Well, you've read the notes, the notes were exhausted, and now it is time for you to post until the exhausted cows come home safe and sound.

I'm watching "Castle" and they've gone to a western dude ranch to solve a murder.  Just before "Castle," I watched "A Million Ways to Die in the West" starring, directed and co-written by Seth MacFarlane, and it's set in the 1880s in the west.  What a coinkydink...sort of.

I really enjoyed "AMWtDitW."  It was pretty funny...not knee-slappin' funny, but pretty funny.  And quite a sweet story.

And being a Seth MacFarlane movie, there's a LOT of swearing..."F" bombs throughout the whole movie.  That doesn't bother me, but it does bother some people, so be aware if anyone was thinking about seeing it.

Good morning, all!  I slept a looooong time, so I guess I needed it.  This morning I will take a trek down to City Center and pay a visit to Joshie for more scores from Paint Your Wagon.  I'll spend part of this afternoon working on some Jerome Moross scores for Gentlemen Be Seated. I'd like to get a portion of Act One proofed for the copyist by the weekend.

I also voted for my friend Jason Graae's show in LA.

DR TCB, you should pay DR George to be your photographer. What a great shot!

I need more coffee.

And a bagel.

When it comes to Robert Duvall, he's like what someone once said about Gene Hackman.

He may have made some lousy movies, but he never made a lousy frame.

Tuesday morning greetings!  After a couple of up-and-at-'em mornings it's nice to have a slow one.  I'm having coffee and Richard is still sleeping.  Later today we'll make our way to lower Manhatten to explore a bit and attend an evening concert at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.

However there are several films that I think I would like to see before the year is out

The Imitation Game (The film about Alan Turing)

Mr. Turner (The film about artist JMW Turner)

The Theory of Everything (The film about Stephen Hawking)

Into The Woods (The film about The Baker, The Baker's Wife, The Witch and some other people the meet along the way)

L. A. is not the only city that has the Broadway World Awards.  Nominations came out yesterday for the Seattle Awards.  Actually, I believe that the Seattle area goes from Everett to the north down to Olympia to the south.  Sadly, I did not receive a nomination for IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.  Strangely, Tacoma Little Theatre did not receive a single nomination this year.  Oh well, I did win that one newspaper's award this last January for Best Supporting Actor.

I was thinking I could make Seafoam Jello Salad as candles.  And then canned corned beef candles.  It would make for a very festive red and green table setting.

Abominations come in all shapes and sizes. And usually involve gelatin products.

People all around me are gagging over the photo SwampWater posted earlier. I think it's the addition of walnuts that puts it over the edge. Though I think canned corned beef candles would do it, too.

B'way World nominations are simple - their main critic in each city chooses and then all the friends vote.  So, Li'l Abner, for example, never had a chance here because the critic didn't see it.

I really doubt I'll go.  So far US Airways is allowing changes for flights booked from the 18th till the 20th.   What's interesting is that the airport has less than 4 inches of snow,  but a town 6 miles away has 60 inches!

We are back from a delightful afternoon and evening in lower Manhattan.  We got thrown out of the museum cafe when they closed at 4, so we boarded the free (yes, a freebie in NYC) shuttle to South Street Seaport and transferred to another line that took us past the World Trade Center site and up through TriBeCa (I think) and back to the museum.  It was still too early to pick up our tickets, so we went across the street to the Ritz-Carlton for a drink.

After a Kahlua coffee for me and a Heiniken for Richard and some nice mixed nuts, we returned to the museum, picked up our tickets, and settled into aisle seats for a singers' concert by the State Jewish Theater of Poland.  This was the final performance of their North American tour and it was great fun.  It was all in Yiddish, but they had surtitles.  They were joined by the cantor from Lincoln Square Synagogue and Frank London from The Klezmatics.  We had a great time, took a taxi home, and we're settled in for the night.

George, you dropped a #20.00 bill of yours in the bag with my DVDs?

That was on purpose...since I didn't mail the VHS tape and DVDs back to you, I didn't need it.  The discs only cost about 25¢ each and the lunch more than made up for them. :)

Yes, George, but you are constantly paying postage for all of us.  Well, I guess we are going to have to do a  keychain rally.

Now, that I wouldn't mind. ;)

I don't know who the dirty old man is, but the young lady in the picture is the lovelier than lovely Madison Claire Parks.

But... more pictures, you ask?  How could there possibly be any more pictures?

Because I just got these from friend Kristi, who was thrilled beyond words to attend the show.  Here she is with the man of her dreams.

A big thanks to DRs Chas, Vixmom, and George (and anyone I missed) for posting the photos from the weekend's KL shows for all of us who were unable to attend. Such a treat to see them. Great photos. The one with Vixmom and Elmore is wonderful!
