Good morning, all!  Temperatures got into the 50s yesterday, so I opened the window.  It was still too warm and I slept very poorly.  I have the feeling that around 2:00 I will have to leave City Center since I caqn no longer remain awake.

I plan to leave here around 8:15, get to Radio City by 9:00, hit the post office there and post a package before I see my barber at 9:30.  Following that, I'm off to City Center and my first day on 1776.

I had planned to leave by 3:00 since I need to call about that X-ray if the referral is in today's mail.  I'm hoping the check is as well, since my sister-in-law Jo just sent us the property tax bill today.

Thanks for the thoughts on title.  I want to avoid a title with "Star" in it.  Because so much time has dragged by since this thing began in 2011, Steve Martin's bluegrass musical "Bright Star" is opening next week and I do not want another bluegrass star title floating around.

Last night's rehearsal was all right, and it's fun to play that book again.  It's a small production and the band is just the two keyboards and drums, no reeds and cello this time.

Keith is currently getting a temp crown.  I hope he doesn't have the same reaction to the injection I did.  I am prone to this kind of reaction and I can't remember if his is a top or bottom tooth which makes a difference.  It seems, t me, to be worse on the bottom.

I'm in the very comfortable waiting room at the GM dealership on the north side of Lebanon.  One of the sales reps has already stopped to chat and give me her business card for when I decide to trade in my Vibe.  What she doesn't know is that I hope to make it last until Richard and I decide we can do with just one car.

I've talked about doing one more short Kritzer book, which is all you'd really need.  The series ends in 1965 and my first memoir (which is really the continuation of it) begins at the end of 1968 so there are three missing years.

I have a soft spot for that show as it was my first ever Beoadway show and because when I was in college in July 1976 I was involved with the production that ran the entire month if July

It never got really bad but it took about an hour to settle down to normal speed

I hold my breath and that helps.  If it doesn't work at first I hold it harder and tighten my stomach a bit and that works.  Of course it might come back soon but at least I get a break from it.

He was also the cousin of a good friend of mine in Catskill. Her name was Jettie and she spoke fondly of him.

I heard some sad news today concerning two people I've not heard from in some time, an older orchestrator in terrible shape from cancer and a former, treacherous acquaintance ailing and not doing well.

The first show I ever saw on Broadway was 42nd Street. I loved it. All those Harry Warren songs and the chance to see people I'd read about in album liner notes for all those years, including Jerry Orbach, Lee Roy Reams, Joe Bova and Millicent Martin. Recently got a copy of the version that was televised in Japan with Elizabeth Allen, Carole Cook and Reams and Bova. I needed something upbeat this evening. It's just the ticket.

It's really not of sufficient quality to release -

Back from a trek to Sierra Madre, a good meal of fish and chips, then we did our reading, which went as well as those things usually go.  Then a few of us went out after and I had a little bowl of chili.  Home now and must write some notes, I guess.
