Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of finishing the book 16, and now it is time for you to post until the sixteen cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AEONIAN!
-
First post after BK!
-
~ ~ ~ strong excellent vibes and xylophones ~ ~ ~ for bk!!!
-
And CONGRATULATIONS on finishing Book 16!!!!
-
Sorry to have missed DR DakotaCelt last evening.
-
Glad your rehearsals are going well, DR TCB.
-
Good morning, SlingBlade!
-
I haven't a clew about what book 16 is, except that it's a comedy set in restaurants.
-
DR TCB! Are you up early, or up late?
-
Or just uptight? :)
-
At least you're upright.
-
Unless you're posting from bed on your iPad.

The new London cast recording of Women on fhe Verge can be streamed here:

Unless you're posting from bed on your iPad.
Bingo! That is correct!
-
I woke myself with a coughing fit (which is different than waking myself with an alarm clock).

Should I know this show?
-
Good day.
-
I was thinking in the back of my mind that bk had some connection to the original Broadway cast recording, but that may be incorrect.
-
DR TCB - hope you can stop coughing and get some more rest. If Nicky will allow it.
-
In the meantime, the Internet is abuzz with the possibility that Bette Midler will return to Broadway in Hello, Dolly!
-
I was thinking in the back of my mind that bk had some connection to the original Broadway cast recording, but that may be incorrect.
You are probably correct.
-
good morning to all
-
i want to be totally surprised when I read the new book
-
health vibes to all that need them
-
health vibes to all that need them
DOUBLE DOSES!
-
And,
-
since DR George is presumably asleep,
-
I will just say:
-
Well, since we're so close...
-
PAGINA DOS!!
-
Good morning, all.
More of the usual weird dreams.
Coffee!
-
For the past two days I have been reading The Martian. I had thought I could finish it yesterday, but that would have been pushing it. Today, for sure, then back to some other things. It's been a great read.
I'm very glad now that I didn't run out to the movie. I've enjoyed picturing things the old fashioned way, and I'll enjoy the film for itself all the more later.
-
TOD: Not a clue!
-
Congrats to BK on the finishing of another tome! I look forward to discovering what this one has in store.
-
TOD: Well, we know it's intended to be an outright funny one, and I believe it will be a series of scenes set in some favorite old L.A. restaurants. I have no clue other than that!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thanks for the Women on the Verge link, SlapJack.
I remember loving that movie when I saw in the theater, but little of the movie except for the colors seems to have stayed with me.
-
TOD: In addition to what's already been said, it's a BK original.
-
In the meantime, the Internet is abuzz with the possibility that Bette Midler will return to Broadway in Hello, Dolly!
Broadway or TV?
-
Good morning, all!
The first thing I did this morning was close one of my windows. It's cold!
-
I had three dreams; I remember bits of two:
1. At the intersection of I-75 and Roosevelt Boulevard in Middletown OH, a group of construction workers was stuck underground.
2. I was at an oratorio concert at Carnegie Hall, a performance of Handel's Judas Maccabaeus (I think), conducted by a Broadway conductor of whom I think very little. Joshie was there, recording it for Rob Berman, and our former DR Jose was in the audience.
-
More tax work today. Tomorrow morning I have lab work for my doctor's appointment next week, followed by work with Joshie on Cabin in the Sky.
-
I know nothing about BK's new book beyond the fact it will be funny and that's good enough for me.
-
Congrats to BK on the book!!!!
-
All of these strange dreams from DR ELMORE and DR CHAS SMITH should diminish by the end of the Mercury Retrograde on January 25.
Tomorrow we have an alignment of five planets that will make things run more smoothly, but that may attract some difficulties in relationships - business and personal.
-
Congratulations to MR BK on finished the book! I hope Muse Margaret is as enthusiastic as well!
Vibes to finish and get rid of the bad business today.
-
Good news from DR JEANNE....nice to see DR DAKOTA CELT here last night.
-
BK,
Congrats on finishing the new book. I wish I could write as fast as you.
-
I saw LEGEND last night and I think that Tom Hardy does quite a nice job as BOTH of the Kray brothers. I also like the music on the soundtrack.
-
TOD:
No idea what it's about, but I'll make a guess.
It's an in-depth biography of President William Henry Harrison.
-
TOD:
I am sure the new book has something to do with L.A. restaurants.....perhaps it is about a series of meetings at different locations....and something to do with the business of show.
-
We watched SICARIO last night with Emily Blunt.
Enjoyed it, but it does have some structural problems.
-
DR JRand65, I had a book about the Krays, which I bought in London in 2001 or 2002; I think it went out of the apartment during the bedbug mess of 2008. I very much want to see LEGEND. I really enjoyed the Brit film THE KRAYS: BONDED BY BLOOD, with Billie Whitelaw as their mother.
Maybe I'll dig around today and see if I still have the book. I see that LEGEND is already on DVD in London.
-
I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep - perhaps later I'll fall asleep on the couch.
-
So not one person has gotten Welcome to My World yet???

Just got delivered, five minutes ago! :)
-
Good morning.
-
I need to go hike a mountain. I weighed myself recently.
-
It was not pretty.
-
From DR TCB:
Interesting tidbit: Her doctor told her that her strain of flu was not included in this year's vaccine.
That happened a lot last year. Question is, did she have the regular flu shot or the quad.
-
I also find it interesting her doctor checked to find out what strain she had. I wonder if the information was sent to people who track these things.
-
Stay well vibes for DR TCB!
-
I might be able to send you an educational DVD if you like DR ELMORE. I have two or three books on the Krays.....all very interesting.

Before the movie came out I had "Brooklyn" on my wish list. Chances are I will end up seeing the movie first and might never read the book.
-

I wish I could join you.

Back from Xeroxing, delivering pages and dealing with the little irritant which was kind of painless and fast. So there. Now I wait for Muse Margaret's call. I was up at 7:30 and began futzing and finessing at 7:45. But I'm really glad I did a lot of that last night, especially the addendum because I was pretty happy reading this morning. I smoothed out a few things, added a couple of lines and reworded a few things and that was that.
-
since DR George is presumably asleep,
You got that right!
;)

Just got delivered, five minutes ago! :)
Good! Read and post a review on Amazon :)

I read the book last year and loved it. I really enjoyed the movie, too. They followed the book fairly closely, but had to take things out that the book, of course, could linger on.

And food? Will the book include recipes?? :D

I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't...yet. :-\

You should! The movie is actually very good, but the book is better. The detail is very engrossing and not boring at all.

I should have put a hold on it at my library. I'm #11 in the queue with 4 copies.
-
I put a hold on it with the Ashland library and am #84 in the queue. I might as well remove it.
I love the Vancouver library.

I love the Vancouver library.
Good!

Was just sitting on the couch, trying to watch a boring movie so I could sleep but sleep would not come and boy was the movie boring - The Last Five Years. Never liked the show, but the movie trying to BE a movie makes hash of the show's concept and in so doing renders everything pointless. I do like Anna Kendrick. I had to chuckle when the record label who did the cast album is part of the producing team. Shot on video of course -
-
Watch FANTASIA ... that always puts me to sleep.

The script has arrived! Thanks, BK!

My town got a new sign out by the highway.....there are two.....one to say HELLO and one a few miles down the highway to say GOODBYE.

Just had what can only be described as a heavenly phone call from Muse Margaret. I was so petrified about the stuff I wrote over the last two days just because when I get to the end of something and struggle with it I always think I've ruined it - but I was heartened this morning when I read the finessed version of those pages. Anyway, she had not one note - this has become her favorite book of all of my books. She was so specific about where she was screaming with laughter, but even better, for me, was that twice she got teary-eyed - that's a trick road but I wanted the book to have an emotional undercurrent, which it does. I obviously could not be happier.

That's great!

When I got the package from Kritzerland, I opened it and found the script to "Welcome to My World." I had to set it down for a moment to look at something for my work. I needed to look closely at what I needed to look at, so I set my glasses down because I can't see that close with my glasses, and this is exactly where I set them:

Tuesday (late) afternoon greetings! We were out of here at 7:40 this morning to be at Dayton's Schuster Center at 8:30 for "Bagels & Broadway." We got to be in the theatre for about 90 minutes of the ONCE load-in and to hear a lot about the technical side of touring this show. Richard and I visited the box office and bought 4 great seats for tomorrow evening's performance and we'll have a double date with Rob and Mary Linda. We, of course, saw the show in New York a couple of years ago, but the kids have not seen it and we think they'll both like it.
From the theatre, we went to the building that's serving as the main Dayton Metro Library while the building where I worked is being remodeled. Don't need to visit there again...
Stopped at Dorothy Lane Market, came home for lunch, and got busy doing this 'n' that and I realized I hadn't said HI today.

I've had a quiet day: changed my HP ink cartridges in my printer, printed some invoices, worked on my taxes, took some trash to the basement, picked up the mail and napped a bit.
Tomorrow, my life gets busy again. About time!
-
Cute pic George.

Hi Ginny :)

Hi Ginny :)
Hi, DR Jane!
-
So not one person has gotten Welcome to My World yet???
I mentioned last week or the week before that I had received it from Amazon. But I have not had time to read it yet.
-
Very cool, DR Ginny! :)
-
Glad to read that DR elmore3003 is returning to busy.
-
Nice sign, DR Jrand65. I wonder how much that cost the taxpayers?
-
Great photo, DR George! ;D
-
Very good news from Muse Margaret!
-
Cute pic George.
Thanks, Jane.
-
Great photo, DR George! ;D
Thanks, Sing.
-
Good news about the BOOK!!!
I'm not sure how much it cost DR SINGDAW....or how THEY cost, since there are two of them.....but we'll see when the spring tax bills come in.

I just may reveal what the book is later in the notes.
-
I did climb the mountain.
-
Nice Laura. I get tired of walking my flat walk, especially when I get poured on.
-
Keith has hijacked my facebook page again ;D
-
This time he has added two more relatives of his. I have a number of his friends as well, and he has become friends with my facebook friends. :)
-
I've known, or heard about, most of these people since I was in my teens.
-
I did climb the mountain.
I certainly hope that you raised your arms, twirled appropriately, and sang "The hills are alive!"
-
It sounds like your book will be a fun read, BK!
-
DR Vixmom be careful driving on Friday. I heard NYC was supposed to get a foot of snow.
-
Well, I must be going. I'm going to see a movie with some friends.
Until later.
-
I wanna go to the movies.
Maybe after this competition.
-
Or maybe not.
-
I never paid too much attention to modern music when I was growing up. Why listen to that when you could listen to Cole Porter, right?
Still, I did like the Eagles. We still dance to "Take It to the Limit" during waltz classes because it works with both American and country-western waltz. So, Glenn Frey's work was a part of the fabric of my youth.
-
A friend down the street gave me The Eagles' Greatest Hits for Christmas one year. I listened to it with some regularity. The only song of theirs I did not like -- and it wasn't on the greatest hits album -- was Hotel Califfornia, which the radio stations played to death back in the day. It took me maybe 20 years before I could listen to that song with any sort of appreciation for it.
-
Hey, Fred!
-
Hi, 1 Guest!

Cranberries!

And all that jazz.

Five!

I'm watching Coco Before Chanel tonight. Audrey Tatou is wonderful. And the images are beautifully composed. But it's somewhat lifeless at times.

Very nice. I have some theater going to attend to the next time I'm in Germany.

Well. THAT ground things to a complete and utter halt!
-
Pshaw. That was just the Invisible Man out for a late night stroll.
-
Back from a deelish celebration dinner at Genghis Cohen - with Sami and her mom. So good and I'm soooooo full.

I just signed up for the Audible free trial which gave me 2 free books. I have not chosen the 2nd book yet but my first download was th Martian which I thought would be good to listen to on our trip to Florida
-
Tonight was my final council meeting. I am sad
-
The storm forecasts are scaring me
-
Not just because we are driving but also because we are leaving the Vixter and my folks behind
-
Safe driving, Vixmom.
-
A trip to Florida would do me good.
-
Watching a video of the first act of Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate, who is surprisingly winning in the title role.
-
But act two will have to wait for later. I must go to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Kevin. What are you heAring about t he storm in your area?
-
Finished a motion picture and am listening to music.
-
Trying to upload videos to You Tube - insanely long tonight, despite the fact that this new modem is supposed to be of the highest speed.
-
We're having a double feature!
-
We watched "Labyrinth" and now we're going to watch "The Man Who Fell to Earth."
-
So, early ASK BK question. Have you mentioned if your new book is a Adriana Hofstetter novel. the next in the Red Gold series (assuming there is one) or.....???
-
It is not an Adriana Hofstetter mystery - it is not the sequel to Red Gold.
-
However.... :)
-
This damn video has been uploading for an hour already and it's still twenty minutes away from finishing. If it hadn't gone this far I'd just stop it now and try again tomorrow.
-
Good evening!
-
Tonight the Prop Master, the Costumer, and the Box Office Manager all sat out in the house and watched the run-through, along with the director.
-
It was so nice having some audience response, even if it was only four people. We need an audience -- NOW!
-
Six!
