Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of tummy trouble and Tuesday, and now it is time for you to post until the troubled cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SORORAL!
-
Nothing new to report at the moment.
-
Except that the site seems to be zipping along swimmingly.

Morning all.
That is all.
-
good morning to all

good morning to all
DITTO!!!

-
Good morning, all.
Tried to rise and shine earlier, but found I could do neither.
Coffee!
-
We watched BOYHOOD last night. It's a little long, but we really liked it.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! It's sunny and c-c-c-cold here in SW Ohio. Today I get to start undecking the halls.
-
My weather app says the outside temp is 6o.
-
Good morning, all! I slept late. I have discovered that I'm too old and self-indulgent to schedule ore than two days in a row to be out of bed between 6 and 6:30am.
Today's a home day: I've got some new piano parts to write for sectins of the Moross score and three more numbers to finish Act One. Yesterday, Curtis informed me that the internet is back up at the office, I can spend some time over the weekend and next week getting the Act One edits to the copyist.
DR slingshot, I didn't mean to put you on the spot about the complete 110 In The Shade recording. All the materials for the appendix came from the City Opera production and that was, I believe, the source of BK's wish to Harvey Schmidt that "Evening Star" be expanded as a song. As to the Roundabout revival, I have no idea what they did to the song since I have no wish to know anything about that mess.
-
New Piano Parts is the title of my new murder mystery.
-
Three degrees here with a wind chill of minus twenty three.
I started the car and drove to the gas station to buy a newspaper for my father. Gasoline has gone up almost 30 cents since Sunday morning.
-
Very glad to hear Toyland's internet is back up!
-
Darned CBS! Two of my shows - NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans - had "new" episodes last night. What they never warned us about was that "each" was a "to-be-continued" episode. I HATE "to-be-continued" episodes.
-
It is Fahrenheit 42 degrees in Oakland right now. The "feels-like" temp is also 42 degrees.
-
The work day beckons, and is using the wrong finger to get my attention.
No, wait! That's my finger...
-
Why is it so cold? tonight there is supposed to be a windchill of -38C. Yuck!
-
Blame Canada. Arctic air masses always move into the U.S. from Canada, and I guess they start "in" Canada before moving down here.
:D
-
Exactly. It's high time we put up a wall.
-
It's just come back to me within the past hour that I had a short but interesting, almost surreal, dream about Hollywood Blvd., largely regarding "my" intersection at Whitley and the former House of Pies storefront. I'm also trying to retrieve another dream just before it, or another part of that dream, that feels like it has the potential of being even more interesting. Damn it!
-
Good morning.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Tuesday's tummy trouble--to borrow BK's phrase--seems to be over for me, but the sore throat is definitely back and brought a cough with it this time. I called my dentist and rescheduled next week's big procedure, as I cannot say if I'll be sick or well. I've been drinking herb tea and keeping warm.
-
I may see BIG EYES and INTO THE WOODS today....time will tell.
-
Well, I guess I had over eleven hours of blessed sleep. I was out like a light instantly and the helper arrived twenty minutes ago and that's what woke me up.
-
Tummy is still not quite to rights so today I will definitely be careful about any food ingested.
-
Very interesting article in the NY Times today about a new antibiotic, teixobactin. It won't be ready for human use for another five years or so, but it offers major advantages over the old antibiotics. It will useful against staph and strep, plus anthrax and TB. The research is a real breakthroough.

-
TTFN.
-
I do not understand page two?
-
Helper is gone.
-
I'll futz and finesse, write a bit and then have something really mild and light for lunch.
-
Good tummy vibes for BK.
-
This is how I feel:

That's a good rule of thumb. ;)
-
DR Cilla thanks for the update on your DN.
Wishing her well on Thursday!!!!!
-
DR Jeanne your lunch yesterday sounded yummy. I hope you are feeling better today.
-
From DR George:
I'm really enjoying "Agent Carter.
Good. We watched a movie I picked up from Redbox, "Boyhood". It is the film that was shot over a 12 year time period so that the cast, and most important the children, all aged naturally as the story progressed. It was interesting and well done.
-
Thank you DR Jeanne. I am almost recovered-lol.

Did you not see my post yesterday? ;)

We watched BOYHOOD last night. It's a little long, but we really liked it.
Hmmm, I didn't find it long.
-
Curtis informed me that the internet is back up at the office,
Vibes you don't lose it again!!

I really want to see that, too.
-
I did a lot of futzing and finessing and added an entire page of fun stuff - then started the new writing. I've probably done two new pages. I'll go eat something after I write two more.
-
I may get Boyhood from a Redbox when I go to Florida this weekend -- if it gets too cold to swim.
-
Do you swim if it is warm?
-
It is 5 whole degrees here now....with a "feels like" of minus 21 degrees.
-
Feel better vibes and writing vibes for MR BK.
Feel better vibes for DR SINGDAW.
I hope DR RLP survived his work day.
-
Do you swim if it is warm?
I swim every chance I get.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Do you think a film version of COMPANY is possible....how do you think it could be done?
-
15 here, heading down to -1 tonight.
-
Do you swim if it is warm?
I swim every chance I get.
I would like to swim more but long hair is a pain to deal with, as is going to a public pool
-

This is a neighborhood pool, which is a little better than one open to the public. It's also heated, which is nice.
-
Our Y pool is also nicely heated, the way I like it. They re-opened it recently after fixing it up. The water is still on the cool side. I'll wait until it warms up before I return.
-
BK, I hope you're feeling better. Are you sipping ginger ale today?
I have finally finished up the notes on "The Ballad of Belle Boyd," which I think is the longest sequence of Gentlemen Be seated! It's very funny, and I wish I'd seen Alice Ghostley play Confederate spy Belle Boyd, vamping Yankee generals and confounding Pinkerton Men.
-
Time to ponder dinner. Hmmm . . .
-
American Horror Story: Freak Show returns with a new episode tonight, as does TOP CHEF......and all of the ABC comedies.....
-
I had chicken and noodles for dinner....I had been thinking about them since DR CILLA LIZ mentioned them earlier this week.
-
PAGE THREE.....Gisele Dance.

Recorded Live at an Actual Performance!!! And an autograph on her skirt.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Do you think a film version of COMPANY is possible....how do you think it could be done?
I'm sure it could be figured out, but the property is so inherently theatrical that it would take a clever screenwriter to adapt it. It's a shame they didn't do it in the 70s.
-
Back from a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich and picking up a couple of packages.
-
Then went back to writing. With the additions I've made, I've done about five or six pages so far and will do another five or six before the end of the evening.
-
Ah.....perhaps someone will come up with something.....hopefully not the creators of PETER PAN and THE SOUND OF MUSIC both LIVE!
-
Page 3?
-
Well, it's freezing here in the DC area. It's going to be in the teens and maybe below that in the morning.
-
BK--are you saying what type of book you're writing?
-
I like how "The Middle" shows a house that's not in perfect order.

Did the schools open late today?
-
Time for me to leave work. I have more laundry and some TV watching to do.
Be back later. :)

Definitely not a photo of Minnesota today
-
My weather app says the outside temp is 6o.
We made it to a high of 4 degrees today. Everything is cancelled because the wind chills are -30 to -50...well everything except the bell choir practice at Grace Methodist Church, lol. Those bell ringers are a tough breed
-
I had chicken and noodles for dinner....I had been thinking about them since DR CILLA LIZ mentioned them earlier this week.
I love chicken and noodles. It's my go to comfort food whether I'm sick, down, happy, cold....well I like them a lot. I have enough in the freezer from the batch I made the other day to make 4 more meals. It's great to heat one up after a long day at work.
-
It is fun to watch the cancellations across the bottom of the screen. You learn about all sorts of groups, some make me chuckle. I was glad band rehearsal was cancelled as I was planning to skip. It's too cold to risk being caught in it if your car dies

Seriously the crawl of cancellations said Grace Methodist Church All activities cancelled except bell choir rehearsal. That's actually quite crazy as I know some of the members of that bell choir drive in from out of town.
-
Haven't talked to Sam today. Had a long talk with her mom last night. They are all still concerned and are very anxious to hear how her checkup goes tomorrow.
-
The interesting thing about this weather to me is it's the only time my hands don't swell and I don't have to take Aleve every day. I really don't mind the cold
-
Such sad news from Paris. This world is such a crazy place sometimes and not in a good way
-
I have a short road trip to see a client in jail tomorrow. Luckily it's after the wind chill advisory ends and before the winter weather advisory begins, lol
-

Alice Ghostley was one of the funniest people on the planet. Her role on "Designing Women" took that show into areas of strangeness that were so hilariously right that it tempered the preachiness of some of the scripts.
-
interenet has been very spotty here for no particular reason
-

Amen.

Back then, they could have filmed it like a Laugh-In episode. It wouldn't have been one for the ages, but one for its age.
-
Watching the Brandy version of Cinderella and am surprised at how well it works. It's better than the Leslie Ann Warren version, thought that's the one I grew up with and feel a great fondness for. But if you think this is targeted for children, it's quite charming.
-
Spent some time this afternoon trying to log in here. Even though I followed instructions for setting a new password, my work computer would not cooperate. Happily, BK and his techs checked things out, determined it was definitely "me", and re-set a temporary password that they checked out as good.
As you can see, I am back online. Only trouble I have is that I am ready for bed rather than chit-chat. Sigh.
Thanks, Bruce, for getting me back into the fold.
-
Welcome back, Ron Pulliam.
-
Good night, all.
-
But first, page four!
-
Time for me to leave work. I have more laundry and some TV watching to do.
Be back later. :)
I'm up in my bedroom, watching TV and posting from my new tablet with my wi-fi that works!
-
The only real (but superficial) problem is that my bed is not the most comfortable place to type from...but I'll deal with it. ;)
-
Page four? Really? All-time lowest posting day? Really? And why is that? Who exactly went missing all day and night? Fifteen minutes for a frenzy or nine - but with people watching tablets and sleeping and being on Facebook, it's not looking too wonderful.
-
Finished my viewing, wrote another five or six pages - I think I did a bit over twelve, then took a hot shower, where I got a couple of good ideas for the book.
-
And no, I haven't said what kind of book it is, but will soon.
-
AND my battery's going on more than 9, count 'em, NINE hours from the last charge!
-
Full disclosure...a few of those nine hours were with my tablet in sleep mode, but still, it has SO much battery life!
-
So...

It would be nice if all our lovely dear readers were here.
-
But alas...
-
They are off being WUSSBURGERS.
-
New notes are posted.
-
Somehow I don't think page six will be appearing.
-
Tablets. That reminds me of the little joke I made up: Moses wasn't feeling well - had a terrible headache and was achy all over. He said to the Lord, "Lord, I have a terrible headache and am achy all over." And the Lord spoke to Moses and said, "Go up to Mount Sinai and take two tablets."
Most amusing.
-
My Internet just went down for a moment. How irritating.
-
Maybe it didn't like the joke.
