SPELLING BEE had a great opening night.
It's being performed in a small church with the set built over the entire altar and everything -- which is especially amusing when the back panels open up to reveal the church's own cross and "Jesus" is standing there. The church is quite willing to have the occasional musical (with erections and all) performed there, and to keep the set installed for the three-week run. They'll be conducting their services on it.
The house was only half full, but the audience, which included a real live U.S. Senator (Connecticut's Richard Blumenthal, our former Attorney General) could not have been better. The cast knew he was coming and would be one of the audience spellers, and that he'd be given the longest "Goodbye" so he could leave early. No entourage or anything, just him and his wife, and I'm guessing they have a house in that area.
I think E books have their place, but there is nothing like holding a real book in your hands, feeling the pages, and highlighting and underlining your favorite sentences.
It will be a SAD day when book stores become obsolete!!!

Thanks, DR Jane! Yes, sleep helps a lot and last night was better than the night before when I woke up choking and unable to catch my breath. That was scary.

Like DR Jane I would never write in a book. But the great thing about the kindle is that you can bookmark pages, you can highlight text and you can write notes. To me this is amazing, especially when writing reviews. This is such a great feature.
I love book stores and I love real books. But didn't you say that you had never used your kindle. So you can't really say if you would like it or not. I love reading and I was sure that I would never like using my kindle. I was sure that I would just use it for stuff that was not available as a physical book.
But think about having all of your books with you at all times. You don't have to worry about storage or ripping pages. If you want a book on release day then you don't have to go anywhere to get it, it downloads to your device at midnight. Sorry, but for anyone who is an avid reader I just cannot imagine them not having an e-reader.
And the word of the day is: ABSTEMIOUS!
I think people today don't have the sense to cover their moths and noses when they are sneezing or if they do they use theft hand and then touch things that others touch. Nobody carries a handkerchief anymore
DR elmore I am sorry about the test results, vibes PT helps.
DR Ginny sleep and rest due to the drugs is likely helping you to to recover. Vibes the meds work very quickly!

My sister always coughs into her elbow when she doesn't have a tissue. I've started doing that, too.

Really enjoyed the Intern. I've just started Ricki and the Flash. I don't like it.
Richard is watching SPECTRE, the James Bond movie and I'm sitting in the same room. Last night we watched BRIDGE OF SPIES and I liked it a lot.
TCB I am so sorry go hear about Sandy. He is in my prayers

I'm not sure if you meant to be funny but it made me laugh.
