Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a cover charge, and now it is time for you to post until the covered cows come home. They're thrilled they'll soon have a new MOOstery to read.
-
And the word of the day is: AUTOCHTHON!
-
Again, very nice book cover BK!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Again, very nice book cover BK!
Indeed! Although with all the heightened concerns about security these days, I'm quite surprised that no one questioned just why you were taking photos of the front of the police station!
-
Good morning. Only 21 more filing days to April 15!
-
Love the cover!

I don't think I've posted this link before
Remembering the brilliant, gifted Ellen Schwartz with a link to a site her family put up
Linking to a site celebrating the lyrics of our dear late friend Ellen Schwartz:
http://www.ellenschwartzandfriends.com/
Here's a link to six of her shows, including LETTER TO HARVEY MILK, TRAPPED FAMILY SINGERS, COME UP "N' SEE ME (which she worked on with Sharon McNight playing Mae West) and the show TANGLED WEBS which she worked on with Skip Kennon and Bill Connington (which was based on a short story of mine called WebCast)

-
Some more direct links to Ellen Schwartz's shows and lyrics (with some interesting BK and Kritzerland connections among the performers) if anyone's interested:
I think this link should work to performances by stars like the great Sharon McNight and Jim Bailey in COME UP 'N' SEE ME
http://www.ellenschwartzandfriends.com/music
Here's a link to Sharon McNight performing at Ellen Schwartz's birthday party a few years back
http://www.ellenschwartzandfriends.com/new-page-33
And the terrific performances by Leslie Kritzer and Jeff Keller and Cheryl Stern and many others in A LETTER TO HARVEY MILK

And a link to demos from TANGLED WEBS with singers led by the wonderful Rebecca Luker, Ric Ryder, Bill Parry

Ann Hampton Callaway performing from CAST OF THOUSANDS

singdaw is coming up on post 8800 - that's a round number, even if not a milestone
-
BK,
I watched RIDE THE PINK HORSE a couple of weeks ago and, although there was much about it I liked, I thought the "third act" act was a disappointment. Indeed, the final confrontation, involving a totally miscast Art Smith, was ridiculous.
-
Thanks for those links, DR FJL - will be very interesting to explore!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Got a cleaning and checkup at the dentist this morning, then I'm seeing REAR WINDOW on the big screen and hoping to hell that both Fathom and the AMC do a good job of presenting it.
-
Good morning, all! The Time Warner technician has my TV back up and running, and i am very happy abut it.
Today, i am going to pack up and inventory the cartons going to Ohio. That's about it for my plans.
-
Well, here it is Wednesday. It's also garbage day in my neighborhood. Please help me to remember to take the garbage and recycle cans to the street before I leave this morning.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! After 3 days of having to be up and out of the house first thing in the morning, I am enjoying a slow start today. Nothing on my calendar until Richard and I go out for dinner and to an evening program at the historical society.
-
I hope DR KERRY put out the garbage.
-
Very nice cover MR BK!
-
I should get my copy of the film script today.....so we shall see what happens from there.

I will remember that DR ELMORE.
-
Congratulations to BK on another beautiful book cover design.
Speaking of such, here's another one making the news today:
-
Thank goodness all I had to do to get into my librarian training (graduate school) was to earn a Bachelor's degree:
Chicago Public Library Training Class Entrance Exam (http://www.makingithappen.us/?p=789)
-
Congratulations to BK on another beautiful book cover design.
Speaking of such, here's another one making the news today:
and the Blu-ray of "The Fantasticks" goes on sale today!
-
Off to the basement for a walk - bye for now!
-
Back from the dentist.
Next stop, Rear Window!
-
I need more $$ to buy all of the things that I want to have.
-
Woke up after eight hours of sleep thanks to the beeping from the alarm system. Seems due to the winds some Palm fronds or tree leaves might be touching power lines so they've shut off power to a lot of Studio City and other parts of the Valley. I called. No ETA other than maybe this afternoon
-
Power just came back on. Whew!
-
I need more $$ to buy all of the things that I want to have.
I wish you well there, DR JRand64! I need more $$ to survive in Manhattan and continue what I have been doing.
-
good afternoon to all
-
Ask BK
What is your opinion of the original cut of The Fantasticks compare to the Francis Ford Coppolla version or do we have to buy the Blu-Ray to find out

Maybe one of us will win the lottery DR ELMORE.

it's closing in May due to low ticket sales.

Oh, no. :(
-
Thank you DR John. We still need to get past the house inspection. We are in that limbo nervous stage and the inspection isn't until the 31st.
-
DR TCB I feel so bad that you are sick on your trip. I hope you are well enough to enjoy Puerto Rico. I hear it is very nice.
FAST COLD BE GONE VIBES!!!!!
-
" read that as " I am not much of a mouse eater" and I thought "of course not, she's a vegetarian!""
Thanks for the laugh DR Vixmom :)
-
Congratulations to BK on another beautiful book cover design.
Speaking of such, here's another one making the news today:
I like the title and cover. I am going to wait for reviews before reading it. There was a reason it wasn't published when she wrote it.

I will have to show this to Keith.

I could not be a librarian in Chicago in 1925, I have discovered.

Will never do.

MUSH ON WITH GLEE
Toward PAGE THREE.
-
Um.
That's about all I've got at the moment.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
What the fat hell is going on? Where is everyone?
We need more DRs.
-
I've had a strange afternoon.
-
No sign of a Las Vegas check. I'm wonderng if this operation is for real.
-
I'm wondering if the latest round of idiotic comments from the chief Duck has something to do with the mess.
-
I did not get far on my cartons.
-
I will work a bit tonight. Once I've decided on dinner.
-
Did I miss a check in from DR TCB today?
-
This is enough from me.
-
Again, very nice book cover BK!
Indeed! Although with all the heightened concerns about security these days, I'm quite surprised that no one questioned just why you were taking photos of the front of the police station!
Surely, given the success of the series and BK's name, the staff at the Hollywood PD just took it in stride. "Oh, there goes that Kimmel again. Must be writing another book."
Has there been any feedback at all from the HPD? I'd guess they're part of the LAPD. Perhaps they're rather jaded about it. After all, a lot of the LA crime shows have scenes in Hollywood.
-
This should end Page 2.
-
No, it began Page 3/
I am outa here.
-
Good morning, all! The Time Warner technician has my TV back up and running, and i am very happy abut it.

Glad to hear the problem's been resolved.

You must tell us something about it.
-
This is enough from me.
It is never enough, DR elmore3003. :)
-
Hello, DR Jeanne.
-
I am now off to a choir rehearsal.
-
Hello, Sing.
...and he's gone.
-
Did I miss a check in from DR TCB today?
No,you haven't missed my post. I spent about an hour today in San Juan, mostly at the CVS Pharmacy, looking for cold medicines. I haven't eaten at all today. I about to have a glass of cranberry juice. Hopefully better tomorrow inSt.Thomas more later.
-
I was reading a NYT article the other day about all that must go on when cruise ships return to port--cleaning, loading of supplies, etc. One ship they mentioned had REALLY high Internet fees. That could be the case for TCB's ship, too. It may be too expensive to post daily.
-
Oh! And here I was just talking about you!
Hi, Tom!
-
Hope you feel better soon.
-
And I must explain something, Tom. People take cruises to EAT, to pig out, to gorge themselves. Not that I'd expect that of YOU, of course.
Which ship are you on?
-
Glad to hear that DR Ginny's treadmill stress test went well.
-
And I'm pleased that DR Jane doesn't eat many mice.
-
TTFN.

I only took one cruise and remember the internet fees were exhorbitant so I didn't sign up. When we were in Jamaica for the day I was able to buy a card for $10 and use the internet for a few hours.

lol I thought it was for the ports. Keith and I do our best not to gain weight on a cruise. In fact I have even lost weight.
-

So am I ;D
-
I just read this on my local news:
A woman is out $6,000 after purchasing a fake diamond outside the Rogue Valley Mall yesterday. Police say they see this scam a few times a year
I am in shock anyone would have purchased the diamond, especially for that amount of money.

Yes, everyone knows that the prices are better in St Thomas (or St Maarten). She purchased it outside the mall, ie, from a private party?
-
Now I'm really going.
TTFN 2.

Good evening!
Back from everything, worn out and stuffed with Frank Pepe pizza, and am already looking forward to calling it an early night.

I'm sure they know nothing of the books, just as I'm equally sure that Hollywood High knows nothing of the books, even though you'd think they'd enjoy knowing they're featured.
-
I'm very tired.
-
Had some soup and a chicken salad sandwich for lunch, and we had two good rehearsals for the ALS benefit today, one with Jean Louisa Kelly and one with Kerry O'Malley.
-
Well, since we're so close...
-
PAGE FOUR DANCE!!
-
And now, it's theater time! Tonight is the last rehearsal without an audience. Tomorrow night, we can invite two people each, so we can finally find out if we're actually funny. Let's hope we are!
-
AND hopefully, I won't totally go up on my lines because of the audience...that's what I'm always afraid of. We'll see!
Be back later!
-
We just went for an evening walk, my 3rd for the day and Keith's 2nd. It was very nice.

Of the two cuts, I much prefer the original Ritchie cut to the Coppola cut.
The only version of the film I've seen is the one released on DVD several years ago.
I thought the guy who played "El Gallo" was a dud, and it's ridiculous that they didn't open the film with "Try to Remember".
Is the new Blu-ray the Ritchie or Coppola version?

However I disappointed to read that the original director's cut is only in SD. The FFC is in Digital.

Finished with my viewing.

All book elements have gone to the publisher and so the book should be up for pre-orders tomorrow or Friday. It should all move fairly quickly from here on in.

No posts in an hour? Most unseemly.

And now, it's theater time! Tonight is the last rehearsal without an audience. Tomorrow night, we can invite two people each, so we can finally find out if we're actually funny. Let's hope we are!
Well, we had a very good show tonight. :)
-
I got all my lines and pretty much everyone else did, too.
-
It can still use some tightening up...picking up the pace and things like that.
-
But overall, I think that people will really like it.
-
There's a big excerpt of "Dracul: Prince of the Undead" that one of the characters has written (it was written originally for this play, so it's not someone else's version), and that takes up a lot of time.
-
I think in general that it's a bit too long...too much written for it.
-
It could easily be shortened and not lose the humor.
-
But that's just my opinion.
-
I wouldn't dare ask for permission to cut it.
-
Anyway, after rehearsal, I stopped at Subway and got one of their new Turkey Italiano Melts.
-
It's pretty good.
-
However I disappointed to read that the original director's cut is only in SD. The FFC is in Digital.
Yup...it's Star Wars all over again. :P
-
Excited to read about the bits that are being restored to "1776" for the new Blu-Ray edition.
I'd heard that it was happening, but not any specifics. I am definitely getting this!
