Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the Latvian National Anthem in Cb, and now it is time for you to post until the Latvian cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: REVOLTING!
-
Sorry, for the craziness. Apparently, no backups were working properly and we have lost all the discussions from the 12th to now on the board. I'm furious about it, but there's nothing to be done and that's that. We're not quite so bad on the notes - we were able to restore those to October 29th, but are missing the rest - however, we're looking for those in archived web places and I probably have some of them in Time Machine if I can figure out how to get them, which I can't at the moment. Meanwhile, they are filling in those dates with a temporary notes for each of them, so that our dates will not have any holes.
-
Post number three. This is sad!
-
Although, logically you know it is a computer error, in the back of your head you can't help wondering if you have gone back in time.
-
Good afternoon, all.
Glad to be back and posting.
-
That should have been two posts.
-
Just to get the count up.
-
Yes,

TOD:
DVD: Billy Elliott, the Musical
Car CD: Disc 6 of 17 of John Irving's Avenue of Mysteries

it should have been.
-
We go into blackout mode next week at work. There won't be anybody to do any work requests, so we can take it easy.
-
They seem to have started a day early.
-
How are you, TCB?

Haha!
-
Page one? Really?
-
I blame the Latts. The key of Cb never did anybody any good.
-
Beautiful anthem, though. I was going to post this morning that I sat there and let the whole thing play through.
-
I do have to wonder, though, what there is to do in Latvia after you've sung the anthem.
-
You want Cb? I'll give you Cb.
-
Let's move along...
-
...up to the key of D, shall we?
-
D.
-
I've got better ones, but D will do.
-
We are on page D.
-
Sadly, page D is nowhere near page fifty-three.
-
Well, I have no idea where my posts from this morning may be. I wonder if they will ever come back?
-
Nothing that's missing on the board will come back, at least that's what they've told me. Whatever mechanism is on the old server (which is the problem - it was the last thing he was moving) that is supposed to automatically back us up failed from the 12th forward. I know he'll try to go in and see if any of it can be recovered but I wouldn't count on it. He takes full responsibility for the screw-up and knows exactly when and why it happened, but the back-up should have been in place and wasn't. Meanwhile, and don't ask me how, the tech guy has managed to restore all the notes through November 4th, so that's better than it was - I know he's searching everywhere for cached pages and I'm hoping he can find even more.
-
Page one? Really?
;D
-
He found November 5 - fourteen missing notes to go - digits crossed big time. Meanwhile, the main guy is going to where the old server is and he'll see if any of the missing days of the board can be found - so, I suppose we should send him excellent vibes and xylophones for finding missing topics.

-
BK, your notes for November 15 just showed up!
-
Well, I have no idea where my posts from this morning may be. I wonder if they will ever come back?
They are not under "Bright-Eyed and busy-tailed"?
-
Update: We've now found all but six of the notes and they're keeping on trying to find the missing six, so it's not nearly as bad as it was. Hoping they find the other six.

The really cool electric bed Keith purchased when we were living in the hotel with the horrible mattress is broken. We have separate, so we can adjust the bed to our personal comfort, is split twins on our king size bed frame. The inside of Keith's doesn't go down all the way, yet the outer part is decompressing, causing him to almost roll out of bed. I lied on it last night and couldn't stop laughing it felt so strange.
-
Friday
morning afternoon evening greetings! BK, I'm so sorry about all the technical difficulties here today.
-
I wasn't laughing when I spent almost 2 hours making calls to find out who I needed to speak with to get this fixed.
-
A repair person might call us in 4 days.
-
DR Jane, my sympathies to you for the loss of your aunt.
-
Ginny, you interrupted me ;)
-
DR Jane, my sympathies to you for the loss of your aunt.
Thank you. I was going to write a nice letter to my cousin and his family this morning making it doubly frustrating to be dealing with the bed.
-
Once he posts the ones I found, I think we're down to missing only three, so I have copy for those, should they remain missing, but here's hoping he can find the three and all will be well, and here's hoping they can find the missing board days, too.
-
I did get out for a nice walk which made me feel better.
-
I think I'll go jog.
-
It's like summer outside.
-
It is a clear, beautiful day and Mt. Hood is looking lovely in snow.
-
Keith attempted to take a photo and gave up as it was too windy to hold the camera still.
-
I think I'll go jog.
I miss jogging.
-
Ginny, you interrupted me ;)
Sorry...
-
Ginny, you interrupted me ;)
Sorry...
;D
-
Back from the jog and they've now managed to find all the notes - I'd neglected to send him the title of the 18th so I just sent that and that should be posted and then that part of this nightmare is over.
-
Oops, spoke too soon - there are still two missing, but he's got placeholders for those. I'm hoping I can eventually retrieve them from Time Machine.
-
Excellent news!
-
I had a nice 3.5 hr lunch with Kim Criswell. About 4:15, Ted Chapin walked past the restaurant, saw us, and came in to say hello. He was off to New Jersey for the opening night of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, since his daughter is on the staff of the Two River theater. Joshie will be there as the orchestrator and I have my fingers crossed for him.
-
That you had a nice day brightened mine.
-
What a great lunch, DR Elmore. Was that at Artie's?
-
The other thing about all those posts missing is our individual post counts. For instance, as of right now Elmore shows having posted 35862 posts, but this was captured some time ago:

And Vixmom right now has 34691 posts, but actually had reached this milestone/millstone/plateau:

Hopefully, our missing posts can be found!!

Topic of the Day: I just finished listening to Nevermore (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Nevermore-The-Imaginary-Life-Mysterious-Death-of-Edgar-Allan-Poe-2015-Original-Off-Broadway-Cast/29288#46890), and am now listening to The Light Princess (http://castalbums.org/recordings/The-Light-Princess-2013-Original-London-Cast/29667#47518).
After that, it'll be John Kander: Hidden Treasures, 1950-2015 (http://castalbums.org/recordings/John-Kander-Hidden-Treasures-1950-2015-2015-Compilation/30251#48497).
-
Spent a lot of time with their tech on the phone, and we found one more missing notes in Time Machine, so now we're ONLY missing November 16, and I know exactly what the notes were about that day - they were called something like High School Musicals or whatever, and it was about A Chorus Line I'd just seen the day before. But for some weird reason, it's completely missing in Time Machine - it goes from Sunday's notes, to my first paragraph of Tuesday's notes - Monday's are nowhere to be found. So, unless they can find those archived we'll be missing those. I suppose I could try and rewrite them at some point.
-
Glad to see HHW is back!
-
Does this mean that bk loses his status as the longest running continuous blog on all the Internet? :o
-
I'm sorry about your Aunt, DR Jane.
-
I'm glad you had a nice time with Ms. Criswell, DR elmore !

Thank you DR Kevin.

No one had captured my, which is fine, but I believe when it was mentioned I was at 66,6 something. Does anyone know?

I'm visiting DR Kate in West Seneca, NY.
-
I went to dinner with my friends.

It was 60 degrees here yesterday. Snow is predicted for Sunday.

I believe so.
What on earth are you talking about? I've never missed a day in all these years, so no I don't lose my title. There were notes on Monday and we can't find them, but there's a thing there now in the archive explaining that, and all other dates are accounted for. Why would you jump to such a conclusion?

I read that as does NOT lose. Why I read it that way I have no idea.

Pretty good, thanks !
-
Please say hi from me.
-
Wow, I missed a lot of craziness tech-wise on HHW today! Good luck recovering anything else than can be recovered.
-
I am super sleepy. I am going to go to two fairs tomorrow!
-
Well...

...since we're so close...
-
PAGE FOUR AT ALMOST 7:00 PM ON THE LEFT COAST DANCE!!
-
Well, it's time for me to leave work and go home.
-
Please say hi from me.
I will, DR Jane!
-
I will probably go to Costco or Fred Meyer first.
-
Or both.
-
I have this nagging feeling that I wanted to get something, but I can't remember what it would be.
-
:-\
-
I hate it when that happens.
-
:P
-
So, I'll just walk around and see if anything comes to mind.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!!
-
No one takes that title from me unless i, you know, die.
-
Be back later.
-
And there's only one guy who's even close to me.
-
:D
-
Page four? Really?
-
DR Kate and I both thought that Sandy Bainum did a great job on Criminal Minds
-
Watching Some Like It Hot. Such a fun movie.
-
Good evening.
-
A couple of nights ago, I had three raccoons in my back yard. Unusual in the desert.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
I laughed through GRIMM tonight. Ordinarily, it's rather dark. but tonight's episode was quite quirky and deliberately off-beat.
-
When I opened my iPad I had this mornings posts. If had known whatheppenefi would have tried to sav it instead of refreshing
-
When I refreshed I received a message that I was not authorized to access that board
-
The Vixter is still terribly swollen , poor baby
-
AH HA!
I have returned from ARCADIA and HHW is back!
This is good news!
-
Continued packaging vibes and finding all the missing pieces vibes for MR BK.
Non swollen vibes for THE VIXTER.
Bed fixing vibes for DR JANE.

How was Arcadia, JRand?
-
Had an evening of dinner and dancing. The food was my second pre-Thanksgiving meal. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce. Not my favorite meal.
-
Five!
-
My condolences, Jane.
-
The postman brought a copy of The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical today. It's the cheapest looking CD package I've ever purchased. No label. No listing of the cast. No summary of the show. Not a word about the production, the year it was recorded. Nothing but the name of the show and the authors.
Among the songs is a promising piece called Christmas Leather Love. I'm sure it's about a new recliner.
-
We had about 6 1/2 or 7 inches of snow today.
-
They didn't call off school and it took some of the busses until 5:30 to get the kids in town home. The roads were terrible and there were accidents everywhere. Totally irresponsible of our school system
-
But I don't have a dog in that fight
-
I worked at the office this morning then came home and was here just before it really started getting bad
-
I will have to clear the drive tomorrow and shovel the walks. There is ice under the snow, so not really looking forward to this
-
I'm really tired so I'm going to sleep
-
Craziness on the board. I could have sworn I posted yesterday, but I guess not.
-
Hope they find everything.
-
Night all
-
Enjoy the snow, Cillaliz!
-
I'm headed off to bed, too.
Good night, all.
-
Goodnight Cillaliz and John.
-
Last night after ushering, I had to scrape ice off my windshield.
-
I don't think that we're going to get snow anytime soon...at least, I hope we don't.
-
But it's started to get noticeably colder at night.
-
I'm now watching and recording "First You Dream," the Kander and Ebb special on PBS.
-
But it's started to get noticeably colder at night.
George, it is currently 28 degrees in Olympia. There is a small chance of snow on Monday night / Tuesday morning, but otherwise cold and clear thru Thanksgiving.
-
I was a little over 500 posts away from 50,000, but now I have lost 1,000 posts.
-
I took this evening off from running the show. I am having a real problem finding this character.
-
My niece, who we are having the fundraiser for next weekend, was a passenger in a serious car accident today. That poor girl can't buy a break with someone else's credit card.

Thank you, George.

In the Kander & Ebb show, they're doing a song that I've never heard of from a show I've never heard of: "Military Man" from All About Us.
-
The three men sing it and they each have a different part to sing. They each sing their parts then all three sing their parts together. I love that kind of stuff!
-
I'm making a DVD of the broadcast, but I think I need to buy this. According to the PBS listing (http://www.shoppbs.org/product/index.jsp?productId=80055526&utm_source=PBS&utm_medium=Link&utm_campaign=pbs_content_firstyoudream-kander-ebb_buydvdmodule), there are some bonus songs:
Special Bonus Features include...
She's A Woman/Dressing Them Up from Kiss of the Spider Woman
Blue Crystal/Marry Me from The Rink
I Don't Care Much from Cabaret/Love and Love Alone from The Visit
The Money Tree from The Act/Maybe This Time from Cabaret

Rehearsal is done.

I'm on my tablet and the DVD box is huge on my screen! Is it okay on a desktop computer, or do I need to adjust the size?
-
It looks large, but fine.
-
I fixed it. Now, it doesn't automatically display as large, but if you click on it, it should zoom to its original size.
-
Well, I enjoyed the show.
-
I have heard from our web guy that he's taking triple precautions to make sure everything on every part of the site and board is saved.
-
now I have lost 1,000 posts.
So that's what, about two day's worth? ;)
-
Once again, I find myself up in the middle of the night.
-
In the Kander & Ebb show, they're doing a song that I've never heard of from a show I've never heard of: "Military Man" from All About Us.
I don't remember this song specifically, but I saw the workshop production of this show, with former DR JoseSPiano at the piano. And he was kind enough to introduce me to Mr. Kander, who was most gracious.
-
I had to hang up on a customer today. I was trying my best to help them, but they had obviously worked themselves up into a snit before they even called, and when they got more and more verbally abusive, I finally told them that they could call us back when they felt that they could be civil, and hung up.
