Well, you've read the notes, the notes were halfway, and now it is time for you to post until the halfway cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CINEASTE!
-
The first post after BK!
-
Congrats to Matthew on the birth of his nephew!
-
If you actually bought a Powerball ticket this week, and if you were to actually win the $1.2 billion jackpot; what would you do with the money?
{Keep in mind that the cash payout would be a little more than 50% of the $1,200,000,000.00 (would that be correct?}, and you would then have, at least 40% taken for taxes}
-
Besides hiring Fred as your tax accountant!
-
Sweet dreams!
-
Good night, Tom!
-
Last night, Theater Artists Olympia had a fund raiser to raise some funds for our performance space, The Midnight Sun. I haven't added up everything (we have some on-line donations that haven't been deposited), but I think we'll bring in at least $300 - $400 more than from previous fund raisers!
-
Everyone loved it! We had 32 presold tickets and then another 16 were sold at the door! The place was filled. Hopefully, if we do something like this again, it'll be as successful. :D
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Yesterday was mild and dry
-
Today it is POURING down rain and the windows are rattling from the blasts of wind
-
Today is of course the day I drive to Manhattan to enjoy my Christmas present from Vixdad
-
Stoooooooooooooooooooooooooopid weather
-
Since I am not scheduled to be lay reader, nor assisting minister, nor communion assistant, nor altar guild, nor coffee hour today I have decided to ease into the day and I am enjoying a bowl of vanilla, almond, flax seed oatmeal and a mug of Dunkin donuts (Keurig) peppermint mocha coffee with peppermint mocha creamer
-
A sweet tooth? Who, I?
-
I suppose I should check to see if. I am a billionaire
-
Good morning, all! Yes, it is indeed quite lousy outside.
I have to leave shortly for City Center. Joshie and i have to finish the Act One finale so that tomorrow he can print band parts and corrected scores for Tuesday's orchestra reading. I was hoping we'd get to this yesterday, but, Miracle Copyists that he is, he can only work on things when they come in to him. Our goal a week ago was to have 10 numbers ready for Tuesday, and we will have 12.
However, today's schedule has wreaked havoc with my original weekend plans and that's a bummer.
-
Besides hiring Fred as your tax accountant!
That sounds like a good plan!

I was dreaming that I was running around some mall, intending to buy a pair of shoes. I was meeting someone at the shoe store, but I decided to go to a large dept. store instead and browse. Then I went back, met my friend - I cannot place this person in my life - and we went to Willis Music. Stephen Cole, who wrote book and lyrics for The Night of the Hunter, came with us.
Earlier, I had one of my unsettling ghost dreams: I was back in my childhood bedroom, and the spirits were of young people.
-
Spoiler alert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not a winner
-
I think that is all of my news. I am pondering breakfast at the moment: here or at City Center. I wish there were a Dunkin' Donuts on the way.
-
Apparently there were several winners of $1 million and $2 million prizes
-
DR vixmom, please drive very carefully into Manhattan today. I hope you enjoy the show. I loved it.
-
So check your tickets carefully!
-
Happy news yesterday from DR Matthew. Congratulations!

I am very much looking forward to this show based upon your recommendation, Dear!

Which Willis Music was it, DR Elmore?
I don't know how many stores they had. I only knew the downtown Cincinnati and downtown Cleveland ones, but am I correct in thinking they had one or more "suburban" stores?
-
Wow well I into page 2 on a wet Sunday morning and it is not yet 10:30 in the A m
-
Church was not well Attended. It truly was bucketing down so I guess it frightened away the masses
-
Our umbrella was blown inside out on the way into church

Fortunately I have another, more robust, model which I will be taking to the city

Vibes they do and your drive is easy.
-
Good Morning!!!
-
I'm up, I'm up. Alarm went off at ten but I just couldn't get out of bed until now. About seven and a half hours of sleep, I think.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Congrats to Uncle Matthew!
-
Last night I returned to the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts to see our own Sandy Bainum in Mame, this time with friends. It's a really good production and Sandy really shines!
-
Sally Struthers is hilarious and the actress who plays Vera has a great strong voice.
-
After the show Sandy spotted me and came over to say hello. I introduced her to my friends and she greeted them with hugs--she's so warm and friendly in addition to being very talented!
-
I bought 2 tickets for the next Powerball. $4. Big spender, I know.
-
DR vixmom --you're seeing Gentleman's Guide right now. I know you'll enjoy it! I saw it four times and really wish I had planned to see it again in NY. It's coming to the Kennedy Center this month but I can't imagine it will be as good without Jefferson Mays and Bryce Pinkham.

Sunday afternoon greetings! Rainy and foggy here in Boston and I'm very glad to be staying in the hotel that's connected to the convention center. On my way down to Starbucks for breakfast this morning I ran into the son of a former Dayton co-worker in the elevator. He's an important officer within ALA, but was nice enough to suggest taking a selfie of the 2 of us:

My first session was the Penguin/Random House book buzz, where they served mimosas. From there I went to the exhibits and ran into several colleagues from Dayton and attended the Workman/Algonquin book buzz.

Here is a portion of the email Fr. Richard sent to Lima just after noon today:
"I am home safe and sound. What stopped me from reaching Lima was a tractor-trailer that had jack-knifed just beyond one exit north of Wapokonetta. It was blocking the entirety of North Bound I-75. With other cars, I had to turn around backwards and drive South on Northbound 75 and get off at the exit just below where we were stopped. Plus it was snowing hard and the roads were becoming slick and covered, and the snow plows were barely keeping up with the snowfall."
Yikes!

Very nice picture, Ginny.

Tonight are the Golden Globes. I am looking forward to watching the E! red carpet.

My niece wants me to record these, but only make a DVD if certain people or movies win.
-
Futzed and finessed, wrote two new pages, then printed out everything new except for the two new pages, ninety-eight pages in all, and got them Xeroxed and over to Muse Margaret. Then I had a Cobb Salad and a bagel and now I must write some new pages.
-
Went down to the lobby hoping to eat a late lunch/early dinner, but it was so noisy I came back upstairs and ordered room service. It wasn't cheap, but just right - lobster roll, garden salad, white wine. I also have a trio of mini cupcakes for dessert, but I'm saving them for later.
-
Been trying to locate the song "Show Tune" by Jerry Herman. The Jerry's Girls score leaves out the patter verse and I'm trying to find that. I know it exists because I've seen it! But where, I can't remember. It's not in the Jerry Herman songbook. I believe I saw it in an obscure Broadway "selections" book at some point. Try googling Jerry Herman and Showtune - and you come up with the title of his auto-biography and/or the name of the newest Jerry Herman revue. It's a mess!! LOL
-
Apparently there were several winners of $1 million and $2 million prizes
There was a 1 million dollar winner here in town, but it wasn't me
-
Is anyone else watching the Golden Globes?
-
Well, the pre show
-
Hmmmm Hello...hello.....hellooo
-
My neighbor finished up moving out today. I was looking for her, but missed seeing her. It's ok, she's just moving across town

I hope he waited until he was home to show you this.

I am very mad at the Cooper's Hawk. Last night it killed a rabbit and left the entrails and a little fur for me. Yuck! I'm sure it was the hawk, there isn't much blood and no drag marks like a mammal would leave. I'm going to quit feeding the birds for a few days.
-
I get the circle of life but it doesn't need to happen two feet in front of my window!

Hi Jane
-
We saw Star Wars today :)
On the way home we stopped and walked a different section of the river than by us. The sun was shinning and there were lots of sailboats, and walkers. It was lovely.
-
Is anyone else watching the Golden Globes?
Yes, DR Cillaliz, I am. At least until it's time for Downton Abbey.

I've been writing and writing, but have somehow only done five pages. Geez. I'll try to do another three before I leave, but there may not be time. So, I'll definitely try to get to ten pages when I get home later. Haven't heard from Muse Margaret. Was hoping I would have before leaving, because I think I'll be home too late to call her back if she calls while I'm at the play.

I bet you were glad to be having fun in Boston instead of in the car with him ;)

I have Downton Abbey set to record.
We are waiting for our jet lag to ease up more before watching the episodes we missed. Maybe tonight. We thought we were fine the last two nights and weren't.
Never watch an episode of Sherlock while suffering from jet lag ;D
-
Neither do I.
Neither do I.

Home from a wonderful day
-
The weather worried me for a bit. It started to pour down buckets again just as I got into the car to head into the city but it slowed and then stopped by time I had gone a couple of miles and by time I was ready to park there wasn't sign of rain and the temperature was mild
-
And now, I've switched over to GALAVANT.
-
Vixdad got me a great seat, 2nd row center mezzanine and the show was so much fun.
-
I must get a copy of the cast recording The lyrics were so clever but I missed a lot because I was laughing so much
-
A couple of good friends were in the city and we met up for a dinner and laughed and ate and laughed some more
-
The drive home was uneventful
-
Which is always nice
-
I am sorry to hear Richards drive was not uneventful but thankful that he made it home safe and sound
-
Thanks, George, for the run down of winners.
-
Has anyone seen this musical on CW that Rachel Bloom won the award for? Crazy Ex-Girlfriend I think it's called.
-
Great photo, Ginny.
-
Glad you enjoyed the show, Vixmom.
-
Six!
-
DR falling asleep after a very full day.... Vixmom!
-
Back from Another Antigone - not much of a play, really, and certainly not helped by a production with lousy blocking.
-
Sounds lousy. And Greek, to boot.
-
Good night, all.
-

Good.
-
DR Vixmom I'm glad you had a fun time.
-
Taking a break from running lines.
-
Actually, I am having trouble staying awake.
-
Go to sleep then.
'night
-
Go to sleep then.
'night
Nope, can't do that.
-
Quiet night here in Hainesville.
-
You would think it was a Sunday night.
-
BK is probably plowing through another volume of his next opus.
-
No more nights off until Friday.
-
I guess they are having dry tech on Friday.
-
Less than two weeks until opening night.
-
My Seahawks won today in what could have been called the Froze bowl.
-
Six degrees below zero at kick-off.
-
Improbable game all the way around.
-
But a victory is a victory.
-
Next weekend we face the Carolina Panthers.
-
I don't hold up much hope for us in that game.
-
Another road game for us.
-
Former DR Jed's play opened Friday night.
-
Opening night comments were mixed.
-
The play is three hours long.
-
Almost to page seven.
-
One more post.
-
Seven!
-
I just finished watching the third and final episode of "Childhood's End" that was on Syfy.
-
I never read the book, but I didn't get this. It wasn't bad, per se, but I just didn't get the point of it. :-\
