Well, it was a disastrous commute for lots of people last night. There are reports of drivers being stuck on the beltway and other roads for 5 or 6 hours. The cause--about one inch of snow which became ice making for hazardous conditions.

Travel decision and execution vibes for those vixes!
Thanks for the vibes! I made it alright to the airport. The cab only took about 15 minutes to pick me up. The guy on the phone said it might take up to an hour.
Most of the suburban school systems are closed for the day. I imagine they'll be closed till the end of next week.
In my emails waiting for me I got the fourth edit of Act Two of Gentlemen, Be Seated. So, I've got more work lined up after Cabin in the Sky.

Very good news!

All along, I've been picturing funny restaurant conversations as including my favorite character Patrick Bronstein. But that would link this book to several Hofstetters, not just one book.
The storm is expected to bypass us here in Indiana and the Ohio Valley - so we dodged that one DR GINNY.
What's this? I guessed that much correctly?? Do I win a prize???

Yes, the admiration and thanks of a grateful nation. It's not worth as much as a sausage muffin from McD's, but close.

That, and bragging rights.

Excellent pictures there, TCB.
Here is a nice "preview" of SECOND SAMUEL written by a local reviewer, who can't review it, because he is in the play.

I've proofed the first fifty-one pages. The fascinating part was reading the introduction by the "writer" of the book about Mr. Bronstein. As you know I wrote it and the first page of what follows back in October, just a rough of it. I smoothed it out when I began three weeks ago, but in reading it I realized I completely didn't have the voice of the author character down - that didn't happen until the following chapter. So, I made quite a few changes in the introduction, ran them by Muse Margaret and it's so much better now.

I do. I normally don't really do any rewriting when proofing, but the intro had such blatantly wrong stuff in it that I had to. With everything after that, it's just minor stuff because I've already gone over and over it until I'm happy, prior to moving on to new pages.

Darn, I missed Vixmom. I could have asked her to text in the morning.
After work I went to a birthday party for a close friend. There was a great turn out of friends. We hadn't really gotten together since mid December, so we hadn't talked politics. People have pretty much decided and while there was a variety of choices, there were definite winners in each party. Interestingly enough there were several dems who are switching to Rep for the caucuses. This is fun

Were they switching parties to vote for someone or against someone?

Thank you. I'm looking forward to the afterparty. Actually, I'm looking forward to the competition. But we're dancing so much that it seems exhausting just looking at the list.

I just hope I don't choke. I usually don't get nervous, but I did in December. So, who knows?
Glad to hear TCB's show is going well.
And heaven knows we've all played to thirty people and even less.
