And the word of the day is: SUDORIFEROUS!
I haven't read much that said anything good about this.
Had to go to the doctors early this morning, but I'm back in hopes that I won't get sick again. I'm on a diet for 2 weeks.
That's all I have to say.

Maybe it was the expensive comfy seats with the ottoman I enjoyed most, plus sitting eye level with the screen. The sound was also excellent. What I really enjoy, and Keith as well, was the teenage girl who was delightful.
Good morning, all! I remember bits of several dreams last night. . . .
just a quick hello to say i have returned from the hospital.

Speaking of Facebook, I was at my usual Indian eatery yesterday (it's a bit too modest to call a restaurant), when a young woman got in the buffet line behind me. She was on her phone and I could hear her say, "Mom, can I call you back? I'm at the Indian place." She looked at me with a "What can I do?" look. I said, "Mothers!" understandingly. We happened to both be leaving at the same time and she started up a conversation, telling me how she didn't even buy a cell phone until she was 24 and was required to do so for her job. She feels pressure to be available 24/7. She said that she's not even on Facebook. I'm not, either, but was surprised to hear a twenty-something say this. Perhaps I'm not the only person on Earth who cares about privacy.
Today, Mike, my volunteer driver for cancer patients, took me out shopping. One of the stops was at a thrift store, and there I found a CD that I hope is good. It looks brand new. It's a 2 CD set of "Sunday in the Park with George" the 2006 London cast recording. As I may have mentioned before, I would like to become more familiarized with B'way musicals as I had paid more attention to dramas.

It can't beat the original, but I do like that recording. :)
Here's to a splendiferous PAINT YOUR WAGON recording session!

Thank you. It was! I just gt hme. it was a long day, and I expect Monday's sessins to be as long. It all sounds so goof, and Rob Berman proves again that he's one of the best Broadway musical director. I can think of only two others that I have as much respect for, but he's at the top of my list.
I've had a bit of dinner. PBS has another effin fund drive, which is ridiculous, so no Britcoms tonight.
I'll check my mail, read a bit, and go to bed. I have to meet Joshie at Toyland tomorrow morning.

It's good to hear that you've had a really good day DR elmore!

Yes we have big Facebook drama today.....so I finally had to unfriend my nephew and his bipolar wife who is 28 years older than he is....
I didn't join in the comments on the thread, but it was so ridiculous.....she has him convinced that his family never loved him, held him back, and do not want him to be happy.....and he never calls, talks, or visits any of his family.....they came to see us last month - which was a shock.....
She says it takes her three weeks to get him "back to normal" after he has any contact with his family.
ANYWAY....that's just the tip of the iceberg and not worth talking about anymore...except to say that Facebook does NOT help...it is actually the anti-communicator.
DR Jane, thanks for the concern!

Certainly enjoying the movie experience can improve one's opinion of a movie.
;)

I am really tired, DR DanM. Quite fatigued mentally, but happy the day went so well.

He's still touring a lot. He was just in San Antonio a few months back.
And how are you this evening, TCB?
Nice to be seen. Very exhausting day.
Long day at work, then long evening of dance practice, followed by people wanting to go out for food.
I'm sorry to read that, TCB. How long supposedly until your eye has adjusted?
We had a power failure in my neighborhood this afternoon. It lasted about an hour and a half.

Hi Vixmom!
En espanol esta noche?
I don't think I remember enough and am too lazy to look up the correct punctuation marks.

Hola, Jeanne. Spanglish is good enough.

Hi, Dan! How are you feeling?

The heat got to me today. My volunteer driver wanted to take me shopping before he left for his trip with his grandchildren up to his wife's family in Calgary. So, we went shopping and I guess the heat from sitting in the front seat of the car and just walking around made me feel flushed and overheated. When I came home, I had to rest and cool off. Then I felt better.
And when the night is new. I'll be looking at the moon. But Abyssinia you.
There was a margarita in there, sir.
TCB, I'm sorry you're going through this. I really dread my turn. I hope your vision is MUCH IMPROVED pronto!

But, of Cuervo!
Where's Cilla tonight? Baseball? She's pretty good with the espanol.

Everything else is wonderful. Everything is sharp, colors are more vivid; but when I try to read, especially this site, I have real trouble. Some days I have just given up.
My continued prayers to the people of Texas.

Texas needs to send those rain clouds to California.
I'm glad the guy came to mow the grass Thursday. I can see the standing water more clearly. :)

No, my vision had corrected itself to 20/20 about seven years ago. The doctor said I will need glasses after he does the other eye.
I don't mind the glasses. I have no one I want to impress.

So you'll lose your 20/20, but things will be clearer and sharper?

Finished with my viewing. Watched the rest of the Orson Welles documentary and then a Honeymooners episode, the first real completely awful episode of the bunch so far.
I'm beginning to fade. See you all tomorrow, I hope.
Good night.

When I was a kid, we had next door neighbors who were of the WWII generation. She was a former girlfriend of Joe Bananas and used to ride the diving horse off the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. Her second husband was a See Bee in Saipan and Panama. He knew Jungle Jim and had photos of the crematorium/gas chambers that the Japanese had on Saipan, just like the Nazis had in Europe.
Anyway, I bring him up because even when I knew him, when he was in his late 60s/70s, he still had what he called pilot's vision, I think it was 20/15. It was amazing to me that this man had jungle rot in his ears and was pretty close to legally deaf, but he still kept that eyesight, despite all the years drinking alcohol, Vitalis and sterno.
Have you tried using off-the-shelf reading glasses? I don't mean to bug you to death, but I have so many unanswered questions and need to prepare myself for when I go through it.

You mean cheaters? Yes, and they do help.

Yes, the inexpensive readers you can buy at the drug store. That's encouraging.
I went to treatment with a woman who drank her French perfume!

I just forget to take them from room to room.
And Jane's here, too.
One of my college roommates is coming over for the Mathis concert. The last time I saw my ex-roommate, I was sitting directly behind him at a Johnny Mathis concert in Seattle.

That's awful when people don't realize how they go overboard with fragrance. Having been in and among cancer wards, I've learned to go without cologne, which was difficult at first as that was part of the routine. But now, I forget that I can wear it elsewhere. When I do, I am very lightly spritzed.

DR Jennifer and I are very sensitive to perfume.
And now, I'm off to my parents' for dinner. I forget what my mom said that she was making...tacos, maybe...we'll see.
Be back later.

Great! and, George, the other good part of this is that at this particular thrift store, for the Humane Society, they charge $1 per CD. So this was $2 and it goes to help dogs and cats.

Many of us are really bothered by perfumes. A woman used to go to my acupuncturist wearing lots of scents. Even after she left I couldn't be treated in that room--she left, but the scents stayed. She probably wasn't happy when I asked her to refrain.
