DR Jrand64 - all is going well. I do not have a nameplate, and I do not have to wear a tie. I have to complete training and certification before I can help my own customers, but I am making myself useful. You may find that you have to be a legal expert and medical expert, too.
There is quite a lot to learn - you have to be a tax expert, an immigration expert, and an insurance expert. I have a lot of catching up to do! (and not in the HHW sense).
Last of the HHW mischief for this trip, DR ChasSmith!
See you soon, DR Elmore! Do you drink orange juice?

Who doesn't?

We will make some Midwestern HHW Mischief when I'm next in Cincinnati, DR Ginny!
I'll be there for my niece's wedding on May 16th, and plan on taking a couple of days after that away from family obligations to get around and do things I never seem to have time for otherwise... such as a get-together with both DR Ginny and DR Jrand64.
Mark my words, we will make this happen.
I hope DR TCB is feeling better today...
Nice additional photos.
Vibes for the DVD burner of DR GEORGE.
Good luck to DR George getting his dvd burner to work!

Thanks, Jrand!
I woke up to an e-mail from the parents of the fellow who is the musical director of the And the World Goes Round recording. I knew they were doing this, taking an ad in the LA Times to trumpet their son, as a birthday present to him. The ad was not run by me for approval, even though it should have been. I would have suggested they attribute the quotes included, although since a couple of them are not from actual reviewers perhaps that's why they didn't. I would also have more than suggested that since everyone's names are in this ad, including their attorney's, it might have been nice to include the name of the person who not only produced the CD but without whose involvement the CD could and would never have happened. But what do I know? And yes, this is the kind of thing I've been dealing with for over a year-and-a-half now.
Anyway, to continue...I couldn't even open up the drawer on my DVD burner. I'm going to take it in to a local place that should at least be able to get the drawer open. Hopefully, that's what's wrong with it and it'll work again. I had quite a lot of stuff recorded onto it that I hadn't burned onto DVDs, but nothing that was terribly important....but still. :P

Wednesday morning greetings! Another slow morning here on W. 69th St.
We'll probably take it easy before wandering up to the low '80s for a late lunch with DR Elmore. Tonight we're seeing AIDA at the Metropolitan Opera, which is right around the corner from our humble abode.
Good morning, all.
Is it only Wednesday? I thought all day yesterday that it was Wednesday.
On Friday I'll be back in town having lunch at this jernt:

I am home from Luke's Lobsters, and the laundry is in the washers. It was lovely to spend some time with DR Ginny and Richard and wish them a safe trip to Ohio tomorrow
I need a nap but i'm stuck with the laundry for the nonce.
In other news, I just had a nice fresh banana, I've poured a second K-cup, and I'm enjoying a nice blueberry muffin.

TCB posted a picture from Sleuth yesterday.
It reminded me when I used to do some stage acting and I was in a comedy my bio in part would say
Some of Michael's favorite roles have been: Detective Sergeant Tarrant (Sleuth), Lefty (In Waiting For Lefty), God (Susan and God), Edward (Edward, My Son).
PS
Never had the guts to include Godot.
Yes, TCB should be pain-free.

I wish I could say that I was.
Luke's Lobster sounds great, but I would prefer John's lobster. ;)

Is that a euphemism?

Not at all! The drawer not opening has been developing over the last few weeks, so hopefully it just needs a new belt or something simple like that.
Oh my gosh! A friend of mine since high school appeared in the musical BABES IN ARMS that I directed in the mid-seventies. She played the "broad" who sang "THE LADY IS A TRAMP." She just sent me this photo of two of us, when they called me on stage for the curtain call. I have never seen this photo before.(http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u271/actr2000/Babes1_zps24cbc5b6.jpg) (http://s170.photobucket.com/user/actr2000/media/Babes1_zps24cbc5b6.jpg.html)
Spoke with DR Kate--she said they had cleared a path from their house to the street. Sadie the dog finally went outside. I guess it was clear today, but up to 2 more feet of snow on the way. Scary!
Now why is it when BK was on the east coast we had tons of pages every day and now things are just turtle-ing by.Sometimes it is nice missing the news while I'm on vacation
So here's my two cents on the Cosby situation: I am not surprised that the rape allegations are popping up like weeds, but I am surprised at the ages of the ladies. When I worked at Drama Book Shop in 1995, we had a young black actress working there who claimed that she used to be one of the ""Cosby kids," whatever that was, and I had the impression from her innuendoes that he liked them young. I'm saddened by the whole mess because I had been a fan of his for years. Until 1995.
Health vibes for DRs TCB and elmore.

Nice picture, Tom. :)
What a great discovery that must have been, getting that picture. I know I'd love it if people would find old things like that for anything I'd been involved with.
JohnG - i think I read on the Book of Face that you'd listened to Sandy's album and enjoyed it - but not a peep on this board?

Glad to hear that DR Kate is all right, DR KevinH - thanks for reporting in!
PS
Never had the guts to include Godot.
Sorry.
I was never in Waiting for Godot, but when I was in college I was only cast in absurdist plays:
The Bald Soprano, Foursome (Ionesco), The Sandbox, The American Dream, The Birthday Party (Pinter).
I have another appointment with Dr. Chew in the morning - I forgot about it, and this one he has to remove a crown and do some stuff, then put a new one on. I'm sure that will require two or three more visits. I'm quite sick of it, frankly.
