Well, you've read the notes, the notes were draggy and saggy and baggy, and now it is time for you to post until the draggy and saggy and baggy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ALPHITOMANCY!
Smoke on your pipe and put that in.
-
Alphitomacy…... guilt or innocence by barley loaves. Whoever was suspected of a wrongdoing had to consume an ancient barley baguette. If he developed a bellyache, he was considered to have done the crime? But it's gluten free……how is this possible?
Hope you have all been enjoying the Thxgiving weekend.
And remember if you can't sleep at night (like me at the moment), head over to the frig and eat some turkey leftovers. The triptophan in the turkey will make you sleep………………..
Unless you develop indigestion, in which case, you're guilty of something.
Happy early Sunday!
-
It's early for a weekend, but we went to bed early for a weekend, too.
-
Good morning to all.
-
I have been going to bed early so I can train myself to wake up by 5:30 with an alarm clock. So far these past two I've been beating the clock and waking 30 minutes or before it.
-
A got a good deal on the AVATAR movie box set. I watch most of the documentaries which were quite good and wasn't the usual Laurent Bouzereau fluff pieces. I was quite surprise to see his name attached to them.
Today I will choose one of the three version to watch.
-
Did anyone watch last Tuesday's episode of NCIS: Grounded? I am wondering if they filmed it at an actual airport or was it a studio set? Other than the scripted characters they had a lot of extras/background people that I am sure would be very expensive if it was studio shoot or they were real people at an airport.
-
Late yesterday morning, I helped paint the floor and risers of The Midnight Sun and it only took a couple of hours. I went to Subway and got some food, then came home for a moment, then had to go back for our cue-to-cue tech rehearsal with no actors present. We started at 4:00 pm yesterday and didn't leave until about 1:00 am! We got most of the light and sound cues built, so that's good. But it was freezing when we left...I had to scrape the windshield of my car! Fortunately, it wasn't snowing, but I don't know if that will happen or not. Hopefully, not.
-
Anyway, I need to go to bed because the first part of our rehearsal today starts at 11:00 am and goes until 3:00 pm (well, that's the plan). And then we break until 6:30 and go until we're finished.
-
Have a good day, all!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Good morning, all! I frced myself utof bed at 7:15 since I have to be up at 6:30 tomorrow for therapy and I have a lot to accomplish today. Yesterday, with errands and the problems with my speakers was a lost day.
I have nothing else to report. I will return later.
-
Good morning, all.
And that's about all I have to report at this juncture. At this point in time. For the nonce. And for all mankind.
Coffee!

DR ChasSmith, this might interest you:

Yes it does, DR Elmore. Thank you for that.
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning to all and sundried.
-
bk, how about re-posting the recipe for Wacky Noodles? Never a bad idea from time to time.
-
DR Laura should re-post the recipe for floop, too.
-
I feel draggy and saggy and baggy;
Too long to post; my computer is laggy-
But alive!
But alive!
But aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!
-
I realized the other night when I tried to sing "Over the River and Through the Woods" for a 5 year old that I wasn't too great on remembering the tune and text after that opening phrase.
So for anyone else, like me, needing a reminder, here it is:

Or the version for British folk visiting NY on Thanksgiving (it's on my hard drive, but what the heck was it written for?)
Over the ocean and through the ‘hoods
To Macy’s parade we go
You see we are Brits
And don’t get the glitz
About this fancy show
Over the ocean and through the ‘hoods
Hey look, there’s a balloon
It’s a day of thanks
For all the Yanks
But we hope the day’s over soon

Getting it done vibes for DR ELMORE.
Cooking vibes for DR CILLA LIZ!
We are having the 60 degree temperatures today, and it is wonderful!!!
-
LOL DR FJL....exactly.
-
DR CILLA LIZ are you following the penalty phase of the Jodi Arias trial at all? It has been most interesting - legal wise.....
-
INSIDE OUT sounds like fun. I'm looking forward to hearing the score on CD.
-
Good morning to all and sundried.
Good Morning. We are all sun dried here. That's what happens when you live in the desert.
-
I like your version much better, DR FJL. :)
-
Get us off this darned page.

Interesting.

This commercial during the football game was, well, attention-getting. Amazing what getting two free checked bags on an airline can do for you.

Thanks, Jrand and singdaw!
Now I really can't get that tune out of my head.
-
Maybe "Turkey Lurkey Time" will help.
(from BK's show in NYC a few years back)

-
I'm getting more and more sure that I don't understand football.
-
I'm up, I'm up - took a bit to fall asleep last night but I do believe I got eleven hours of sleep and boy did I need it.
-
Shortly after I'm lucid - Wacky Noodles - I will repost the recipe in a bit, too.
-
I do not understand page two.
-
They're predicting a "huge" rainstorm for tomorrow that may leave a half-inch of rain. Welcome to LA. I do see it drizzled this morning at some point and I wish it would just continue.
-
I don't understand Reply #42.
-
Cranberries!
-
For your amusement, and with apologies...
Here is some idiot playing the last bars of RAGTIME exit music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoJHv3jtiLo&feature=youtu.be
I should be apologizing for the orchestra. What was happening that night? Damn, that's bad.
-
Eating Wacky Noodles and watching a documentary about Robert Altman. And guess what? No drizzle - we got us a real old-fashioned rain. It's pouring and I love it.
-
I remember Tom Snyder's joke that he loved listening to the weather forecast, leaving his umbrella at home, and then stepping into two inches of partly cloudy.
-
Real old-fashioned rain is done - a total of six minutes. Pretty good. May it continue throughout the week because we really need it. I'm sure the TV stations are interrupting programs with Storm Watch 2014.
-
Home Sweet Home!
-
I've got tons of work to do around here. I'll be back later.
-

-
DR Jennifer, a belated thank you for the double vibes.
-
Thank you again DR Jrand.

A nine-hour cue to cue, without actors? That is horrible.
-
Thank you DR Singdaw. I still have my cold but as colds go it doesn't hurt too much. At least now I don't have to stress about seeing people I shouldn't be near, at least until Saturday when company arrives-lol
-
Very nice DR CHAS SMITH....you look very professional!
-
Page three at four in the afternoon CA time is kind of dreary and unacceptable.
-
We'd best get us a frenzy or nine.
-
Wacky Noodles are all eaten up.
-
Still gray out, but rain is done for the time being.

We are having the 60 degree temperatures today, and it is wonderful!!!
We had the 60+ day on Thursday, and now we have moved down to the 30 degree day, yesterday and today.

Sunday evening greetings! My sister and her husband checked out of their hotel and picked me up at 7:30 this morning. They dropped me off in Lima to join Fr. Richard, who went up yesterday to entertain the Bishop and his wife. Sister is now home in Michigan, their daughter is home in Illinois, and Richard and I are home from Lima. Just talked on the phone to Mom, who sounds more chipper than I feel.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Hello, DR Jeanne.
-
We are supposed to have a wind chill of -26 overnight.
-
So BK feels draggy and saggy and baggy, does he? I'm feeling rather draggy today myself. Shopping just wears me out--even when it's online. As for the baggy, just call me Miss Baggy Pants. I have jeans in a smaller size, but the old, broken-in, baggy ones are just more comfy. So there.

Today is the first Sunday of Advent, and I am just back from a lovely service of readings and music attesting to that fact. It is nice once in a while to just sit and listen and let it all waft over you.
-
I've been shopping online for several days now. One gift I decided to buy for myself--great deal--has since sold out. I purchased just in time; I had an email that it shipped. Another item has sold out and I missed it. Damn. I haven't done my See's purchases yet. I figure they won't sell out, but I could be mistaken! We never used to have to buy so early. I blame the Black Friday frenzy. Sooo much buying all at once, then POOF! Gone!
-
Hello, DR Jeanne.
Hi, David.
-
We are supposed to have a wind chill of -26 overnight.
Ugh.
-
I am sooo NOT a shopper.
-
Must go debate a few more purchases.
TTFN.

Will you be selling autographed copies of that clip?
-
Today I received a package for myself of a 6-pack and an 8-pack. The 8-pack was my Cyber Deal of the Day from Friday of the entire 8 HARRY POTTER films in Blu-ray.
But my 6-pack is my dream come true. Six full-length Three Stooges movies, featuring:
AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAZE
THE OUTLAWS IS COMING!
ROCKIN' IN THE ROCKIES
THE THREE STOOGES MEET HERCULES
TIME OUT FOR RHYTHM
and my all-time favorite HAVE ROCKET WILL TRAVEL
-
I just hope that i can get felling well enough to watch any of new finds.
-
For anyone who watches the Mentalist the premiere is on tonight (9:30pm ET).
-
Still gray out, but rain is done for the time being.
Vibes you get more rain soon!
-
Just talked on the phone to Mom, who sounds more chipper than I feel.
This should make you feel more chipper ;)
I bet your are tired.
-
For anyone who watches the Mentalist the premiere is on tonight (9:30pm ET).
I didn't expect it-thanks for the tip. I'm going to make sure it is set to record.
-
Good evening, all.
-
BK, having trouble with indiegogo. They won't send me anything to change my password and they won't let me create another account with my email.
-
Well, indiegogo did let me log in with the book of face but it screwed up the pledge.
-
A Robert Altman documentary? Sounds wonderful.
-
DR CILLA LIZ are you following the penalty phase of the Jodi Arias trial at all? It has been most interesting - legal wise.....
No, actually and I probably should be. Is there a website that is covering it well?
-
Danced all morning, or so it seems. Really looking forward to Saturday. I'd like a little of my time back.
-
Cranberries!
I had some a little while ago
-
For anyone interested in such things, the movie from Bill O'Reilly's book Killing Kennedy is showing on Fox News at 8:00 PM tonight. The book was very good.
-
I had a nice day. I putzed around the house, doing this and that. Went to the grocery store and made dinner. Just a quite day. Nice
-
It's VERY cold here too. Not sure what the wind chill will be tonight but it's going to be at least single digits air temp if not colder
-
I have a pumpkin pie cooling on the stove.
-
Thank you, Cillaliz, for finding page four.
-
Starting to watch a western called Man in the Shadow with Jeff Chandler and Orson Welles. The opening is quite good.
-
I accidentally got a lot of shopping done online today. I got some great deals on toys on Amazon for the grand nieces and nephews and ordered a book for dad. I also ordered some needed supplies for the office from Staples. I usually go pick them up, but with the online deals I decided to have them delivered. Heck, it's free delivery, why not.
-
I'm wishing my pumpkin pie was cool already, but it isn't
-
Can't think of much else I did today. I guess I played online a while.
-
Came across a recipe for a maple pumpkin pie today. May have to try that.
-
JohnG were you finally able to donate?
-
The problem has been we can't even get hold of anyone at Indiegogo - they've been out since Wednesday - back tomorrow and hopefully we can get them to clean up their act.
-
JohnG were you finally able to donate?
I was able to donate, but I was going to donate more than the amount for a perk and it wouldn't let me. It only accepted the perk level amount.
-
Started watching "Scrooge." Such a mixed bag, but I enjoy it more and more with each viewing. As I recall, Ron Pulliam is a big fan of this movie.
-
Again with the four pages. Enough already.
-
Apparently my original post here, about not being happy about page four, upset Vixmom - sorry about that. Of course, I'm NOT happy about still being on page four, but that's just me.
-
I have been very busy doing things around the house and now that it is midnight I am going tobed
-
I would also like to very much thank those who've donated to the Indiegogo campaign - believe me, I know how tight money is for many of us, so it is very appreciated, and believe me I completely understand those who can't and appreciate them just as much.
-
I have finished with my writing for tonight. Not enough done, but it was better than I thought.
-
And with that, I have to wish you all good night.
-
I also appreciate those who've listened to the Sandy CD and posted their comments and done Amazon reviews - the latter are extremely helpful with sales and that's why I push about it. And I'm looking forward to other thoughts when people have time to listen and hopefully enjoy. This one, as you know, is much more personal for me than the others, for obvious reasons. I'm very proud of it, and just want to hear what folks think, yay OR nay.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
I didn't say I would be back this evenning, but I am willing to help.
-
I got up to take some pills, but let's go for it.
-
Too many days of trying to do too much have taken a toll on my body.
-
Good night, John. Sleep well.
-
Another cold night here, but nothing like some parts of the country.
-
Boy posting is tough when you are feeling tired.
-
Dear reader Jane said she'd be back this evening. But alas, she went elsewhere or to bed.
-
Rain has completely stopped. Hope it picks up again.
-
We need the damn rain.
-
That never stops BK, regardless of how he feels.
-
I have no idea what is going on upstairs tonight, but I can only hope that Carmen Miranda and her on are moving out.
-
I doubt I could be that lucky.
-
Nicky is all curled up behind my knees, so hopefully I don't need to get up anytime soon.
-
Well, silly me, we got to Page Five and I didn't even notice.
-
I wonder where George is tonight. I guess he must have had another rehearsal.
-
Well, my balcony decorating is half finished.
-
I have no idea when it will get finished. My friend, Micheal, has to pick up a few more parts.
-
Toad, the apartment manager, hasn't even announced the decorating contest yet.
-
Still, it will be nice to have the lights to look at for the next month.
-
Of course, when I see my next utility bill, I may not have any lights on for the next month.
-
I have decided on whether or not I will put a tree up in the apartment.
-
John G., I am also a big fan of SCROOGE. Of course, I prefer my Scrooge to Albert Finney's performance, but it is a great movie.
-
I don't really think they needed to add back the scene in Hell; that had preiously cut. But what do I know? I think that TCB is a better actor than Albert Finney!
-
Lions and tigers and bears....
-
OH MY!
-
Well folks, I am fading fast.
G'night
-
TCB to the rescue!
-
It's been an all documentary day here. First the Robert Altman documentary, then one on the James Bond films from beginning through Casino Royale and now a documentary about crime boss Whitey Bulger (I think that's his name) - South Boston. Fascinating.
-
Dear reader Jane said she'd be back this evening. But alas, she went elsewhere or to bed.
I am back now but I really need to sleep. I got a lot done this evening but was unable to finish unpacking.
-
At leadt, for now, I'm not coughing.
