Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of hitching, and now it is time for you to post until the hitchhiking cows come home - they're currently on the MOOve.
-
And the word of the day is: RODOMONTADE!
-
Does the word of the day bring anyone to mind?
-
George, re your post last night - I'm not looking for huge money - just want to move the campaign along.

George, re your post last night - I'm not looking for huge money - just want to move the campaign along.
I'm thinking.
-
BK, PM sent.
-
PM answered.
-
Payment sent! Thanks, BK! :D
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Good night, BK!
-
First East Coast post!
-
Dang beat me to it!
-
The promised snow was a slight dusting
-
And I must to work
-
FJL it turns out I need to conduct a closing in Nyc o orrow afternoon
-
Good morning, all! My day yesterday was wonderful, the birthday bash was a huge surprise, and my damned left hip and leg drove me mad most of the night. I am walking quite poorly this morning.
-
I ended yp having the scallops last night. The dinner was quite deelish, and everyone else's dinner choice looked wonderful: Joshie and Jeremy had the short ribs, and John Bell had pork chop. I couldn't see what the folk down at the other end of the table had. There ended up being around 11 of us to wish Joshie a happy day. I wish there had been a camera to catch his surprise.
-
This morning, I saw my first roach in the apartment in about four years, I killed it, but I hope I am not facing a roach invasion.
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR John G, I saw both Len Cariou and William Daniels in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. I saw the show first I saw it first Labor Day weekend, 1973, with the original cast, then again in March 1974. Daniels, who replaced Cariou, was quite good in the role. The replacement for Mark Lambert was not good at all.
-
I need coffee!
-
Still got this cold, what else is new -- but tonight the show, and the closing weekend, must go on.
-
Fortunately, this HHWer's cough is pretty well under control. The DM has done its job.
Unfortunately, the cold moved into my head, so I'm doing what I can to stem the tide of sneezing and whatnot.
-
I despise being "that guy" who shows up for something while still half sick. But that's the way it has to be.
-
Very glad to hear the surprise par-tay came off so successfully.
-
good morning to all
-
i have some movies on the DVR. Probably will watch one or two of them
-
Thanks DR George. I an still in bed and it is hurtiing. At least I can bend it a little, for now.
-
Be eell vibes for DR Chas and eberyone who needs tnhem.

Good Morning All;
My prayers for healing to all DR"S in need of them.

MARY DID YOU KNOW!!!
-
Bruce I will shop and purchase for my Nook when we are home. You are correct, I am not sure when I will read them since I need to finish a stack of booksI'vechecked out of the lubrary and cannot renew.
-
Thanks for sharing your travels DR JANE. Glad you got your phone back!
Congrats to DR ELMORE on his shiny new PIN!
I am trying to imagine MR BK and DR JEANNE cheering Tricky Ricky on during a big match.
-
The word of the day reminds me of DR RODZINSKI.
-
And Rodan.....who was called Radon in the original movies.
-
After eight weeks, we still haven't seen the return of the $130 over payment, so I called again today. I had to leave a message, we shall see if I get a call back.
-
My mother is doing very well today - thanks to all for the vibes. She is tired and resting, but that is to be expected.
-
Glad to hear that MR BK has joined the DD Generation.....it is the way to go.
-
TOD:
No idea what we might watch this weekend. We have a lot of stuff recorded, but I'm sort of losing interest in some of these TV series (e.g. SHADES OF BLUE, AMERICAN CRIME STORY), which seem to be going nowhere.
-
Does the word of the day bring anyone to mind?
The Donald

I am very pleased. Continued healing vibes!

I came to the room for my sun glasses and decided to elevate my knee for a few minutes while snacking on coffee nut M&M's.
-
I shall head out now for a short walk. Keith's cousin will be hete around 10:30, with his family, to puck us up. We are the driving to a winery to meet up with his sister. I never met the brother until he returned home from the mitary with his wife he met in Thiland and his young son.
The sister was about a year behind us at Hamilton High. One day this person I didn't know walked up to me and introduced herself as my boyfriend's cousin. :)
-
Thanks DR JANE.....we are pleased as well.
-
Wonderful news, Jrand!
-
Does the word of the day bring anyone to mind?
The Donald
Duck?
I would never insult Donald Duck in that fashion.
TRUMP.
-
Friday afternoon greetings! I saw our primary care physician this morning. He prescribed an antibiotic just in case I have whooping cough (which he doesn't think) and he referred me to a pulmonologist who I will see a week from Monday unless they have a cancellation beforehand.
-
My mother is doing very well today - thanks to all for the vibes. She is tired and resting, but that is to be expected.
Continued vibes for her...

I'm up, I'm up - since six - allergy attack, then I went back to bed but couldn't sleep until about nine and then just for ninety minutes. Maybe I got five hours.

I got home from City Center around 3:00 and needed a nap. I feel quite lethargic.
-
And I am off to play a show. Pray for Rosemary's Baby.
-
I got hoe from City Center around 3:00 and needed a nap. I feel quite lethargic.
I would feel quite lethargic and need a nap if I got hoe from City Center, too!
;)

Back from a really good meeting with the set designer - he came up with something I really like - I made a few requests and a couple of suggestions, and now he'll do two versions via model - I'll be able to tell from those which will work best for me in terms of staging. One involves most of the stage floor being one level, while the other involves a square level (on an angle) in the front middle - I like that for certain reasons but have to make sure I'm okay staging around it. Either way will be fine. I've asked instead of using the actual theater floor that they build a stage, six inches off the ground, so if they do that then this other unit would be six inches on top of that - I just have to actually see it - very hard for me to tell on the computer. But it's designed for a lot of projections and seating, rather than one way, will be an "L" which I also like (we did Stages that way) and they haven't done an "L" in there in decades - it also allows for a few more seats.
-
Traffic was horrendous coming home until I was past Hollywood, then it was fine. Got the softcover of the book and immediately called - I feel the actual printing is a tiny bit too light and not reflective the the galley I approved. So, I sent that message and as soon as they assure me the print place is aware, then I'll place my order, probably on Monday.

Oh, and no pension check. And no call back from the post office.
-
Direct deposit begins with the April check. If they have to reissue the missing check (I doubt it will miraculously show up after a week), that one has to be mailed, but I'm having them mail it to the UPS Store.
-
Well, I'm off to a night of Grimm readings. Theater Artists Olympia is doing their second Words, Words, Words (http://olytheater.com/words/). Tonight (and tomorrow, which I won't be attending) will be selected readings of Grimm's Fairy Tales.
Be back later!
-
Hello!
-
Continued vibes for DR JRand65's mother!
-
I think a cold may be coming on so I ran out and got Zicam. I got the idea from BK.
-
Page three? Really?

DR John G, I saw both Len Cariou and William Daniels in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. I saw the show first I saw it first Labor Day weekend, 1973, with the original cast, then again in March 1974. Daniels, who replaced Cariou, was quite good in the role. The replacement for Mark Lambert was not good at all.
I saw William Daniels, too, when I was in NYC for ALA in the summer of 1974. And I liked him in St. Elsewhere.
-
Feel better vibes for DR Ginny and DR Jane.!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks, DR Jennifer! I've decided being sick is really boring.
-
Back, and crashing into bed. The show went well, and all of these miracles of science kept me from coughing and sneezing throughout. And then all hell broke loose on the way home. Just took the nighttime stuff and am ready to sleep.
-
Playing five (count 'em) hours of auditions tomorrow. Lordy.
And then my show.
-
Goodness. Page 3?!
-
My closing was cancelled so my trip to New York has been cancelled as well
-
Hello, everyone.
-
It was a long day but I managed to Get out if the office by 6:30
-
I've been watching the old TOPPER TV show. I think it holds up quite well. I loved it as a child and I'm still chuckling at it.
-
So, what are we going to do about this page 3 mess?
-
Feel-better-soon vibes to DRs Kevin, Ginny, and Chas!
And anyone else who needs them.
-
Then I went to the new Stew Leonard's supermarket as my mom asked me to bring her some milk
-
How are you, Jeanne?
-
What's happening, Vixmom?
-
Recovery vibes to JRand's mama.
-
Four!
-
I went to dance practice tonight. We've been working on some country western stuff, which is getting easier as I do more of it.
-
I don't care for all of the music, but the dances are energetic and fun.
-
Playing five (count 'em) hours of auditions tomorrow. Lordy.
And then my show.
Stamina vibes to Chas, too. I think he'll need them.
-
Two-step, West Coast swing, country-western waltz, nightclub two-step.
-

Ditto! And a few vibes that they can sing and that they have decent audition songs.
-
How are you, Jeanne?
Hi, John. I'm doing OK, thanks. How are you?
-
What's the show?
-
How the mouth, Vixmom?
-
After practice, we went out to get some dinner. The first place, which I really wanted to go to, had a 90 minute wait and we weren't in a mood to wait 90 minutes.
-
THe moral of that story: Never try to get seafood in San ANtonio on a Friday in Lent.
-
I don't care for all of the music, but the dances are energetic and fun.
That's how I've always felt about it. I like the dances much more than the music.
-
It is a different dirt of supermarket. Really wide aisles and if is like an IKEA inasmuch that the design leads you in one direction in a snaking pattern rather than the traditional parallel aisles.
-
How are you, Jeanne?
Hi, John. I'm doing OK, thanks. How are you?
Great. Tired. The bowling this morning didn't kill me.
-
The second place we tried, a gourmet hot dog place, was closed for the evening.
-
So, we ended up at an unknown Italian place and had good, solid food. The pizza was New York style, simple and honest and really good.
-
Linguine with clam sauce. And three enormous salads.
-
We had enough food for six. But there were only four of us.
-
And they have these animatronics set up all over the place that are operated by push buttons labeled kids push here!
-

That does sound different! I'm assuming that "dirt" means "sort."
-

How fun! I know of nothing like that here--or anywhere, for that matter.
-
A lot if organic and local grown stuff but limited selection and mostly high prices
-

That one took me a minute, too. Then I consulted Vixtyping for Dummies, Vol. 3, and found the answer. :)

Oh I was so busy posting I did not see I had company!,

Glad you finally got a good meal.
When I was working in Coco Beach, FL, my co-worker and I happened upon a similar Italian restaurant--simple, but very good. We returned several times, despite many other options.
-
Welcome John and Jeanne!
-
And gold stars for both of you for successfully translating my posts

This is a "go with the flow" kind of thing. Don't be too literal.
-
I think Stew Leonards is. Conneticut thing.... Or maybe upstate New York
-
Welcome John and Jeanne!
Thanks, Vixmom. How're you doing?
-
I would like to have to go bowling for work! Was it fun?
-
I did end up buying three beautiful fat pork chops like two inches thick on sale. It cost less than $5 for all three and I planned to cook them for dinner
-
Then Vixdad came home with a hankering for Five Guys
-
I did end up buying three beautiful fat pork chops like two inches thick on sale. It cost less than $5 for all three and I planned to cook them for dinner
Wow! That's really cheap.
-
And on our way to five guys his hankering turned to a California pizza kitchen craving
-
So we ended up at CPK where I had a 1/2 Thai chicken pizza and 1/2 wild mushroom pizza
-
So Vixdad's hankerings can be rather flighty.
-
Thank you for the vibes. I was really sore the first day after the root canal but slept fine last night and the pain was gone today
-
Health vibes for Ginny
-
Health vibes for Chas
-
Another DR with a good meal after a change of plans.
-
Rapid Recovery Vibes for JAck's Mom
-
Where is our TCB tonight?
-
Continued, time-released vibes for success and comfort throughout all the dental work to Vixmom.
-
Where is our TCB tonight?
Probably out cruising on his scooter.
-
Where is Cilla?

I would like to have to go bowling for work! Was it fun?
Sure. I'm terrible at it. I was last in my first game and first in my second game. So, I don't really know what I'm doing, but I bowled four strikes in the second game.
-
Went to Gelson's and got some salad with veggies and drowned it in red wine vinegar, so no calories at all. I'd netted out at 600 today after the jog, so got some shrimp cocktail shrimp and this humungous bunch of lettuce and stuff.
-

Actually, the best part might have been that you can't bowl with out some liquid help, so that was deemed OK for this outing, as long as you worked from home the rest of the day.
I didn't actually have anything, but a co-worker had a mai-tai. It looked terrible. Beer is probably the best bet at a bowling alley.

Pat Conroy has died.
I really enjoyed his books. But I hadn't read a word of his when I met him. I had only seen the movies, Prince of Tides and Great Santini. He was coming to Sarasota for a books and author conference, and his one stipulation was that his interviewer had to have read something of his. I guess he was tired of the "Where do you get your ideas from?" and "Is your work autobiographical?" and "What do you think of Barbra Streisand?" I mean, the interviewer didn't even have to have liked Conroy's books; he just had to have read something by the man.
So, someone else interviewed him, and Conroy came to the office that day for a sit-down talk. He went around and spoke with everyone for a minute or two and was as nice as could be. That, probably more than anything, was what got me started reading him. And now I've read all of his books, even his cookbook.

But don't you read everybody's cookbook?
-
I wonder if we'll ever get to read his sequel to Gone With the Wind, which Margaret Mitchell's family nixed because Conroy saw one of the characters, Scarlett's brother, I think, as being gay. Apparently, there are no gay Southerners.

Nice! She was in "Triumph of Love" at the late Capital Playhouse and was wonderful.

One of the characters in "On the Verge" was constantly doing that...saying the wrong (but close sounding) word and correcting herself.
