Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the right Birdman movie, and now it is time for you to post until the right cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ANTIPYRETIC!
-
A couple of nights ago, I downloaded a program that can burn different kinds of video files to a DVD and make it playable! I was able to burn some YouTube videos to one disc. It's pretty cool! Now, I'm going to try burning a whole show (covertly downloaded ;) ) onto a disc. I don't know the limitations of the program...for instance, if the program will automatically fit larger file sizes onto a limited sized disc or not. I don't know if the files that I have will be a problem. The two together are only 2.75GB, whereas a DVD is 4.7GB. We'll see.
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Good morning, DR Ben.
You must be getting ready to knock off work for the year fairly soon!
-
Oh, and speaking of Yul Brynner,

Yes, David, I'm already done. I did have to go back to the office yesterday to finish my Performance Evaluation but I am off work until Monday, January 5th.
-
good morning to all
-
ask bk
are there any "holy grails" left of soundtracks you'd like to release?
-
Good morning, all! I am up early because I have physical therapy this morning, but i am feeling puny so i may call and move it to tomorrow. Ugh. Beyond that, whether I stay home or go to therapy, i've got Jerome Moross work yo deal with, and i am grateful for it.
DR cillaliz, i loved the account of your trip yesterday. I wish your client all the best.
-
Wonderful, lively work party last night. i haven't been able to ketchup here but hope to over the next few days or on the weekend.

Recalling Laugh-In's take on the subject when "Anna and the King" got the same ratings as "Carol Burnett Show": (Yul Tied Carol)
-
It drizzled here for awhile. So, I hope we get some real rain today.
-
Good morning, from -- you guessed it -- the high school.
But today's my last day. Yay!!!

This is the worst I've felt in years. :(
I used to get sick very often. But recently I just get minorly sick. I had a fever last night and again this morning. My sinuses are bothering me. My nose is running. And my throat hurts when I cough.
I've already taken two hot showers today and it's only 8am. I hope this goes away soon.
-
Surprisingly I'm hungry.
-
Good morning, all.
More vibes for Jennifer and anyone else feeling under the weather.
-
Congratulations, BK, on the milestone.
Good luck, Matthew, with the dog adoption.
-
Last night, I ushered the Blind Boys of Alabama and Mavis Staples concert. These acts are far from young, yet they performed for 3 1/2 hours. And their audience, far from young also, left in droves before it was over. Very strange. The Blind Boys even went out into the lobby to sign CDs and posters afterward.
An inspiring event, and the music was wonderful.
-
feel better vibes for DR JENNIFER.
-
Nice Rob Stevens review for the show!
i liked reading the notes. I have never seen BOA all the way through....maybe I will do that next time it is on the teevee.
-
I also enjoyed reading DR CILLA LIZ's post yesterday about her client......you do good work!!
-
I had a couple of errands to run this morning......store, bank, and post office....so I will get to see my sisters today.
-
I think another Sherman-Kimmel ditty is a wonderful idea.
-
Page one? At noon thirty?
-
Good morning. It is drizzling here.

I'm getting my Performance Evaluation later this afternoon. :P

Just Donnybrook - expensive but I can get the license, so we'll see.
-
I'm up - was up briefly at eight-thirty, then fell back asleep until eleven. Have had about nine hours. Had a telephonic call already.
-
My question for ASK BK Day:
What is your favorite Annette Funicello recording?

I read this as Bank of America and then had to rethink things a bit.

I shelled out for the bad copied-from-vinyl CD of this. Would love a cleaned up recording.

Okay, I must apologize, but I lost my list of those who wanted a DVD copy of "Peter Pan Live!" If I remember correctly, I had these people: Ginny John, Laura, and Vixmom. Please confirm with me (on the board or privately) if these are correct or not. Would anyone else like a copy? Please let me know. I don't want anyone left out.
Thanks. :)
-
Yes, please, George.

Wednesday afternoon greetings! Today was Mom's moving day and it went more smoothly than any of us imagined. My sister and I are exhausted and have crashed for today. Brother-in-law and niece were finishing up a couple of details at the new place and will also crash. Tomorrow we'll finish up in the old place and, I hope, turn in the keys by the end of the day.
-
I'm glad to hear it went well, Ginny.
-
Mom has met her housekeeper, her nurse, her aide, and her social worker. The aide walked her to the dining room for lunch and Mom said it was delicious. We were able to accommodate all but one small piece of furniture, which we will store. It's the nightstand that matches her dresser and chest of drawers. Tomorrow I will show her how to use her new Keurig-style coffee maker. She also has a small refrigerator for soft drinks and snacks and her microwave.
-
I'm glad to hear it went well, Ginny.
Thanks, DR Laura! There may still be some snags, but overall we're very pleased and relieved.
-
Yes, please, George.
Thanks for confirming, Laura!
-
Yes, DR George, I'm on the PETER PAN list - thanks!

DR cillaliz, i loved the account of your trip yesterday. I wish your client all the best.
Thanks Elmore. He has one small problem. The timing of leaving his country is very important to his case. He said his wife was pregnant and visibly so when he left in February of a certain year. The baby was born in December. He was adamant that both were correct. Oh well.
-
Surprisingly I'm hungry.
Feel better soon!!!!! Glad to hear you're hungry. Eat chicken soup. I always do that when I don't feel well.
-
I also enjoyed reading DR CILLA LIZ's post yesterday about her client......you do good work!!
Thanks. I don't talk about it much but I love working with people from all over the world and people who really need help. I could be a rich lawyer, but instead I'm a happy one. I'll take happy any day of the week

SO glad it went well. Sounds like she was actually looking forward to being there.
-
I'm tired. I was up too late trying to get all the photos transferred. I have accomplished a few things today and have to find the answer to one more question then I think I'll go home. Tonight I'm wrapping and packaging up all my gifts. Only a couple packages to send, but want to get them off soon. I'll do priority, so I should be ok

Yes, DR Cillaliz, I think so, too. She was very isolated in her independent living apartment. I'd been concerned she would find all the attention intrusive, but she seemed to be enjoying it.
-
I'm going to take a short nap before going out to dinner with (just) Richard and for a drive through Light Up Middletown at Sunset Park.
Bye for now!

Me, too.

A friend from high school, who's still somewhat in his punk rock phase, has written a lyrical ballad for the Yuletide season called "I'm Burning Down Your Christmas Tree Tonight." The melody is catchy in a weird way, as if Depeche Mode and "Jingle Bells" had mated. Here's one of the more lively sections.
But now I'm melting down your plastic snowmen
That sing "Oh Holy Night"
It's a supercalifragilistic sight
I'm burning down your Christmas tree tonight
-
Let's move on!
-
3hree!
-
Good news from DR GINNY.
-
Congrats on good progress, DR Ginny!
-
And now, I'm off to the .... you know.
-
Yes, DR George, I'm on the PETER PAN list - thanks!
Great! Thanks, Ginny!

DR Cilla I enjoyed reading about your day with your client. Vibes he wins!!!
-
DR Jeanne thanks for all the detail, especially regarding lenders. I was actually referring to your experience of going from a lovely east coast home to Los Angeles with all the noise and high cost of homes. I have been under the impression that you gave up trying to find something.
-
DR JENNIFER, SENDING YOU GET WELL VIBES!!
Did you ever get your flu shot?

Had lunch - a patty melt with no fries or onion rings - picked up one package, then came home and re-typed all the liner notes from Classical B'way for our new release of it. I was originally having someone else re-type but I found so many typos and silly errors that it was just easier for me to do it. But it took two hours.

You can't beat happy in your work, plus supporting yourself doing it.

I'm going to take a short nap before going out to dinner with (just) Richard and for a drive through Light Up Middletown at Sunset Park.
It sounds like a very pretty drive.
-
i am niow oin my MacboobThe afternoon has been a nightmare. My computer died around 3:00pm, and I am now on my Macbook. My Macman is in London until Dec. 27th so the soonest he can try to repair the hard drive is on the 28th. So, I will be crabby until then. Since my last back yp was on Dec. 6, I will lose the last 10 days of work. Damnation.
-
I suspect the problem occurred when I last upgraded OSX, but who knows?
-
Barbra on Michael Buble's Christmas special on NBC in 3 minutes (Eastern time)!

VIBES DR ELMORE!
-
Last night we watched a very fun movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy", and laughed a lot.
-
I thought I would sleep well after that, but no I didn't fall asleep until after 4:00 this morning. I'm feeling it now.
-

I saw that in a theater and really enjoyed it, too!

Thanks to DRs John G, JRand, ChasSmith, and Jane for the nice comments about Mom's move.
-
Richard and I are back from a delightful Wednesday date at Light Up Middletown and Applebee's.

-
Vibes for Elmore.
-
We played "Carol of the Bells" tonight during Advent service. Not my favorite, and my partner in the main melody went home sick. Our organist, who hasn't played bells in 10 years, stepped in. And we did fine. People loved it. There were a few minor glitches, but the congregation didn't know it.
-
Last night of getting stuff together before leaving for Louisville in the morning.
-
Last night we watched a very fun movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy", and laughed a lot.
I saw that in a theater and really enjoyed it, too!
I hope there will be a sequel.

But first ...

4our!
-
Well, I just had my evaluation and I get to work for another year. ;) It all went pretty well, so that's good.
-
I'm not surprised George but I am sure you are relieved.
-
And now, I must be off. A friend of mine is having a reading of "Laughing Stock" before he directs the show early next year, and he asked me to read one of the roles (Craig, the managing director). I'm sure that it'll be fun! I don't know if he wants me to audition for it, but if he would like me to, I'd certainly consider it. I haven't done a non-Shakespeare non-musical play in many years...except for "Hollywood Who-Done-It" last year.
Until later!
-
I'm not surprised George but I am sure you are relieved.
Always!
-
:)
-
Watching Nuncrackers. Yet another sequel to Nunsense. It's rather ho-hum. But it was fun to see Rue MacClanahan.
-

Yes, that's the one. OOP for twenty years.
-
Oh dear.
-
Classical Broadway will have all new packaging, a new preamble by yours truly and spruced up sound. I hadn't heard it in twenty-two years and I was astonished at how good the music is and how clean the recording is. The mastering back then is not thrilling to me, so it's getting that fresh coat of paint.
-
Listening to the soundtrack to The Imitation Game - kind of typical Alexandre Desplat, but enjoyable.
-
Listened to our next release again and am very happy with the little sequence changes I made.
-
Then I have Into the Woods double CD here, which I bought mostly for the underscore. The problem loading these things into iTunes is they way they list the performers - if it's what they usually do then every track will be under that performer's name and therefore not in any kind of order unless you bring up the album itself, which I prefer not to do.
-
Sad to be all alone in the world.
-
I am my own frenzy.
-
Nothing can stop me.
-
I shall post until the cows come home.
-
Starting this weekend I have to do my usual organizing and getting the house presentable for the Christmas Eve Do. Lots of stuff to get put away and/or moved to the garage environment.
-

Sounds like why I don't want an assistant
-
I packed up Gabe's present tonight and will take it to the post office tomorrow. Today turned out to be busier than I thought it would, but that's ok
-
I have to laugh at the holidays. I can go for months and maybe go to one or two get-togethers of some sort. Now I've got 5 or 6 in 10 days plus going home for Christmas. Don't get me wrong I love seeing my friends, but sheesh! I was hoping to have some time to myself
-
Ok, here's a minor pet peeve I have. I'm invited to a New Years Eve party. That's cool. I offered to cook something as everyone always brings a dish. The hostess asked me to bring my flute instead. I have absolutely no interest in taking my flute to their party. I don't want to be the entertainment, I want to go to the party. Yes, I could improvise something, but I don't want to and I don't want to feel obligated to spend the whole evening there. It's in a very nice place, but it's a long way from my house and I don't really like to go out on New Years Eve. I'll have to talk to Cindy, but sheesh
-
We have a lot of mutual friends who are artists, I don't think she's asking any of them to bring an easel and paints.
-
Oh gees, it's after midnight. I have a busy morning tomorrow. The cat sitter is going to meet the cats tomorrow. I'm really not comfortable with that whole situation either, but we'll see what happens when she comes over.
-
Goodnss, page four!
-
And Cilla is off to bed.
-
I have been in or on the bed since early this afternoon.... Okay three o'clock.
-
Let us get to page five.
-
Almost there
-
Page Five!
-
I watched Barbra tonight. I wish I could figure out what it is I don't like about Michael Buble.
-
Just took a good look at the calendar....I have time between Christmas and New Years, so I'm going to quit whining about actually being invited to spend time with people. It's funny, I'm becoming more reclusive than I used to be, or maybe I just love being alone. In any event, when I have too many things with other people outside of work too many days in a row, it drives me crazy. Luckily the only thing I added today was seeing Wild on Sunday with a good friend. I really want to see that movie so it will be fun
-
He has a nice voice, he is nice looking, but I just don't like him.

-
I had fun wrapping Gabe's present and I played with some of my new art stuff. It got me away from the TV and off the computer for a few hours. I want to start doing more of my projects upstairs where I can listen to the stereo. I think it will be a nice change

Well, I mean I enjoy not having humans around
-
That is why I never feel alone. I have Nicky!
-
He has a nice voice, he is nice looking, but I just don't like him.
Ok. You don't have to have a reason, you can just not like him
-
I very rarely feel lonely. That's something I think is much different than being alone.
-
How is Nicky?
-
I used to do a lot of paint by number. It proved to me that I have no artistic talent.
-
He has a nice voice, he is nice looking, but I just don't like him.
Ok. You don't have to have a reason, you can just not like him
Thank you, I will.
-
No one is alone - truly.
-
Put the motor car in the garage, listening to The Imitation Game (almost done) and then it's a nice hot shower for me! And dinner tomorrow night? The Smoke House!
-
How is Nicky?
Nicky is great. He is fat and sassy. Which is a good thing.
-
LOL. I was looking at the paint by number tonight and decided it looked to detailed for me today. Instead I got out my hipster coloring book, my markers, colored pencils and crayons and had a blast coloring. Sounds goofy, but I enjoyed it
-

Good to hear.
-
So, Stephen Collins admits he a molester!
-
After I cleaned the animal markings off the outside of the sliding glass door and had my yard cleaned, the cats stopped fighting. I'm not putting out as much bird food either. I do have the suet out for the woodpeckers and have a beautiful downy that comes here all the time. But I just can't have the whole wild kingdom in my yard and have sane cats too
-
Maybe I need those ones where you just wet the paint brush and brush it over the paper and it puts the right color on the paper.
-
I wonder if they will now start deporting people to Cuba.
-
BK, how many are you expecting on Christmas Eve at the Do?
-
Maybe I need those ones where you just wet the paint brush and brush it over the paper and it puts the right color on the paper.
I used to have those, lol. I actually bought some crayons today. I don't know if I'm reverting to my childhood or just going back to the things I used to enjoy doing then. I think it was the card making party that made me realize I like doing these crafty things. Of course once I'm done making them, I don't really have any interest in them anymore. It's just the doing it I enjoy
-
I'm looking forward to seeing Ashley Brown with the Sioux City Symphony in February. It's on Valentine's day. I loved listening to her sing Feed The Birds on the Disney Broadway special.
-
TCB do you have Christmas plans?
-
Maybe I should try coloring again. When i was a kid, I could never stay within the lines.
-
I'll stick around for page 6 then I need to go
-
Maybe I should try coloring again. When i was a kid, I could never stay within the lines.
Well who says you have to?
-
TCB do you have Christmas plans?
I will go to my sister's house on Christmas Day for dinner and presents. Then I will be home by five or six.
-
Thank you for asking, Cilla.
-
Where did Stephen Collins admit that?
-
They are having a concert to celebrate the Jackson Pollock mural that's been on display at our art center for the last 6 months. Some of my artist friends are having a party a couple weeks before where we are all bringing some piece of clothing and will turn it in to our own wearable Pollock and then we'll all wear them to the concert. I'm thinking I'll take a cap. Anything else would be stiff and uncomfortable after it was covered in paint
-
Maybe I should try coloring again. When i was a kid, I could never stay within the lines.
Well who says you have to?
LOL! It wasn't because of the drive for artistic freedom, it was just that I was a weird child.

Well I'm a 53 year old who is coloring in coloring books, lol that's pretty weird for an adult

We can hope. Normally the more my sister and brother-in-law drink, the angrier my niece and step nephew will get. Eventually, I am just glad to get out alive.

I really must get some sleep.....night all
-

Here's a story about Stephen Collins' admissions to exposing himself to three girls
Sorry, I should never repeat what I hear on the news when I am have asleep.

G'night!

It was a lot of fun...and very funny! It's like "Noises Off" but without the two-story set. The character that I read has a monologue about pencils and Coca Cola and it was VERY funny! People liked the way I read it...that was nice to hear. I'll definitely audition (in early February) if I'm not involved in anything else. :D

I very rarely feel lonely. That's something I think is much different than being alone.
I feel the same way. I like being by myself a lot.

Maybe I should try coloring again. When i was a kid, I could never stay within the lines.
LOL! It wasn't because of the drive for artistic freedom, it was just that i was a weird child.
Well who says you have to?
Well I'm a 53 year old who is coloring in coloring books, lol that's pretty weird for an adult
That's not weird...good for you!

A one-off "holiday spectacular" episode of "The Sing-Off" was on tonight. I'm watching it now and thoroughly enjoying it. I love the singers...all the groups have been very good.
-
But they haven't been singing holiday songs. It's like a regular episode, but there were only six groups, three were eliminated after they all sang one song, and now the last three groups get to sing another song, then the judges will decide the winner tonight. That winning group will get $50.000.

Pentatonix won season 3 and have since become a well-known group in their own right. They performed on tonight's episode as a guest group. They were fantastic!
