Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fine and had many parts, and now it is time for you to post until the fine and many-parted cows come home.

Good morning, all! I had planned to sleep an extra hour but my body told me to get yp.  I was having a weird dream in which I was traveling with two older ladies (sisters?) and we were dressed in clothing from around 1910. I remember waving to them from a window. They were both dressed in black and white stripes, sitting at a table and eating a pink sherbet. I was trying to pack my bags.

This afternoon, a camera crew is coming to my house to film an interview with me about Basil Rathbone. (You may recall that I wrote a book about him about 40 years ago, which is still available in paperback.) The interview will appear on the UK Blu-ray release of THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES.

The BAD NEWS is that this edition of HOUND won't be available in the USA. The GOOD NEWS is that I am being paid to do the interview.

And what did I just buy but Shop Rite's "Adult Tussin DM".  I think that's what they call it.  These are all the Robitussin DM formula at a fraction of the price of the name brand.  Mine was 1/3 the price.

I just lost a good 40 minutes I'll never get back with the stupidest customer service rep ever hired by Citibank. After two days of really wonderful reps, this lady was a total embarrassment.  I'm trying to get a Fed Ex tracking number for my new debit card PIN.  I don't believe this moron even knows what a tracking number is!

Second pension check - did not arrive.  I think my stupid mailman lost it or gave it to the wrong house.  Who knows?  It's outrageous - it was mailed last FRIDAY.  Now I have to wait until the tenth to get a replacement, which I'll drive over and get - then I'm changing the address to the UPS Store - that USPS person delivers on time and never screws up like this.
Title: Re: A FINE DAY OF MANY PARTS
Post by: elmore3003 on March 02, 2016, 01:04:10 PM
I now have the Fed Ex tracking number, and i've learned four things from Fed Ex:
  1.  A delivery attempt was made at 1:35 and no notice was left for me of the attempt.
  2.  Another attempt will be made tomorrow but I must be here to sign for it.
  3.  No, they cannot because of the customer's restrictions leave it for me at my local Fed Ex office; if i want to pick it up, I must make the trip to the Bronx.
  4.  If I'd like to schedule an delivery attempt at a specific time tomorrow, it will cost me $10.00. Screw you, Fed Ex.

So, I have been locked out of my Citibank account for four days now, thanks to this theft.  i cannot access any money and my frustration level is at an all-tie high.  I'd like some people dead. Now.

The checks are mailed from Burbank.  That's ten minutes from here.  And yet, the one I got took three days to get here.  That's service.  But it's just dandy that they keep raising their damn prices, that's peachy.

That's faster than New York mail delivery; it takes 4-5 days for a letter to get from City Center on 55th Street to my apartment on 82.

We had final auditions, saw one really good gal (she has a conflict during the run, so unless she can fix that, she won't be able to do the show - we're all hoping it's fixable), then I settled on the cast, which includes two alums, including B.J. Clark, the original Narrator/Dr. Leder from The Brain from Planet X.

Elmore, I don't know if things are the same in NYC, but in Washington you can choose to use your debit card as a credit card in any place that takes credit cards.  That way you don't need to have a PIN number.

Perfect teeth, and no dental pain.

You know how they work, right?  They have to drill these screw like things into your jawbone then they let the bone and gums heal for about three months then they go back and open up the gums and put posts on the screw things then they put the crowns on top of the posts

Oh yes, I know.  And if you go across the border to Mexico, they still cost you about $50,000.00.

 :)

Congrats on getting the interview, and getting paid for it!

I just finished the interview and it went well...except for the time that my stomach growled.

DR GINNY I have been coughing for weeks.  Yesterday I bought a Walgreen's brand cough medicine.  It made me COUGH a lot after the first dose.   But I have not coughed all day.....

Walgreen's Cough & Chest Congestion DM

And what did I just buy but Shop Rite's "Adult Tussin DM".  I think that's what they call it.  These are all the Robitussin DM formula at a fraction of the price of the name brand.  Mine was 1/3 the price.

And I'm now taking the Kroger version.  We'll see if it works any better than the 2 prescriptions I just finished that did little more than make me groggy.

Good luck!
