Good morning, all! My friends Bruce Pomahac and Annalene Beechey, her husband Simon, and their children Harry and Rose ran throughout my dreams last night: we were recording Victor Herbert songs, we were meeting for brunch, I was sending Bruce to London with shopping bags of music for her to peruse. Thanks DR Elmore.
So, I'm out of bed and ready to run to pharmacy and market, and then get back to my Encores! work.
DR Cillaliz, if I'd been awake last night when DR singdaw posted about your immigration work, I'd have added Big Ditto. I was sorry to see that you'd had a hellish week over a criminal case.
Seriously, people, did we ever doubt that BK's production would not be a success? I hope the sales for the run are really good.
Saturday morning greetings! I lost all of yesterday to a stomach bug that hit Rob even harder. Richard spent the day nursing both of us and shopping for Jello and Gatorade. Better today but not setting the world on fire...
I don't think the work thing would have bothered me so much if I hadn't been sandbagged by someone I've known for over 20 years and considered a friend. Why do people do things like that?

Yikes, I guess I missed some pages while I was ketching up.
I think it's great that Liam has joined your family!

If I ever mention to you that I'm going to do gardening, tell me to forget it, mix a drink and do something I'm qualified for.Oh my! I started to laugh until I read about the glass shard.....fast healing vibes to you!!!!
I was attempting to remove an unwanted volunteer tree when my butt backed into a window. Window broke and a shard cut the back of my leg.
Trip to the ER was fun as they're tearing up the road out front and redirecting traffic a long way around.
I'm okay but embarrassed.

Good thoughts to Jane.

Our dog Liam seems to be doing extremely well. This is my first full day with him here, since I'd been at the tax office every other day since he joined us.
I'm okay but embarrassed.
I am a lot better but light is bothering me. so i am sitting here in the dark and it is fine.
I am trying to figure out if the next pill i take should be for my sinuses because i feel some pressure there. i am not very good at figuring out what to take.

Me too. I have to go back and find this.
DR JRand64 was going to post this today.
My roast and potatoes and carrots was very good. Time to get dressed and be on my way to see Ashley Brown with the Symphony. It's very cold...4 degrees tonight plus wind chill, but I'm going to go. I think it will be fun to get out and hear some good music.
They seem to have fixed the worst of it - I'm sure by tomorrow all will be back to normal.

Break a leg!
Thank you, all.
Victim, I covered over the window with plastic and left a message about getting it replaced. The good news is that it was a storm window. And there's another pane of glass inside, so it's not open and exposed to the elements.
Cale = able in autocorrect
Happy valentines' day Tommy
It is snowing and the wind is blowing but vixdad took me out to dinner.

How nice! Are you getting much snow?
Just about an inch so far but it suppose to get heavier after midnight
I have always hated Valentine's Day.
Steal = Steak, methinks.
Autocorrect, what's up? You don't have steak?

Maybe autocorrect is a vegetarian and it thinks meat is a crime

Jane I am very sorry for your loss
Thank you. I have pulled apart drawers and cabinets, etc to be re-organized and put back before I leave this weekend. Much of it I can't put back until after the new carpets are installed on Tuesday. Fingers crossed the carpet actually arrives at the store on Monday night.

Have a good time! I hope I've got work in the concert.
FJL I look forward to meeting Liam
Tomorrow, I have church in the morning, a St. Olaf Choir concert in the afternoon, and then I will be working - perhaps until midnight. We shall see.
The late and extra work hours are only because it is the end of open enrollment for healthcare, DR TCB.
Well I've been brooding about it for days. Tonight was really fun though, sort of brought me out of the funkI don't think the work thing would have bothered me so much if I hadn't been sandbagged by someone I've known for over 20 years and considered a friend. Why do people do things like that?

Sorry you got stabbed in the back. Typical of you, you found a way to make something good out of it.
I'm listening to Mr. McGlinn's BRIGADOON right now. I find it an incredibly beautiful album.

Night TCB - I'm watching Saturday night live...it's from 1975, not sure if it's the first episode, but it's the original cast
Congratulations, George!
Six years ago, on Feb. 14, 2009, John McGlinn's body was discovered when the police broke into his apartment. He had died from a heart attack several days earlier, but the actual time of death is unknown. Since then, I doubt there's not a day that passes without my mentioning or thinking of John; I cataloged his estate, and until last year I worked in an office surrounded by his scores, books, orchestra parts, and manuscripts.
I've said much ill about him and most likely will continue, and yet I owe much of my career to him. Until the Big Blowout of 2002, when he blamed Robert Kimball and me for his deserved removal from a project, we were friends. It was a strange friendship, because he had a stunted and extremely limited view of what friendship was. He probably considered me a better friend than I did him because negotiating John's megalomania, treachery, and manipulations were not always fun. For him, a good friend was someone on whose shoulder he could cry about his love life or allow him to talk about himself for hours. Occasionally the conversations were two-sided, like when he'd call and we'd start casting a concert or album together. Last year's release of ROBERTA was the end of something we'd cast for EMI around 1988 and never happened.
Still, in the 1980s, working on SHOWBOAT, the Danbury Concert, the Book of the Month Club, dealing with diva Kiri Te Kanawa, and sitting in the Carnegie Recital Hall and letting him know when the band was too loud are some of my most cherished memories. Thank you, John! I will listen to one of your CDs today and mourn you.

I just had a request from our DR ChasSmith:
If you are by any chance one of those able to connect, please tell them I can no longer get a single page to load on either HHW or Kritzerland. The sites are effectively hosed. But maybe it's still only for some and not others. Cilla's access was fine yesterday evening, as though nothing was amiss. Anyhoo, let me know if there's anything to know, and I'll try later today. Thanks, and may your lottery tickets be winners!
I am not having any problems on HHW. What browser are they using.
I woke up and felt fine. Then I did a puzzle in the tv guide. It was one of those ones where there is a maze. And for some reason when I was done I was seeing almost double. Soon after my head started to hurt. But it was very slight so I took 2 Advil.
But soon after my head started to hurt a lot more. I have a prescription for migraines (which i get rarely). But i was not sure how soon i could take the pills after taking the advil. I ended up taking them 2 hours later. It is a lot better but still not fine. But for some reason in the dark the computer screen is not bothering me.
I was going to watch Gone Girl on dvd and read. But i think I will have to wait until later. :(
On the up side I won 2 amazon gift cards today. Woohoo!!

I have always hated Valentine's Day.
I only finished half my steal and sweetpotato, carefully wrapped them up and
Then left the doggy bag on the table
Congrats to George on the casting news.
Went dancing and had no problems with the gouged leg. So, I think it was all a ruse to give the ER money.
