Well, you've read the notes, the notes didn't let hell have the upper hand, and now it is time for you to post until the upper hand cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CHIROGRAPHY!
-
Tom, last night (just a few minutes ago), you wrote:
I am sure that is true of you in Olympia.
Yes, this is quite true. :)
-
First and second posts after BK!
-
First Third post after BK!
-
First post after TCB.
-
I wonder if Jane booked a hotel in Tacoma, yet?
-
Today will be the first Old Actor's Lunch I have attended in over a month.
-
I should probably wear a name tag!
-
I should probably wear a name tag!
They couldn't forget you!

I should probably wear a name tag!
They couldn't forget you!
I don't know. They are old.
-
I guess I should read a little before lights out
-
Good night, George. Have a good day at work.
-
Good night, George. Have a good day at work.
Thanks, Tom. Have a good day...and a good time at your Old Actor's Lunch! :D
-
Well, I must go to sleep now. This evening, I'm ushering for Pink Martini (http://www.washingtoncenter.org/upcoming-events/2016/1/13/pink-martini.html) at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts! I saw them here about a year and a half ago, and have loved them since I discovered them on CD many years ago. I can't wait!
-
First in the morning after TCB and George!
-
I have nothing to report.
-
But I wish a great day to bk and all DRs.
-
It's morning-- that much I know.
-
I wonder if Jane booked a hotel in Tacoma, yet?
I will today. If the prices are equal should I go with Silver Cloud or Murano?
-
DR TCB what if you go to Jeds play and leave at the intermission. If you let him know beforehand he will understand 3 hours is a long play for you.
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, I have surely accomplished enough for 9:45 in the ayem. Got up at 6:30 to scrape the driveway of the covering we got, hoping to at least clear good tire tracks. But, realizing it was just light snow, I fired up the leaf blower and in fifteen minutes with zero effort I had a totally clear, black asphalt driveway.
-
However, I'd used up the fuel supply, and when putting my boots on, one worn lace had torn off in my hand, and I was beginning to crave a reward in the form of a breakfast sandwich of some kind. So after the driveway was clear and everyone was out of here, I measured the lace, put a gas can in the car, and made stops at CVS for laces, McDonald's for a bacon egg and cheese McGriddle, the Shell station for a few gallons of petrol, and took my arse back home.
-
I also paid two ugly bills.
Man, were they ever ugly.
-
Good morning, all! I slept late, as I had planned to, and I am finally moving about. I think I may begin my 2015 tax tallies today.
-
My last dream was a doozy. I remember little about it now, but there was a string of personalities; Hyacinth Bucket - not Patricia Routledge - was in it.
-
I also fed the feline contingent.
So, at 9:45 I was hitting the recliner with about as clear a conscience as one can hope for on such a morning.
-
I do need to go to the corner bodega for some items, and I may travel up to the big market for some apples.
-
And here I shall stay for a little while.
And then I shall work on some music.
-
For the rest of the day is mine. All mine.
-
Top o' the morning, DR Elmore!
-
Well, that got rid of him. :D
-
Well, that got rid of him. :D
Sorry, DR ChasSmith! I'm gearing up my strength to go out in the cold.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Richard and I had an uneventful ride home from the airport last night. We stopped at Arby's for sandwiches to eat while watching NCIS. Then we watched the State of the Union and I went to bed. I love traveling, don't mind flying, but I really find the changing planes routine exhausting. All in all, though, yesterday's travel was not as bad as it could have been. My flight from Philadelphia to Dayton was only delayed an hour and that was due to our plane being late coming in from where ever it had been before.
-
Glad to hear that DR GINNY is safe at home!
Congrats to MR BK on the confirmation of his birth AND on getting his pension started!
-
Finding some nice apple vibes for DR ELMORE.
AND continued writing vibes for MR BK.
-
That's a LOT of work for early in the morning DR CHAS SMITH.
I also like to use the leaf blower on lightly packed fluffy snow....and when i tell people I do it, they look at me like I'm crazy......
-
Today....I shall attempt to move my address book & folders from my old computer to my new one.....since I was finally able to download the Thunderbird Email protocol....we shall see what happens.
-
It is brisk outside - 26 degrees F - but the bodega is hopping. A customer wanted to get tickets for tonight's Powerball lottery, and the store owner told her they were completely sold out of Powerball tickets.
-
Congrats to MR BK on the confirmation of his birth
Yes, happy and relieved to hear that BK can now prove he was born!
-
Wow, here's a news story from Detroit about a teacher from my elementary school:

I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.

Nice gift! I enjoyed the DIA very much though I preferred the Toledo Art Museum.
-
I have tons of ironing to do this morning, or at least as much as my shoulder will tolerate.
-
Holy moley. I'd found this great deal on the "From the Earth to the Moon" DVD set (first edition, for original aspect ratio) on eBay Monday evening, and it gets delivered on Wednesday morning. Plus, it's in beautiful condition and was well packaged. Gotta love it when all of that happens. I do believe I'll be giving Disc 1 a spin this evening.
-
Hell (in keeping with today's theme), maybe even Disc 2.
-
Futzed and finessed and in the process added almost a page. The ending of the chapter, which came to me last night - the idea is really good, but I hadn't written it that well - so I rewrote a lot of that and now it does what it should. I'll try to write a page before I leave but not sure there will be time.
-
Fortunately most of the ironing I had to do ironed easily and I am done.
-
Glad to hear that DR GINNY is safe at home!
Congrats to MR BK on the confirmation of his birth AND on getting his pension started!
Ditto and Ditto AND Ditto!!
-
Good news DR JANE.
-
Getting a bit warmer here....so TOMORROW will be shopping/banking day this week.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
What was the most exciting movie preview you saw when you were little....the one that MADE you most want to see the movie?
-

Congrats to the museum!
-
It was a chilly trip to market, and I am home.
-
Good afternoon, all.
Thank goodness for divine inspiration, BK. It always get in the writing process.
-
Busy day today and not with work work. I judged a series of articles in a military journalism competition. Some were very good. Some had atrocious grammar.
I have two more parts two judge.
-
One of my favorite errors was in a story about a man who risked his live to try to save two drowning people. the author wrote, "... One of the victim's lives..."
Was he a cat?
-
Good news DR JANE.
Thanks. My shoulder reached it's limit just as I was done.
-
Three!
-
It's warm here today, but my feet are freezing. I hate that.

Glad you made it home safely, Ginny.
-
This has been a total waste of a day. I've accomplished nothing.
Maybe I will do better tomorrow!
-
Sometimes it's nice to have a day like that DR ELMORE!
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
What was the most exciting movie preview you saw when you were little....the one that MADE you most want to see the movie?
If you mean coming attraction, probably The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.
-
DR Jennifer are you ok?
-
Finally back from the meeting and then a sandwich and a few onion rings. Obviously I must write many pages right now.
-
Hello!
-
Another cold day in the DC area, but it is winter after all.
-
Only a few more hours as a non-billionaire.
-
How can you sell out of Powerball tickets?
-
Off to choir rehearsal!
-
How can you sell out of Powerball tickets?
Maybe they actually ran out of paper for the printing of the tickets?
-
DR Jennifer are you ok?
Yes, why?
-
Well, it's time for me to leave so that I can usher for a performance by Pink Martini! I'm sure that the theater is sold out, or at least very full, AND that it'll be a great concert.
Be back later!
-
DR Jennifer are you ok?
Yes, why?
You have been quiet the last few days :)
-
Page three? Really?
-
I, on the other hand, have done six pages thus far, so hoping to do eight more.
-
So that would make a grand daily total of... uh... 14? :)
-
Well, it was a post.
-
It was very cold out tonight
-
But I was happy to pAy $1.95 a gallon for gas
-
$1.92 here at Costco.
-
And I just devoured the first disc -- the first four hour-long episodes -- of "From the Earth to the Moon"!
-
Where is everyone?
-
Did someone win the powerball ?
-
Tomorrow better be a more productive day than the last two
-
I spent most of God day throwing away complete paperwork
-
Sorry going to change the loan Amount
-
Sorry going to change the closing date
-
Sorry going to change type of ownership
-
Page four complaining dance
-
Chas. I hope you are enjoying from earth to the moon
-
I love it. Thank you so much for the heads up on it.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I think I've done ten pages - need to take a break then read them - not sure about the stuff yet.
-
Good evening. I've had a week similar to what Vixmom just described. People are just crazy this week. Is it Mercury in Retrograde? Is it a full moon? It's something
-
Yesterday I got the surprise visit from the state lawyers trust account auditor. Since I keep my books at home, I had last night to get them in good order for her when she came back today. She called this morning to see if I had my homework done, then came in the afternoon. I passed with flying colors today, but it's still nerve wracking
-
While she was there, they were changing all our light fixtures from fluorescent to LED. 4 guys, two ladders and a lot of chaos. Meanwhile the phone was ringing off the hook with people who had bizarre questions or questions that really had nothing to do with my practice, I was nice, but they were interrupting the interruption of what I was planning to do.
-
Bob was getting similar calls and stuck his head out of his office once and said "Is it a full moon, they are all freaking crazy" I think he forgot the auditor and workmen were all there
-
It's been like that all week. At least it was a really warm day today. It actually got above freezing
-
We've been having single digit and below zero temps for most of the last week. They'll be back on the weekend
-
Ginny, I had to laugh when you said your baggage claim ticket says DAY. When I fly into Sioux City, it say SUX
-
I'm planning to see some movies this weekend. There are a number I want to see and most of them are in town. I wanted to see Concussion, but I think I'll wait until it's on TV via rental and see the movies that have more of a cinematographic experience in the theater. I've heard great things about The Revenant (or as Paul says, The Relevant) has anyone seen it?
-
At the office I am about to discover exactly how many times a governmental agency can ask me for the same document I've given them. We're up to 3 times. Tomorrow is another day and if I get another email asking for the same thing again I may just throw my computer out the window
-
Not that I'm frustrated or anything
-
JRand, I tried Windows 10 as an upgrade on one of my laptops and couldn't revert back soon enough. I don't plan to change unless they make me
-
I actually bought a couple extra computers a while back. One I got right before Edith left. I'm keeping that one as a replacement at work. The other I got to do my photography and other stuff in at home and just haven't gotten to it. I should probably turn that one on and let it update........
-
Anyway, even though they are both a couple years old they are my next new computers
-
Ok there are 5 guests....where is everyone? You'd think that everyone won the powerball or something
-
Last drawing I had two chances and got one number right
-
tonight I had two chances and got no numbers right. I guess winning the powerball is not on my schedule
-
I am still registering for the HGTV dream home and the Lumber Liquidators $5000 in flooring sweepstakes. Not quite as glamorous as 1.5 billion, but it would be fantastic
-
Good grief, page 4 seems like a very long page
-
I quit feeding the birds for a couple days due to the hawk killing birds and rabbits in my yard
-
But when I saw the poor squirrel eating suet because he was so hungry, I gave in. It's survival of the fittest. I may move the feeder under the tree or something so it isn't in the open. I better figure that out before we go back into the deep freeze with sub zero temps this weekend
-
My neighbor has moved out completely and closes in the house sometime this week. Very curious about the new owners. He owns or works for an IT firm in Seattle and his wife is from here. They are keeping the Seattle house and will only be here part of the time. I'm not sure about all that and am anxious to meet them and et the whole story
-
They aren't going to be at the closing, but will have someone there for them. I really hope the house doesn't sit empty all the time
-
Am I on page 5 yet
-
WHEW!
-
So, what else do I know
-
Tomorrow I have to deliver 12 handbags/backpacks filled with toiletries to the handbags for the homeless group. My PEO group collected them We had a lot of members in warmer climes this meeting so we'll collect more in February. They are distributed to three different shelters and handed out to the homeless. They have the necessities in them and they get a gently used, not abused purse or backpack. I think it's a cool idea.
-
Yesterday I had a client get sentenced to prison He'll only do about a year, but his teenage daughter started wailing, literally just sobbing....his ex wife (mom of daughter) and her wife were there for the kids, but the ex girlfriend of my client and her family were in the back and laughed while all this went on. Like I said, it's been a week. My client will be fine, he's been to prison before and was looking at a lot more time, but we were hoping for probation. Can't win em all.
-
Tomorrow I have nothing on the schedule, thank god. I can figure out what's on my desk, sort out what I need to get done and hopefully get some work done in peace and quiet. I need to visit a couple guys in jail, but that won't be too bad
-
Sunday I'm going to go to one of my favorite bar/pizza places and meet Chris Christie. Still haven't decided who I'm going to caucus for. I missed him when he was at the donut shop. He's campaigning at an ice cream parlor before he comes here. You can't make this up.
-
Not to get political, but as an observation, Hillary filled the lobby of the Orphem. 8 years ago, before he was a real contender, Obama filled the theater that holds......2500 I think. She just doesn't pull the crowds. Of course everyone knows her, so there isn't really a reason to go see her. But, I really think Bernie is going to win Iowa.
-
Carly Fiorina's husband has left three messages on my voicemail. I'm beginning to feel like I'm being stalked, lol.
-
I hate the last few weeks before caucuses. I've begun to answer the calls just to see who is the most desperate. The survey calls all start with "Would you be willing to answer a few questions" I say no and hang up.
-
Bernie's campaign has been leaving messages too.
-
O'Mally left a couple
-
My mailbox is full of stuff from Jeb
-
Trump sent me a Christmas card, funny it wasn't HUGE
-
So the bottom line is I'm hearing from all the candidates in both parties....come to think of it, I think I even had a message that Hillary was coming to town. I went to her rally but she was going to be an hour late and I wasn't going to stand that long so I went back to work
-
Not trying to be political. But that's all that's going on in Iowa right now. You can't avoid it if you are alive and breathing. I really don't care much this year and have toyed with just skipping the caucus. Not even sure which party's caucus I'll go to if I do go. But it's interesting to meet the candidates and see them in person. I sort of feel like I should since most people don't get that opportunity. I just wish they'd quit calling
-
I would get rid of my landline, but it's the only phone number of mine that my mom remembers
-
Well, I've gotten us down to one guest.....
-
Books....I'm reading Patrick Kennedy's book
-
I haven't read the Astronaut Wive's book but I loved the tv series based on the book
-
I'm not sure I have what it takes to get us one more page alone
-
I guess I could dance like no one is watching
-
I am tired, and relieved. I hate audits.
-
Although she was very pleasant
-
When I lived in Arizona and came to Iowa to visit in the summer, my luggage never made it on the plane because of weight restrictions in the heat
-
I just packed accordingly and made sure anything I cared about was in my carryon
-
Braniff lost my luggage for a month once. They found it in a hotel in Sioux Falls. There was no hotel in Sioux Falls on my itinerary, but it was nice when they Fed Exed it back to Phoenix. Guess they didn't trust their own planes
-
Oh let's get to page 6
-
almost there
-
Hope my political notes don't offend....just random thoughts to fill the page
-
Ta da
-
My job is done here
-
64 posts in a row. Is that a record?
-
. I've heard great things about The Revenant (or as Paul says, The Relevant) has anyone seen it?
Keith and I have curious about it too.
-
I've had The Revenant here for weeks - I won't watch it because I here it's hyper violent, very long, and I don't need that.
-
Thirteen pages. Between now and midnight I'll do one more.
-
DR Cilla I found your random political thoughts rather generic and, IMHO, safe.
-
64 posts in a row. Is that a record?
You were amazing :)
-
I've had The Revenant here for weeks - I won't watch it because I here it's hyper violent, very long, and I don't need that.
Thanks. I think we will wait until we can watch it at home.

One of the old actors saw THE REVENANT the other night. He said the film is beautifully made and that Leo is terrific, but he walked out of the film asking himself, "Did I really need to sit through that?"
-
Oh, sorry....
Good evening!
-
Sorry I couldn't be here to help Cilla, but you know how directors are about leaving rehearsal early to post on the Internet.
-
Politically speaking, I am looking for property in British Columbia.
(I was going to say Vancouver, but I didn't want people thinking I was moving in with Jane and Keith.)
-
George must be still drinking pink martinis.
I think I got that right.
-
Tonight at rehearsal, we had photos done for the lobby display, the programs, and for publicity. I wasn't used in the publicity photos. Oh well!
-
Everyone seemed a little bit off tonight at rehearsal.
-
Lines were dropped, cues were missed, and blocking seemed all screwed up.
-
But, we still are over a week out from opening.
-
We could afford an off night.
-
Better this week than next week.
-
Fourteen pages and really the beginning of the fifteenth page - so a good day's writing that I didn't start doing until four o'clock. It was very herky-jerky as I went into this chapter, but I got in the swing of it eventually then went back and futzed and finessed the first few pages. It was very hard choosing the final restaurant - I just couldn't settle on one that seemed just right - so I did some Google searching and there it was, the perfect choice.
-
Jane , that was a good idea about only staying for the first act of ARCADIA, but I have pretty well decided to skip the production. I will offer my apologies to Jed.
-
One reviewer said the scenes between Deya Ozburn and Jed, "burn white hot.". I am guessing that is a compliment.
-
Very quiet tonight.
-
Not only here at HHW,
-
But also here in the apartment building.
-
No noise at all from my upstage neighbors.
-
Strange, since I saw her car was here.
-
In fact, her car was one of the only ones out back in the tenant parking.
-
One more post.
-
SEVEN

Well, it's time for me to leave so that I can usher for a performance by Pink Martini! I'm sure that the theater is sold out, or at least very full, AND that it'll be a great concert.
Be back later!
They are still fantastic! I loved their show and their music and the theater was FILLED! I was up in the mezzanine (second balcony) and I saw only three or four empty seats in the whole section. Everyone was polite and really was glad to be there and no one was disappointed. Highly recommended. :D
-
However, one usher on the same level (but on the other side of the theater) was on her phone, texting and talking THE WHOLE TIME! :o
-
I don't know if she had some family emergency that she needed to keep track of (just to give her the benefit of the doubt), but before the theater was open, a LOT during the pre-show when we're helping people find their seats, and during the intermission she was on that phone. I even saw her face lit up because of her phone DURING THE SHOW! WTF??
-
I told one of tonight's house managers about her (again, saying that I didn't know if she had some family emergency that she needed to keep track of), and I was told to e-mail the volunteer coordinator, so I'll have to do that in the next day or two. I don't want to get her fired, but she wasn't doing anything to help the patrons. I don't think that I've never seen anyone that unhelpful in all the years that I've ushered. :-\
-
But, I didn't let that stop me from enjoying the wonderful show. ;D
-
Afterward, my friend Margo and I went to McMenamins Spar Café (http://www.mcmenamins.com/Spar) for some after show dinner. I only had their happy hour mini-cheeseburger and Cajun tots (my usual...and delish, as usual) and I'm stuffed.
-
But I was happy to pAy $1.95 a gallon for gas
$1.92 here at Costco.
The last time the price went under $2, which was the first time since Bush left office, ONCE I paid $1.96/gallon. It's gone up since then, but not anywhere near what it used to be. Hopefully, it'll be under $2 around here...hopefully.
-
Did someone win the powerball ?
Yup.
-
Yesterday I had a client get sentenced to prison He'll only do about a year, but his teenage daughter started wailing, literally just sobbing....his ex wife (mom of daughter) and her wife were there for the kids, but the ex girlfriend of my client and her family were in the back and laughed while all this went on. Yesterday at work, we were told that one of our co-workers was charged in a prostitution sting. I don't think he was arrested yet, but he's (allegedly) involved with a secret club of "buyers" that's spread over 15 states. :(
-
Everyone was shocked. I don't know how often it's said about people who do this, but he really seemed like the kind of guy who would never have done something like this.
-
George must be still drinking pink martinis.
I think I got that right.
Nope, but I did drink some Sprite when I went to The Spar. But before that, I got some autographs from the band members! They had merchandise and I bought their album 1969 (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005M5OS60/) on vinyl! All of their recordings are available on vinyl.
-
They signed after the show, but their main guy Thomas Lauderdale (pianist and leader) had left the autograph table by the time I got through the line. Oh, well. I think he autographed my program the last time that they were here.
