I can remember one crazy dream and a fragment of another.

I also could use another half hour or so of sleep, but it isn't going to happen.  I will, however, enjoy a little time in the recliner.

This group is doing GYPSY for two weekends this summer, outdoors in a town park.  Or so I've been told.  I have told them in return that I will join their merry little band of ten players.

A question for the class:

Those of you who have current or recent model iPhones -- what's the battery life like these days?

I was half thinking about drinking the Kool-aid and jumping over from Android.  But I've also been enjoying the best battery in the business in the Droid Maxx for the past three years, and am reluctant to relinquish that luxury.

DR vixmom, When my brother Macbeth and his first (and nice) wife were 2 hours late for Christmas dinner around 1976 after having to deal with my sister-in-law's grandparents, my insane mother threw their gifts all over the front yard and told them never to come back/  You and Steve got off easy!

Last night I had two really weird dreams: in the first, I was at a family gathering around 1960, the Macbeths had invited my former friend and current mortal enemy Ethan Mordden intentionally to stir things up, and I had to interview Stephen sondheim about his favorite singers' recordings of his songs.

In the second, i was cast to play King Lear and I was terrified.  I knew I could do the reunion but the scenes on the heath and his madness concerned me. The director was a nice lady who was convinced I could do it.  All I remember after that id that she was driving from Wisconsin to DC or Baltimore and rehearsal would begin on her return.

With all the guessing going on in Facebook about the new CD release and your clues. I think I figured it out. I posted it there and I will post it here to.

EUBIE

Tony nominated among other things for its score and Eubie Blake will back (sort of) on Broadway with the reworking of Shuffle Along and an actor playing him onstage.

I-95 to Bridgeport, then about 20 minutes up Route 25.  It would be great to see you, but really, only do it if you're in the mood for a getaway to see a modest production with not even the full band.

Some days shit happens.  I got to the bank tyo deposit the check, put it into the ATM, it disappeared within the machinery and the screen said it was unable to return or process the check.  I then spent 15 or so minutes with a customer service person named Keith who gave me a temporary credit of $500 and launched an investigation.

Since I do noit know when they will find the check, hopefully in one piece, I'm not doing anything with this account till the bank resolves it.  Color me very frustrated and very pissed off.

I left Joshie a message that I will not be in tomorrow. It's a bummer since I need the wordl, but I can work on the Moross Act one Finale.

I went out and did an errand, came back, finished the commentary (including the two new numbers), worked on the song a bit, and now I'll get ready for the arrival of Sami and mom at four-thirty.  Genghis Cohen at five.

I ended up getting a yamaha P-115.  I like it very much.

Sounds good.  It looks similar to (but I imagine it's better than) the Casio Privia PX-350-something-or-other I got a few years ago -- which I've ended up not using very much so it's serving as a valuable space taker-upper.

A Plus TCB, you are absolutely correct.  It is Roslyn Kind, Barbara"s little sister.

DR Kate:
Umm, from your little brother: that's Barbra, not Barbara.

I went to a museum board meeting on Friday.  There were 4 people in the room other than me at the time. I was told three of them had very bad colds.  Good grief

Today I went to lunch with my friend who also moved here from Buffalo.  His 91 year old mother-in-law joined us.  We then went back to her assisted living facility and visited for a while. His wife is currently in San Francisco visiting her son, daughter-in-law and baby.

I'm home now, but only for a little bit.  The house manager for TAO's show tonight can't make it, so I said that I could.  I need to deliver the money till anyway, so I might as well stay and see the show instead of having to go back all the way downtown at 10:30 pm tonight.

I use mine a lot and I have to recharge it daily.

Jane, I tried to like Ricki and the Flash, but the script was just too clichéd to enjoy. Audra McDonald and Rick Springfield were the best things about the cast. Streep was good, but she had nothing original to play.

Yes, that really does make sense.  The theater itself is accessible, but the building was originally built in the 1920s, so the bathroom was added later and is tiny.

Two, actually.  I have tomorrow free, then I'm going to see "The Danish Girl" on Tuesday with a friend, then I have Wednesday off, then all next weekend, I'm volunteering all four nights.

Fortunately, no.  Thursday and Saturday, I'm house managing TAO's show again
