And the word of the day is: NONESUCH!
Happy Birthday to my dear friend Kerry. I am sorry to say I haven't seen him in way too long. We'll make up for that-- and have cake. Lots and lots of cake.
Jane, are you thinking about making them? Let me know if you do. I don't know anyone else who's had them.
Jane, have you come across this, yet?: 23 Reasons Bernese Mountain Dogs Are The Champions Of Our Hearts.
Nope but it's rolled over to 317 million
Wow! In the There are still great kids out there department. I was sitting here thinking about doing the driveway and walk (truthfully, I don't mind doing it) when three teenagers knocked on my door and said they would shovel my walk and driveway for 5 dollars a piece. Seriously, $5 to shovel isn't very much. That's hard work. I was so impressed that they are out in the cold and the wind helping people and actually working with a smile to make a little money, that I gave them $10 each.(still not much but it only took them about 15 minutes and I let them use my snowblower for the driveway) It isn't perfect, but the wind is still blowing so I'll touch it up later when the wind dies. They were surprised I gave them more than they asked for. They restored my faith in teenagers a little, it was worth it.
246 miles from home sprinkling of snow on grass and byways
What is the weather doing Chas?
Everyone should post their thoughts on Company and the productions they've seen.

And you probably restored their faith in fair grown ups!
I'm taking a certain Pennebaker DVD off the shelf to watch later. Been far too long since I've seen it.
I saw the national company of COMPANY with Julie Wilson, Gary Krawford, and Louisa Flaningam. it was quite wonderful. The second prduction I saw as at Wright state University n Dayton, OH,around 1977 because an actor with whom I'd worked in dnner theatre was in the cast. His name was Kip Rookstool, and he moved to New York as soon as he graduated. When I got to Manhattan, I called him and we planned to meet for coffee, which never happened. About a year later I was on the subway platform reading one of the papers. Kip was visiting his boyfriend when the super sent a couple of killers to get rid of an irksome tenant. They were both murdered. A houseguest escaped to get the police and identify the killers. Such a loss.
LOL, there was just a penalty for licking the kicker....yes I'm still watching the Kitten bowlYou get penalized for licking the kicker?!?!?!

How many members of her family has she employed there now?
Well so now EVERYONE knows how to do it.

Hopefully they will return on the next snow day they aren't in school.
DR Elmore, that's so tragic!
I saw a tour of COMPANY in Ann Arbor in which Tandy Cronyn played Amy. And COMPANY was the last show I did with our local community theatre, playing Sarah. I was in way over my head...
That is a frightening and sad story DR ELMORE.

Thanks for the info, DR JANE......so she off destroying some other theatre now.....
When I was downstairs I stopped by the desk and made a preliminary inquiry about extending my stay if my Tuesday flight gets cancelled. Not panicking yet, just thinking ahead...
They said there would be no problem.
Wow, 16 inches of snow in Chicago. Glad you stayed in Ginny
Nice Brady Bunch-themed Snickers ad

No, thank you.
Really. No.
I keep buying COMPANY cd's.....and I keep going back to the OBC. I also love the documentary that was made when they recorded the Cast Album.
I also am underwhelmed by the unnecessary updating of the show......I saw the Raul version where everyone played instruments and it was awful....also saw the NPH version and it was....well I don't know if it was worse, but it was just as bad.

Well, since we're so close...
(as DR George is wont to say)
JohnG, I know the audience loved Tick Tock - I loved Tick Tock and I think the show NEEDS Tick Tock and it should be there. It's a wonderfully theatrical moment. Of course you need a real choreographer and a real dancer to do it.

Yeah, that's how I do it when I have my computer, but copying and pasting is tricky on the iPad mini.
Nice Brady Bunch-themed Snickers ad
Loved it and the Fiat ad. The rest of them were kind of meh.
The nadir for me was the Kim Kardashian ad.
