Well, you've read the notes, the notes never knew, and now it is time for you to post until the knowing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DEMASSIFY!
-
I hope this means you are okay!
-
Well, I really MUST have been tired last night. I saved the notes, went to the form and that's all I really remember - I must have not even put them into the form and just went to bed. I was awakened of course by the phone ringing many times so I checked to see if the site was working and noticed the problem. All is well now and I'm going back to bed.
-
Sleep well!
-
Good uh, morning, all. :)
-
I just called both of BK's phone numbers and left messages. He had me rather worried. I'm happy to know that he isn't in an ER, a coma, a car and waiting for the jaws of life, or lying on the kitchen floor after choking on a ham sandwich.
-
Especially the latter, especially if it happened to be a Jewish holiday or something.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! I, too, was worried about BK and am glad to see things back to normal. I'm about to leave to do some errands and have lunch with my friend Becky.
-
Morning all.
That is all.

Part 2
-
The Shadow do.
-
Which is the punchline to a Flip Wilson joke.
-
I just called Tony Slide back and told him he didn't have to go check on BK.
-
Ah NOW it feels like Wednesday.
On Monday I got an email from the entertainment director or someone from Delta Upsilon that asked if I was available to do my usual beginning swing dance lessons at a DU-KAPPA mixer....that was happening on THURSDAY!!!
I said sure - usually I get at least four weeks notice - and then had to round up a partner....which I finally did. Said someone emailed me this morning and told me that the usual venue was not available, and that we would be in the old Dance Studio at the Lilly Center......
I don't think this poor guy is on top of things....

My cousin Edie came to visit today.

Glad the site issue was not a case of the Y2K willies a decade or so late.
-
Nice photo, JRand. Spiffy.
-
Very glad to know that BK is OK! :D

Nice picture, Jrand!

And Happy 50th Birthday to Dan M!
-
Does anyone know why he stopped posting? :-\
-
And now, I'm off to work!
Have a good day, all!
-
Thank you DR JOHNG and DR GEORGE.
-
Another big hello fro the actual (and the cultural) desert that is Phoenix!
We're still here.
I suppose I could go to Starbuck's and use their free WiFi to access this site. Except I don't drink coffee.
As long as I get to check in periodically until Cox Cable lets us back in.
Hugs to everybody!
-
Good afternoon!
-
Glad to hear BK is ok!
-
Happy birthday, Dan M.
-
It's a bit warmer today. Up to 59 degrees.
-
We can't just stop now!
-
Jack Is your cousin Edith ("Edie") named after your Aunt Edith?
-
And now we wait....we are in verdict watch for the Jodi Arias Penalty Phase Trial.
-
Two different sides of the family DR RLP........Aunt Edith was my mother's sister. Cousin Edie is my father's sister Bessie's daughter.

From DR Vixmom:
When everyone at the office was dreaming about what they would do with their mega millions win they were all talking about the cars they would get ... Lamboghinis etc. I just wanted to get my honda detailed
Also why you won't be broke within a couple of years as so many winners are.
-
Which is the punchline to a Flip Wilson joke.
My father told that joke long before Flip Wilson did. Supposedly a "substitute" Shadow said it.

Just a vision, DR JRand64, a real vision!
-
I have been printing Paypal invoices like mad and I've run out of ink. Damn!
I can't afford to buy more until tomorrow. Grrr . . .
-
Nice photo DR Jrand!
-
Well, I really MUST have been tired last night. I saved the notes, went to the form and that's all I really remember - I must have not even put them into the form and just went to bed.
Am I remembering correctly that you can then set the time for the notes to automatically post?
Had I been here I would have said not to worry the site just screwed up again ;D
-
I wasn't here because I was out hiking with my Wednesday group.
-
I didn't feel like driving anywhere, and wasn't sure I would be up to hiking this morning. Fortunately I felt better and they decided to hike at the lake so I was able to walk there and meet everyone and then walk back.
-
While chilly it was a beautiful morning for a hike at the lake.

My friend Evans Haile, who conducted the 1989 recording of BABES IN ARMS with Judy Kaye and Judy Blazer, was just appointed general director of Opera North. I am very happy for him.

Bryan is planning a trip to Moscow to get out a break from the weather in Cleveland ;D
Moscow because his wife is there doing research for her PhD.

Idaho or Russia?

What kind of PhD would rely upon a trip to Moscow, Idaho, DR George? ???
-
good afternoon everyone

ASK BK
If you could talk to the animals. Learn all their languages. Would you take an animal degree? Would you study elephant and eagle, buffalo and beagle, alligator, guinea pig, and flea.
If not what animals would you study?

To quote Thomas "Fats" Waller, "One never knows, do one?"
;)
-
Now this is amusing me, and i think DRs Ben and singsong will especially appreciate it:

The gazelle, of course.

Work session is done and went well.
-
After I posted this morning, I went back to bed but the phone kept ringing, so I really only got about an additional hour of sleep, so maybe seven all told - not enough.
-
I really appreciate that folks were concerned and I'm trying, but failing, to reconstruct the events of last night, which make no sense to me. I finished writing the notes right at midnight in the Word doc - then I cut and pasted from there, but apparently never went to the form and paste them in. Nor did I go back to this here board. I literally have no memory of anything after midnight other than getting in bed and being so tired that I really could not see straight. But here's the thing - I know I did not go to bed until after 12:30 because I remember thinking at one that if I slept until the alarm went off at eleven that I'd get ten hours of sleep. I'm beginning to think I was loading in the final master of Stormy Weather into iTunes and I may have gotten distracted by that and simply been too tired to remember that I hadn't actually posted the notes or changed the topic. It's really weird to me and I honestly don't get it.
-
In ten minutes I'll go have some food.
-
Thank you DR JANE and DR ELMORE....
Yes, DR JANE, that is the story.....maybe it was Orson Welles who told it.....
-
Page Three Tiresias Dance. My costume doesn't look like this....at least not in the production design plan I saw.

I shall soon be on my way to Antigone.
-
I shall soon be on my way to Wilton, Connecticut, for a dress rehearsal of the show I shall more or less enjoy playing, but which I am SO happy not to have my name on it.
-
Well we are both rehearsing tonight DR CHAS SMITH....have fun.
-
And I am off as well.....
-
Waiting in a doctor's office to discuss this cough. Meanwhile the world's loudest click is ticking off the seconds. Agh.
-

;D
Between Moscow & home she lived in Riga Lavia. She went home and then back to Moscow. I'm not sure where she will be next. I just hope she is home in time to find them an apartment in Chicago cuz Bryan won't have much time between jobs. I wish he could have visited her in Lavia but at least he is getting to Russia.
-
Thank you DR JANE and DR ELMORE....
Yes, DR JANE, that is the story.....maybe it was Orson Welles who told it.....
The way my father told the story I always thought he was listening to the show. I'll have to search for "the Shadow do". Here is a link to the show with the opening as Orson did it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJyWcUS9RIM
-
I can't find the substitute who goofed, only stories that it happened. Who knows...... ;D
-
I've had some pasta and fresh broccoli for dinner, and now I am going back to the taxes. So far today, I've done income (very easy snce there was sooooo little), utilities, and cable TV and computer. I'll work on transportation, entertainment, office supplies and postage tonight.
Tomorrow, after I pick up my Encores! check, I'll have tea with Annalene, then stop at the bank, deposit the check and head to Staples for printer ink. I will accomplish nothing on Friday, since i'm in orchestra rehearsal all day.

Back from a cup of soup and an omelet.

After exhaustive testing, the problem for Laura, Kerry and KevinH is indeed cox.net. These types of internet providers simply don't want to take the time to even see if they are the problem - they let others do. I have no provided KevinH with the exact information he needs to let these idiots know that they have to fix this problem in order for their customers to be able to access our site. I told him if he was willing to call one more time to get a tech person on the phone then not get off until they get him a supervisor. Then send the supervisor the info while making the supervisor remain on the phone - then that person can do the exact same tests we did and will get the exact same result. If that doesn't work, I've given KevinH an alternate plan.
-
Becky and I had a nice lunch and a long visit at Panera. I'm In for the evening...

BK--I'm too tired for a long conversation tonight. I'll let you know when I call. Do you know if it would fix things if I downloaded Google Chrome? I keep getting suggestions to do that.

We're expecting 1 to 2 inches of snow in the morning, enough to cause chaos. I predict the schools will open two hours late.
-
I'm watching an episode of The Andy Griffith Show that doesn't look familiar. Can it be that I never saw this one? I wouldn't be surprised to hear that DR Kate is watching, to the consternation of her hubby.
-
Thanks for the weather report DR Kevin.
You mean her husband won't watch the show with DR Kate! He isn't much fun ;)
-
Well, it's time for me to leave work. I need to get some things at Target (these things are cheaper there than Fred Meyer and worth the drive), then home and TV.
Be back later.
-
Kevin, I'm not sure it would - it's cox.
-
Well, the visit to the doctor was not a happy one. She called what I have bronchiolitis, but my research of that says it usually affects infants under six months of age. I don't think I qualify in that regard.
But she did load me up with six prescriptions. Thankfully, they only cost $26 with my health care plan, but they're not things I want to take. I will, but one of them, Prednisone, affects my blood sugar horribly.
Still, I hate this cough. It doesn't hurt, but it sounds horrible.
-
Today, the temperature reached 70. They're talking about the possibility of snow for Friday. Crazy.
-
I have too much work to do.
-
And tonight I finished watching The Good Companions, which left me with a tear in my eye and a big smile. It continued to e one of the strangest BBC miniseries I've seen, but I really loved it.
-
We'll I am most relieved to see that bk is back, the notes are posted and the new day opened
-
I know we are only at page 3 but at least 3 of the page so of yesterday were really today so it's sorta kinda like we are on page 6 donchaknow
-
They are threatening us with snow as well,
-
Pshaw that's what I say to that

I don't know about strange, but the novel always gets to me when I reach the end. Over the hundreds of pages, I come to love those people so much: Miss Trant, Jess, Susie, Inigo, Jerry and the rest. It's been at least 10 years since I've read it, but it's time to read it again.
-
Let's move on.
-
Four!
-
Page four? Really?

Okay, this was scary...I was logged on another website using another browser when all of a sudden the screen name was displaying SOMEONE ELSE'S SCREEN NAME!
-
I was checking messages and they were someone else's messages!! :o
-
Page four? Really?
-
I was able to log out and I logged back in with a different browser and INSTANTLY changed my password.
-
But all I could think of was WTF?? ???
-
Okay, this was scary...I was logged on another website using another browser when all of a sudden the screen name was displaying SOMEONE ELSE'S SCREEN NAME!
How is that possible?

I have no idea! Was I hacked?? The original browser that I was using was Flock, and it's not been updated for several years. I guess I can't use that browser anymore.
-
There, that's done
-
At least you were able to change your password.
-
Oh my I haven't used pshaw in a sentence yet today
I thought "Pshaw" was tomorrow day.
-
Scary story, George.
-
Listened to the first act of The Good Companions. Thank you so much, George. Just a joy.
-
But I'm fading fast.
-
Good night, all.
-
Oh my I haven't used pshaw in a sentence yet today
I thought "Pshaw" was tomorrow day.
Maybe I meant tomorrow was a pshaw day?
-
That doesn't work either.
-
Oh, pshaw!
-
Does anyone else on this site watch ARROW?
-
At least you were able to change your password.
I know. It seems to be okay now.
-
Must get off of this page.
-
Scary story, George.
Hopefully, it's been fixed.
-
Listened to the first act of The Good Companions. Thank you so much, George. Just a joy.
You're welcome!
-
Sooner, rather than later.
-
Hopefully, George, it was just some kind of fluke.
-
Hopefully, George, it was just some kind of fluke.
Hopefully, is right. I'll check things out tomorrow...give it time to settle.
-
Or, you have been hacked.
-
Five!
-
Or, you have been hacked.
That would not be a good thing. :(
-
Check it again when you get up in the morning.
-
George, what is the name of the play you are doing?
-
Is Christian directing?
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Finished with my viewing and have a headache - took two Tylenol and am having about two ounces of pasta.
-
George, what is the name of the play you are doing?
It's called "Laughing Stock" and Christian Carvajal is directing (not Christian Doyle).

That was who I meant.

Have you worked with him before?
-

-
Have you worked with him before?
I didn't know that you knew him (or of him). We've only acted together, and I've seen him act, but I've never been directed by him.
-
He and his wife (she was also in the ensemble of TAO's "The Brain From Planet X") live in the same condo complex that I do.

Okay, I was just wondering.

Oh, okay.
I just realized what I did to cause the confusion. :) I shouldn't have used the word "also" in that sentence.
-
Still have the headache - maybe a hot shower will help.
-
Hope the shower helps, BK.
