Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Burt Bacharach, and now it is time for you to post until the Bacharach cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AUTOSCHEDIASM!
Smoke on your pipe and put that in.

First post after BK!

I will leave here around 8:00, stop at Staples to fax that Citibank inquiry to them, and then head down to 23rd and Fifth Avenue.

Vibes for Elmore that the Citicard mess and check mess is finally resolved
-
I would think if you contact the people who sent you the check that they could provide you with copies of the front and back (assuming it was cleared)
-
Sounds like vibes are needed for all sorts of folks for all sorts of reasons.
-
I would think if you contact the people who sent you the check that they could provide you with copies of the front and back (assuming it was cleared)
I will only contact them if Citibank confirms they have nothing. My belief is that they have it, possibly mangled, and they need verification of whom it was made out to and the source.
-
I am feeling ill. I may call and reschedule my appointment.
-
Big relief! I am now set for 9:00, March 24. I'm going to lie down for an hour, see how I feel before heading to City Center. I have to get the scores to Joshie and accomplish some work on finishing this score, If I still feel lousy, I'll take them home with me.

A week or so ago, a co-worker in the office brought up the approaching "spring forward" event. Someone commented that it was to be the first Sunday in March.
I took that to heart, didn't look it up...and Saturday evening changed ALL my clocks.
Imagine my surprise Sunday morning when I learned we don't spring forward until NEXT Sunday.
Sigh.

Sometimes your eyes look blue to me....

I saw yesterday some people mentioned that their PBS stations were having pledge breaks. Did they interrupt Downton Abbey? Mine went thru from 9pm till around 10:40pm and then had the pledge stuff all at the end.
-
The weather is supposed to be more mild this week. Imagine my dismay to see snow this morning. Falling hard. Winter please end now. Thank you.
-

KQED in San Francisco was, indeed, doing pledge breaks, but they did not interrupt the finale to "Downton Abbey"..

Just finished watching the last of Downton Abbey. I agree with you, Kate. Fine ending to the series.

In his autobiography, Unfaithful Music and Disappearing Ink, Elvis Costello devotes a large chunk of his stories to his love of Bacharach's music and what it was like working with him.

Vibes for Ginny, ChasSmith, JRand's mother and anyone else in need.

We are at the dentist office getting our crowns put on. I refused a shot for the short period it took to drill off the temp. It hurt but once the work stopped so did the pain, unlike the actual shot.
-
Silly me thinking the painful part was over. I have had worse though and it is over. The big question is will the sensitivity ever go away and will I be able to eat on the tooth.
-
Tooth vibes for DR JANE.
Thanks DR JOHN G so far so good today.
-
Interesting that Peyton Manning is retiring today - a couple of weeks after the scandal about his sexist college behavior started being told again....that and a few other family "deals" and behaviors.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep
-
Please save show vibes for tomorrow.

Each station does their own thing their own way. You're lucky that all the pledge stuff was at the end. I've never seen that happen from the Seattle PBS station. I've never watched "Downton Abbey," so I don't know how the Seattle PBS station did their showing.

The great list of souvenir programs is up on Indiegogo at $200 for sixteen programs - since I've already been offered fifty for one of them, I'd say this was a pretty good price :)
-
Travel vibes to DR KevinH!
Ditto!
And I am home. 1776 is finished on my part. Joshie has lots to accomplish before Friday. His goal today is to finish up the percussion and harp parts so the players can look them over by Friday.

Thanks for the additional travel vibes ! They're working so far. My flight to LaGuardia was on time, the bus to JFK made good time and I've checked in for my flight and made it through security.

Well gosh. I still liked it, though! And I KNEW that...I did...once...I'm certain...almost. I let Dionne Warwick singing it throw me, I guess.

I had spaghetti for supper one night two weeks ago.

Not exactly, but a couple of film musicals are included. Both have been on CD but both are OOP and are bringing higher prices.

Just had to share. :)

Hi George.
-
Congratulations, BK, on the deal with Rhino.
-
I was reading with my knee elevated. I need to do the dinner dishes not-very exciting I know.
-
It's already very hot here.
-
Dance practice was really too hot.
-
I then came home and started cleaning. And that has left me a little too warm.
-
They're predicting thunderstorms starting tonight and continuing through Friday. Then Saturday is supposed to be 90. In March.
-

I don't know. What pattern are the dinner dishes?
-
LOL White with a wide black trim. We purchased them for our condo.
-
Hi George.
Hi, Jane.
-
DR John have you cooled down yet?
-
And on that note (D#), I'm off to pick up my friend Margo from the airport. I drove her there last week (she was visiting her middle daughter in Washington DC), and now she's coming home.
Until later.
-
Keith has popped corn and we are going to watch the 2 hour episode of Downton Abbey,
-
We just watched Downton Abbey again.
-
WLIW 21 did not interrupt the show with their begathon. Although the there was plenty of begging before and after the show
-
WNET 13 did the same yesterday
-
I was very pleased with the episode
-
I saw yesterday some people mentioned that their PBS stations were having pledge breaks. Did they interrupt Downton Abbey? Mine went thru from 9pm till around 10:40pm and then had the pledge stuff all at the end.
They didn't interrupt Downton here, and I loved the finale
-
It was 80 degrees here today. Normal high is about 42
-
DR John have you cooled down yet?
Not really. A headache has begun to settle in. I'm off to bed as soon as I finish this movie.
-

That is a bit of a difference.
-
Watching Ripley's Game, which is really fun and entertaining in ways that are surprising. Of course, John Malkovich is wonderful, but so are Ray Winstone, Dougray Scott and the screenplay. The Ennio Morricone score is spare, but really good. Just surprised this was so overlooked when it was released.

I did, too. One of the more satisfying endings to a TV series in quite a while.

Everyone left the building.

Now down to 2 guests.

Back in a few.

So, the Pan Pacific Auditorium keeps popping up. The entrance to both the Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando and Disney California Adventure but are modeled after the facade of the Pan Pacific Auditorium. Also, I remember the facade was used in the movie "Xanadu" - a show that I'm doing this summer.
-
DR John have you cooled down yet?
Not really. A headache has begun to settle in. I'm off to bed as soon as I finish this movie.
I hope your head is feeling better.
-
Watched one episode of House of Cards, but spent quite some time in fixing the chart that came earlier - that's all fine now and it's gone off to Lanny.
