Well, you've read the notes, the notes took a short walk, and now it is time for you to post until the short cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PASSEL!
-
First post after BK!
-
A Very Happy Birthday to DR Matthew!! :D
-
Well, we had a good show and audience for last night's "Circle Mirror Transformation."
-
Today is the final matinee, then strike (which shouldn't take much time at all), then it's done.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I can remember one crazy dream and a fragment of another.
I also could use another half hour or so of sleep, but it isn't going to happen. I will, however, enjoy a little time in the recliner.
-
Got me a 5:00 pm "matinee" this
aft evening, then I'm done till next Friday.
-
A very very Happy Birthday to DR Matthew!
-
Did you buy that new digital piano?
Inquiring minds want to know what you chose.
-
This group is doing GYPSY for two weekends this summer, outdoors in a town park. Or so I've been told. I have told them in return that I will join their merry little band of ten players.
-
A question for the class:
Those of you who have current or recent model iPhones -- what's the battery life like these days?
I was half thinking about drinking the Kool-aid and jumping over from Android. But I've also been enjoying the best battery in the business in the Droid Maxx for the past three years, and am reluctant to relinquish that luxury.
-
Happy Birthday, Matthew!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR TCB, I am so sorry for your friend San dy. Given the disease, I hope things turn out well for him and that his treatment goes well.
-
A very Happy Birthday to DR Matthew!!!
-
DR vixmom, When my brother Macbeth and his first (and nice) wife were 2 hours late for Christmas dinner around 1976 after having to deal with my sister-in-law's grandparents, my insane mother threw their gifts all over the front yard and told them never to come back/ You and Steve got off easy!
-
Last night I had two really weird dreams: in the first, I was at a family gathering around 1960, the Macbeths had invited my former friend and current mortal enemy Ethan Mordden intentionally to stir things up, and I had to interview Stephen sondheim about his favorite singers' recordings of his songs.
-
In the second, i was cast to play King Lear and I was terrified. I knew I could do the reunion but the scenes on the heath and his madness concerned me. The director was a nice lady who was convinced I could do it. All I remember after that id that she was driving from Wisconsin to DC or Baltimore and rehearsal would begin on her return.
-
I need to go to market today. I need apples.
-
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday, DR Matthew !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Speaking of cancer, today is the birthday of my friend who is currently undergoing treatment. I emailed him yesterday to see how he is and to tell him I have work for him.

Indiana politicians want to add $1 a gallon to the gas tax.......and they can't understand why no one likes their idea.
-
Stay well vibes for MR BK - and sit down when you can.
-
Indiana politicians want to add $1 a gallon to the gas tax.......and they can't understand why no one likes their idea.
What is it with brainless politicians? There is a real superfluity these days.
-
I'm ready to go back to bed and I've only been up for an hour. Oy!
-
Happy birthday to dear DR Matthew!
-
Happy birthday to Matthew!!!
-
Chas I can't find the link to your show. Though I know you posted it. I wax wondering if this is a show I could get to or if it was too far or closing too soon
-
Oh look I made a page two where there was no page two before
-
Good morning to all
-
Happy Birthday Matthew
-
Elmore I am lucky that they are very good and understanding friends and my shock and obvious embarrassment over misremembering the date and the speed with which we got ourselves there made them laugh,..... And of course we will be kidded about this for the next 30 years!!!

BK
With all the guessing going on in Facebook about the new CD release and your clues. I think I figured it out. I posted it there and I will post it here to.
EUBIE
Tony nominated among other things for its score and Eubie Blake will back (sort of) on Broadway with the reworking of Shuffle Along and an actor playing him onstage.
-
Chas I can't find the link to your show. Though I know you posted it. I wax wondering if this is a show I could get to or if it was too far or closing too soon
Two more weekends: http://twoplankstheater.org/buy-tickets/
I-95 to Bridgeport, then about 20 minutes up Route 25. It would be great to see you, but really, only do it if you're in the mood for a getaway to see a modest production with not even the full band.
-

Continued strong vibes for the friend of DR Elmore, and new strong vibes for the friend of DR TCB.
-
Bed made, iTune downloads accomplished, La Gioconda on the CD player. Time to head for the market. I haven't decided about chili or chicken stew. Maybe I'll buy fixin's for both.
-
When we were first married Keith had invited a neighbor couple over for dinner, without tell me, and then promptly forgetting about it. Fortunately another couple that had not been invited, it was usually a 3 couple gathering, said have a good time.
We weren't even going to be home. ;D
After that we began using a calendar.

Good Morning ALL

Sunday afternoon greetings! While Fr. Richard was getting dressed I woke up with one of those coughing spells and was afraid to lie back down after he left. After breakfast and meds I did go back to sleep in my recliner. This is getting very old. As am I...
-
Happiest of birthdays to DR Matthew!
-
DR TCB, please add my vibes and prayers for Sandy...
-
DR TCB, I am so sorry for your friend San dy. Given the disease, I hope things turn out well for him and that his treatment goes well.
Thank you, DR elmore!

Robotussin is helping with the cough, but it lingers.
-
Well I started watching THE MARTIAN last night.....but turned it off after about 20 minutes. He was planting potatoes....and I didn't think I could take another 90 minutes or so of it.
And everyone was talking so fast - I never did figure out WHY they all left the ship during the storm to begin with.....what was their reason? I didn't hear.....
-
Closing day vibes for DR GEORGE

Speaking of cancer, today is the birthday of my friend who is currently undergoing treatment. I emailed him yesterday to see how he is and to tell him I have work for him.

I sat here so long, that I talked myself out of going to church.

Some days shit happens. I got to the bank tyo deposit the check, put it into the ATM, it disappeared within the machinery and the screen said it was unable to return or process the check. I then spent 15 or so minutes with a customer service person named Keith who gave me a temporary credit of $500 and launched an investigation.
Since I do noit know when they will find the check, hopefully in one piece, I'm not doing anything with this account till the bank resolves it. Color me very frustrated and very pissed off.

Technology.

Now I am watching the dvd of Bridge of Spies. I had to stop for something half way, but I am liking it very much.

Eubie is correct. It's a really good revue - great music, great performances - Gregory Hines was a Tony nominee for it, but the strangest nomination it got was for best original score - that couldn't happen today.
-
I'm up after almost nine hours of sleep. Very groggy.
-
Well, I need to leave now for our final performance. I'm sure it'll be a good show. There's not much to the set, so strike will be fairly light and easy. Tonight, I'm house managing for TAO's show. So, it's a two show day for me. :)
Until later!

Cool! I have the album, but haven't listened to it in years. I never made a cassette (or even a CD) of that. Now, I don't have to. :D
-
And NOW I'm leaving.
-
I think I will read the book instead DR JENNIFER.
-
A Plus TCB, you are absolutely correct. It is Roslyn Kind, Barbara"s little sister.
-
TBC, So sorry about your friend, My prayers are on their way for him!!!
-
Two more Moross numbers down. The Act One closer is humongous and will take me a couple of days. I want a nap/
-
And now the damned cable box is behaving mysteriously. What a strange day.

Dang it looks like about 100 miles away and a couple of hours drive I don't think I am going to get there :(
-
I think I will read the book instead DR JENNIFER.
The movie is actually not slow like you'd think. They go back and forth between stuff happening on Earth and Matt Damon. So it is actually not just him staring at a potato. :)

So, Time Warner is sending a cable person with a new DVR for me tomorrow. While I was talking to the technician, the cable box went insane. at least i can watch a DVD tonight.
I left Joshie a message that I will not be in tomorrow. It's a bummer since I need the wordl, but I can work on the Moross Act one Finale.

Thanks to our esteemed host, bk, for the initial bday wishes!
-
Good Afternoon
-
My choir hosted a small get together after Mass at a choir members home for a lovely bday nosh and drinks. Tonight, dinner at "The Vans" which is a local establishment that is one of my fave's with a few of my pals.
-
I went out and did an errand, came back, finished the commentary (including the two new numbers), worked on the song a bit, and now I'll get ready for the arrival of Sami and mom at four-thirty. Genghis Cohen at five.
-
Congrats, vixmom, on passing 36,000!
-
Birthday bike ride completed. Short, but still a bike ride
-
I ended up getting a yamaha P-115. I like it very much.
Sounds good. It looks similar to (but I imagine it's better than) the Casio Privia PX-350-something-or-other I got a few years ago -- which I've ended up not using very much so it's serving as a valuable space taker-upper.
-
Congrats, vixmom, on passing 36,000!
Oh goodness I didn't even notice
-
Happy Birthday, DR Matthew!
-
Sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis, TCB.

So did I. :( Darn being in shows. I miss so much!
;)

I went to a museum board meeting on Friday. There were 4 people in the room other than me at the time. I was told three of them had very bad colds. Good grief
-
Today I went to lunch with my friend who also moved here from Buffalo. His 91 year old mother-in-law joined us. We then went back to her assisted living facility and visited for a while. His wife is currently in San Francisco visiting her son, daughter-in-law and baby.
-
Health vibes to all who need them~~~~~~~~~
-
I'm home now, but only for a little bit. The house manager for TAO's show tonight can't make it, so I said that I could. I need to deliver the money till anyway, so I might as well stay and see the show instead of having to go back all the way downtown at 10:30 pm tonight.
-
Congrats on your milestone, DR vixmom!
-
Page 5 is coming.
-
Very shortly.
-
Hello, page 5!
-
TCB won't have to work so hard later!
-
Back from the birthday dinner. The food was superb, as always, and we had lots of fun.
-
Happy birthday, Matthew!

Love Eubie. Be glad to get it on CD after all these years.
-
Vibes for TCB's friend, Sandy, and Elmore's friend.

I lost a weekend somewhere.
-
Jane, I tried to like Ricki and the Flash, but the script was just too clichéd to enjoy. Audra McDonald and Rick Springfield were the best things about the cast. Streep was good, but she had nothing original to play.
-
Good night, all.
-
Happy Birthday, DR Matthew!
Thanks, DR Kevin!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR MATTHEW!!!
Thank you, DR Cillializ!
-
Happy birthday, Matthew!
Thanks, DR JohnG
-
We're at intermission (TAO's "On the Verge" by Eric Overmyer) and there are about a dozen peope here.
-
They (and I) are really enjoying the show.
-
The set is beautiful and the costumes are great.
-
The actresses and the one actor are all very good.
-
It's just a shame that more people haven't come to see it.
-
There is one weekend left and for some reason people tend to wait until the last minute to see shows like this, but then it's sold out and they can't get in.
-
Too bad for them...and us. :-\
-
Oh, well. The show got a very good review.
-
TBC, So sorry about your friend, My prayers are on their way for him!!!

Thanks, everyone, for all the posts tonight.
-
One more post!
-
SIX!!
-
A quiet day at home.
-
Nicky has been zonked out on the bed all evening.
-
I am not sure where I get to sleep tonight.
-
I've shared a bed with men who took up less space than my 20 pound cat
-
Nicky has the body of an accordion!
-
We get mail delivery tomorrow don't we?
-
I don't know why I care. It isn't like I am expecting a letter or a package of any kind.
-
Wishful thinking. I guess

It is giving me second thoughts.
Yes, that really does make sense. The theater itself is accessible, but the building was originally built in the 1920s, so the bathroom was added later and is tiny.
-
I found out that tidbit on the Internet!
-
Do you get a few days off to rest?
Two, actually. I have tomorrow free, then I'm going to see "The Danish Girl" on Tuesday with a friend, then I have Wednesday off, then all next weekend, I'm volunteering all four nights.
-
All four nights for TAO?
-
Did you find out yet, if you are volunteering for THE PRODUCERS?
-
All four nights for TAO?
Fortunately, no. Thursday and Saturday, I'm house managing TAO's show again
(it was geat!), and Friday and Sunday, I'm ushering at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts...THEN I'm free!
-
Did you find out yet, if you are volunteering for THE PRODUCERS?
Yes! I have been confirmed to usher for it!
