Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Jewish, and now it is time for you to post until the Jewish cows come home - they're currently eating some MOOtzah.
-
And the word of the day is: MOLLIFY!
-
First post after BK!
-
A Very Happy Birthday to Singdaw!! :D
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy Birthday, Mr. Singdaw, sir!

Hmmm... the Turkey Trot. How appropriate for today! :)
-
Thank you, bk!
-
Thank you, DR George!
-
Thank you, DR ChasSmith!
-
I am presenting to some groups today at a facility unknown to me, so I have to get ready extra early and be on my way.
-
Good morning, all! So, I woke up to find I am $16.00 overdrawn and $10 in my wallet till Social Security arrives on Wednesday. I hate being poor. I'm supposed to be leaving this work comfortably after working my ass off for the past 50 years.
-
What really pisses me off is that my bank will charge me $35 for being overdrawn, so that makes it $52.00 overdrawn.
Shit.
-
And on to happier news.
-
!!!!!!! Happy Anniversary to DR TCB !!!!!!!
-
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to DR Slingshot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
And to work: I'll finish up the first pass on the Moross score for the copyist and then get on to the orchestra parts.
I hate being poor.
-
Happy, happy birthday to DR Singdaw !

Thanks, DR John G! We had a little general mayhem back in June when our treasurer took a bad fall, but her 2 predecessors stepped up and helped us finish out the fiscal year.
-
Congratulations on finishing out your term without sex scandals, drugs or general mayhem -- at least, so I hope!
If she hadn't, do you think we'd hear about it? :)

One presentation down; one to go. It went fine.

Tonight is the premiere of Dancing With the Stars which I am looking forward to seeing.

~ ~ ~ ANNIVERSARY VIBES ~ ~ ~ to DR TCB. 22 years - that's quite an accomplishment. Kudos to you!!!
-
How is the volunteer editing going?
Funny you should ask, DR Jrand64 - and thanks for asking. I just turned in my 7 articles this weekend. Two of them were extensive interviews that required a lot of time on my part, and I think they turned out very well. The newsletter is an online website, and I believe it is open to anyone to read. I will post a link when the issue is "published;" I believe on October 1.
-
Thank you, DR elmore3003!
-
Thanks, DR KevinH!
-
Thank you very much, DR Laura!

Thank you, DR Kerry!

That cake looks wonderful. I can't believe that my mother occasionally let me eat Wonder Bread when I was growing up! :)

DR Ginny - thank you very much!
-
Thank you, DR Jennifer!

What a coincidence DR SINGDAW - yesterday I posted a link to an interview that I did with myself and my friend Vickie.
-
I was surprised at some of the questions I asked myself.
-
Thanks for the reminder, DR Jrand65. I wanted to go back and take a peek at that.
Sometimes, the questions we ask ourselves are the hardest of all.
:)
-
A happy Rosh Hashanah to those who celebrate. May your new year be sweet and full of blessings.
This will be the second High Holidays that I have not been employed to sing since moving across the country. I miss the beautiful liturgy.
-
DR Jrand65 -
Well. I just went and read that entire article. It is so well done, and really moving. I just love it! And lots of great vintage photographs, too. Outstanding!
It is really worth the time to check it out, if you have a few minutes.

Very good news, Sing!

And a delightfully delightful interview it was!

Sometimes, the questions we ask ourselves are the hardest of all.
:)
That's why I avoid them at all costs.
;)
-
That's a good trick, DR George! :)
-
Thank you DR SINGDAW, DR JOHN G, and DR GEORGE.
I had been wanting to write something for quite awhile, and both of us being cast in The Game's Afoot seemed to fit.
-
What a coincidence DR SINGDAW - yesterday I posted a link to an interview that I did with myself and my friend Vickie.
I liked the interview very much. Loved the photos, especially the one that has the sign declaring "No Tapping in the Lobby".
-
Loved the Putnam County Playhouse interview!

I thought this Amazon listing was interesting:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C2U6HTO/ref=pe_848020_149412750_em_1p_1_ti
But I haven't had time to compare it to the (I presume now out-of-print) Kritzerland-released version.

Questions like these?
Is it in marble?
Or is it in clay?
Is what I thought a new Rolls
A used Chevrolet?
What can account for these strange pitter pats?
Will this be the dream, the cream, the cats?
Have I the right hunch
Or have I the wrong?
Will it Bach I shall hear or just a Cole Porter song?
Is it a fancy not worth thinking of
Or is it at long last love?

Had a breakfast burrito for the meal o' the day.
-
And how did the breakfast burrito feel about being had?

The presentations are done, and I made my way back to the office before the really hideous rush hour traffic appeared.
Sometimes it is nice to be thankful for the small things.

Funny, but the bells don't play.
It's a quiet thing.

A

Like the turn of a page.
-
I got three trumpets copied for one number, went to Staples to make a photocopy, and I'm now wondering if I will hear from the recording's music director tonight. If I knew, I could plan dinner and the rest of my evening.
-
DR RLP that sign is from Thoroughly Modern Millie and is hanging in our rehearsal center.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Happy Birthday to DR Singdaw!
Hope you're having a good day and an even better evening!
-
Congrats to TCB on his 22-year anniversary!
-
Tomorrow is the first pre-op for my eye surgery. My friend Jan will be coming with me. It shouldn't be a big deal, but I do have a number of questions and hope I'm able to obtain answers. And I'm nervous. My vision is getting worse and I know this is necessary, but there is something about the idea of an incision in my eye that I just don't like! Then, next week I have the 2nd pre-op. That one really should be easy. But I'm more nervous about tomorrow than is warranted.
-
Nicely done article, Jack. I suspect Vickie is quite happy with it, too.
-
Singdaw, you wrote SEVEN articles? That is a LOT of work! Will they be published over several months?
-
TTFN.
-
DR RLP that sign is from Thoroughly Modern Millie and is hanging in our rehearsal center.
Cute.
But not as cute if it had been part of the PCPH ambience.
-
Singdaw, you wrote SEVEN articles? That is a LOT of work! Will they be published over several months?
Bear in mind that "a" is an article, "an" is an article and "the" is an article. That's three right there! :D

to DR Singdaw!
-
Bear in mind that "a" is an article, "an" is an article and "the" is an article. That's three right there! :D
And I have one more - an article of impeachment - for you! :)
-
you wrote SEVEN articles? That is a LOT of work! Will they be published over several months?
I wrote two and edited the rest. Some of them, it would have been a lot less work if I had just written them myself to begin with. ;D
-
Nope - they'll all be published in one shot. There are three annual issues, and each one will have 15-20 articles.
-
Thanks very much, DR Jeanne!
-
And thank ye kindly, DR TCB!

A celebratory cocktail and hors d'oeuvres soiree is about to begin, I think.
-
I think I should be attending to one or two details right about now.
-
Happiest of birthdays to Dear Singsalot
-
today I dropped my car off the mechanic and the Vixter drove me to work
-
But instead, I seem to be frolicking on the Internet.
-
Thank you, dear sweet DR vixmom!!

Which one wore it better?

I asked for an oil change and look see to be sure we would have no issues driving back and forth
-
radiator flush and refill
-
power steering fluid flush and refill
-
new air filter
-
new cabin air filter
-
new serpentine belt
-
tire rotation
-
$435.....
-
but to be fair my car is now winterized and it has essentially received the 50,000 service which I never had done
-
and we will now be taking most of our meals in the timeshare or bringing in sandwiches

And George I see you just passed 52000!
-
ok there are things that must be done
-
And George I see you just passed 52000!
I didn't even notice that!
-
Thanks very much, DR Jane!
You are welcome. I hope you enjoyed your special day.
-
A happy Rosh Hashanah to those who celebrate. May your new year be sweet and full of blessings.
This will be the second High Holidays that I have not been employed to sing since moving across the country. I miss the beautiful liturgy.
Thank you. If I was home I would have listened to some music. We went for a walk in a beautiful neighborhood and passed lots of good Jews walking to Temple. I almost felt guilty but was enjoying my day too much.
-
Before the walk, with Craig and Yogi, we went to Annapolis. It is a charming town and the day was clear and lovely.
-
Well, I'm off to "The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE!! REDUX" rehearsal. Normally as sound board operator, I wouldn't need to be at rehearsal until tech week (aka "Hell Week"), which starts on the 27th, but I was asked to run the sound because all the songs have pre-recorded music.
-
It's much easier for a person like me to be in the tech deck running the sound as opposed to having the stage manager (who is also in the show) going back and forth between the stage to act and tech deck to run the sound...so I'll be there. Fortunately, I don't need to be there every night. I was told just Mondays and Wednesday for the next two weeks, then tech/hell week.
-
Until later!
-
A lull. :-\
-
I'm at the theater just watching the rehearsal.
-
The sound program isn't yet ready for me to run it, so the sound designer is running the sound.
-
I don't think I've ever seen it, even a rehearsal, from the audience.
-
It really makes a difference. :)
-
It's still enjoyable to watch!
-
I have to have some car work tomorrow. I hope it doesn't cost anywhere near yours, Vixmom.
-
Congratulations on your milestone, George.
-
Congratulations on your milestone, George.
Thanks, John!
-
Strange evening at the studio, but the dancing was good.
-
Well, since we're so close...
-
SIX!!
-
And now, back to rehearsal.
-
I got four new tires, a new battery, and better brakes today.
-
Did a jog, made about four ounces of pasta with butter and cheese and am trying to watch a documentary about George Takei but thanks to the brilliant Time Warner, the connection keeps getting lost and I have to play the resume game.
-
Intermission is over.
-
Thanks for capturing that, DR George!
-
And congratulations on your very own millstone!!!
-
The soiree was quite incredible and just broke up due to several of us having early work mornings tomorrow.
-
But it was a lovely day, and thanks to this whole gang here for making it so special. I love you all!!
-
Sorry, I didn't sleep last night, so I have been napping all evening.
-
No napping in the lobby.
-
But it was a lovely day, and thanks to this whole gang here for making it so special. I love you all!!
And love back at you.
-
Jeanne, I am sorry I wasn't here to reassure you. It sounds really scary, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Prayers and vibes to you.
-
I can't think of a Stallone film that I liked.
-
I can't think of a James Woods film.
-
Chas, I have not forgotten you.
-
I am watching MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. The Minnesota Vikings have a quarterback named Teddy Bridgewater. Every time they say start to say his name I think they are going to say Teddy Ruxpin.
-
Wasn't that the name of that creepy teddy bear?
-
How many variations of Peter Pan have been released in the last five years??
Good grief! Let's get back to the good old days when Pan was played by an middle-aged adult woman and was menaced by a dancing pirate who was being chased by a ticking crocodile.
-
Did a jog, made about four ounces of pasta with butter and cheese and am trying to watch a documentary about George Takei but thanks to the brilliant Time Warner, the connection keeps getting lost and I have to play the resume game.
Watching a movie called "Eat with Me" with George Takei.
-
THAT is what childhood is all about.

That sounds dirty!
-
Thank you folks for the anniversary / birthday wishes. It means a lot to me.
-
Thanks for posting, John. I was dying out here.
-
What do you think, John?
-
Should we go for page seven?
-
Okay. Why not.
-
How tough can it be?
-
Maybe not that hard.
-
Okay, John, whatever you say.
-
Seven!!

THAT is what childhood is all about.

Girls will be boys.

How are you doing tonight, TCB?
-
How are you doing tonight, TCB?
Feeling pretty good tonight. Thanks for asking, John. And how about yourself?
-
John, how many days, hours, and minutes have you been on HHW?
-
Good. I should be in bed. But I'm going to watch the rest of this movie first. It's a sweet little film about a gay chef whose mother moves in with him. They communicate best through cooking.
-
Thanks for capturing that, DR George!
And congratulations on your very own millstone!!!
You're welcome, Singdaw, and thank you!
-
when Vixdad got home tonight he announced that he had to bring his car into the mechanic in the morning because it was "making an expensive sound"
-
Well Dominic the Mechanic will be happy
-
Congratulations to George and SloppyJoe!

And now, we're done! I can go home.
Until later.
-
Vixmom, Super Vibes for your vacation!
-
I didn't realize until now that George Takei is playing himself in this movie.
-
We'll be paying off the credit card until New Year's
-
Well my bag is early packed
-
The toiletries bag is packed
-
I have started packing the food bag
-
Good night, all.
-
And I have been downloading music to ye olde ipode
-
The Vixter kindly wrote down the directions for me
-
Tuna sandwiches and bottled water in a Styrofoam cooler makes for easy inexpensive travel.
-
I think I will join John and head off to bed.
That is not what I meant!

Hmmmmm
-
I am off to bed as well , like John and TCB
-
Tuna sandwiches and bottled water in a Styrofoam cooler makes for easy inexpensive travel.
I think there will be more sandwiches and less Cracker Barrel, to my sorrow.
-
But there will be a couple of splurges
-
Goodnight
