasion of mice and none of them came close enough to climbing up us intentionally even when we saw them walking around the house. ;D
No spotting of mice today. Phew!
-
DR JR --
Well I won $500 on a lottery ticket, so I put most of it away to pay for a trip two of my sisters and I are planning for later this month.....I also want to buy a little this and that....so there you are.
Congrats on your lottery winnings! Woo Hoo!

Oh my, I'm so behind on reading posts from Thursday. But I shall read them all! :)
Six weeks into my new job -- loving it and already starting to feel contentment. Haven't had that feeling in years. So very grateful and blessed to be given this opportunity from my high school classmate. I've always been a numbers nerd and was able to clear up an issue with a delinquent vendor. :)
DR Singdaw -- first snow already -- Wow! In Central Cali -- once again in upper 90's! Loved the photos of the fur baby -- I'm such a mush for doggies!
DR Ginny -- sorry to hear From Here to Eternity was a bust. That's too bad!
DR Mike -- Thank goodness no surgery for the thyroid. Sending good vibes for MRI results. I too had a tear in my meniscus. Actually three of them, never needed surgery. Doctor prescribed Glucosamine Chondroitin & Calcium and physical therapy. Years later, no need for a cane and the tears fused together.
DR John G -- Sounds like you had a fascinating day!
DR George -- The show was kind of weird, the music was pretty repetitive, but maybe because most of the guys were very nice to look at, I could tolerate it.
I could easily invest in a pair of ear plugs for hunks on the big screen. I believe there is another showing in my area. LOL
-
BK -- have you survived The Big Burrito? Or do you need a little "plop plop, fizz fizz?"
Hope the situation gets resolved so you can slumber in dreamland!
-
On that note, I shall call it a night/day -- who knows at this hour! :)
-
GOOD MORNING TO ALL

Good morning, all.

Good morning, all! I was feeling puny this morning so I slept in.
At some point very soon, I will do the stairs routine, make a trip to the bank and market, climb the damned stairs and stay in the remainder of the day. I sent the landlord a terse email about the situation and the fact that I cannot get to the basement for laundry or to drop off the trash. The fact that the jerk elevator crew is taking their time on the lift only increases my anger; if it's not repaired today, they won't be back before Monday.
-
And the word of the day is: MATUTINAL!
And The Song Of The Day Is: GOOD MORNING
-
BK,
Thoroughly enjoyed your story about the burrito.
I'm sure that we would all appreciate it if you did not share the story's Dénouement.
:D
-
TOD:
No idea what I will be watching this weekend.
-
Wishing all who observe an easy fast for Yom Kippur tonight and tomorrow.
-
I think I hear workmen in the elevator shaft. Let's hope.
-
The advance wrd on ROBERTA so far has been good, so I hope that bodes well.
And if anyone wants to hear sound clips from the New World Records Dearest Enemy and my tasteful reconstruction, here's the site:

Good news DR Mike!

Friday morning greetings! Yesterday, while making our bed, I bent and reached in a way that caused a back spasm. Moving quite cautiously today...

You need my physical therapist! I am more limber now than I was 20 years ago, Unfortunately, I'm still a gimp, have n balance, and cannot walk without a cane.
But i'm limber!
-
DR Elmore, my current discomfort has made me think of you. For me, this usually passes after a few days, but gives me great empathy for people who deal with it chronically.
-
Let's turn this page...
-
PAGE TWO BIG BURRITO DANCE!!!
(http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a532/singdaw1/bigburrito_zpsbcf32ba6.jpg)
-
Well, let's push this page along.
-
I've heard no more noise from the lift, and that isn't positive.
-
I have not stepped out yet, but I need to.
-
And the elevator is running again. I'm off.
-
Glad to hear DR Elmore's elevator is operational again. Remember when we stayed in that 5th floor apartment in a one-elevator building? The lift had been repaired but hadn't been inspected yet and could not be used. Interesting few days...
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of blessed sleep with one long and involved dream that would have made an interesting movie and one short dream that wouldn't have but was interesting nonetheless.
-
Friday morning greetings! Yesterday, while making our bed, I bent and reached in a way that caused a back spasm. Moving quite cautiously today...
~~~No More Back Spasms Vibes for Ginny!!~~~
-
And the elevator is running again. I'm off.
Great news, Larry!
-
Topic of the Day:
In my CD player here at work: the brand news Kritzerland studio cast recording of And the World Goes Round! And, the original London cast recording of From Here To Eternity...yes, I'm going to listen to it again. ::)
;)
-
And I just got from the library: "Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix, Vol. 1 (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KLF5J64/)."
-
Back vibes for DR GINNY.
DR ELMORE is back in the elevator business....this is good news.
-
That looks like a fun CD there DR GEORGE.
-
A big round of vibes for all!!!!
-
DR Elmore, am glad your elevator is once again working. In my apartment building we are fortunate to have two elevators, so if one goes wonky, we have a spare.
-
TOD:
CD: Latest CD from Arabic pop singer Sabine
DVD: If my buddy Agustin comes over this weekend, I may make him watch the 1950s Mexican film SWAMP OF THE LOST MONSTERS so that he can translate it for me. ;D
DVR: Premier episode of A TO Z, as it co-stars my buddy Parvesh Cheena. Also, tonight's Amazing Race will record for weekend viewing.
-
Happy to say my copy of AND THE WORLD GOES ROUND was in the mailbox today! Now, when can I sit down and listen to it? Tomorrow? Sunday? Yikes. Well, soon!
-
I am nearing the end of the second disc of Roberta, and I can't seem to wipe this smile off my face. The whole thing has just made me giddy, Larry. The music soars, its sweeps, it swings.
Eileen was a revelation. Dearest Enemy was an old friend I only slightly knew from abridged recordings; and I was glad to make the relationship deeper. Roberta is joy, unalloyed joy.
-
I am certainly looking forward to hearing Roberta when it becomes available to us hoi polloi next week. :)
That's very kind. The mixing sessions were tough, and I really didn't know that it would come together so well. After the May mixing sessions I was convinced it was never going to pull together, but my Grammy-winner producer really pulled it together in the June session. I owe her an email to thank her, and if this is the end of recording for the foundation, I'm happy we're going out with a bang.
-
That looks like a fun CD there DR GEORGE.
It was part of the movie's plot and added a whole level of emotion to the movie...it actually was integral to the story.
-
Friday.
-
'nuff said, I think!
-
About the day of the week that it is...that is.
-
Am awaiting lunch. A co-worker is getting some Mexican to bring back to the office. She is picking up a Tampico Salad with chicken for me.
-
I hope DR TCB is feeling better today.
-
I hope DR vixmom got plenty of restful sleep last night.
-
Here's hoping that DR MBarnum's buddy Agustin remains his buddy after being pimped to translate "Swamp of the Lost Monsters".
-
My Friday evening will begin with a viewing of last night's "Pwoject Wunway".
I'm given to believe it will be awesomely rewarding.
-
And then a new episode of Giorgio Tsoukalos' "In Search of Ancient Aliens" (the season finale, alas).
-
Page 3.
Eureka!
-
Back from a productive lunch. Will now relax for the rest of the day and evening.
-
From DR Mike:
i am losing weight but hard to exercise
I'm glad you are losing weight. Even if you need surgery it will be helpful as you recover.
Oddly, Keith found the cross trainer was easier than walking or any other exercise.
-
From Bruce:
Jane, didn't see it - am I even a member of that group?
You are a member so I tagged you under comments.
-
Yes indeed the Project Wunway from last night is a wonderful example of comeuppance, Karma, and joy.
-
And the elevator is running again. I'm off.
Wonderful!!!
I've been seeing references to the "Broadway-bound" revival of CAN-CAN that opens this weekend at Papermill Playhouse. Any insights?
Yes, indeed! Happy Birthday FDR DougR. I believe he last posted in March. I hope all is well with him.
-
Oh, gosh, I hope DR DougR is doing well also.
-
Happy day today as I found a lovely mid century bedroom set on Craigslist. It will be delivered to me this evening!!
Finally, I will have a bedroom set that matches!
-
In less happy news, today's killing by that horrid ISIL group is just awful...well, all of their many killings are awful, but this poor chap killed today did so much to help raise money and risked his own life to help displaced people in Syria.
Just a simple taxi driver with a heart of gold who felt a need to help. There should be more people like him, and he has my utmost respect.
Here is his story of how he got involved and what all he was doing to help: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-29199086 (http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-29199086)
Watched a strange documentary about Carmen Miranda.
Feel better vibes for DR Ginny!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
DR Elmore that is good news that the elevator is working again!
-
I really wanted to go on a bike ride today. :(
And I won't get to go tomorrow (because of fasting and it will also be raining).
-
I have to get used to watching TAR on Fridays. It feels so odd!
Congrats, MBarnum! Enjoy your new bedroom set!
Did you start a fire under your bed once too often to attract the firemen?
-
I really wanted to go on a bike ride today. :(
And I won't get to go tomorrow (because of fasting and it will also be raining).
I hate when I can't get out before the weather turns and I am trapped.
Yes, ON THE TOWN is a possibility for next month. I'm just thinking ahead to spring...
Feel better vibes for DR Ginny!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks, DR Jennifer!
-
Are you any better Ginny? Just saying thanks makes me think not.
BACK VIBES!!!
-
Are you any better Ginny? Just saying thanks makes me think not.
BACK VIBES!!!
Thanks, DR Jane! I'm about the same and getting a lot of advice from the others in the household who've had the same thing. I'll give it the weekend and call the doctor if I'm not better by Monday.
-
And the elevator is running again. I'm off.
Yeah!
-
My Friday evening will begin with a viewing of last night's "Pwoject Wunway".
I'm given to believe it will be awesomely rewarding.
I'm a week behind in watching. Still bummed they said "auf Wiedersehen" to Sandhya -- I may be in the minority, but I enjoyed her use of color.
With a Tailor & Seamstress in the family background -- Kini Rocks!
-
Friday morning greetings! Yesterday, while making our bed, I bent and reached in a way that caused a back spasm. Moving quite cautiously today...
Sending well wishes and good vibes to DR Ginny!
-
I have to get used to watching TAR on Fridays. It feels so odd!
The TAR is a great show for Sunday nights -- perfect for relaxing and winding down the weekend. I've never forgiven CBS for ruining my Fridays when they canceled Joan of Arcadia! :-\
Not one for holding grudges, but won't watch CBS on Friday nights! Watching their shows on HuluPlus the following day -- don't count. LOL
-
Oh my DR Singdaw -- PAGE TWO BIG BURRITO DANCE!!!
It looks like a fusion of Burrito & Enchilada -- mighty yummy!
Or perhaps Chimichanga style!
-
Thank you, DR BwayAnge!
-
Glad to hear about the elevator being repaired, Elmore
-
I really wanted to go on a bike ride today. :(
And I won't get to go tomorrow (because of fasting and it will also be raining).
I hate when I can't get out before the weather turns and I am trapped.
Hopefully I should be able to go on Sunday and Monday.
Why is it I am so thirsty when I am not supposed to drink?
-
Because you are dehydrated.
-
No...because you want to do what you're not supposed to do.
;)
-
And now, it's time for me to leave work.
Until later.
-
I hope DR TCB is feeling better today.
Thank you, Ron. Better, but tired.
-
No...because you want to do what you're not supposed to do.
;)
I did drink a glass of water at dinner time.
-
I had my hairs cut today - I am pretty pleased with how it came out
-
where is everybody?
-
I hope TCB is feeling better
-
I wish an easy fast to all DRs who are observing Yom Kippur
-
Yeah, where is everybody?
-
It's been over 100 degrees most of this week. Outrageous. Yeah, there's nothing at all wrong with our little planet.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
It's been over 100 degrees most of this week. Outrageous. Yeah, there's nothing at all wrong with our little planet.
I know, ticks me off. Last week in the 80's and now back up to 100's! One last tease until the Fall!
-
I had my hairs cut today - I am pretty pleased with how it came out
I had mine cut and colored last week. It's always nice when all turns out great! :)
-
There is no fall.
-
Just as there seem to be no dear readers.
-
I found this link rather informative:
http://earthweareone.com/top-10-most-unhealthy-cancer-causing-foods/
Nix the processed microwave popcorn packet -- so easy to make it yourself -- brown bag & organic popcorn!
Put a tablespoon of regular popcorn kernels in a brown paper bag -- fold the top and place in microwave -- it's done when the kernels stop popping -- add your own butter, spices, etc inside the bag and shake.
Voila, healthy munchies!
-
I know how to clear a room!
-
Back from a not bad show, all things considered. A few bloopers here and there, but the audience was great.
-
This room has been pretty much clear for two weeks in the wee small hours of the evening.
-
Get me off this page.
-
Back from beautiful Kol Nidre services. The cellist that played the Bruch "Kol Nidre" was excellent, as was the cantor and professional choir.
-
Wishing an easy fast for those who do.
-
I'm watching "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
-
And since we're so close...
-
PAGE FIVE "WHOSE LINE" DANCE!!
(http://cbscwpittsburgh2.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/whose-line-pic.jpg)
-
Well, no one can say we didn't get to page five.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Get me off this damn page.
-
I'm now eating Nutella.
-
Just had to share. :D
-
Good evening. I've been out of town a bit.
-
Yeah, really? Out of town?
-
It's been a little lonesome around here without you, you know.
-
I'm relaxing and keeping my mouth shut.
-
Yes. I've been out camping. Yes. Me. Camping.
-
I'm keeping my mouth shut.
-
BK, Congrats on hitting a new HHW posting plateau...five sevens!
:D
-
Wow, five sevens - if I was playing craps I'd be RICH.
