Well so far today.....
Precious got a bath.
And my Aunt Jan passed away. She was my mother's brother's wife.....she was 75, I think, and they had been married since 1952.....two daughters and one son.
She was a very nice lady. No services or anything.....cremation and that's the end.

A friend in town has been hired to be the publicist for Cheyenne Jackson's new film, which is premiering in December here in SA. Seems rudy's going to invite me to the premiere and set up an interview. Sounds like fun.
I've always enjoyed OK Go's innovative videos, and here's another winner!

Wow!!! I just found out today that Mary GrandPré, the illustrator who created the cover art for the American editions of the Harry Potter books, used to live in the very apartment where I am living now.
But she left no sketches behind, did she?
Tom, that sucks about the physical. I hope it all works out for you.

A study shows that eating dark chocolate can potentially improve your memory by 25%, but you'd have to eat at least seven bars per day.

Just saw the final packaging for Sandy, with all the fixes and touch-ups and it's gorgeous. So, announcing on Monday :)
Sorry to hear about your Aunt, JR. I think her wishes are the best. That's the way I want to go, cremation and then it's over.
Here is a sneak peek for only you dear readers :)

At long last!
I was hoping for an Armenian Cranberry
Tom, that sucks about the physical. I hope it all works out for you.
Thank you, Ben, it did work out. I called the health plan i have for my supplement and they told my doctor's office was crazy. Physicals are covered 100%. Now I need to reschedule.
I am home from Toyland! I had a lovely visit with Mr Anthony Morelli, printed out a score
Well, I believe I am up. What a night. I had some kind of weird heartburn, which is odd since I ate nothing whatsoever that would cause such a thing, and I don't think I actually fell asleep until after four. I think I ended up with about seven hours of sleep.
F O U R !

Wednesday morning greetings! I was up at 8 to move my car out of the garage because we were expecting Duke Energy between 9 and 1 to pick up our old refrigerator for recycling (and a $30 credit).

LOL That was also my reaction. I think the sugar in the bars would counter the good from the chocolate. I wish I liked my chocolate without the sweet.

I shall shortly be on my way to Dr. Chew.

I had to read this twice. Not only did you get someone to pick up your old frig for free, but they paid you $30 to do so!!!! :o

Yes, DR Jane, Duke is our power company. It's their incentive for people to buy more efficient appliances and to recycle the old ones.

Good for them. I always figure I'm lucky if the old appliance is carted away when the new one is delivered. Even luckier was finding someone who wanted the old appliance.
I am a cross between Ben and TCB, back when I thought my demise was possibly more imminent I gave instructions that there was to be no wake, and that I was to be cremated. I do want a memorial service in church though... on a weekend or evening to avoid inconveniencing people

these days with metal recycling all the rage it has become a lot easier ti get it hauled away for free or to be paid for it there was probably a good amount of copper wiring in that old refrigerator
We have an ongoing scrap metal drive at church - we used the proceeds for various property projects around the church - they were very happy to get the old motor from our dryer as it was full of copper wire (though the chair said he was disappointed I didn't need a new dryer as he had been counting on the entire dryer for the metal drive! )

When you are in to genealogy and visiting grave sites it seems odd to be cremated, but that is what I think we will do. Either way, we will be together.
Services are for the living and I don't think my family will care if there is one for me. I would like someone to say Kadish. I suppose I should let my wishes be known on this one ;D
so how are you celebrating? taking the cats out to dinner?
She walks around like nothing is wrong then BLleeeeeeeeh. Not my idea of a good time

Well one person who won't be cremated is my mom. She has made that VERY clear any time the subject comes up. I told her not to worry we'll make sure she's put in the ground.

Off to choir rehearsal.
Tonight, we're rehearsing a Broadway Cabaret benefit concert.
It will be my first time playing Professor Harold Hill. Also duetting on "Lily's Eyes" from The Secret Garden.
What I want to know is: can we double up and use "76 Trombones" for Sunday morning's anthem?

DR vixmom - you have my most sincerest condolences.
;)
Love Sandy's photos for her CD!
The best thing is my bite is back to normal. Now if they can only fix my bark.'
I was recently reminded of this - I always liked it . Please skip it if its not your cuppa :)
God Will Save Me
A terrible storm came into a town and local officials sent out an emergency warning that the riverbanks would soon overflow and flood the nearby homes. They ordered everyone in the town to evacuate immediately.
A faithful Christian man heard the warning and decided to stay, saying to himself, “I will trust God and if I am in danger, then God will send a divine miracle to save me.”
The neighbors came by his house and said to him, “We’re leaving and there is room for you in our car, please come with us!” But the man declined. “I have faith that God will save me.”
As the man stood on his porch watching the water rise up the steps, a man in a canoe paddled by and called to him, “Hurry and come into my canoe, the waters are rising quickly!” But the man again said, “No thanks, God will save me.”
The floodwaters rose higher pouring water into his living room and the man had to retreat to the second floor. A police motorboat came by and saw him at the window. “We will come up and rescue you!” they shouted. But the man refused, waving them off saying, “Use your time to save someone else! I have faith that God will save me!”
The flood waters rose higher and higher and the man had to climb up to his rooftop.
A helicopter spotted him and dropped a rope ladder. A rescue officer came down the ladder and pleaded with the man, "Grab my hand and I will pull you up!" But the man STILL refused, folding his arms tightly to his body. “No thank you! God will save me!”
Shortly after, the house broke up and the floodwaters swept the man away and he drowned.
When in Heaven, the man stood before God and asked, “I put all of my faith in You. Why didn’t You come and save me?”
And God said, “Son, I sent you a warning. I sent you a car. I sent you a canoe. I sent you a motorboat. I sent you a helicopter. What more were you looking for?”
The Actors Fund will present a one-night benefit concert presentation of Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol — based on the prime-time animated holiday special — Dec. 15 at 7:30 PM at The Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College.
Directed by Peter Flynn with musical direction by Emmy Award winner John McDaniel and choreography by Marcos Santana, the cast will include Jeff Blumenkrantz, John Bolton, Jennifer Cody, Don Darryl Rivera, Matthew Scott, two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber and Betsy Wolfe.
The evening will also feature the original orchestrations — heard live for the first time — with a full orchestra.
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol features a score by composer Jule Styne and lyricist Bob Merrill. The musical is described as "a delightful retelling of the Dickens classic, featuring the comically myopic cartoon character Quincy Magoo."
Originally airing in December 1962, "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol" was the first animated holiday special ever produced specifically for television.
BK, did they tell you "no drinking through straws"?
But she left no sketches behind, did she?
No. Unless you count the ones in the secret room under the stairs. :)

DR Jennifer, if you ask the bike store might do it for free.
"I am loving the mirror (helps me see if other bikes are coming up behind me and i can see cars beside me). I love the odometer (it has a clock. the temperature outside, speed, calories, how far i go...)."

actually probably only John G will get that joke
Speaking of John G - what a great opportunity ! Do you need someone to come along and sharpen your pencils?
Guess I'll read the instructions although I can't see the difference between drinking from a glass, can or water bottle and using a straw.
HAPPY NATIONAL CAT DAY!!!!! MEOW!

And now, I'm leaving work to go to see the filmed stage play, "Frankenstein," this time with Jonny Lee Miller as The Creature and Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Frankenstein. I'll be fun to compare both performances.
Until later!

No. A friend will be visiting from out of town that week. I would have asked TCB, but there's that sticky wicket about the restraining order he mentioned.
No, they didn't say anything about straws.
there is a reason why no straws but I forget what it is I am not allowed to drink through a straw for 72 hours prior to having a PET scan
Is that a normal thing to eat, an avocado omelet? Would it be good with cheese, too?
I got your joke, DR vixmom! :)
But I am serving a Presbyterian church, so all bets are off. ;)
