Yesterday I had a friend over and we watched a movie from Amazon Prime called Homecoming (Not to be confused with the Pinter play The Homecoming or the The Walton's pilot film: The Homecoming: A Christmas Story) that even Gloria Graham couldn't have saved. If won was to pitch this movie to producers t would be Misery meets Fatal Attraction and a Saturday Night Lights with Fargo weather. Mercifully it ran only 88 minutes and we caught a blooper (shot inconsistency). It played a few cities in July and then went to Lifetime in September. (Minus some language and violence)

Remember when Richard walked our DN Lauren down the aisle last summer and danced the father-daughter dance with her? Well, she and her husband announced on Facebook last night that Baby Goforth will arrive in May!
They'd actually told us 3 weeks ago, but I waited for the official announcement to start spreadin' the news.
Are there really documented cases of people getting the flu from getting the flu shot?

At the swim meet yesterday one of the events was 25m back streamline. You basically start in the water like regular back stroke. And you push off the bars and start with an underwater flip kick. Then you hold your arms out on top of your head and kick really hard. There is a girl on my niece's swim team who is 10 1/2. She stayed under water for the entire 25m. It was the craziest thing ever. In real back stroke you are only allowed to stay under water for a few meters. But there is no such rule for this event. Most swimmers stay under for a couple of meters. This girl is super tall for her age. It was the most amazing thing to watch.

Congrats to DR Ginny and DH Richard!
And a happy haineshisway.com to former dear reader Jed.
Then my friend told me about Crackle on Apple TV an we watched two episodes of All in The Family. We both had seen them of over the years and they are both still funny. Can't say that about most tv comedy series these days. Plus they run 5 minutes with opening and closing credits and the few extra minutes of story plot doesn't feel as the story is being rushed. They really do not make shows like All in the Family.

Or you could do a put-together of both shows - Into the Seven Brides - oops, nope, not in THIS world :)
Jane, you asked where in Washington the bear cub was taken. Currently he is in a wild animal shelter in Lynnwood, WA.
They keep the cub from almost 100% human contact. And when the cub is well, he will be returned to the wild in Oregon.

The guy told vixdad he would need a new motor for $100 and that it would take only a couple of hours to replace the part. After he bought it he handed vixdad a fan, here you better take this too. No charge. But you're gonna break the fan when you take out the old motor
Congratulation Aunt Ginny an food. Uncle Richard! Having a grand niece or grandnephew is the next best thing to being a grandparent

Last year they gave me the live-virus sniffy immunization by mistake. So I had that one PLUS a shot.

Speaking of appliances, the guy who installed our dishwasher yesterday said that life expectancy for them nowadays is only 7-10 years. He said our old dishwasher was supposed to last 10-15, so we did well using it for 16+.

I cleaned out the garage, moved all my outdoor furniture etc into the garage for the winter, did some work at the office, bought a new bird feeder and installed it, cleaned the kitchen and did the laundry. The washer sort of worked right. I need to call someone to check on it turning on by itself. In the meantime I'm unplugging it when not in use

Today is the last performance of Theater Artists Olympia's production of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [revised]." It was a great show and even though everyone who saw it really enjoyed it, we just didn't have a LOT of audience members. We did, however, end up making a profit. :D

(And thanks, George, for Sweeney. It arrived in yesterday's mail.)
Okay, I'm off to a day of RAGTIME.
