Well, you've read the notes, the notes welcomed the opening night of Welcome to My World, and now it is time for you to post until the opening night cows come home - they just attended the opening night of Welcome to MOO World.
-
And the word of the day is: PALMY!
-
First post after BK!
-
Congratulation and best wishes to BK and Sami on their big success!
-
I got goose bumps just reading about opening night.
-
BK, how long is the run? And will you be taking it to New York?
-
Great news about the opening show going so well!!!
-
Cindy Williams is such a lovely person and such a class act. We were backstage at DROWSY CHAPERONE to see some other actors, and saw her and she was so warm even before we mentioned BK's name, and very much even more so after we mentioned how we knew BK. Such a delight as a performer, as well!
-
Good morning, all.
Had an okay sleep, but my back is killing me.
-
A good sit in the recliner will help to make things right.
And then I can kill it again by packing up and lugging my keyboard and amp to today's first band reading and sitzprobe.
-
Congratulations to BK and Molly on a great opening night!
-
Congratulations to bk and Sami and crew on what sounds like a spectacular opening night!
-
Sorry for my absence yesterday - but that makes the heart grow fonder, right?
I was just so frustrated over not being able to log into HHW on Friday night or Saturday morning that I just decided to give it a rest.

Thanks for the wonderful parody lyric, DR FJL. They always make me smile!
-
DR vixmom - I did not know that your DH had a blog. Looking forward to exploring this more.
-
Good morning, all! The frustrations have set in.
I've been waiting for the neuroses on this recording work and, after spending all day on orchestra parts, I may have to throw them all out and rethink the numbers following "discussions" this week. Silly me, for assuming that after someone has a score for two weeks and there's no words about it that all is well.
-
Last night was a big nightmare about LaGuardia and the flight to Ohio: I lost my cane, the nonstop flight was making a stop causing us to land later in Dayton, I didn't have a book to kill time, I lost my place in line for my ticket. There was a very friendly and helpful back gentleman helping me with everything and who found my cane, He kept trying to be helpful and i was my usual frustrated bitchy self.
-
It's going to be a rocky day.
-
Good news about last night's opening,
-
DR TCB, I'm glad you were out and about last night.
-
I got a birthday greeting from a Facebook friend this morning.
It's next week.
-
Is the new moon causing this madness, DR JRand65?
-
Many thanks, singdaw!
-
Silly me, for assuming that after someone has a score for two weeks and there's no words about it that all is well.
Oy!
-
Greetings from West Seneca !
-
DR Kate hosted a get-together last night. Most of the family made it. My almost 3year-old great nephew sure livened things up. He's got lots of energy !
-
Congrats to BK and Sami on a great opening night !
-
So, it's going to be a bumpy week. I need to step out to Staples around noon, get this second score scanned, and send it to one and all. It's times like this I really miss Toyland and the office equipment.
-
Congrats to MR BK & Co on their successful opening. Matinee and recording vibes on the way!

goof morning to all
-
elmore, that makes sense, that hearing nothing for two weeks would have logically led you to believe all was well with the work, especially with a time element involved. How very odd that you suddenly hear otherwise. Agreement on that assumption from this household!
-
to all the members on hhw who are jewish a very happy new year.
-
to all the members on hhw who are jewish a very happy new year.
Happy New Year 5776!
And I know that for weeks I'll forget and keep dating my checks 5775.
(sorry, somebody had to tell that Letterman joke)
-
It's going to be a rocky day.
Vibes of peace.
-
Happy New Year!

Sunday morning greetings! A non-Lima Sunday for us - pretty quiet around here...

TOD from September 1st:

"Profoundly Yours"
"Heavily Under the Influence"

Sami's opening night was terrific! The audience participation bit, again, was very funny. This time, Sami wanted the guy to way "bye" to the froggie and he kept putting his arm down and Sami kept picking it up and making him wave bye longer. It got big laughs.
-
We are in Maryland spending the weekend annd Rosh Hashanah with Craig. We don't have free wifi in our room. I borrowed Keith's smart phone to say hi.
-
Hi, DR Jane - did you wave when you flew over Ohio?
-
Congratulations to Sami on her opening night!
-
Yes we did Ginny. Keith saw our home when we took off from Portlad.
-
Dental vibes to DR Vixmom!!!!!!!
-
Congratulations on a successful show!
-
And a very happy new year to all!
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep, I think.
-
DR vixmom - I did not know that your DH had a blog. Looking forward to exploring this more.
Yes I think it's very funny please know that his blog is only loosely based on real events and Mrs Stevie is actually a lovely kind lady who does none of those things attributed to her ;) ;)

How long are you staying for?

Shall I wave as the Vixter and I drive through?

Happy New year to all our Rosh Hashanna celebrants!

Ok I must Get Things Done

Posting at HHW is getting something done.

:)

Like, for example, getting us to PAGE THREE.

Congrats to BK and Sami (and Alby, too) on your successful opening night!!

I shall now be on my way to the theater.

That's wonderful, BK! Congrats to you all!
-
Well, I must be off. I have to take a shower, get dressed, and then leave.
-
Today, I'm ushering for an event at South Puget Sound Community College.
-
Their ushering (and scheduling of events) is organized by the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.
-
This'll be the first event that I usher for, for the 2015-2016 season.
-
Have a good day, all!

Excellent review. And I believe every ecomium.

I'm off to a country-western dinner dance that some friends are throwing at the dance studio I go to. They bid on the party at a fundraiser and it includes dinner, drinks, the band and dancing. Who am I to say no?
-
I am dutifully dressed in a black cowboy shirt and black jeans. No boots (I don't own any). No hat.
-
"Cooks' Country" is making meat loaf covered in mashed potatoes and I want it. Now!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Fred, I forgot to compliment you on your latest parody! Or did I forget that I complimented you?
-
BIG KUDOS to BK, Sami, Alby, and crew.
-
I enjoyed reading the review. A good ad for the show.
Bruce, the review says that the show doesn't close until Oct 4. Is that correct? I thought it only had a few performances. Will there be more matinees?
-

What sort of shoes are you wearing? (Don't mean to get too personal.) A shame you don't have cowboy boots. Enjoy the event.

There is a wake this afternoon for one of the theater friends/legends who passed away last week. It is being held at a local watering hole. I decided that I did not want to spend an afternoon in a tavern on the day when I celebrate my being sober for 22 years.
-
A good sit in the recliner will help to make things right.
As far as I'm concerned, a good sit in a recliner helps make most things right.
-
Back vibes to DR Chas!
-
Lar, just calm down and relax. Everything about your Ohio trip will work out perfectly. I just wish I could be there to hear your speech.
By the way, your 9/11 memory was beautifully told. I want to read the book.
-
Back vibes for Chas!
-
Craig took us to Carvel's today. I got a small soft vanilla on a cone. There was more than i could eat at one sitting. It was delicious. I have a pint of crunchies to take home with me.
-
Silly me, for assuming that after someone has a score for two weeks and there's no words about it that all is well.
I think most people would have assumed that. I suspect things sit on people's desks a lot.
-

I hadn't heard it before and it got a laugh from me.

We would have never thought otherwise. We know the REAL Vixmom/Mrs S!

I don't blame you. I think it was a good decision.

Thank you.

A good week ahead to all.

Well, thank you, dear friend. The book idea comes and goes.
If you climbed on your power scooter this minute, you might be in Ohio by Oct. 7th, and I know my crazy family would love to be your hosts. I admit, I am fretting a helluva lot about this speaking gig. The additional angst over these two recording charts was just the unwanted topper for the weekend.

No. My brother Randy and his chef par excellence wife JoAnn.
My biggest fear is that I will end up having to see them before I can escape to Manhattan.

Now that we are the only ones here, the site is working really well.

Maybe you could wear garlic around your neck? Oh, wait, that is something else.

Lady M does not want my blood; she wants any shekel, drachma, kopek, ruble, franc, centime, shilling, euro, or cent she can suck get out of me.

Oh, God, how I hate that bitch.
-
Great review!!!
-
Car vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
-
Pleasant weather here and nothing to to do which is a magic combination.
I am transcribing an interview that I did with my friend Vickie for the theatre website. I will put it up tomorrow.....and then wait for the internet eye rolls I will get for featuring myself in an article.
-
I still think if the director would just listen and put Vickie with me for the final bow in the show, there would be no way to stop the standing ovation.....no crowd is going to stand up for me bowing by myself....that's a guarantee.
-
I am happy to report the neuroses over the recording have relaxed. Big sigh of relief.
-
Good.
-
Wonderful review Bruce
-
Have you decided if the show will come to NY in November?
-
I am glad that things have calmed down for your Elmore. I am sure you will be wonderful speaking in Zohio, I ish I could be there go see you

-
Dinner tonight was stuffed peppers
-
Actually that was dinner last night too. So tonight I just had to reheat
-
Jeanne, yes, we extended one week to October 4. There are matinees every Sunday.
-
Back from our first matinee with a nice, pretty full house. There was this meet and greet thing with Corey Fogelmanis before the show and that happened. The majority of the audience were kids and I learned a very important lesson - I thought they'd be a great audience but they most assuredly were not. The adults in attendance were laughing and having fun, and I'm sure some of the kids were, just as I'm equally sure that some of the kids may have felt that they were what we skewer in the show - kids who try to be hip and cool, kids who do things they shouldn't - I knew that could potentially happen because Molly is not about any of that. So, I think we're really a show for adults - they "get" it, get what Molly is about, and they also know that she's really a role model and about the right things. Lesson learned. Sami was absolutely great in the first half, but she let all the fidgeting (there were some under tens there, something I'm not really comfortable with) and whispering get to her and for the first time she actually went up and had to get a line from Alby - it was fine, and I do think it won't happen again, but in addition to that she fumfered lines and inverted a few lyrics - I do understand it, but it's an actor's job to not let distractions distract. It's also the last time that anyone tells me or even suggests who's going up for the audience participation. They assured me that if we took Corey's dad up, he would be very uncomfortable - he was okay, but we don't ever want okay - we want someone who is REALLY not used to being on stage. There was someone else I'd pegged and I know he would have been much more fun.
-
After, we all went to the Smoke House - I had a cup of clam chowder, a few pieces of garlic cheese bread, and the regular cut of prime rib.
-
Good news DR ELMORE.
-
Kids in the audience.....yea.....
-
I put this interview up on the website....we shall see what we shall see.

That is a lovely interview Jack!

Happy 22nd anniversary to DR TCB
I am very proud of you,Tom
-
BK have you made a decision about NY?
-
or is it still up in the air?
-
Time Warner, ladies and gentleman. Spazzing out every five minutes so what I'm trying to watch on Netflix keeps stalling. Of course when you call there's no problem. Riiiiight.
-
Good evening, all.
Back from rehearsal, picking up friend at airport, and just a long day of being out and about. Glad to be back home.
-
Kids. Many kids. I would have had a hard time being in that audience.
But if it was a good lesson in dealing with that kind of distraction, then it's good that it happened -- now and not later.
-
Thanks DR VIXMOM.
And yes a BIG congratulations to DR TCB on his anniversary!
-
And yes a BIG congratulations to DR TCB on his anniversary!
Seconded!

Happy 22nd anniversary to DR TCB
Thank you for the good wishes, but I was celebrating a day early. Tomorrow is my AA birthday. 9/14/93.

I wore my dance shoes. And danced my feet off. It was a lot of fun.

Thank you for the good wishes, but I was celebrating a day early. Tomorrow is my AA birthday. 9/14/93.
Then, happy anniversary a day in advance.
-
The shindig was fun. A local favorite band, Almost Patsy Cline, played. Yes, they did a lot of Patsy's songs, but they also did some fun country-western pieces as well as 60s and 70s favorites like "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay." Great stuff to just float away on.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Just before dinner we were treated to a performance from a local service called Mission Road, which offers help to developmentally disabled people of all ages. They had a performance group of adults, who danced, sang and performed in sign language. It was a genuinely moving event. Lots of tears in the audience.
-
Watching Still Alice, which is not as depressing as I thought it would be. The performances are too good, and the people so real that it's more powerful than grim.
-
Good night, all.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Really? Page five?
-
Page six? Really?
-
Page seven? Really?
-
Well, that didn't work.
