Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a go go, and now it is time for you to post until the a go go cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GRUNTLE!
-
The first post after BK!
-
The second post after BK!
-
Nope, not going there!
-
good morning to all
-
The blurbs are super, and I am really excited about reading bk's new book!
-
Nice video, also, for the Indiegogo campaign.
-
~ ~ ~ CONTINUING HEALTH VIBES ~ ~ ~ for DR Ginny, DR Jeanne, DR elmore3003, and any other DR in need of same.
-
Good morning!
-
Getting ready for work, NoDoze?
-
Nicky woke me up with a loud yowl.
-
But now that I am wide awake, he seems fine!
-
Good morning, all! It was a terrible night of sleeping, and I am getting a bit pissed at my doctor who has ignored two email requests for a referral for a hip X-ray.
-
In one dream, I was at some sorta party Steve Sondheim was hosting. There was goig to be a band performance abd I was copying a horn part. In another dream I took goffaughter Charlotte to the movies. We were seeing Into the Woods and I drew on the movie screen.
-
In another dream, I seemed to be in Into the woods but it was quite freaky and weird with more people dying than do in the lousy show.
-
Today, my Wright State student is coming back to show me has latest work on the arrangement with which he needs help. Untul he arrives, I have work on my taxes.
-
I am not reading the book blurbs. I want to know nothing when I begin the book. I am really looking forward to it because I love Mr Bronstein and that's all I need to know.
-
More coffee!
-
Getting ready for work, NoDoze?
I was out walking the dog. :)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Very slow posting the site just now. Half an hour ago my post wouldn't go through at all, just got a server time-out.
-
Anyhoo, best and strongest vibes to all on this lightly snowy morning.
TCB, I hope Nicky is fine!
-
I guess we all know now not to take DR Elmore out to the movies.....unless we make sure he brings his coloring book along.
-

Can't take me anywhere.
-
Donald Trump was just on CBS This Morning. I do not understand how any interviewer can look at this Nazi thug with a straight face and not want to beat him to death with a microphone.
-
Good morning, all.
-
TOD: so what was the name of this movie with Samantha Morton?
-
I was going to ask what the title of the movie MR BK was talking about in the notes was.....but then I read the rest of yesterday's posts, and there it was!
-
In another dream, I seemed to be in Into the woods but it was quite freaky and weird with more people dying than do in the lousy show.
Hey, you know, sometimes people leave you halfway through the woods. (Couldn't resist.)
-

It escaped me. Will go back and reread.
-
I wish I wasn't so cash-strapped......buying a new computer, paying my car insurance, purchasing a kitchen range for my brother, and making the first payment on my new life insurance policy have guaranteed me only pennies extra for a couple of months....
BUT - at least I got BOTH of my tax refunds last Monday - a total of $63....and only one week after I e-filed both!
I am in NO financial danger.....just not a lot of shopping for a few weeks.
-
I found it in yesterday's posts....I always read the notes then go back and read the previous day's posts I haven't seen yet....
It is called....THE HARVEST.
-
Good Morning All:
MY QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"When I was a teenager in New York, I was buying antique clothes. I still am." :) :) :)
-
Can anyone guess who the quote was from???
-
In another dream, I seemed to be in Into the woods but it was quite freaky and weird with more people dying than do in the lousy show.
Hey, you know, sometimes people leave you halfway through the woods. (Couldn't resist.)
Thanks heaps!

Wednesday morning greetings! Slept much better last night, having discovered that peppermint Lifesavers are quite soothing to my cough.

Today is Ash Wednesday. On Ash Wednesday seven years ago, I was one of more than 170 people at the newspaper to be laid off. It was a dark day but it became one of the best things that ever happened to me.
-
I like when some bad happens and in the long run turns out to be a good thing.

I'm glad to hear this.
-
I'm up, I'm up. Less than eight hours of sleep.
-
Yes, must go adjust the notes - The Harvest, a very bad title.
-
Passed the $1,000 mark. :)
-
Very slow posting the site just now. Half an hour ago my post wouldn't go through at all, just got a server time-out.
I haven't had any trouble here on HHW, but a site for my work, Facebook, and Comcast for my personal e-mail have been having problems. :P

Well, those tiny lavalier microphones don't do much damage. ::)
:D

Happy(?) Anniversary!
;)

I just watched SPECTRE, the latest James Bond film.
Some great action scenes, particularly the opening sequence in Mexico City, but the story is muddled and the film overlong.
And, if you haven't seen or, like me, don't remember the first 3 Bond movies with Daniel Craig, you're going to really be confused.

Congratulations.

;)
Thank you. The big anniversary news came from the Book of Face, which reminded me that four years ago today, I came home from the hospital after having cancer removed from a kidney. Still cancer free four years later, which is reason to rejoice and to remember those suffer from that nasty disease.

Bravo, John! I'm hoping my friend has some good news next week.
-
Another frustration that I experienced on Monday involved my printer, which refused to print in black even with what I thought was a new ink cartridge. Today I risked $18 on another new black ink cartridge and - VOILA! - I'm printing in all colors!
-
Technology DR GINNY.....ain't it grand?
Yes my mom used the wintergreen life savers to ease her cough. Perhaps I should try them as well.
-
Indeed DR ELMORE....I have NEVER received my refunds that quickly....of course....my refunds have never been so....uh.....small.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Slept much better last night, having discovered that peppermint Lifesavers are quite soothing to my cough.
I'm glad to hear this.
DR Jane, the other thing that helps is the See's chocolate hard candies!

Back from some chicken tenders and a bagel.

Hmmm, maybe we should re-watch the first 3 movies before seeing SPECTRE
-
I liked the first two of the Daniel Craig's BOND movies.....but I did not like the third one where they ended up in his childhood home and it was all about Bond and his relationship with his family and M......
The finale was so low rent and boring it wasn't like a BOND film at all.

They do, at least for a cough in my throat vs one from my chest.

I believe I have seen too many Bond movies, I don't recall that last one.

Just spent two hours assembling a working script of the LA show. All the song lyrics but two are in there now, plus the one sketch we have. I'm writing another sketch, which I may start today. Grant got busy so if we're working it won't be until seven or so, which is fine. If not, it had best be in the morning first thing.
-
33 pages so far and that's with VERY wide margins, which I think I'm going to fix right now.

Well, after much futzing around, the internet is back on my little laptop. Yay!

Congratulations on your anniversary, DR John G!

Passed the $1,000 mark. :)
Great news, BK!
-
Hello, all!
-
Bruce: I was very sorry to read about the death of Teddy. I thought your column very moving.
-
Been such a busy day, but not much done!
-
I like that DR JANE!
Me too!
:)
-
Time for an evening walk with the neighbor's dog. I hope the sunset is as beautiful as the last couple of evenings.
-
I like that DR JANE!
Me too!
Me, three! :D

Well, I must go. A few of us from Theater Artists Olympia are having a little meeting at The Midnight Sun about concessions and what is expected of our house managers. I'm not directly in the latest production (On the Verge), so I'm going to be a house manager during the last weekend.
Be back later.

Got a pop up that Time Machine hadn't done a backup in ten days. Usually when that happens there's a little exclamation point in the icon, but nope, so just how I was supposed to know this is anyone's guess, unless I've missed other pop-ups. Sure enough it couldn't find the router, a typical problem - and why the typical problem? Because of damn Time Warner having gone down on January 31st for four hours. What else is new? I should just automatically check whenever it goes down like that. Luckily, I wrote up the instructions and have them saved, so it really only took a few seconds to get it to find the router - it's now preparing the backup.
-
Passed the $1,000 mark. :)
Great news, BK!
Congratulations on your anniversary, DR John G!
Definitely something to celebrate!!!
-
Good Morning
-
Good Afternoon
-
And since I've FAILED to keep up today....
Good Evening
-
And after all that, I got's nothing to say today
-
Just heard from Grant - no working tonight, which means no way the book is going in before Monday, which is most irritating to me - this always happens - we get close, he gets busy, and then we just wait. Plus it took four or five days to get the final two blurbs. So, books in March is now iffy, but we'll see.
-
I like that DR JANE!
Me too!
Me, three! :D
Thanks.
-
Series Three of Inspector Lynley just ended with a real bang: Lynley's wife losing her baby and laving him, and Havers shot by the wife of the victim of the killer lesbian. It's too much to take.
I'm going to bed.
-
I like that DR JANE!
Me too!
Me, three! :D
Thanks.
Me four.

Watching another play from the Broadway Theater Archive. Tonight it's the Sty of the Blond Pig with Mary Alice and Scatman Crothers. Talky play about a black family that's moved from the South to Chicago. But the cast is wonderful and the story involving.
-
Donald Trump was just on CBS This Morning. I do not understand how any interviewer can look at this Nazi thug with a straight face and not want to beat him to death with a microphone.
Would you like me to send you my "Make America Great Again" hat? I have one of the red ones ;) :-*
-
Page four? Really?
-
Really. Page four.
-
Really.
-
And I have to say good night.
-

Before I left work, I realized that I had left my Square card reader at home, but I still could easily demonstrate the app on my tablet without the actual reader, so I didn't worry about going home and getting it.
-
As soon as I parked near the theater, I (sadly) realized that I forgot my tablet at work! :o
-
Dopey me!
:P
-
So, I'm waiting at the theater but no one else is showing up.
-
I texted my friend Vanessa who had called this meeting in the first place and asked if she's on her way.
-
SHE TOTALLY FORGOT!
-
I then texted back saying no need to rush because no one else is there.
-
She showed up and we texted the other two people who were supposed to be there...
-
AND THEY BOTH FORGOT, TOO!
-
WTF??
-
:-\
-
Anyway, we decided to meet tomorrow, again around 5:00 pm, and they can all go through what they need to learn for the Square reader.
-
Actually, only one of the other people hasn't used it before, and it is very simple.
-
So, that's what we'll do tomorrow.
-
Tomorrow is the $5 preview for TAO's "On the Verge," and the beginning of the second weekend of "Circle Mirror Transformation" at Olympia Little Theatre, which is what I'm involved in.
-
I've been printing pictures for the front window of The Midnight Sun (TAO's performance space) and want to show a picture of the set with the actresses in the show:
Tom, that's Dana on the left side of the picture (stage right).
-
Isn't that gorgeous?? :D
-
The enter set is covered in canvas and has map elements painted everywhere. The the stars are projections, but I don't know if the trees are also, or if they're gobos. I won't be able to see it until "Circle Mirror Transformation" is over, but fortunately, the performances are offset by a week, so I can see it during their final weekend.
-
And since we're so close...
-
PAGE FIVE ON-THE-VERGE DANCE!!
-
This is the exact same place in set, just straight on instead of from the side...and no night time stars and lighting.
-
And here is Tom's friend Dana (who was in TAO's live production of "Reservoir Dogs" a few years ago) and the fourth actor in the show, Morgan:

I'm going to bed.
They have certainly changed the story from the books.
-
And that's it for the pictures. I hope you enjoyed this shameless plug for Theater Artists Olympia's latest production, "On the Verge (-or The Geography of Yearning) (http://olytheater.com/season14/verge/) by Eric Overmyer.

Yup...it was a perfect storm of forgetfulness.

Thank you for my bedtime chuckles.

Yes.

I did thank you.
-
You're welcome!
-
Well, I have to go for a bit. I need to update something on my computer, which requires a restart, but then I'll go upstairs with my tablet and watch some TV.
Be back a little later.

She played my wife in ANNE FRANK and she was brilliant in RABBIT HOLE earlier this season.
-
Finished with my viewing, a really kind of awful movie with a very good actress.
-
They just had a story on the local news that had me in tears. Whew! Tough story.
-
It is late and I need to take my pills and get in bed.
-
Which means I need to switch to my iPad.
-
And we all know how reliable that can be.
-
We shall see in about 5 or 10 minutes.
-
Maybe later.
-
But it works!
-
Tonight anyway.
-
Nicky decided that he wanted to sit outside on the balcony instead of coming to bed.
-
So I left him out there and said, "Good night."
-
I left the slider open so he could come in whenever he felt like it.
-
He stayed out there for another two hours.
-
He usually lasts about ten minutes.
-
One more post.
-
Six!
-
George, I thought you would be on page 7 by now!
-
I've completed my evening ablutions and I'm up in my bedroom with my tablet.
-
George, I thought you would be on page 7 by now!
After my computer updated, I cut out the pictures that I printed for the window of The Midnight Sun.

Okay!
Hey, it's a post.
-
Yup.
-
And that was, too. :)
