Well, you've read the notes, you know why the notes and the change of topic were late, and now it is time for you to post until the late cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SOLICITUDE!
-
Thanks for the concern, all is well with the site and if we're not on the new server by this evening, I'll be looking for a new web host.
-
HA! First after BK. Now I will read the notes.
-
Hurray for the opening night. It sounds wonderful. And the photos of course were very nice!
-
My car would not start this morning since it is so cold....even though it is in the carport. So I will try again a bit later.....time will tell.
-
BK,
Glad you're okay. I was just about to call somebody and ask them to drive over and check on you.
-
Good morning, all! I'm a little down this morning; it's the eighth anniversary of my dad's death. Who'd think I'd still be waiting for my idiot brothers to sell a piece of property after all this time. My memories of that last week with him in Ohio, because of the terrible weather, are how quiet Randy's and Jo's house was, sitting at Jo's computer and posting each event to all of you, and sitting beside him and waiting for the blade to fall.
Well, it's hard to be an orphan at 60.
-
I'm really happy to see DR JRand64 back with us this morning. And DR TCB last night.
-
Sunday morning greetings! Church in Lima was called off for today due to severe cold and wind. I'm still kind of shaky, so will probably stay in another day.
-
DR Cillaliz, did the program credit me for that orchestration of "Feed the Birds"? I'm sure it was mine, but she was so difficult about paying me for the work in 2007 that for all I know she's now using another arrangement. I'm happy that it sounded good and that you had a great time.
How was Geoff?

I am staying inside today. I've got some Encores! work to lay out and things to prep fr my meeting with Joshie tomorrow.

{{{{{Hugs}}}}} for DR Elmore.
I remember that week well, because Richard was away at the seminary in Wisconsin.
-
So glad we're all back online!
VIBES for DR Elmore, and to all the rest of yez who needs 'em for any and all purposes. Spend 'em whenever and wherever you wish! :)
-
I've started packing up my keyboard and related goodies to schlep to our first SHE LOVES ME band rehearsal.
-
The notes were well worth waiting for.
So glad to read that INSIDE OUT had such a successful opening. Congratulations to all involved!
-
I'm saying band rehearsal. Our MD is saying orchestra rehearsal. I wonder who's correct! :D

DITTO!!!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Just balanced 2 checkbooks - mine and Mom's. Balancing Mom's is very satisfying because it was a mess when I took possession of it 2 months ago. She hadn't been entering her automatic deposits and withdrawals and I finally have it the way I think a checkbook should be. Online access helps...

The program just said "Musical numbers will be announced from the stage" or something like that. And they really didn't announce much other than giving background on some of the songs or saying "This was my grandmother's favorite" without saying what the song was (it was "I'll Be Seeing You" if that's the title). So, no, you weren't credited, but neither was anyone else.
Geoff was wonderful. He did a couple songs himself and then they did two or three duets which was a lot of fun

Ok, off to get ready for our AACB concert this afternoon.
-
Ok, off to get ready for our AACB concert this afternoon.
Break a leg! And most importantly have fun!
-
I'm up, I'm up - again. I think I got six hours somewhere.
-
The photos of Inside Out are just gorgeous. Glad opening night was such a success.
-
Congratulations on a great opening night bk
-
We only got about an inch of snow so despite the wind and the cold I cleaned off the cars cleared the drive and walkway threw down some ice melt and set off for church
-
One of our council members and his son were there already clearing and salting the walkways
-
I found out that the substitute sexton covering for the vacationing Vixter did not set up any of the tables or chairs so I got to set up those as well as get coffee made and cakes cut and everything ready to serve
-
Still on Page One?
-
Nononononononononpo! This will not do! I have something for page 2!

Congrats. Larry!!!!! As down as you get on your life sometimes, boy, does it read like you've had such wonderful accomplishments.
-
I took my dog to the vet today and he ended up having surgery. Hopefully he'll be ready to be picked up within the hour.
-
Nice write up DR ELMORE.
-
My car continues to be a non-starter.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks! I do wish some of that Sondheim Pulitzer luck would rub off on me! I just hope the article leads to some work.
-
My car continues to be a non-starter.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
How cold is it outside, DR JRand64?
-
Very nice article, DR Elmore - Love & Honor!
-
Where the hell is everyone? It's too cold to go out.
-
I'm back. I was a fun concert, but then it always is. We have a small but loyal following. Seriously, every concert is a fundraiser for a nonprofit. This was just to get lights for the auditorium. Not a big cause on a cold cold day. Next time it's for the Humane Society. I bet we'll have a better turn out for that one. Truth be told, I just enjoy playing.
-
the big SNL 40 is tonight. I'm recording it, not sure I want to watch the whole thing. And I'm very anxious to watch Downton tonight
-
DR Elmore CONGRATS!!!!!!!
-
Sometimes when we need that little boost it happens in ways we didn't really expect. Hope this brings you lots of work
-
There's just something wrong about Saturday Night Live on Sunday
-
Are people still having trouble getting on the site?
-
Hmmmm I still haven't had a problem...don't know why
-
Not that I need any problems
-
I certainly don't
-
But we don't need to be on page 2 either!
-
Soo....I guess I'll have to get us to page 3
-
I did enjoy the first SNL last night
-
It started when I was in high school. My best friend and I watched it every weekend. Usually with a pizza, or popcorn
-
My shoulders are sore, we played The Great Steamboat Race and I played the water jugs. We shook them to make them sound like the paddle wheel going through the water. It was fun, but I'm sore
-
I decided to take tomorrow off. Paul an I are going to the matinee of Whiplash
-
Not sure if I"ll see anything else.
-
My former neighbor wants to get together. I"m not sure that's going to work with the movie. I'll fit it in this week sometime, haven't talked to her in ages
-
They are doing a red carpet for arrivals for the SNL special
-
Should I even bother watching the NBC nightly news?
-
Page 3, I'm all alone dance
-
Dancing with myself
-
Think I'll eat cake
-
Let them eat cake!!!
-

I wanna see a photo of this act! I'm sorry your shoulders ache, but I would love a photo.
Sounds like your concert was a lot of fun.
-
Now this gave me a huge laugh! Has anyone actually read the book?
-
Yes I agree we need photos of DR CILLA LIZ in concert.
-
DR ELMORE when it got to be 19 degrees, I went outside and my car started. I was letting it idle for a few minutes, when my brother Kent came by.
He had seen my post on Facebook.
He had a handy, dandy tool that cleaned the battery posts, and there was some blue stuff on one of them. So he did that for me. I think it is fine now.
We shall see tomorrow.....which is President's Day AND my first day of rehearsal for ANTIGONE.
-
I got a FB message from vixmom: Can't get into HHW it keeps telling me my password is incorrect — feeling aggravated.
-

Sounds like your concert was a lot of fun.
There are a lot of other groups that you can find on Youtube if you search for The Great Steamboat Race. I think it's Robert W Smith. I don't think anyone took photos of us. If I see one, I'll share it
-
But there is an actual percussion part for water jugs. And an ocean drum and a break drum all sorts of fun stuff
-
Louis Jourdan has died. A long life, he was 93, but he'll always be Gaston in GIGI for me.
-
From DR Vixmom:
Jane why are you planning on selling this home that you so clearly love and have spent so much time and effort to make perfect
For a new adventure??? We hope we are not making a mistake. The decision is getting us to clean out and finish putting the house in order. If we don't sell we will enjoy it even more, but what a pain to put it in order.
My cousin invited us to join he and his wife on a trip to China. I truly wanted to go. When we declined as the trip would interfere with getting the house on the market, even though we hadn't decided yet. I suppose we had to justify not taking the trip and actually go ahead and get the house ready to sell. It is interesting that little invite could change the course of our lives :D
-
Wow, it worked!!!!
-
Gees, the hour and a half will be over before they finish announcing the guests on SNL< lol
-
Kismet has recovered. He has to wear a cone so he won't lick. He hates wearing it. Just wants to be snuggle next to me.
-
Glad to hear Kismet has recovered, I hate those cones
-
I don't think I can watch 3 1/2 hours of SNL. I'm glad I recorded it but I'm too curious about Downton to not watch it now.
-
VIXMOM = if you can read this, sorry you can't log in.....wonder when we go to the new server
-
Nothing's affected my password or anyone else who's been on today. Of course, I stay logged on so maybe that's part of it?
-
I've never had any problems getting on at all, so I guess I'm not a good person to ask
-
I've been unable to log in here since about 4pm. That's when Richard and I left fot our pre-snowstorm trip to the grocery. Shopping wore me out.
-
Back from rehearsal, and from sitting in on a piano run-through, of which I could only stay through Act I become it was so bloody cold in the theater.
-
Congratulations on the alumni feature, DR Elmore!
-
Ok yesterday I could only get in on the IPAD and today only on the laptop
-
but I'm here..........!
(A Follies reference)
-
Elmore that was a lovely article, congratulations!
-
I took an unexpected nap this afternoon and now I have no news
-
Yesterday, nine pages with the site continually down. Today three, with it up most of the time. Go know.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Had a very good matinee with our understudy on - a lot of fumfering and a few forgotten lines, but the others covered and the gal did really well.
-
We only had about twenty-two people (first week matinees are the toughest) but boy were they loud and demonstrative, and our two show stoppers got the same kind of reaction they did with a full house.
-
BK< I think people have been having a lot of trouble getting on today too.
-
Dead tired here, or I'd stick around for a while. But it's time for sleep. It's partly from schlepping around out in the cold today. These brutal temperatures are as wearying as anything.
-
Congrats to BK and the cast of Inside Out for your successful opening night!! ;D
-
Today, I went to my sister's and put up a new shower curtain bar and some IKEA towel holders in my niece's bathroom.
-
I had to buy the shower curtain rod (with my sister's Home Depot card).
-
I then when to Jimmy Johns and had a sub...#16 Club Lulu®: Fresh sliced turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, & mayo. It was a little bland but still good.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
Thanks for the concern, all is well with the site and if we're not on the new server by this evening, I'll be looking for a new web host.
I thought that these sorts of problems weren't supposed to happen with this web host. :-\
-
The notes were well worth waiting for.
So glad to read that INSIDE OUT had such a successful opening. Congratulations to all involved!
Ditto and Ditto and Ditto!! ;D
-
I hope we get through the evening. From what I'm now being told, a piece of equipment at the data center has been malfunctioning. They're getting the replacement tomorrow and our guy is going down there to personally configure it and install. Once that happens we should be fine. It's not just us, it's all the sites they host. This is the part of the Internet I loathe.
-

the big SNL 40 is tonight. I'm recording it, not sure I want to watch the whole thing. And I'm very anxious to watch Downton tonight
I'm watching it now. I didn't get home until about 8:10, so I missed the beginning. It's supposed to be three and a half hours long, but the rebroadcast on Friday is scheduled for only three hours.
-
I wonder what they're going to cut...or will they just have fewer commercials. ::)
;)
-
Louis Jourdan has died. A long life, he was 93, but he'll always be Gaston in GIGI for me.
I'd just read that when I checked my e-mail. Wow...93. And he had been married to his wife for more than 60 years! She died just last year.
-
Kismet has recovered. He has to wear a cone so he won't lick. He hates wearing it. Just wants to be snuggle next to me.
Very good news, Mike!
-
I used to see Louis Jourdan all the time at Virgin Records on Sunset. He always looked great.
-
Page four? Really?
-
May as well take advantage of this.
-
Just relaxing, doing a little work on a song.
-
Page four is a bore.
-
Don't want page four no more.
-
Page five is alive.
-
On page five we can thrive.
-
Page four let's shut the door.
-
Why don't page five arrive?
-
Why deprive us of page five?
-
Finally.
-
BK, I have a question. Is your play "Deceit" available for amateur groups to do? I loaned my DVD to a friend and he really likes it. :)
-
Well, hello! I'm in. Tried for a LONG time this afternoon and finally gave up. But I'm here now -- and I have nothing to say to all you wonderful people out there in the dark
-
Saturday Night Live is doing their own In Memorium segment.
-
It was very nice.
-
Yes, George, if anyone is interested in it, just have them e-mail me.
-
I'm about to write and post the notes so pray for Rosemary's Baby that it all goes as it should.
-
I'm about to write and post the notes so pray for Rosemary's Baby that it all goes as it should.
Thanks! I'll let him know.
-
I don't think he would be able to do it anytime soon, but he's definitely interested.
-
Notes are written and ready to post.
-
Two minutes. I'll change the topic in a minute, too.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
CRANBERRIES!
-
UNDERPANTS!
-
VAMP TILL READY!
-
Post deleted.

So, I was just perusing YouTube after reading a FB thread about Grand Hotel and "We'll Take a Glass Together" on the Cast Recordings group. I wanted to find Jason Graae's version (found it HERE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xk2mCb9c-M)), but in the search results was this version from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade that was just posted to YouTube last September...it's Michael Jeter and David Carroll! I never knew that David Carroll had ever done this song on TV! HERE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTbWru3i8o4) is that link. :D
