Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of pancakes and were back in town, and now it is time for you to post until the back in town cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ATELIER!
-
Many congrats to Laura!
-
George and Chas - glad to hear your respective shows are going so well!
-
Druxy - that's a very nice and intriguing YouTube presentation!
-
George and Chas - glad to hear your respective shows are going so well!
Thanks, Fred!
-
And from yesterday, Thanks Vixmom!
-
Congrats to the familial addition, Laura!
-
After last night's show, there wasn't any organized festivities to ceebrate the opening weekend, so we all pretty much went our own ways. I was hungry, so I went to McMeniman's The Spar (http://www.mcmenamins.com/Spar). I had their Happy Hour mini-hamburger and their Cajun tots. :D
-
When I got home, I found Sami's CD in my mailbox...which is fortunate, since I had actually ordered it. ;)
-
AND it's autographed by Sami herself, as well as Alby Potts and our very own BK! Thanks, BK!
-
I don't know if I'll get to listen to it today, but I will definitely lisen to it tomorrow at work.
-
And now...to bed!
-
CONGRATULATIONS to DR Laura!!!!! :)
-
Lovely theatre reports all around.
-
Glad that the pancakes were good. Hard to understand how they can be so inconsistent with such a signature dish.
-
Good morning to all
-
Have a super final show today
-
I've been listening to Sami in the car as I drive around town. I'm enjoying it and I am up to the Grandfather song.
-
Good morning, all.
-
This morning I fixed something that had been gnawing at me: I moved my drive to Cincinnati from tomorrow to Tuesday. I could see that playing the final show, schlepping my equipment home this evening, packing, and somehow getting my arse out of here first thing in the morning just wasn't going to happen. So now I've got tomorrow, just like Scarlett O'Hara, to relax and get everything done properly.
-
BK, I am thrilled to hear about Du-Par's and the pancakes. It had actually bothered me that that tradition had gone bad for you. What nice news to wake up to this morning. Sometimes it's the little things...not that great pancakes are such a little thing.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations, Laura, on the new addition to the family and to the happy couple.
-
NOT so thrilled to read about a ferkakte 15-ass audience. What in the HELL?
Very glad, though, to know it went well.
-
Congrats, DR Laura!
-
George and Chas - glad to hear your respective shows are going so well!
Thank you, sir. I'm sorry this one's over so soon and can't be seen by more people. The response has been excellent. But they only run 'em for two (count 'em) weeks up there.

I think you will relax and enjoy your final show more. Have a good one.
-
It is comforting to know that I can still go to DuPar's for pancakes and boysenberry syrup.
-
Good morning, all! Jo is frying bacon and it smells wonderful. Time for breakfast!
-
Jealous!
-
BK,
Getting an audience in Equity Waiver theater in Los Angeles and its surroundings has never been easy.
My opening night performance of ORSON WELLES played to an audience of two.
-
As I was saying.......
-
Congrats to DR LAURA on her new family member!
Congrats and good wishes to MR BK & Co, DR GEORGE, and DR CHAS SMITH on their shows today.....
I, too, received my SAMI CD in the mail yesterday with the lovely signatures!!! Thanks!
-
Today is the day for writing the Thank You notes....so we shall see what we shall see.
The man from Carlisle-Branson who brought the flowers to our home yesterday morning said that my father's service was one of the biggest that they had had for awhile.
It was indeed a huge crowd, and extra chairs had to be brought out of the store room so everyone could sit down for the service.
-
And tomorrow starts the business end of the situation.
-
Have a good day DR elmore.
-
Congrats to DR Laura!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
DR Jrand may the "business" end of this go well. It can distract from the emotional part for awhile.
-
I'm back! I haven't had bacon in years and it was really delicious.
Today, I have to work a bit on my presentation, and run some errands.
-
What a nice morning this is-- we even had a bit of rain. Pancakes and bacon would make it perfect!
-
Is anybody delivering? I'll have pancakes and bacon brought to the door. Please.
-
We are going to have french toast this morning made with thick challah slices. Keith's slices have cranberries & orange and mine just raisins. I like the cranberries but not the orange peel.
-
Whew! The Twin Cities marathon is today. The marker point for the final mile runs a few blocks from here.
That means blocked streets, traffic, crowds, and helicopters.
What would normally take about 10 minutes to return from church took about 50.
-
Black Lives Matter was threatening to prevent runners from finishing the race.
I hope that saner heads have prevailed.
-
Today is World Communion Sunday. We sang in 5 languages and sang pieces from 9 different countries.
-
The pancakes are back in town.
I wonder if Lulu is, also.
-
~ ~ ~ PREPARATION VIBES ~ ~ ~ for DR elmore3003!!
-
I'm up, I'm up - I think I got a little over eight hours of sleep.
-
Congrats to all.
-
And of course continued congrats to BK and Sami and company!
-
Has anyone on the East coast gotten their CD yet?
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! Richard and I are back from an uneventful trip to Lima. Shortly after we left there I had a delightful cell phone call from DR Elmore and we've made some plans for the week.
-
At the theater.
-
Show vibes for MR BK & Co.
Ohio vibes for DR ELMORE.
Will there be newspaper coverage?
-
I just watched the first two episodes of the new season of "How To Get Away With Murder." Famke Janssen guest starred in these episodes and it turns out that her character and Annalise Keating (played by Emmy winner Viola Davis) have known each other for a long time...and [NO SPOILERS HERE].
;)

Back. And what is this?
I've driven to deepest darkest Connecticut and back, played a Sondheim show, stopped at the supermarket for some supplies, and we're on PAGE TWO?
-
We have been enjoying our beautiful day. The sun is shining, it is 79 degrees, and there are too many sailboats on the river to count.
-
I should get off the computer and go back to watching the sailboats. We took a long walk along one section of the river and will walk here later on.
-

If you had gone over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house, things might have turned out differently.
-
And yet, here we are...
PAGE THREE!
-
It's now time for "Dictor Who"!
-
I have three episodes to watch.
-
Good evening, in my best Hitchcock tones. I have had a most interesting day, but much of it was rather sad since a dear friend is in poor mental health at the moment, and I do not know how this will work itself out. Something is definitely wrong, and that's all I will say for now on the matter.
We drove out to Germantown to visit with my friend's sister and her daughter, and the day had some lovely moments to it, but I left feeling very melancholy and concerned.
-
Understandable DR ELMORE.
My mother seems to have come down with the flu - so I am dealing with that....and the concerned people who keep ringing my doorbell without calling first.....

Well if you just stayed home and posted we wouldn't be in this mess
-
Well, this is pretty cool...Learn Anatomy By Dissecting Knitted Animals (http://www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/dissecting-knitted-creatures).
-
Maybe Sami can use this for the next time that she performs the show:

Has anyone on the East coast gotten their CD yet?
This guy on the third coast hasn't.
-
I should be writing.
-
But I'm not.
-
Unless posting is considered writing.
-
But what does that have to do with it?
-
;)
-
You can tell I long to work.
-
How can we only be half-way through page three?
-
No time to think of that.
-
Am listening to -- and enjoying -- Hangover Square.
-
Are you getting the HANG of it?
-
:)
-
See what I did, there?
-
;)
-
Yes, I thought you did.
-
Ba Dum Bum.
-
I'll be here all week, folks!
-
Elvis has left the building.
-
If I go to bed now, I'll be up at some unGodly early hour.
-
But it's so tempting...
-
It is calling me...
-
But PAGE FOUR is also calling me...
-
Which will win?
-
This afternoon I went over to my folk house for awhile
-
Dad was awake and actually Said a few words to me.
-
Which was very nice
-
We went on their computer and we looked at pictures of the theme parks and I told them about our trip
-
This morning at church I was the assisting minister , that means , amongst other things,I read the prayer of the day.
-
Understandable DR ELMORE.
My mother seems to have come down with the flu - so I am dealing with that....and the concerned people who keep ringing my doorbell without calling first.....
What a shame. Vibes she will soon be well. You are still in the time period where people do just stop by. I suggest putting a note on the doorbell asking it not be rung.. Maybe a notepad too so people can leave messages that they stopped by.

It is quite long with several petitions including specific petitions for individuals. When I got to th part her I had to red out we pray for the -------family as they mourn the loss and celebrate the life of Ryan I got choked up and had to pause and when I had gathered myself enough to continue, tears still rolling down my cheeks, I looked out to the congregation to see 300 people in tears....Ryan was such a huge part of our congregation for the past 23 years. he is sorely missed
-
DR elmore vibes for your dear friend!
-
Vibes of health for Jack's mom and vibes of comfort for the whole Rand clan
-
Maybe Sami can use this for the next time that she performs the show:

Back from a wonderful closing performance and then food. We had about seventy people, so that was great. They were mostly a really great audience - we did have some kids around eight, and this is just not a show for anyone under ten. Anyone over ten, perfect. One mom and eleven-year-old gal had come all the way from Orange County to see it - they'd read about it. The girl told me it was her life story on the stage. That always makes me feel like we've done something right.
-
Genghis Cohen was great. I gave Sami two gifts - the first was my working draft of the title song Welcome to My World - I never give things like that away, but I inscribed to her lovingly, and she loved getting it - she can see where I fix lines, add things, plus I'd also scribbled in the margin that the show should start with Molly doing the cell phone announcement.
The second gift was a Hirschfield-like sketch of her by James Mulligan - the great Disney artist and fellow who did the Red Gold cover - he imagined Molly/Sami as a Disney girl - he really captured her and she's now the proud owner of a Mulligan original. They gave me a wonderful book of photos and stuff from our long journey here - the private reading, the workshop and the show. Wonderful.
I, of course, am all emotional now because despite some of Sami's craziness and how difficult that is to deal with, this has been a wonderful experience and a huge life-changing growth thing for her. In the last two weeks especially, she found the show and her inner Molly and it's been glorious to watch. I'll miss that part of it. It's why I love working with kids - there's just nothing quite as rewarding.
-
Sami asked for the final show if she could choose the audience member for the Frog bit. I said yes, knowing she would choose me, but while it's much more fun with someone who isn't prepared, I had a great time and I gave her everything she needed to land all the usual comic bits.
-
Congrats on a great closing show, BK!
-
After a rainy start, my NYC trip is turning out to be a lot of fun.
-
Yesterday we went to see Dames at Sea. It was terrific. Lots of dancing and nice songs. The only one I was familiar with before seeing the show was "It's You." The rest of the score is good too.
-
Our evening show was "Something Rotten." Very silly but very funny and fun.
-
The weather has improved greatly. It was actually sunny today and promises to be for the next four days with temps in the high 60's or low 70's.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the posts and notes about this show. Really looking forward to hearing the CD when it arrives in the mail.

That's a show I'd love to see again.
"Pensacola" is a hilarious song.

I have been thinking about seeing this. Do you recommend it?

Well, I have been home all day, just watching TV and doing some laundry. I now want to get out of my house and get something to eat.
-
Good evening!
-
Home from Oregon.
-
It was a beautiful 81 degrees when we left Salem.
-
I waved at Jane and Keith from the 205 bridge.
-
Five!!
-
We went to a stunning casino west of Salem.
-
It was the closest I have seen to a Vegas casino outside of Las Vegas.
-
It has a beautiful
hotel lodge attached to it.
-
And an incredible Sunday Brunch buffet.
-
It is only about twenty miles from the ocean beaches.
-
A real nice vacation destination.
-
Our friend looked about ten years younger today.
-
So I guess our visit was successful.
-
I am trying to talk our friend into coming up here for SECOND SAMUEL.
-
He asked if he could get a copy of the play to read in advance.
-
I think that is a sign that he is seriously considering it.
-
I hope so.
-
Best wishes to BK on the successful completion of his latest triumph!
-
I believe I received the CD yesterday, but I was too tired to open the package.
-
Nicky was one unhappy pussy cat.
-
He is now asleep on the bed, but away from me.
-
Congrats to BK on a great closing of this initial run of the show.
-
And now this boy is dead tired and must hit the sack. Or the proverbial sack, if there isn't a real one to hit.
-
Since I postponed my exeunt for a day, I'll be able to give Welcome to My World a proper listen tomorrow. On the Big Speakers.
-

Another fine mess I've gotten us into.
-
Wait a minute.
What the...?
How did this half-eaten Snickers bar get into my hand?
-
Oh! I remember now.
It was in my music-carrying bag for emergency use, and somehow or other it got opened and, um, bitten.
An understandable mistake.
-
Nothing to be concerned about.
And nothing to see. Let's all just move along now.
-
Good night, all.
-

I'm glad your last show went well. Nice story about the eleven year old.
-
I waved at Jane and Keith from the 205 bridge.
We might have been on the bridge when you were.
-
Nicky was one unhappy pussy cat.
Poor boy.
-
I am glad that you got away and had a good time.
-
Oh, Jane, guess who was at the show - Geri Lowe.
-
:)
-
Is she still married?
-
I wish I had known to say hello.
-
Six
-
Keith asked if you took a picture.
-
DR TCB you interrupted me ;)
-
DR TCB are you catching up on posts? If so you will see mine regarding a trip to Tacoma to see Second Samuel.

Did you see my answers last evening?
-
I just found out that my former wife passed away last evening.
-
She is still married to Jeff Wissott. She grabbed me in the aisle - you would not recognize her, nor did I until she said something that made me know who she was. I'll be getting together with her at some point.
-
Condolences to TCB.

I just found out that my former wife passed away last evening.
Tom, I'm so sorry. My condolences to you.
