Well, you've read the notes, the notes were elusive and yet not, and now it is time for you to post until the elusive cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MANNA!
-
Good morning, all!
I want to go back to bed.
-
This is another Columbia library day. I have three numbers on this pass of Gentlemen, Be Seated! to go. This weekend I'll see how my new copyist Scott is progressing.
-
Good morning, all.
First after DR Elmore after BK?
That's a first. And a fine how-de-do.
-
I have been thinking about my dad a lot these past two days. Yesterday, I started weeping on the bus back from Columbia, and today I'm feeling quite melancholic about him. I'm sure that some of it has to do with my looking through the HHW archives for 2006-2007.
-
Congratulations on the card, bk.
-
And yes, that is one great cast you've assembled for the anniversary show!

Good Morning! It's Friday-- you know what that means? It means tomorrow I'm sleeping in!
-
In honor of the notes -
Billie Hayes "Oranges Smoranges" dance from HR Pufnstuf
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0ki56yZD3A
Who says there ain't no rhyme for oranges?
-
Or is that song called "Oranges Poranges," perhaps?
-
I am so bored of waking up every night after ninety minutes of sleep. I finally just got out of bed, buckled down Winsocki and fixed the new What If, which is certainly the most complex of any of them - you'll understand why when I reveal what it is. It involves at times two groups singing a kind of round and I hadn't really done that when I first wrote it - I was going off a lyric sheet and they'd made a bunch of silly errors and so the entire last two minutes was not right at all. So, first I listened to the cast album of the track and made the big eighty bar cut that they did. Then I went through line by line got it all conformed, and then did the round at the end. I think it's all correct now but I've got someone going over it with a fine tooth comb. I want to get this to the singers right now because it will take a bunch of time to learn it. It involves the four kids in the show and Robert Yacko.
-
Can't wait to hear what this number is, and then hopefully get to hear the number!
-
I was the last poster because I decided to finish reading my book. I wanted to get it over with already vs curious to know how it ended.
-
Bruce I consider not waking up for 90 minutes a good long sleep. I can wake up within minutes of being sound asleep.
-
Friday....it is already very WARM today.
Tonight we have a family meeting orchestrated by one sister who is trying to cause trouble....perhaps it will all end early....we shall see.
Or perhaps two of my brothers will fortify themselves with beer before they come over.....which will at least make the meeting fun. I may have a glass of wine myself.
-
Tonight is a FULL/BLUE moon.....make a wish and be specific.
-
I cannot find LOST SOULS the documentary on my Comcast system anywhere, so I may have to buy the DVD....since it sounds most entertaining.
-
Last night, on Starz, my wife and I watched the remake of ANNIE that was released late last year.
Good cast, but the entire film has got to be the most ill conceived project in the history of the cinema. Every artistic decision was wrong. Nothing worked.
Actually, had they dumped the songs, changed the characters' names and called the the movie JANE or NANCY or KIM or anything but ANNIE, it might have been pretty good.
Was everybody at SONY drunk when they approved the project?
-
Good morning, all.
Vibes for those in need.
-
TOD:
I've been sent a review copy of a film, STRANGERLAND with Nicole Kidman, which I will watch this weekend.
-
Loved Darcie Roberts in Busker Alley. Saw her twice in that.
-
Family meeting vibes for DR Jrand!
-
Employment vibes for DR elmore!!!!
-
Thanks DR JANE.
-
You are welcome.
-
I am home from Columbia. I have one number left to peruse and notate, ut i will be stopping in occasionally to check things and look at other material on the show.

This is sounding a little too familiar. Have you noticed any mysterious activity in the basement lately? Will it be elderberry wine? Be very careful, DR Jrand64.

In today's news, I just said yes to playing keyboard in a regional production of ASSASSINS in late September. It's up in Torrington CT where RAGTIME was done last year, but this will be in their (new to me) studio theater, not on the main stage.
-
Hmm, this is referencing an old TOD, but catching up: I guess "Dancing with the Stars" is indeed considered a reality show. i would say that's been a favorite of ours for a while now.
-
Look, it's page 2!
-
Friday afternoon greetings! I had a routine follow-up with our primary care physician today. He refilled a couple of prescriptions and was able, electronically, to see the results of Tuesday's echocardiogram. His assessment is that it showed no major heart problems, which is good. I'll get a full report from the cardiologist a week from Monday. PCP told me to have my eyes examined and, as usual, exercise and lose weight.
-
Hey!
-
Am leaving early today...in roughly 45 minutes.
Will swing by Piedmont Grocery and buy some buttermilk fried chicken.
Yum!
-
Today is, mercifully, cooler than the last four days this week.
Nice marine layer cover over the east bay....nice breeze.
(Ooh! Ooh! This post is a mini-milestone -- #29600).
-
Great to hear that report, Ginny!

Yum!
That does sound good!
-
Up again - even though most of the time I didn't feel like I was sleeping, I'm sure I got about five hours. Not that good for my voice or me and I'll really just have to doze off later and sleep in tomorrow.
-
Great to hear that report, Ginny!
Thanks, DR FJL!
-
DR Ginny, congrats on your test results. Don't forget to walk today.
-
Good test report from DR GINNY. It pays to be healthy.
-
That sounds like fun DR CHAS SMITH.
Rest vibes for MR BK.

Ditto and ditto!!

I just went to the bank; the AC is out and it's hotter inside than out. i feel so sorry for the employees.
I have been wracking my brain for a week now: what classical piece does the them from FOYLE'S WAR sound like? I was stuck on an earwig last week that turned out to be the big theme from "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue," but FOYLE'S WAR reminds me of Ravel or someone else and i cannot place it. Damn!
-
Congrats on the great job, Chas!

Listening to it on YouTube, it does sound.....familiar. Wish I could be of help. I thought of "Godfather" once or twice, but that's about it.
-
Thanks, DRs Jane, JRand, John G, and George.
DR Jane, does walking around Kroger count?
-
The sounds of thunder are rumbling in the background.
-
And yes, we have rain. I hope it's raining at home. My figs need it.
-
DR Jane, does walking around Kroger count?
LOL NO!
-
We made more progress on my office today. I love having a proper desk, that isn't in the laundry room. The main downside is that I have to organize and keep this office neat.
-
Our new refrigerator gets too humid and drips water inside. The repairman is on his way and I hope he can fix the problem.
-
DR Jane, does walking around Kroger count?
LOL NO!
I LOVE walking around Kroger! :D
As long as I'm pushing a cart full of Vernors around.
And some Skyline and Gold Star.
But enough about me. Congratulations, DR Ginny! :)
-
LOL, DR ChasSmith, and thanks!
And congratulations on your new gig!
-
Back from a long and nice lunch and picking up a couple of packages.
-
Now to the bank.
-
Now to the bank.
They say that's where the real money is.
-
That makes no sense, but it's a post.
-
The refrigerator guy ordered some parts to fix the frig. I hope they work.
-
~ ~ ~ ALL SORTS OF VIBES ~ ~ ~ for all sorts of DRs.
And CONGRATULATIONS to those deserving them!
-
Off to a "farewell to a neighbor" party.
-
Hope the new neighbors are as nice as the ones moving away.
-
Glad to hear of your good report, DR Ginny!
-
TOD:
CD: Drat! The Cat! --
bluray: What's Up, Doc?
-
Hope the new neighbors are as nice as the ones moving away.
So you're not being evicted from the neighborhood after all?
My Dad's brother Dewey's wife Dorothy's affairs with a Catholic priest and other men was so scandalous in Pittsburgh - around 1962, as I recall - that the ladies of the neighborhood got a petition to ask her to leaver the area.
-
DR elmore you have an interesting family ;)
-
The A/C vent is right over my head and I'm cold. Our home only has one zone for heat & air settings so I'm stuck with it. At least I should be warm in the winter.
-
DR elmore you have an interesting family ;)
That's one word for it.
-
;D
-
Well I decided the moderate the meeting, so it wasn't bad at all.....trouble maker was kept on track.
I had a token that you had to hold when you wanted to speak, and everyone had to be quiet unless they had it.....
-
Glad to hear of your good report, DR Ginny!
Thanks, DR KevinH!

That worked! I'm impressed and pleased your meeting went well. Actually, I think it is nice your family has meetings to discuss things.
-
Oh, and I had a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich today - not great. Now it's time to jog.
-
I should be jogging.....
-
Back from a jog.
-
When we returned from a long walk in this heat Keith said I should enjoy the air at my desk now. Agreeing I came to my computer. Of course the vent is not currently blowing.
-
The fan is finally blowing. It is interesting, I am so hot I can barely feel it.
-
It may be hot here but I'm sure glad I'm not in Ashland where it is 106 degrees, smokey and covered in ashes. I don't know what fire/fires it is coming from.
-
Good evening.
-
What does 5 pap are cover letters mean?
-
Congratulations on your lovely new card Bk
-
Congratulations Chas. I have never seen Assassins, I may need to remedy that situation!!!
-
I hope someone comes to help me get off this page
-
Page four!!!
😅
-
Well, I must be going. A friend asked if I wanted to go to the movies with him and his girlfriend, and I had nothing else to do tonight, so I said yes. We're going to see the Olympia Film Society's showing of the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre (http://olympiafilmsociety.org/ofs-fright-club-presents-the-texas-chainsaw-massacre/)."
Be back later!
-
Page four? Really?
-
Barely?
-
This will NOT do.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
I watched half a motion picture and am too tired to finish it. I'll play on the computer whilst listening to an opera of Elmer Gantry - I have so much throat guck, which is really due to no sleep - always happens.
-
No one knows what it means, Vixmom. But Sandra keeps finding it on her paperwork.
-
Goodness, we are in trouble tonight!
-
At least, Laura and I are in trouble tonight!
-
And our 5 Guests are also in trouble.
-
101 Claymations
-
i have nothing to add and I am tired
-
I am sorry
-
i have nothing to add and I am tired
Hello, tired, I am TCB!
-
Don't apologize. It is after midnight for you.
-
I had my follow up with the eye surgeon today.
-
He was very pleased.
-
So I was very pleased.
-
I don't need to see him again until October, unless I develop a problem.
-
I am guessing that he is only meaning eye problems.
-
If it was just any problem I developed, I would be in there constantly.
-
You are excused to go to bed, Vixmom.
Glad you hear you got a good report from the doctor, TCB.
-
The lens remind me of when I wore contacts.
-
I keep thinking that I need to take them out before bed.
-
I think that would hurt.
-
It was 96 degrees here today.
-
It topped out at 98 for George.
-
Good news TCB!
-
Page four? Really?
-
Page 5
-
Jane, my outdoor furniture is about the cheapest you can find. That's why the cushions aren't that weatherproof. By keeping them inside and out of the weather, they look decent when I get them out
-
Elmer Gantry the opera - accessible Americana at times nice, but too many faux hymns.
-
Tomorrow my neighbor is having a big rummage sale. I took over some things tonight. Of course the weather forecast is for possible rain...oh great.
-
And tomorrow is supposed to be just as hot.
-
They are going to be out there at 6:00 AM to get started on the sale. Not sure if I'll get up that early, but I might. They will keep an eye on my stuff and will sell it if they can, so that's cool
-
The record high temperature is for Death Valley (a few years ago) when it was 134 degrees
-
Tomorrow night the baseball team is back. Forecast then is possible severe thunderstorms. I will be going out there, though because the give away is free Explorer's fishing caps. They look pretty cool, so I'll go early and if the weather is bad, I can always leave
-
It was beautiful today, a bit hot, but not that hot
-
Congratulations to Ginny on her Good medical report
-
Congratulations to TCB on his good eye report
-
Also tcb I laughed out loud at your responses to my lposts last night.
-
Congratulations to DR Ginny.
-
You are both sharp eyed and sharp witted
-
Prayers and vibes for Laura's MIL
-
Also tcb I laughed out loud at your responses to my lists last night.
:D :D
-
Healing vibes for Dan, MiKe, Cilla , Druxy
-
Congrats to Ginny on her good report
-
Vixmom, I thought were off to bed.
-
That could have been 4 posts
-
Oh! I have been excused!
-
Thank you and goodnight
-
Continued health vibes to DR Laura's MIL.
-
Vixmom, how is your father reacting to the new bed?
-
Thanks. My DH says there's been no change. I guess this is the new normal for her. Very sad.
-
Oh! I have been excused!
No, no, I just worry about your lack of sleep.
-
Thanks for the vibes, I am healing quite well. Today was a bit crazy at work and it wore me out, but after I got home and hung out here I felt great. I don't have any food restrictions and no lifting restrictions. They mowed the lawn way too short today so I'm thinking that after I pay him for this week, I may mow it myself the rest of the summer. It will take a couple weeks to grow back to where it should be so that would four weeks after surgery. I'm sure I'll be fine to do it by then
-
No one knows what it means, Vixmom. But Sandra keeps finding it on her paperwork.
Funny.
-
Sorry to hear that DR Laura
-
Vixmom, I thought were off to bed.
☺️
-
He was very pleased.
Excellent!
-
We have our election primary on Tuesday. I have no idea what is even on the ballot.
-
I think that would hurt.
You think. ;D
-
Vixmom, did you see my question about your father and his new bed?
-
I should be jogging.....
I should be walking.
-
It may be hot here but I'm sure glad I'm not in Ashland where it is 106 degrees, smokey and covered in ashes. I don't know what fire/fires it is coming from.
Maybe Mt. Ashland erupted.

HELLO EVERYONE!!!! ;)
-
Elmer Gantry the opera - accessible Americana at times nice, but too many faux hymns.
How does it compare to Gantry! with Robert Shaw and Rita Moreno? Or was that merely Gantry with no exclamation point?
-
Swishy Sarah??? Are you like forty now?

I've never heard the Broadway Gantry.
-
Swishy, what ARE you up to these days?
-
This Gantry got better towards the end of its first act and act two is excellent so far.
-
Welcome home, Swishy!
-
Starting to watch Cheyenne Autumn. Don't think I'll be able to finish it tonight. Some of it is very familiar, especially Carroll Baker as a Quaker. I must have seen it when I was a child.

It better not, Echo and Sherlock are up there. :)
I found out the fire is in Milo, Oregon.

HELLO EVERYONE!!!! ;)
Hi Swishy. I'm sorry I missed you.
