DR ChasSmith, I am delighted that you will be playing She Loves Me, by far my favorite Broadway show and score. I am hoping for your sake that the rental materials now include a properly notated score, instead of that dreadful hand-written thing that they used to send.
Deb, I assume that you have a Windows-based PC (not Apple, even though you have an IPad). Perhaps you an e-mail your pictures to yourself and retrieve them from your PC.
If not, then perhaps your photos are automatically backed up to an Apple cloud. You could go there perhaps and get the pictures.
IPads don't have USB ports but you could get a USB adaptor that goes into your power socket and then you could plug a USB flash drive in and take the pictures off the IPad.
And what might I be stuffed with, you ask?
Lots of little appetizer thingies throughout the day, and then the usual stuff, but all lovingly and carefully prepared: turkey, sage sausage and cranberry and apple stuffing (mine), mashed potatoes, gravy drenching all of the above, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce (mine), green bean/crispy onion ring casserole, tossed salad (mine), and garlic bread (mine).
There was also a pasta course because, well, with a couple of these people there is always a pasta course. Cavatelli and a wonderful homemade marinara in which was cooked meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni. I was careful to only have a three-bite helping of this, as it is very filling and I would have been stuffed before I got to the stuffing.
There were half a dozen of us and this was a group effort. My contributions went over smashingly. My own libation of choice was a nouveau beaujolais which, after years of ignoring them, I'm very much enjoying now as a light accompaniment to this meal.
Desserts were pumpkin pie, apple pie, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and tiramisu -- and believe it or not, I had not one bite of any of it, I was so stuffed. There's that word again. I had a cup of coffee, and that was that for me. But there are leftovers galore, and I shall set to them today, with gusto.
I am guessing it is pretty easy to take photos on your IPAD as my sister and dad do it very often.
DR Jane glad you were able to play with the kids.
Cold be gone Vibes to Jane
Pain be gone vibes to Everybody! (but especially TCB and Elmore)

Chas would you be willing to share your recipes for apple stuffing and cranberrry sauce?

Ditto, and also especially DR Mike.

Yes'm! The latter is simple -- I followed the instructions on the Trader Joe's 12-oz. package of cranberries. Bring one cup of water and a cup of sugar to a boil, reduce to simmer, add the cranberries, cook for ten minutes or so till a number of them have popped. Chill. Eat.
I used two packages, so doubled the recipe. What I didn't think of in advance was the option of using orange juice instead of water, and I do love me some orange in my cranberry. Next time!
The stuffing recipe was a put-together from multiple recipes, so I'll get it together later and post it.
The rental materials for She Loves Me are now, I believe, the puny Roundabout revival version with a small band, and it's all digitized. The handwritten piano-conductor score and parts of the original production are only rented now on special occasion, I believe.
Has anybody here that did the Kickstarter for Herringbone hear when our cds will be shipped?
vibes the kid doesn't get a cold and Jane is blamed for it
:)
Good morning, all!
I could not get to sleep last night, so I stayed up far too late reading Paul Ford's deliciously lowdown gossipy book on his life in the theatre. It's currently a sprawling draft, and I have no idea if it will ever be published, but it's one helluva good read. Knowing Paul, I know it's all true. He told me the RAGS stories at the time of the original production. So, I stayed up far too late and got ut of bed later than I had intended.
I must run to the bank and get to work. Joshie has changed my Paint Your Wagon deadline to Dec. 15 and I'm still in Act One!

That man can tell a story. That's for certain. And he never lets facts interfere with his opinions.
Cold vibes and no blame vibes for DR JANE......and vibes for her sister in law.
The super tells me that the new tenant did not tell anyone she had a dog, nor did she read the lease before signing. It's barked all morning.
I need Aunt Pearl, the poodle poisoner from GREATER TUNA.

This problem could be dealt with quickly and impressively with a three-story falling file cabinet.
Has anybody here that did the Kickstarter for Herringbone hear when our cds will be shipped?
The only thing I heard is that all the Kickstarter donors got an invitation to the party on Monday.
All the garage door opener needed was some adjustment, so we're good until it gives out all together. The guy told Richard they can't get parts for ours anymore, because it's 20 years old.but you just bought it!

Do you have a different email address from the one you normally got the Kickstarter updates at? Did you get the other Kickstarter updates in April and September?
We've had our traditional morning-after-Thanksgiving breakfast - turkey and bacon sandwiches and pie (apple for Richard, pumpkin for me).
Jennifer,
Do you have a London Drugs near you?
Actually my cousin's wife needs MEGA vibes. She has been in the hospital about 6 weeks now. It was good to see him last night.
Ginny, is it snowing at your house today?

I got an update that he is doing a show of it. But no shipping as of yet. Or in my case a digital download. I believe he is supposed to ask for your address so he can send it.

Mike, did you get an invitation to the party Monday night? (Just wondering.)
Went to a Half Price Books this morning for the Black Friday rush. Got there 15 minutes early and was not among the 110 first customers to receive a gift bag. But I did find gifts for three people, so I'm glad of that. And a couple of books for myself, of course.

What did you get me?
My estimated delivery date for HERRINGBONE is now December 4.

Great dinner of Thanksgiving leftovers with my sister and her husband and daughter. I'm waiting to watch Kristen Chenoweth on PBS.

update on my knee
The pain is still there not as bad as it was a month or so again. But still have trouble walking.
BUT
I am going back to work on Monday because I don't want to lose my health benefits.
In a couple of weeks I'll been with the company for 15 years.
I want to hear some Paul Ford stories.
Sorry for my absence yesterday. A last-minute change in the DH's family holiday plans meant a long and unexpected detour to the southern part of the state right after work on Wednesday. The weather wan't great, so the trip was fraught, and from there it was pretty much non-stop until dinner concluded last night and we were finally home. All in all it was really lovely; just not the calm respite I had been expecting. We were 16 for dinner (which I did not have to prepare), including a gaggle of young children, which was fun.Wow, the weather wasn't good for driving. glad you made it ok
I enjoyed DR CILLA LIZ's photos....that is a beautiful house.....of course the people are nice looking, too.The house is where DR Samantha and her SO Don live
Great photo, DR Ginny.
I'm curious about the framed blue & green-ish piece on the wall. Is it by any chance a topo map?
Here is our Thanksgiving table. Left to right: my nephew Mark, his significant other Eva, my brother-in-law Jerry, my niece Laura, Richard, my mother (the birthday girl), my sister Nancy, our friend Betty.
Great photo, DR Ginny.

Yes, DR ChasSmith, it's the western half of Mt. Desert Island, Maine, and the eastern half is behind Betty. My Dad bought them when we camped there as a family in 1963 and Richard and I had them framed after spending the first 2 Summer vacations of our marriage there (not camping).
I have moved two times since I donated to the Herringbone project, and there is no way that I can discern to report that through Kickstarter.
So I suppose I will just have to buy it again through Amazon. :P
DR vixmom and I are on the outs, apparently, as I did not get a party invitation either. :)
A couple of excellent points there, DR vixmom.
And now, I must go. I don't want to go to the store, but I didn't prepare and get cat food earlier. My bad.
Anyway, until later!
I heard two women were trampled at a local Walmart today by men pushing their way through to get $200 TV sets.
and I heard there was a woman who pepper sprayed the crowd to get a video game console and a shooting in Austin
also in the Nordstroms in Chicago there was a shooting
are all blue ray players all region or do you need special all region player?
