Well, you've read the notes, the notes had two donuts, and now it is time for you to post until the two-donut cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AMAIN!
-
First post after BK. Not a good thing.
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Good morning. I'd thought this was going to be a quiet tax week, but not really quiet so far.
-
Nice soft rain that we're having. Good morning to all----is it Friday yet?
-
Good morning, all.
How I WISH I had two doughnuts this morning.
-
The Encores! videos look great, DR Elmore. And what a find is Keith Carradine!
-
How I WISH I had two doughnuts this morning.
Well - go get 'em, man! :)
-
TOD -
I think I would like to take a hot air balloon ride.
-
I think I could be persuaded to jump out of an airplane. With a parachute, of course.

It is Friday in Australia. Let's celebrate!
-
Good morning to all

I think I could be persuaded to jump out of an airplane. With a parachute, of course.
I am reminded of this

TOD:
You mean, aside from winning an Academy Award?
:D
-
My wish is the same as DR DRUXY's.
-
Thanks for the link DR ELMORE. Most entertaining.
DR TCB - let me try to copy my DVD - I might save you a couple of bucks.
-
Good rehearsal last night.....and tonight we do the WHOLE show, so I get to see everyone.
DR CILLA LIZ - thanks - I only ask because I want to know what you think. It is interesting to get true information.
Yesterday it was discovered that the mitigation expert is tied to the PayPal/Bank accounts that handle money for Jodi's "art work" sales and donations to her defense fund....so who knows how that will turn out.
The good thing is that it is over.....sentencing on April 13....and then she is on her own and in prison. I doubt we will hear much about her after that, until she is mysteriously found dead in her cell or the prison yard.
-
Shopping and banking....and it's not even MONDAY!
-
Good morning, all! I slept late and I'm on coffee No. 1. I have to be out of here around 10 to stop at the pharmacy before I head to Encores! and see Joshie and Rob. I'll head back home after that and tody up this dump.
-
DR Elmore, do they post the approximate running times once an Encores! production has opened? I couldn't find one.
I'm just trying to decide between toughing it out on the roads, or seeing if there's a late train to take home.

Now that the show has opened and they have a more solid timing, they may post a time later today in the site. I really have no idea.

Singdaw, I've been on a hot air balloon ride. It was very nice until we crash-landed. The "driver" (they don't call them pilots) tried to warn us he was coming in too steep and too fast, but only had a second to say "Hang on." He was also so very calm, we didn't really hear him. The basket we were in tipped over so I skinned my knees and had some bruising, but we survived.
I've always wanted to go to one of those water-themed amusement parks, where you go there in just a bathing suit. But I never had anyone to go with, and I always felt like I needed to lose ten pounds first.
-
It continues to be hectic here. With two upcoming house showings I wonder what will happen once Monday comes and the house is officially listed. Of course it is possible nothing new will happen.
I will return tonight if I can.
-
Thursday afternoon greetings! I slept in a bit today and just now finished my basement walk. Nothing on the calendar until this evening when I get to join my book group friends to discuss Alice McDermott's Someone.
-
Good morning, all.
Trouble connecting with sue and Kritzerland on Mozilla this morning.
-
Having other connection problems. May be something else.
-
TOD:
Sing.
But my chances of doing that are less than the odds of me winning a Tony.
-
Jumped out of a plane, did the hang gliding thing off a mountain in Brazil, did the zip line thing. Haven't done the balloon ride yet. Did not like Amy's story though.
I do all these things to confront my fear of heights. Rappelling off a 20 foot bridge was the worst. Almost paralyzed with fear over that. It was also the first.
-
I'm up, I'm up. I think I got nine hours of sleep.
-
I am home from all my errands; at City Center Joshie and Rob were having a meeting on ZORBA, so I stayed briefly, then hit the bank and the pharmacy. tomorrow, back to the Duck Dynasty.
-
House showing vibes for DR JANE.

I think I would like to take a hot air balloon ride.
I would, too. My sister did for her birthday just last year. She had a great time! But she didn't realize that it wasn't as quiet as you might think...the flame heater that heats up the air to keep the balloon in the air is VERY loud.

What...not a TonyŽ??
-
Oh yea.....I mean a Tony.
-
Even a nomination would be nice.
And now I am off to rehearsal. I should be able to see the whole show tonight, including the music and the choruses......we shall see.
We are scheduled for three hours....which is a LONG time.

I don't want to jump out of a plane, hang glide, or rappel off of a bridge. I've gone in a hot air balloon and would do that again. I parasailed. I would like to zip-line but doubt it will happen cuz of my shoulder.

House showing vibes for DR JANE.
Thank you. The two this afternoon went well while we took a nice long walk at the lake.
-
I have a couple of drawers in the kitchen that are filled with serving dishes and silver. I had meant to polish the silver and realized this morning I had not done so. I did the worst offenders and now need to finish the project, except I really don't feel like doing it now.
-
Had some chicken tenders for lunch, had a very good rehearsal with Sandy (show runs a very tight sixty-seven minutes) and am now home.
-
Weather report: 50's today, snow tomorrow! Just a little snow in the morning, that is, then the temps will go to the 40's.

Funny!
-
Greetings, from...
oh, I guess it's my usual place: home!
-
So, that show about a wagon runs two hours and fifteen minutes, which allows me to take the more convenient train back home tomorrow night. And that's nice. I won't have to drive into and out of town in what could be some highly annoying weather. I'll just have a ten-minute schlep home from the station.
And I'll be supping with DR Elmore before the show! It shall be a fine evening.
-
Have a good evening. I'm always happy not to have to drive.
-
I think it will be a busy weekend. By the time the house is officially on the market there might not be anyone left to see it ;)
-
Apparently, the one thing people don't want to do, is to post on HHW today!
-
You know what I was doing. I'm all done, did 4 times as much as I expected to do and then re-organized the drawers. It looks much, much better. I wish I still used all these beautiful silver serving dishes and trays.
-
It started out cool and sprinkling rain, but it turned out to be a lovely time to go for a hike in the late morning. I walked for several hours.

Richard and I git involved late this afternoon making our plane reservations for our June trip to California. Then I had to whip up dinner and eat quickly in order to get to book group on time. Just got home in time for the Cincinnati/Purdue overtime - Go, Bearcats!
-
Off to watch THEORY OF EVERYTHING.
'night
-
Page two? At ten EST and seven PST. I would say we'd best have a frenzy or three. This does not make me happy.
-
And we're not even that close to page three. I don't get it. I'll keep my mouth shut for now.
-
Page Two?
-
Page Two?
-
What the fat hell?
-
I've had some dinner, worked a bit on a choral piece, and got a request for a big band chart.
-
I suspect the chart will be canceled once the singer hears the price.
-
And this should put us over to Page 3?
-
Page3!
I'm going to bed.
-
I have spent this entire day thinking it was Friday. I hate that.
-
I agree, Elmore. Today should have been Friday.
-
Where is everybody?
-
Well, page three is ridiculous at this hour.
-
Gratuitous post No. 66.
-
Hi, BK.
-
How's Barrier Reef selling?
-
Had a wonderful dinner tonight at the Culinary Institute of America campus here. The focus was on Modern Mexican cuisine.
-
It featured escolar, chicken with mole, a scallop appetizer, a soup and a Mexican chocolate dessert.
-
I ate too much.
-
It's been a very long day.
-
And I need to get some work done.
-
Will be working to Stormy Weather soundtrack.
-
Great, great stuff.
-
See y'all later.
-
Kudos to John for a good half page!
-
Jack, let me save you the trouble. I woke up in the middle of the night telling myself that I had already bought that DVD. This morning I checked and sure enough, I have HAVE ROCKET WILL TRAVEL.
-
This is really crazy. I am 64 years old.
-
Well, being 64 isn't the crazy part.
-
I kind of expected that to happen after I turned 63.
-
But, the point is.... For as far back in my life as I can remember (basically age 4 forward), I always bit my fingernails.
-
Over the years, I have tried everything from wearing gloves around the house, to putting nasty flavors on my fingers.
-
Nothing helped, in fact, most of the time I was doing it without even being aware of it.
-
I have always been embarrassed by my nails.
-
At times they have been bleeding or infected, but nothing stopped me.
-
They always looked awful, but there was just no stopping me.
-
Good times, bum times, I have seen them all and I still bit.
-
That is almost 60 years of biting my nails.
-
Page Four
-
So, anyway, about three weeks ago I stopped.
-
I don't mean slowed down, I mean stopped completely.
-
This was not a conscious idea on my part.
-
I had long ago given up any hope of stopping this nasty habit.
-
I had already planned on special instructions to the funeral home to use lots of mortician's wax to make the fingers look good.
-
If that didn't work, then just go for cremation and sell the damn plot.
-
Of course, the main problem is that I don't have any idea how to take care of fingernails.
-
I had to buy some emery boards, but I don't have any idea on how to shape them or make them all the same size.
-
And worst of all, they stupid nails have ruined my typing skills.
-
I am currently typing one correctly spelled word per sentence.
-
And forget about typing speed. It is like being a beginner.
-
The touch is totally wrong.
-
So, I am not sure if this is a blessing or a curse.
-
You can't teach an old dog new tricks - like typing.
-
Now I have gone back to learning to use my ....... ah..........
-
All I can come up with is Speak and spell, but that isn't right.
-
Anyway, the thing where you talk into the microphone and it types it for you.
-
But that only works on my one desktop computer, and not on my laptop, my notebook, or any computer other than my own.
-
I realize this isn't a life-changing event, but it did take up a whole page of posts.
-
I have not packed a single thing yet (I don't want to break a nail).
-
Seriously, I don't want Nicky to start freaking out like he normally does when the suitcases come out of the closet.
-
Hmmm, my suitcase came out of the closet. That must be the title of my next something.
-
I take Nicky down south at 1:00 pm tomorrow, and I should be home by 3:00.
-
That should give me about five hours before bedtime.
-
I refuse to worry about it.
-
There isn't a single thing that I could forget to pack, that I couldn't buy when I get there.
-
Well, except my prescriptions.
-
I always over-pack anyway.
-
I always have some clothes that I pack that never see the light of day, until I unpack when I get home.
-
Page Five
-
I guess I do need to pack my ipad, since it has a wide range of musical selections.

I think I would like to take a hot air balloon ride.
I love hot air ballooning. I was working on my balloon pilots license when I was in college. Unfortunately, I didn't have my own balloon so when I didn't have access anymore, I quit.
Sing, look around in the summer. I'm sure there is someone who gives balloon rides up there. OR, if you see balloons in the air chase them. When they land start a conversation with the pilot. You may get a ride in the future. It's actually just as much fun to chase as it is to fly. Every balloon has a chase crew. They have the beer and the champagne
-
Balloons fly near sun rise and sun set. the winds are the lightest then
-
Well, okay then I also need my headphones. I am not sure my friend would like all of my music choices.
-
But other than that, I am fine.
-
Besides, five hours is a lot of time to spend packing.
-
Today was a nice day.
-
I had lunch with my friend Sharry.
-
She and Micheal celebrated their 25 anniversary on St. Paddy's Day.
-
Next week they are heading off to New York for five days.
-
I think Sharry is seeing 6 shows in those 5 days, but MIcheal isn't seeing all of the shows with Sharry.
-
Where are you going TCB?
-
Here's a link to the case I was so frustrated abouthttp://siouxcityjournal.com/news/local/woman-pleads-guilty-for-role-in-jamal-dean-escape/article_d58f1330-d0ff-56e2-9844-c83cb3b03c39.html (http://siouxcityjournal.com/news/local/woman-pleads-guilty-for-role-in-jamal-dean-escape/article_d58f1330-d0ff-56e2-9844-c83cb3b03c39.html)
-
They are going together to see Brad Oscar. Is that SOMETING ROTTEN?
-
They have known Brad for many years. Micheal wants to try to beg borrow, or win a lotto to get in to see HAMILTON. Ha ha. Fat chance I guess.
-
Does anyone know what Broadway show Jose is working on? Is it GIGI?
-
Who am I asking? I have been talking to myself until Cilla signed on the board.
-
I posted a question but you just kept talking and didn't see it
-
I hope I haven't committed a faux pas by mentioning Jose here, but a lot of us have know him personally.

I am going with a friend of mine on a free cruise that has ended up costing me an arm and a leg!

I had a very busy day today and expect one just as busy tomorrow. I'm really trying to get caught up. It's amazing how fast I can get behind

I miss not doing theater.
I think I meant, I miss doing theater.

Jose can be seen in the British Monarchy's Video of the trip of Charles and Camilla, accompanying someone singing for Camilla when she visited the Shakespeare Theater Company in DC. I think he's working on Man of La Mancha with the STC

Do you think you will hire an assistant eventually.

No, I really don't want one. I'm still making adjustments, but I like it without one.

Good for you. Why pay for someone you don't need.

Yes, Bob is there. His wife is a paralegal. She works for someone else but helps Bob out after hours. I talk to myself and he can't hear very well, so it works out great.

A lot of bosses I have worked for, it was my way or the highway.

I could be that way, but I figured it was easier to let them do it the way they felt it was the most efficient. Silly me

Everything is different for us right now it could be any day of the week.
-
I had better read for awhile.
-
I've been proofing most of tonight. I did watch this highly recommended new Netflix series called Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I've heard raves about how funny it is, how great the jokes are, how THIS is comedy. I lasted ten minutes. A wretched excuse for a comedy, the jokes are lame, the show is one of those wink-wink things where no one behaves like an actual human being. If the intention was to do a show with caricatures, great, but I'm not interested in investing time with caricatures because guess what - it does not sustain and is a bore. If this is what hilarious comedy is today I'll just be an old poop and long for the days when comedy was actually funny - whether situation comedy or spoof or romantic. This one is for the birds and hipsters or whatever. That is one person's opinion, and you're mileage may vary.
-
Apparently, the one thing people don't want to do, is to post on HHW today!
I was finishing up the invoicing preparations for the month (it has to be done the week before the library board meeting) and now I'm off to the theater. It's our last night to be able to call for lines. I hope I don't call for any at all!
Be back later!
Well, I called for a couple of lines, but I and the rest of the cast got through the entire show. Saturday will be a cue-to-cue and then on Monday, we just run with no stops whatsoever!
