Well, you've read the notes, the notes have sprung forward, and now it is time for you to post until the sprung cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CIRCUMVOLVE!
-
good morning to
-
all
-
it's windy out there
-
hope everyone had a good saturday
-
and will have a great sunday
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
First post after Ben's first post after Mike.
-
Good morning, all! I could use another hour of sleep, but I suspect everyone's posts will have that complaint today.
Last night I finished reading Hugh MacDonald's assessment of Georges Bizet, which I liked enormously and recommend highly. I should get from Amazon today the new Rodgers & Hart book, We'll Have Manhattan. I hope it's better than the author's essay on theatre orchestration I read in The Oxford Companion To Musical Theatre.
-
Good morning. Believe it or not, I am going to complain about the hour of sleep lost. My fitbit alarm went off an hour early. Arizona doesn't even have daylight savings time. 4:30 is too early to wake up on a Sunday morning.
-
This morning I will meet DRs Ben and KevinH for brunch on West 23rd. I was thinking about going from there to Tyland, but I believe I will head home instead, since i still have some tidying to do.
-
My wife and I became grandparents today. Her son, Craig, and his wife, Mel, are now the parents of a baby girl, born about 4 o'clock this morning.

Maybe that's how it keeps you fit?
-
Congratulations to MR & MRS DRUXY and Family!
-
Surpin & Rigrod sounds like a law firm that MR BK would make up in one of his books.
-
I don't have a rehearsal until Wednesday, which is good. Still getting the lines. I like conversational lines more than I like MONOLOG lines....especially when they are on forever....which Tiresias has a habit of doing.....
-
Good late -- early? -- no, late -- morning, all.
Oy! Oh well.
Coffee!
-
Well, at any rate, I'm sprung. All except for the clock in my car.
-
Happy DST To Everyone (except Laura and Kerry)!
-
I could not fall asleep till after
4:00 5:00 a.m. this morning.
-
Last evening I attended the Seattle Pops presentation of SOME ENCHANTED EVENING: R & H CELEBRATION; featuring Ashley Brown (MARY POPPINS), Aaron Lazor (THE LAST SHIP), Jonathan Estabrooks (??), and the University of Washington Choirs. It was indeed an enchanted concert. The typical Seattle audience gave the orchestra and soloists a standing ovation going into Intermission.
-
I'm up, I'm up after nine glorious hours of blessed sleep.
-
Of course it's an hour later than it should be so I really don't even have that much time before sound check.
-
Page one? Really? We have sprung ahead not withered away on the vine.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! It was a very short night for us because we stayed out late (for us) last night, lost that hour, and had to get up at 5:30am EDT. We had a smooth trip to Lima and back and Fr. Richard mostly remembered how to conduct mass.
-
Lest you think we were out partying last night, here's what we really did: went to Miami University in Oxford for the 11th annual Yamauchi Lecture honoring a beloved retired history professor. He introduced this year's speaker, a New Testament scholar from Dallas Theological Seminary. Do we know how to live it up or what?
-
...and here's Page 2!
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone? This is most unseemly.
-
I shall be on my way to The Federal in about ninety minutes. Which is what happens when you arise at noon and it's really one.
-
The two house clocks that I have to do manually have been reset, as has the car clock. I am HAPPENING.
-
Completely sold out tonight - and since everyone had to actually pay the cover charge up front, we're hoping that means there will be 0 no-shows and that will be a first.

I've worked with both Ashley Brown and Aaron. He's on the Collected Songs of Victor Herbert recording, and was nearly our ROBERTA leading man. His agent would not accept the fee we offered, and the Man from Philadelphia would not let me offer more.

~ ~ ~ KRITZERLAND PERFORMANCE DAY BREAK-A-LEG VIBES ~ ~ ~ for bk and his merrie crew!!!!
-
My college friend departed early this morning and is now safely home. We had a lovely whirlwind visit.
-
Congratulations to DR Druxy & family!
-
Page two? Really?
-
Break a leg vibes to BK and Company!
Better late than never.
-
Congratulations to the Druxy family!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Congratulations to the Druxfam.
-
I'm pleased to hear that our involuntarily E&T members are now BACK! Welcome back to DRs Laura, Kerry, Kevin, and Sing. Did I miss anyone? Sorry if I did; I haven't caught up.
-
I always resent losing that hour. Year after year I say, "I NEED that hour!" Some things never change, I guess.
-
I don't need to reset my car clock since I couldn't figure out how to reset it last fall. I'm sure I could if I was willing to take a few moments with it or--Heaven forbid!--read the manual. There's the usual little thingy, but instead of just resetting the clock it does ALL SORTS of things. Another day.
-
~ ~ ~ KRITZERLAND PERFORMANCE DAY BREAK-A-LEG VIBES ~ ~ ~ for bk and his merrie crew!!!!
Ditto.
-
I didn't fall asleep until after 1 am, but I see that TCB's insomnia was even worse than mine. I don't think I'd be AT ALL function if I got to sleep any later.
FUNCTIONALITY VIBES TO ALL WHO NEED THEM!!
-
You know you're getting old (gotten old?) when you look forward to a dull and uneventful week ahead.
VIBES FOR A GOOD WEEK AHEAD TO ALL, whether that means exciting or dull or whatever.
-
TTFN.
-
Congratulations, Grandpa Druxy.
-
Break a leg vibes to BK and company!
-
I have not caught up yet, but will try to do so.
-
But we must get to page 3 before 60 MINUTES
-
Not sure why, but it sounds like we should.
-
Page 3!!!
-
(that is, page 3 unless someone deletes something)
-
It is 83 degrees today, and they had the heat on in the church. Oy.

FJL, I have a tax question for you?
When it says to list the household income on the form about the Obamacare penalty tax, is Sandra considered a household of one? Or do they mean the income of everyone living in the house?
I know it is a stupid question, but when the had to apply for coverage through the state of AZ, it specified that it meant everyone who lived in the house.
-
These lines are not coming. I shall have to try something else.
-
Back. From a mostly good matinee and a very enjoyable meal out with friends that just happened to include a nice martini. Or two.
-
These lines are not coming. I shall have to try something else.
I would have never accepted a role in that play
-
Good evening, Mr. Smith!
-
Good evening, sir.
-
How many more performances do you have of SHE LOVES ME?
-
We had a nice visit with our neighbor and I ate too many of my own cookies. I sent her home with cookie dough for her freezer, shaped in balls and ready to be baked. She was very happy.
-
How many more performances do you have of SHE LOVES ME?
Three (count'em) -- next Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Laura, I haven't worked with the form yet (been doing almost all corporations so far this season), but I sent you a PM with some info. It all seems to go by what the "tax household" is - which is different than what we think of as a regular household. Hope the PM helps.
-
Break a leg vibes to BK and company!
And more vibes.

That is my understanding, as well. That is, if you don't claim her as a dependent on your taxes, then for tax purposes she is her own HH of one.
-
And the standard disclaimer - I am not a tax professional (like DR FJL) and therefore you can't take my word on anything. :)

Only Page 3!?!?

Sorry, I had a long distance call with my ex in Arizona.
-
Well, I see I didn't miss much.
-
This could take some serious thinking.
-
Or some serious typing.
-
I need a topic, and about six more regulars.
-
Some witty banter......
-
Some clever insights.......
-
Some hysterical one-liners.....
-
Some amusing bon mots........
-
Some ribald revelations..............
-
Some painful self-insights
-
Some Page Four...........
-
Four!
-
Some naughty double-entendres.........
-
Watching something fairly uninspired called Meshugga-nuns! It's Nunsense meets Fiddler and some mild entertainment ensues. More tired than Nuncrackers. It's all the same show as Nunsense, same format and same songs in the same slots, but each carbon is less funny or memorable than the one before.
-
But I'm still not getting any work done.
-
Some astute insults.................
-
Some sharp witticisms...........
-
My wife and I became grandparents today. Her son, Craig, and his wife, Mel, are now the parents of a baby girl, born about 4 o'clock this morning.
Druxy, congratulations to Craig and his new familial addition!!!
-
Some dreaded self-appraisals...........
-

The "Laughing Stock" calendar says that I have rehearsal Monday through Thursday this week, but on Thursday they're running the "Dracul: Prince of Darkness" scene, and I'm not in it. I hope I don't have to go and be there just for the sake of being there. I'll find out more tomorrow.

That is toooooo early! I read that Oregon, Washington (I think) and another state are considering doing away with daylight savings.
I hadn't heard about that! I did read an article last year that suggested that the country have only two, count 'em, TWO time zones (east and west) and NO daylight saving time. That would be a LOT easier for everyone.
-
Here are a couple of articles about ending DST in Washington:

Story posted, but I feel wiped out.
-
This morning was cold and rainy. In addition to losing an hour of sleep I had to be an event at 10 called Empty Bowls. The potters guild in town makes up bowls in varied styles and colors. The public then pays $20 apiece and that money goes to a local charity that helps families in need.
For each bowl you get a ticket for a bowl of soup, which you can eat there or take it to go.
I picked up some presents -- if I can bring myself to part with the bowls.
-
Good night, all.

I think that Washington should have year-round Daylight Savings Time

I think you should just go to the director and say that you would rather spend the time learning your lines.

Good night, John.
-
Or you can just tell the director that you would rather watch AMERICAN IDOL, but I wouldn't recommend that one.

Well, actually...I should've started learning my lines much earlier than this weekend. ::)

I'm thinking about taking a day off this week and staying home to work on my lines.

You should watch RuPaul's Drag Race.
-
and now thanks to DST its tiomorrow
-
Let's finish this.
-
I can do it.
-
Almost there.
-
Just one more.
-
Five!
-
Today, I saw a production of "The Miracle Worker" at Tacoma's Lakewood Playhouse.
-
My friend pug Bujeaud directed and several friends are in it. It was so good...very well done!
-
Good acting, good costumes, good set, and I had a good seat.
-
I'd never seen the stage version before, so all through the show I had BK's song going through my head:
She said "wa-wa"
She said "wa-wa"
And now Helen's come out
Smellin' like a rose!
She knows!
She knows!
She knows! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDzawV6B1vU)
:))
-
Back from a wonderful show and some food.
